I'm sorry if that discussion offended your opinion however this is just subject to be discussed, nothing more. Exhaustion mechanic hasnt been touched in ages. I'd much rather to see some improvements to faster healing or bettet anti tunnel rather than survivor teams running multiple exhaustion perks while stacking multiple vigils.

It wasn't touched for a good reason - because it's on the good spot right now.

Another survivior nerf wouldn't be justified. Healing speed was nerfed just like a year ago.

  • Yeah, giving such a low amounts of shards and BPs makes no sense for me too.

I wish they could give us more, 10 shards when a full skin costs 21600 seems weird.

  • Guys, these are challenges. You are supposed to work for the completion.

We need those kinds of challenges because doing 10 generators, healing 15 surviviors is too passive and uninteractive.

  • So then we make pop 7%, pain res 8% working only on 2 surviviors, surge 4%, bamboozle block windown for 3 sec and 10% speed, dms for 20 sec, grim 3s and then 20s after 4th hook.

    Deal?

  • He needs the autoaim to be nerfed hard, that's the main reason of frustration from the survivior side.

Also his mobility most of the time let's him block the vaults/pallets, nerf that aswell?

  • We are forgetting that bhvr has a killrate target.

If killers will be underperfoming, they will get buffed accordingly.

We need to give them time and benefit of the doubt on this.

  • Blight's had their fun, moment of glory for way too long.

Dev's got rid of it for a good reason.

It was great change and blight still needs for nerfs.

Only people that would agree with you are blight mains. Nobody who plays mostly survivior wants to see the hugtech back.

  • Surge gives m1's passive regression, info of someone who does the gens, which gens have progress etc. It is a good perk

  • It's a good change. Should not be reverted.

  • Twins main stomp. This comes down to learning the killer enough. I don't agree with twins getting buffs.

  • Depends on the time.

I didn't have much fun playing around Kaneki's release. I would face only that one busted character.

Now after nerfing that killer and him becoming less frequent it's better for a survivior side.

Waiting time on the killer around that time made me only play survivior, on top of the bloodmoon event. Everyone seemed to play the killer back then.

Now queue times for killer are really fast again, so I let myself play a lot of killer lately and it's fun.

Trying out new builds, new killers that I wouldn't touch before like Vecna, Pig, Dredge, Unknown.

  • You can play ghostface with iri camera addon. I did the math - with lethal persuer and this addon.
8 hooking gives you 252 seconds for a quest. Just for one perk with one addon. (you need to knock marked people)

You can also use floods of rage, bbq, bitter murmur additionally.

So it can be done within one game.

We should not cry about more challenging quests that make us put some thought into a match. We need more of them.

  • Tier 46-ish? I completed almost every milestone.

I still don't understand why rift pass is made infinite.

  • Did you guys ever had a teammate to throw the match for a challenge?

I remember a yun-jin doing all the totems and 2 chest in a game.

We basically played the game 3v1. We still finished 4 gens before everyone died. All we needed for a 4-man escape was the yunjin do one gen. Just one.

I definitely want the quest's to be that easy to do. With increasing the rewards.

  • Here is my take.

Mage hand - if you are close to survivior, it's amazing to fake using it. This gives vecna free hits, because surviviors will greed the pallet.

Never use mage's hand if you know that survivior will be able to drop the pallet before you use it, this will slow you down more and give survivior time. You need to preuse it, when you can feel that survivior won't be able to make another circle around the pallet.

Orbs block magic item's buffs. It only matters tho when you feel that survivior has mage's hand item. I mostly use that on surviviors that I am in chase with. 7% haste is too strong for survivor, you want to prevent that.

You can always use them for info on generators. That way you know where to go. It's the best to use them before hooking a survivor, after downing them. Good with pop goes the weasle.

Skeletons are mostly good on high loops where surviviors don't have LOS on you - high god rocks, walls. You can also preuse them when you feel like survivor is gonna vault the window or a pallet - they can't avoid them while on animation.

Another good use of skeletons is when survivior would be able to make distance to a pallet. By using spell you force them to crouch before they make it to the pallet, letting you have free m1 hit if done corectly.

additional tip: don't be too close to survivor - skulls have some distance from the killer on use.

Fly: I mostly use it to close the distance to survivior that I hit with m1/skeletons. I pair it with rapid brutality aswell for quicker catch-up.

Vaulting after a survivor is also a great idea - you need to get used to timing of turning off the fly. I kinda close it slighly before the vault. Using "Potion of speed" addon helps a lot - I use it every match.

  • It still counts 4 quests, when we finished 5 btw.

  • For surviviors I wish winchester brothers to be adden, Rovena maybe?

For a killer I want an Angel - original chapter.

Slenderman could be fun, but I don't think he will ever be added.

  • No killers should vault the pallet and have a free hit for it.

That's why chucky's scamper was destroyed to the ground. Kaneki's kidnap tech is still too strong.

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

@vol4r I think we still do, because when I checked my level and compared it with the amount I got through quests it didn't add up

You are right. Seems like we get passive 5 rift fragments per game.

It's still downgrade because we were getting 1 rift lvl through 8-9 games and now we get 1 lvl for 20 games.

  • I play a lot of non S-tier killers - dredge, vecna, legion, unknown, trapper, pig - they are not strong, against good opponents, swfs.

I am so tired of being #########-talked, tbagged about losing. People waiting at the gates to just tbag, click the flashlights and they go hard at endgame chat.

It shocks me that a lot of people are being toxic to those "bad" killers. Do they actually prefer being stomped against nurse, blight, kaneki, spirits and billys? It's the community aswell that makes people go for those strong killers. Which I think are boring, there is no challenge for me, so I avoid those.

  • I literally had few people thanking me for playing dredge this month. Really makes you think

  • @Glaive said:

I personally think Blight needs the cool-down on pallet breaks, not Ken.

    They both do.

Breaking pallet and immidiately catching up to surviviors was a big problem.

Dropping pallet should give surviviors some distance, as killer breaks them. Kaneki and blight could easily play around that, giving survivor no chance in chase if played well.

This is healthy nerf. No killer should be able to break the pallet and immidiately catch up to survivior.

  • It weird to me, because they made infinite rift rewards and we are not gaining any rift fragments through playing like before, only quests.

i also find more enjoyment in normal mode since it's much less chaos yeah, but was never bothered with BPs at all they were even quite often sitting at 2M cap because i just couldn't bother spending them

I also feel like 2v8 chases take away power from me, as a survivior when 2 people are chasing me. There is literally nothing I can do.

On top of gameplay I enjoy prestiging my characters. It gives more depth and reasons for me to play. I came from grind games when I came to dbd. That's what I am used to do. I am now having 11x p100 and 4x p75, I enjoy the grind and accomplishment from "finishing" another character.

  • He definitely needs a nerf.

Did you guys even try high mmr europe? It's blights almost every other game.

69% win rate on high mmr, btw.

  • I agree with singularity being overbuffed. I don't agree with houndmaster tho, she is not that strong and also snug's vaulting speed is getting decreased literally today.

I feel like it's really hard to balance the killers sometimes. Before buffs singularity was really strong on PC. Now he is literally stomping on PC. I don't know about consoles, but people were reporting it's really hard. That's the reason he was buffed.

It's difficult to balance the killers on multi platform games and wide spread of skill level within the community in asymmetrical game.

  • I would love to have nancy portrait from achievement back on my steam profile!

if BPs are the only thing that gets you going to play the game and this mode, you are simply just fundamentally not enjoying the game at all.

I wouldn't agree. I find more enjoyment in normal mode, that's all.

Playing killer would be so much better tho, I would prefer that in 2v8 but waiting time is just too long for me. I always play side that has smallest waiting time

  • No incentives is deal-breaking for me. I play with 3-4 cobblers/bloody party streamer every game with my friends.

Playing 2v8 for 30-40k BP might not work for me.

We should enable BP offerings in this mode.

You mean like survivors have the just leave ability when 1 survivor remains and is down? They abandon to skip the mori or being hooked. This is being debated a fair bit in another thread lol

I don't understand why killers are mad over surviviors leaving for mori.

You won, we get it. Watch the mori alone.

  • @UknownShredder said:

I know it sucks to lose the amount of blood points left but if it continues and you prestige every character to100 you will sit there thinking, what now? Try enjoying the gameplay.

There is 39 killers and 45 soon surviviors. We have a loooooot left to do.

  • Yes, declutter our inventories! We don't need so many offerings.

Especially if only a few are in use all the time. If people run out of cakes/bps they just change character.

I think 50% BP should be retired, green and yellow category BP should be doubled like you said.

I like the ideas tho I agree with them

  • Chucky scamper was nerfed to the ground and now kaneki exist with his leap-vault

  • We need to encourage people to play survivior.

If we want to do it, we need:

    1. Nerf problematic, S tiers that surviviors go against all the time, Kaneki, Blight, nurse, Spirit.
    2. Give people killer variety, so they don't feel drained that quickly. Implement a system which doesn't allow us to go against same killers all the time, that's for start.
    3. Better matchmaking system, because playing in a same team with much less experienced player and losing because of that is not alright.
    4. Going next prevention system
    5. Good quest system, to let surviviors have something to do. More quests aswell!
    6. Fixing slugging, tunneling, camping issues.
    7. Implement come-back system for surviviors - right now you know that match is doomed since 4-5 gens, most of the time.
    8. Give surviviors some fun mechanics! Balancing the game around efficiency isn't the right choice. We have useless flashlights, bad flashbangs now. This decreased ways for surviviors to have fun.
    9. We have bad hit detection system - getting hit behind the vault makes people angry, it does.

That's for start. If I get more ideas I will make sure to share them.

Regarding gen-splitting, since killers often complain about this. How about changing the individual generator repair time to 120 seconds (120 charges), and remove the teamwork debuff instead. This would also serve as an indirect nerf to BNP's, considering they take away 10 charges.

That way, gen-splitting would become less effective, and teamwork would be more necessary to complete generators faster.
However, with a change like this in place, generators would need to be spread much further apart, to prevent excessive 3-genning by killer players.

I am not doing a gen for 120 seconds. Considering gen regression perks take % of the gen progress I would be done as survivior - never queue up again. We can't do that. Gens already take 90 seconds, that's a lot. It used to be 70 sec.

  • We could also add some kind of "favorite" character sorting option, which would push them on top of the list.

I can have plenty of p25/p50/p100 which I do any play mostly my p11 unknown or vecna (which I do, lol).

Having easier access to them would be amazing. Especially with 38 killers in the game. Same goes to (soon) 45 surviviors.

  • Perk restrictions are not a good idea if majority of playerbase is casual.

We shouldn't balance game based on competitive rules.

  • I used to be flashlight user on 95% of my matches. Since Kaneki I didn't use one at all.

I have almost 10k hours in the game and I know that I will lose if I don't do gens, that's it.

If you don't succeed at the save it's time wasted, too much of it. Also people die close to walls most of the time, making it impossible to save.

Killers got too much power now, surviviors can't let themself to lose time if they want a chance to win the match.

I think that we're getting PTBs too much and too fast. It legit sometimes feels like the time between them is smaller than the time PTBs are online for.

So what is the issue with PTBs:

    1. Hype. PTBs kill Hype. If we get access to something after 0-2 teasers and no trailer, just tossed into the game, it doesn't feel special. It feels like any Bugfix update that just drops for no special reason.

    2. Limitations. PTBs are Pc only and downloading them is annoying. This means only a certain chunk of the player base is willing and able to download them, biasing the feedback.

    3. Pointless. If the update is for something like a new killer or a Freddy level rework I can at least understand why, so people can test it out. However, this PTB doesn't really test anything major. Like 3 new Survivor Perks, the new haste system and the new progression system. That's it. It doesn't really help to get 4 weeks of feedback on that.

    4. Resources. Making a PTB Takes Resources. You need special PTB servers, you need to create a ship ready build, you need to make everything play ready a month before it has to be. It would be better if resources were actually focused on the game.

    4. A lot of times PTB feedback is not put into the game, or is actually negative if put into the game. The only time I can think off where PTB feedback stopped an otherwise bad thing it was the twins rework. Other times it either only affected really minor things they could have patched in later anyway or made things worse.

4.1. Since the midway PTB Update Info is gone, you might as well cut the PTB in half, now that we can't give advice based on what is actually planned for half the time.

    5. Matchmaking. Matchmaking in PTB is bad if there is a killer update. It also makes normal queue times worse by splitting the queue between main and now.

So please either stop doing PTBs or lessen them at least.

You are not forced to take participation in the PTBs.

I always go into ptb with my friends, it's nice to have it and voice my feedback afterward.

  • Well, there is event which gives nothing to survivior (only finishing the gen gives you decent BP) offers a lot of BP to killer - 2k points for hitting surv with a fuel can, 5k for hooking them with it.

Kaneki got released is a broken state, which surviviors refuse to play/find it miserable.

Killer bp gain equals surviviors 2-3 bloody party stacking. Some people play other games, some people want to grind as a killer at this point.

I personally don't play without 3-4 man stack now. It's not great.

90-95% of the games are kanekis and blights at high mmr in europe. It's just hard for surviviors right now. Even with arguably survivor-sided event.

Thank you for the transparency! Are you able to share anything on when the patch might release?

    15.04 is next ptb btw

  • Get better as a killer?

Playing without friends is miserable and boring. I wouldn't be playing solo queue, just like most of playerbase.

  • I feel like I get faster surviviors lately. Note: not mft faster, it's more then 3% for sure.

    Might be soft cheating.

  • Should totally be reverted.

  • How many hours do you have? How can we measure your experience?

If you're not successful on the killer, it doesn't mean he is not too strong.

  • You suggest surviviors to stop playing for 2 weeks instead? Like they do now? Which kills queues too, I want to remind you.

I would love for that reason killer prevention system that doesn't let you play against same killer twice in a row, but every other game.

  • Killer prevention system. Please.

Playing against just one killer for last 5 days makes me drained.

As someone with P100 on 0 characters, and not even being close to any, I'm just wondering, if a player has P100 on a specific character, does that really make them qualified, or whatever, to voice their opinion/teach things about that character as an "expert?"

    Definitely no.

I have p100 trapper that I did for memes. Do I play him? No
