Sad news.
OG internet users do enjoy forums and I am one of them.
I am sure that I will not be participating in discord or reddit, those platforms are messy in comparison to forums.
With that being said, we might never talk again so good luck everyone. See you in the fog.

Some decent scores on the survivor side too. Only one under 10k. So you're not leaning hard into immediate tunneling and you're winning all your matches with what's considered one of the weakest killers, something people love to say is impossible. How very interesting.
Oh yeah. I am trying to atleast 6 hooks before kill, 8 hooks if possible.
I think there is much improvement in your gameplay if you don't tunnel people.Wiping 3v1 match on 4 gens isn't engaging.

”You are still failing to grasp why survivor is currently miserable, it has nothing to do with if you can win but how you must win in the current game”
Ok, well let’s focus on this then. You say it’s not an issue of how often you escape. What % of your matches do you think you escape? Let’s say you’re escaping at the average 40% of your matches. So in those matches where you’re escaping, you’re still miserable - why? If it’s tunneling/camping or some other objectionable killer strategy that you feel is the problem, but you’re still escaping, then I don’t understand what the issue is. Why does it matter how the killer plays if you still get out?
I think a lot of people consider winning as 3 man escaping, not specifically escaping themselves.
That's what I think of it.For example if I am getting mostly chased and I manage to loop long enough for 3 people to escape, that's amazing
I am getting what I want - chases and I am fulfilled.Arguably tunneling, slugging, camping is what people have problem with, which makes the experience miserable on the receiving end. They don't get to play the match fully.
I have high escape rate and there are some sitations that cahnge my mood immidiately - people DC, people give up, people griefing the matches.
For other people this might be killer that they don't like going against, perks, killer repetition, survivior nerfs, queue randoms, maps that might be not the greatest.
People actually struggle to get 30% escape rate, atleast that's what some people say. I don't believe that's fun for them.
Don't get me wrong - this go for both sides. Killers don't like survivior perks, behaviour (tbagging etc), maps, griefers, mmr etc.
I am aware of that. -

This a common trend here. People have been saying that "killer is easier than ever" but as far as i know, people who plays killer regularly aren't having an easy time against decent survivors, specially if they are playing lower tier killers. I wonder if this is something related to regions, time of the day or whatever it might be.
That's what I said, so I feel like you are talking about me.
I will not agree that survivior is easier role, because you must consider a lot of things - strong killer roster (every new killer is strong in my opinion, you might get teammates out of your skill level, people do give up or DC etc.I am from Europe, which is considered "the sweatiest" region.
In all those games "escaped icons" are the disconnects.
Only one person escaped me through the gate - Lara on the game.As you can see - I do not even play S/A tier killers.
Those are my past 30 day games.

I went against momo twice in less than two weeks during his nearly 2k Blight winstreak, both in soloq. It happens and it's not fun. Does not encourage one to play more, that's for sure.
I’m curious what killers you play and what your kill rate is.
This isn't directed at me but I'm going to respond anyway. I don't claim killer is easy per se, and it can be much more stressful, but it is getting more handholdy than survivor with these recent nerfs and the last couple killer releases. You can just equip the right perks and win on many killers. I can attribute a huge amount of my killer wins to perks and apparently that's fine for that role but not for the other. And just to be transparent, these are my recent numbers:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5H3455XCCESY/screenshot-20260917-015812.jpg
Killer is much easier lately and it was easiest it has ever been for a long time… but survivior perks are keep getting nerfed.
I am personally waiting for 2v8 to end and I am going from 50/50 player to killer main.
Survivior experience just doesn't feel right lately, especially on solo queue. -
I really don't enjoy new perk design where perks are put in a cooldown. (WOO, FMA)
That's the reason I am not using them at all.
-
I've stopped playing solo queue survivior because people DC or give up.
My friends stopped playing overall, so I don't have available swf teams.
Killer queue is too long (especially while 2v8).
Survivability for the surviviors has decreased.
Losing game at 4-5 gens didn't bring me joy.
Killer games became too easy.I am joining survivior queue only if some friends invite me to play, which doesn't happen much lately.
I am playing killer only if queue times is no longer than 1.5 minutes. I don't enjoy sitting in lobby. -

Alright folks, let's try and keep the "us vs. them" conflict to a minimum here. While it's an understandable product of asymmetrical gameplay that there will be opposing perspectives on buffs and nerfs, we value feedback from all angles and don't want anyone to feel like their POV isn't an important part of informing changes that are made to the game.
I've seen some great comments here about how the curve window feels now vs. 10.1.1 and will be sure to pass these along to the team, but please do keep sharing your experiences with the change here (both as Killer and Survivor). Tweaking numbers to find a sweet spot that feels fair for both sides can take time, so just know that we're following your feedback!
Most of the time it feels like you guys ask for feedback but survivior feedback doesn't matter that much.
Everything killers want to nerf is getting nerfed in the end.
Things surviviors hate are getting avoided.Just yesterday I had 4 games in a row that someone DCed at 5 gens within the first chase in solo queue.
That made me go on to another game.
Matches were against trickster, ghoul, judgement and jason.
That's not normal. The only reason I played surviviors was long killer queue time.
Solo queue is just so miserable right now.Surviviors are not having fun.

If you cannot attain a >60% escape rate in todays DBD w broken perks like Resurgence, Deli, STB on top of exhaustion + pallet density you are just bad at this video game, no ifs or buts.
I believe that's all time playtime.
You might be in low MMR bracket, where will swing and miss a lot.Post your killer stats perhaps, if you don't mind.
What will you say to those who can't go above 30% escape rate? That they should not be playing the game?
About the perks… the thing is that not everyone wants to play meta perks and if you don't equip them, you will suffer a lot.

You must be on Super Weenie Hut Jr-MMR. According to the best players in the world (Forum Killer Mains who play on special Servers with only good players), the game is heavily survivor-sided. And always the most survivor-sided it has ever been.
Poor 10k+ hours surviviors I went against… still on newbie mmr
-
yeah, it sucks to play killer… my killrate should've been higher!
Naah, killer is easiest it has ever been.
-
As owner of 22x p100, 10x p50 and almost every killer p20 and every survivior p11 - prestiges do not incentivise me to play.
They haven't for a long time.My friends keep me playing on survivior role.
Killer role is alright tho, fun most of the time.Tho because of the mmr reset it's just too easy.
Quests don't matter anymore, achievements are getting finished too quickly.
We definitely need something to be changed.
The only real reason to play is new content and live balance changes, which don't happen too often lately.

Luckily we'll be getting a pretty big perk shakeup in the midchapter, over 40 perk changes most of which will be either reworks or straight buffs, and a fair few of them finally addressing diminishing returns. They said the only (very, very few) nerfs are going to be for overperforming perks that ignore the intent of DR, and I'm going to be honest I can't think of a single one besides Resurgence that fits that description? Like, there really aren't a lot of options for that on either side, but they made it sound like theres going to be more than just the one, so I'm left a bit baffled honestly. Still, mostly buffs and reworks to underperforming perks, which is pretty nice. Big hopes for Empathic Connection specifically, what the perk does is very appealing but the numbers just aren't quite there.
Yeah, but that's not it.
We didnt get meta shake ups for more than 4 years now, that's the problem.
Also devs said they are not gonna be changing things anymore, at least not often.
What are we supposed to do if there is nothing new to try? People don't care about p100 grinds anymore. -

Bro, My kids got playing DBD years ago. Now they won't even touch it.
I've tried to get friends into it and they always try to stealth. I'm like nah bro, stealth isn't really a thing. The Killer probably knows where you are and then they quit.
Yeah, game changed a lot over the years.
Hiding used to be viable thing and the fun bringer actually, you would be so happy if killer was near you and your hiding spot worked out.
I don't blame your kids tho, because there is nothing to do in DBD but making prestiges, no ranked system or anything.
Different games offer you that - ranking systems actually give people reasons to grind.
I've got 22 p100 now and I don't care about getting more, that will just happen automatically. There is not much happening anymore aswell, because after krasue ptb devs decided not to change much anymore.
No perk shake ups, only new content every 3 months.Grimoire chapter might be the first one that I won't be purchasing for money, because it doesn't feel impactful or entertaining.
I just play different games more now - only about 40% of my gaming time is spent on DBD. -
Few reasons actually. It comes down to less survivior playing and more killers playing.
For me (reasons why I play survivor muuuuch less)
- Survivior is getting constantly nerfed because 1% swfs are better than killers
- Anti tunnel system scrapped, even tho it had amazing things for killer as basekit
- Flashbangs massively nerfed
- Pallets saves nerfed or bugged
- Only med-kits and toolboxes are viable
- You have to be efficient as a whole team to win the games, you can't mess around anymore
- very strong killers are being released, overtuned mostly
- Playing killer brings me more fun
- surviviors giving up or being in different skill level or just trolling
My friends also left dbd.
Our friend group went from 2-3 people waiting for a slot to be free to barely anyone playing.
They decided that dbd isn't fun or entertaining to them anymore. That's depressing if you ask me.I still love the game and not leaving any soon, don't get me wrong.
-
Lately I've been playing mostly wraith with 84% Kill-Rate, that's the build:
Tho I don't play much killer lately, because I don't like waiting 5 minutes for a game.
For survivior I mostly use DH + DS + Resilience + one perk I feel like using -

It's not that survivors are playing less but just more new killer players and ig some survivors started playing killer side, Jason is the reason for this.
Could be both.
My friend group barely plays dbd anymore, they invite me to different games.
I think this might be the case for other people too. -

Enjoy a full month of this because you know we'll get an extra week or two as always
With new killer being introduced in 2 weeks - yes, you will have longer queue times.
Especially when surviviors are playing less than they used to before. (killer queue times prove that)
-
I wish limit was increased atleast to 240fps.
-
You are still complaining with long killer queue?
Surviviors don't want to play and we still have a problem with devs helping them out?
That's getting ridiculous.
-
I don't enjoy them either.
That's why I don't play Lara - even tho I think she is amazing character look-wise.
I would like this to work separately on every character - I enjoy Rick's and Eleven's voicelines but I hate Lara's, Steve, Nancy.

- These pallets are only easy to play around if you have a chase power. If you're just an M1 killer like Trapper or Ghost Face, these pallets will be chained, and you'll be lucky if a gen doesn't pop by the time you get the down.
- I have no complaints on the anti-camp bar because it shot basement bubba in the head, but there are still Killers who benefit too much from the play style (especially Bubba who will just eat your unhook protections and there's nothing you can do about it without DS)
- Anti-tunnel's changes (mainly the 9.2 ones) even needing a public beta to test if it would be bad was a massive red flag, even more so was the all-or-nothing approach they had in both iterations. I stand by the fact that if both those PTBs were fused after removing the stuff people hated and refining the things everyone liked such as the unique hook incentives, these would have been incredibly healthy to the game. Instead, they serve as a shred scar between the players who sat through half a year with no new content testing changes they all hated, and the developers who wasted half a year's worth of resources making a large number of changes so drastic that I'm stunned it even made it past QA.
- As for those perks you mentioned, I will only disagree with the Pain Res nerf. This is similar to why the BP bonus from BBQ should not have been removed: it encouraged not tunneling someone. If the nerf simply made it apply only to unique hooks instead of a token system, it'd be healthier after some number adjustments.
- Gen kick limit was a harsher nerf to weaker killers than it was to stronger ones. In a war of attrition, the killer will always lose because they can't regress the gens as often as health states can be reset. If the limit was increased or gens took longer to repair, it'd likely not be an issue.
Lastly, not everything that happened to killer was justified. Saying that hints at tribalistic mentality which is the last thing we should be enabling.
- No, they are easy to play around even if you're playing m1 killer.
Trapper can trap harder pallets, ghostface can hide his red light.
If someone is chaining a pallet against you, that's on you. - If bubba is camping, surviviors are supposed to do gens, that's easy to play against it.
- You can't say that killer buffs should stay and survivior's help shouldn't… you can't be serious right now.
Why on earth would killers get basekit buffs if tunneling wouldn't be fixed? You're out of touch. - Pain res nerf was needed. Perk was giving too much value - that's what killers hate about surviviors perks. This works both ways.
- I almost never reach kicking limit and I win most of my games. You're doing something wrong.
-
Hard tunneling someone and winning 3v1 isn't really skillful, is it?
-

Ah yeah killers only get buffed and the evil evil survivors get only nerfs grrrr 😡
Let's ignore that in the last couple of years that the Pallet Density Update happened, Anti Camp Update happened, Anti Tunnel Update happened, the top perks like pop, pain resonance, eruption and so on got nerfed multiple times, generator kick regression changes, skull merchant getting a labotomy, knight rework that made him weaker, chucky nerfs, blight nerfs, diminishing returns and so on.
I know Survivors are entitled but man this forum is something else
Pallet density added pallets that are easy to play around.
Anti-FACEcamp update is what you mean. Killer can still proxy camp.
Also you shouldn't camp, you don't make pressure on the map if you do that. 2 people are on a gen and 3rd is hiding to make last second trade.Anti-tunnel was never on live servers.
POP was changed but is a great perk now.
Painres was giving too much value, eruption was miserable to go against.
Skull merchant and kicking limit was direct nerf because people would abuse her and 3gen tactic.
This made matches miserable for 4 surviviors.
Matches would take up to 60 minutes without real way to fight back.
Surviviors had to literally let killer kill them to go next.Knight had no counterplay, chucky was impossible to loop - hits were guaranteed, blight was too free and strong (good blights still win most of the games).
Everything that happened to killers was justified.

BTW - offtopic here: I was playing with you yday! I was Vee who StB you for deli against bubba :D
Unlucky basement there.Ah, that was you, haha. Sadly not my best game, at the start I did not want to sandbag you and ran into the Open and for some reason he left his chase and beelined towards me when I was healing quite far away from him after the Unhook. Could have clearly played that better.
Not a big deal to die, I was surprised that someone still plays Insidious Bubba in 2026, lol.
You being on hook for straight 140 seconds let us finish last 2 gens and escape, StB worked well after all :D
And that's what I was saying before - killer camping let's people do gens. Imidiate lose.

So you can use a tiny sample size but because night light only uses more people's accounts then one but not all accounts we cant use it?
Also im sorry why doesnt behavior show all the states at all times they have all this data they clearly dont know hot to read shown by not understand why the pigs map has the most slugging its noy rocket science i think we all know why.
All I am saying is that this information source isn't official and can be very different from the truth.
I also wish BHVR was more clear about stats.
Gideon meat plant is hard, because you need to break more strong pallets - we can all agree on that.
But slugging on this map isn't really necessary after they've changed how killer's body can block survivior prompt. -

I dont watch them regularly I watch mints video on killer anxiety but no clue who true truetalent is I mostly watch epidemi.
The reported things were just from a bad survey where it was just survivor problems with 0 killer problems. As well I did play before 6.10 I got into dbd because of ghost face.
And yes they demonize slugging calling it evil with the evil skill merchant. They also that same stream said people on avrage only stayed on the ground around 30 seconds so less then half a hook state yet the want to remove slugging as an option for killers. Because they have tried twice alteady I wont be surprised if they try it again.
And if survivors spend time learning how to play against the killers and not just dcing after first down we wouldnt have the DC epidemic still.
Also reporting problems when they have counterplay that just needs learned isnt a valid reason to nerf a killer sorry.
I've heard that they acted upon uninstall survey, which mostly were survivior complains - killers slugging, tunneling and camping.
I can't point out exact source tho, so take it with a grain of salt.
You see, that's why I know you watch content creators - they were mad and used words like "demonizing slugging with skull merchant". They were using those same exact words and arguments.
Yes, slugging is very bad. That's why knock out got reworked and coulrophobia is getting nerfs now.
This kind of gameplay is boring, unsatisfying and miserable. Especially on solo queue.
Slugging needs to be addressed. What they are doing is a good thing.Big killer mains said that pallets save was the problem that killers tended to slug (especially on gideon) and now that's not a problem anymore - killer's hitbox can succesfully block surviviors "drop pallet" prompt.
Only occasional slugging for pressure is fine. People were slugging intentionally to bleed people out and this gameplay needed to go.
People DC because it's unfun for them, they have every right to do so.
You can't force people to do what they don't want to do, that's just how world works.
We should be reviewing this issue from the different point - we need to look into why people are DCing.
If people will not have a reason to DC, they won't, it's that simple.
Not enjoying ghoul or jason is valid, DC against plague, doctor or clown is valid. -

The devs are objectively survivor biast with how they talk on stream using litteraly us vs them when talking about survivor and killer respectively. As well calling a blatant buff to the survivor role in pallet density a "quality of life" change. On top they demonize stratages they promote with how they make survivor perks activating on hook making slugging more viable sense you dont need to deal with most of the strongest perks in the game. As well money survivors just bring in more money sense they are the majority of the player base and all survivors are just skins at the end of the day.
No, they are not. Too many killers are untouched even tho surviviors report problems with them.
Pallet density isn't a problem for killers who actually know how to zone people.
Everything comes to killers experience and skill. If you spend more time in game you will be good killer.Did you play before 6.1.0?
They don't demonize strategies.
Those strategies were kept reported by players as problematic and unfun so they try to act upon this. You make the same points as people like truetalent, mintskull etc.
Do you watch them by any chance? -

Yet on nightlight no killer even breaks 60% which is the stated goal of the devs. Just because your doing okay doesnt mean the role as a whole is doing okay. Alot of wins come from dcing survivors as well as altruistic survivors making dumb plays to save a teammate who could have stayed on the ground for 20 more seconds or on the hook for 6p second before saving them.
Nightlight isn't official.

Bit of positivity, they may see some love. They are not best but any alternative mechanic that refreshes the game is hugely welcomed. And by the end only those who find it attractive will pick it.
Only if those perks give a good value.
Fact is that if survivior perks are giving good enough value they are doom posted and get nerfed because of it.

I said killer players tend to highest possible win rate so do survivors. One thing is what you aim for and second is the reality. Surely game is defienetly survivor sided. I played a lot of asym games, but DBD is only game offering tools to fight mechanics such as camping, tunneling and slugging and people are still complaining eventhough they have those options. You hate tunnel, you pop on off the record or ds. You hate slugging, you pop on unbreakable, we gonan live forever, made for this, you hate camping, you pop on reassurance, camaraderie. There are options on killer side too. You hate sprint, you pop on laguid touch, you hate genrush you pop on slowdowns, you want jumpscares, you pop on stealth perks… I'm not defending either side from toxicity, as I said earlier this event was one of the most miserable time playing survivor I've ever had in this game but on the other side no one can deny that it's up to survivors how the game will go. As long as you spread on gens and do them when out of chase, even if someone is hard tunneled you shouldve have at least 2 out and most my survivor loses are to bad teammates as someone said, a lot of kill rate is killer killing someone as "weak link" which leadss into 3v1 scenario which is mostly a guaranteed loss. If the survivor vaults into you and get hit then greed pallet and get hit or go for meme youtube techs that don't work is it killer being too good or surivors throwing the game? Honestly a hot take, people picking hex jason or 4 stacked slowdown ghoul and call themselves exceptional players. I get that there are cheap stuffs on both sides but please don't tell me that the game is anything from balanced to killer-sided. PS: I was big supporter of antitunnel Krasue midchapter they announced and was dissapointed by the scapping it, because it offered incentives as well as protections.
Because those tactics are not intended from the dev team! That's why they give surviviors tools for that!
If killers are mindlessly doing those things they will always lose the game.If you are camping the hook you will have 2 people on a gen at all time and one going for the last second trade! It's that simple!
It's missplay from the killer! That's how you lose the generatiors and game because you can't keep up with the pace after. You basically understand that for everything other side has there are perks to fight it back, I like that.
I like that you were in favor of the anti systems.
You are being reasonable enough.I do agree that game on the highest level is survivior sided… but this is minority of survivior lobbies.
There is much more solo queue teams that we are going against.
They have much more miserable experience then killers who go against good team in 1 of 100 or even 1000 games. -

I hope we will receive old perks reworked as scourges, boons, invocations, compromised gens or something. Please.
I hope not.
Compromissed gen perks are bad design. You can get value once in a game if surviviors play around it.
Boons are time wasters, zone limited and don't give enough value.
Invocation is also terrible design, because you need to go find the basement, do the invocation for 1 minute and you will be broken for entire game. Again, value isn't good enough.
Boons and Invocations help killers too much, because they are time wasters.

Hard to say. I consider myself being decent killer player, having 100 % kill rate on killers like Knight or Skull Merchant during event but only 82 % on Jason. I'd say that as both side player I can't give pleasing answer to either side. Guess both sides want to win all their matches, but with such a difference between killers the kill rate will never be valid to pick as balancing aspect. I believe that against truly skilled 4-man the killer has nothing to compete while against uncoordinated solo q the killer will dominate, even the weaker ones. As a killer player I'd say that I want to have 3k every game, meaning 75 % total kill rate, which kinda suits atm even with my mercy and competing for hatch nature. On survivor I don't mind dying as long as I have fun, which I didn't really have against same few killers with iri add ons, stacked slowdown and tunneling. I'm kinda chill and run off meta so I purely rely on luck heh. My most used build latey - survivor (extrasensory perception, open handed, lend a hand and 5 moves ahead) - killer (turn back the clock, genetic limits, jagged compass, floods of rage)
I don't believe we go against skilled 4-man swfs that often.
Chance to go against full comp squad without a weak link is so low, that this doesn't matter. The problem is that those people are taking this too personally, going into ego trip - because how is it possible that they lost a match in DBD, right?
75% is way more from the design that developers are aiming for and you still want surviviors nerfs. That's very unrealistic and selfish.
I see killers cry about deliverance, stb, DS, DH all the time. But this could be easily prevented if you don't tunnel, DH is easy to wait out and bait, deli is whatever.
If you feel like survivior is running deliverance, leave him be. He doesn't need to be hooked.I went against multiple StB yday and it has been used once against me and I still got 4k out of that game.
I can't defend killer side, it's diffucult if I don't face any problems with those matches.I will get people to 4-man escape me from time to time and that's fine!
Take lessons from the game, think of what you could do better, try to improve. -

Well, you must be extremely low MMR /s
You know, the Killer Mains on the Forum here, they are on Gigachad-MMR. They are on a special Server with ONLY insane Survivors. Look, even Content Creators like Otz and Hens, who win almost all their games get Survivors way below their Skill Level. But they are not on that special Server, nono.
Yeah, I wish I was better so I could go against good surviviors.
Poor megs and mikaelas I go against are probably newbies.
BTW - offtopic here: I was playing with you yday! I was Vee who StB you for deli against bubba :D
Unlucky basement there. -

The game isbalanced around casual players. I have killrate 75 % total but that doesn't mean that the game is killer sided. Just that you know how the game works and have experiences to predict in chase.
Balance we are going to is gonna increase everyone's killrate.
I don't want 85-90% killrate. This would make no sense and I would not have incentive to play.
I don't agree with making wins free and boring.
I have no idea how can someone still want killer general buffs and surviviors general nerfs with 75% winrate, I really don't know.
If there will be no place for improvement, what is the point of playing PvP game?
That's something people don't really understand - you are getting better with experience and you can't expect winning all the games when you have let's say 100, 200, 500 hours in game so complicated and developed.Killer queue is never instant anymore, it's been like that for months. There is less and less surviviors wanting to play the game!
Without surviviors there will be no game for you to enjoy.Killer is easiest it has ever been. Those who didn't play before 6.1.0 will never understand it unfortunetely.

The game is 100 % survivor sided. Cmon, you get down which on some killers might not be so easy and now you can lose all that to flashlight or sabo toolbox, resetting all your works. I do agree tha killer gameplay is more entertaining because you are all in action rather than sitting motionless wathich progress bar. Surely a lot of things got nerfed because of killers but so did on killer side because of survivors - in longer term 5 blinks nurse, ebony mori, gen grabbing spirit, Chucky, Blight, Vecna 2, Hillbilly, Spirit, Wesker and for perks? Eruption, Call of brine, pain res, pop, ruin, corrupt, ultimate weapon, save the best for last, and so much more. So none side should complain about being privileged. On survivor side decisive strike, object of obsession, hatch, adrenaline off hook, maps, instaheals, medkits, keys, maps… but again it were nerfs on both sides, although either side refuse to see it. Glad I play both sides because I can see the issues without being blind-folded.
Yeah, game is totally survivor sided right now. Every escape that page shows is a DC. No one escaped me.
My poor opponenst didn't know that.
I am getting merciless after merciless after merciless. You can't make this up.
I can't defend statement that game is survivior sided if stats are like this. This is ridiculous.
Killer is easiest it has ever been and that's the fact. Everyone that is struggling to get 60% winrate is doing something wrong.

It's hard to take a post that defends original Dead Hard one of the most obviously unhealthy perks the game of all time seriously. Not to mention completely ignoring the fact that plenty of killer perks have also been nerfed Undying, Ruin, NOED, Call of Brine, Pop, STBFL, Ultimate Weapon, etc so acting like only one side gets what it wants is revisionist history.
Old ruin was very unhealthy.
NOED needed the changes.
Call of brine is thing of the past - this perk synergized with too much things, which creater 1-hour long matches.
POP got it's glory back.
I didnt enjoy stbfl changes, so I will never justify it.
Ultimate weapon was also terrible to go against, synergy with old dead man switch was just too strong. Both sides had great perks, but killers always had better ones.
Dead hard in my experience wasn't that bad. Surviviors had way worse things available. -

I think vol4r is literally just ragebaiting at this point, I wouldn't bother replying to them. 12,000 hours but claims to get consistent 4k's on Pig using a perk that hasn't synergized with their kit for over 2 years now, and another perk that literally exists just to kick pallets like .3 seconds faster. They downvote me because I speak the truth.
Yes, content creators tend to be negative because they play the game so much and this game for some reason just makes people eventually see the worst in each other. And yes, vol4r is 100% correct, the game is all about having fun. Its a video game after all.
But you know what, I have to agree with the CC's on this one, I don't think I find having such a surplus of pallets fun for either side. I want to feel rewarded for winning a chase as survivor, it feels cheap dropping so many pallets and seeing so many killers on the roster almost helpless to do anything. And I want to feel rewarded for zoning properly as killer. I shouldn't mindgame and play a pallet perfectly, force the survivor into a losing situation, just for them to break line-of-sight for 1 second and suddenly be at an equally or sometimes even more powerful tile/pallet like 10 meters away.
Is it really so controversial to say I want better map design, balanced for both sides to have at most a 60/40 or 40/60 fighting chance? Right now a lot of maps can get as bad as 20/80 depending on RNG and which killer is being played. Which maybe no one would believe me until they've played as or against a Trapper on RPD with all potential pallet spawns up, lol
Wait, you might be rage baiting honestly.
I don't need stbfl not to lose stacks on m2 to get good value out of this.
I use brutal for the zoning and quicker break on harder pallets. How you are gonna feel rewarded for chasing a survivior who doesn't have any resources to work with?
We are playing different game apparently.

M1 killers are indeed that bad. Play against any competent players and you will be dog walked. Theres a point where a killers kit is so fundamentally weak (like pig) that even if you're the best player in the world on them you are going to struggle a LOT to keep up with any efficient survivors especially in current pallet density when there's another pallet 10 meters away. Getting semi-consistent 4k's as pig is just a tell of what kind of survivors you go against let alone one running STBFL as their best perk.
They are not if player plays well.

Go watch people play 1v1’s on YouTube. Good players can literally take you on a 5 minute pallet tour without getting hit once. Killer powers have counters and only survivors who are wholly unaware or massively misplay will get hit rotating between loops on most maps now. The average player is plenty capable of a 1 to 2 minute chase by themselves with this pallet density. I know this because I AM that average player, and I’ve done it. Claiming I’m making things up when virtually every YouTuber who plays killer in this game has agreed that the pallet spawns are messed up is an interesting rebuttal.
We’ve been living with these changes for almost a year now. Here, watch Scott bring up the fundamental problem on basically launch day of the pallet density update
I won't be wasting my time on dbd content creators that are not fun to watch.
I hate dbd rants, us vs them videos etc.Brother, I've got 12 000 hours on this game, there will be nothing I didn't see.
You can't chain 5 pallets into infinite loops against decent killer.
It only works if killer doesnt understand zoning.Don't get brainwashed from watching those YouTube content creators, they are really destroyers of fun.
You are supposed to have fun from a video game.
Watching them puts people in a weird power or ego trips. -

The whole point of bloodlust (if you go back to when it was added in ye' olden days) was added to prevent infinites, where the killer could never catch the survivor vaulting between multiple windows. Well, if you have enough pallets in one spot, you can basically create an infinite where the killer has to either spend half a minute staring at pallet-break animation, usually losing one or two gens in the progress (3 if its the start of the game). Or, you have to be playing a killer that maybe could outplay or mind game the survivor as they juggle between those say, 5 different pallets. But that's only certain ranged or mobility killers, depending on the exact type of loop (tall vs short, long vs wide, etc.)
Problem is 90% of killers I face lose in those situations because they try to play one pallet for too long, get bloodlust, then have to lose it breaking a strong pallet. Chaining loops used to be something difficult, took a ridiculous amount of skill. Nowadays, its far, far easier. With ridiculously lopsided map RNG? Modern infinites, basically. As long as the killer isn't a character like Bubba, Myers, or Singularity, who can just plow through all of the pallets in an area as quickly as possible (so like, 80% of the killer roster) then any decent survivor can have a 3 minute chase in those overcrowded tiles.
Map balance will always be this game's key issue, I'd say an underlying issue given that people tend to overlook it and focus entirely on the killers themselves.
You cannot make few pallets into infinite loop, especially with bloodlust.
It's just not possible to run from pallet to pallet and never get a hit.Minute long break? That's not 2016 anymore.
Pallet breaking was buffed twice in history and is now good enough.
You also have perks and addons that shorten the breaking time significally. You have tools, you just don't use them. You are just making things up.

Survivor changes would like to see are:
- Commodious Toolbox Nerfed
- Lithe Nerfed
- Windows of Opportunity Reworked/Nerfed
- Low % Pick Rate Perks Buffed (there's a lot)
- Add-on/Offering Reworks/Removal to Reduce Clutter
- Flashlight Settings (Sensitivity Setting/Dark Mode)
- Killer Hitbox no longer blocks pallet from being dropped for pallet saves and in general
- Map Collision Fixed - I keep getting stuck on either nothing or the tiniest bit of map (since previous patch)
- Blinding Killer outside of FOV reverted
- Removing Hag traps with Flashlights, Uncloaking Wraith with Flashlights, Removing Artists crows with Flashlights brought back
Killer changes I would like to see are:
- Unemployed Build Nerfed (Thrill of the Hunt - either nerf numbers or make totem progress permanent when thrill is selected.)
- Jason Nerfed - No more killer instinct (scream when jump scare is fine) No more red stain on survivors in Omnipresent Evil. Timer on Omnipresent Evil. Longer Reload. Slower Speed in Omnipresent Evil.
- The First Nerfed - Smaller radius for Vine Attack. Shorter Range. Less time on clocks. Require an extra stack to mori.
- Nurse Blindness Status Effect when Blinking
- Ghoul Nerf - Can no longer latch onto survivors without leaping from environment beforehand.
- Low % Pick Rate Perks Buffed (there is a lot again)
- Auto Aim Toggle
- Controller Deadzone Settings/More settings for controller overall
- Ghost Face buffs on exposing a survivor (faster pallet break, built in bamboozle when chasing exposed survivor etc.)
- Chucky Scamper brought pack with maximum 1 Scamper Token System that goes on cooldown for 20(?) seconds.
That's a few of my wishlist changes I hope to see one day.
I will make my own list too! I will "steal" some ideas because I like them.
Survivor:
- Pallet saves reverted - no more blocking. That was bad idea, pallet saves were required to have perfect timings.
- Addon and offerings decluttered
- Map addons retire
- Perks buffs - a lot of perks need to be buffed so we would not need to run the meta
- a way for solo surviviors to comunicate - "info circle" that you can press and send message like "im unhooking"
- flashbangs revert
- "ping" hits being taken care of - ping should give killers free behind pallet hits.
Killer:
- HEX builds nerfed. Full hex build is a problem, especially on some killers. We could see that with jason streaks
- Nurse blindness when blinking
- Perk buffs - unbound, batteries nerfs were bad idea in my opinion
- Low pick-rate killers buffs. Not as extreme as hag 4.6 tho
In general I wish we could have some fresh air, meta shake up and other perks to be useful, not only meta perks.

I know I said "you" but I meant that in general. And the reversal of "if pallet density doesn't allow you to kill survivors, thats a skill issue" just doesn't work for the majority of the roster in the game. A lot of killers COULD play around with less pallets as survivors would actually have to conserve resources more carefully or else that killer would become really strong in that part of the map. But now that there's one every few feet (Literally saw 8 all within a 30-meter width of disturbed ward) they become SIGNIFICANTLY weaker and that's no debate to oppose.
Also where's the stats that killers win more than 60% of their matches? BHVR has only ever given out kill rates (last stats were several months ago) which kill rate does not equal win rate. They may meet a 60% KILL goal but its not the same as a win. That's their goal. I assume that's the data if killers don't get big changes lately.
I did play as a pig last night on disturbed ward with stbfl, brutal, bamboozle and forever entwined, without dash addons - 4k2.
I don't know man, when you stop breaking pallets all the time and start properly mindgaming people you get good result, what else can I say?
I did play 2 matches on pig yday and both matches ended up being 4k… m1 killers are not that bad if you can play smartly. -

All the other "meta shakeups" worked out so well.
Shakeups definitely gave us some fresh air, new things to try, new builds to play.
