They can’t remove that because there will be times people have to disconnect for genuine reasons.

    Yes, for example iri head

I said "looking weak" I didnt say he IS weak. I was making an observation not stating absolute fact.

You were giving an opinion, same as all of us. If someone think the killer has no counterplay he can say it. Yes, I know this is a killer forum and very few people will give a good comment about it

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Can we wait for the killer to actually get here before we start saying he has zero counter play? People say that about every killer on the PTB.

“the trickster is looking weak.” <- this comment is yours this morning. It’s ok say this killer is weak but we must wait until ptb is finished before saying it has no counterplay?

Idk if anybody has felt this way. But to put it plainly, some killers are way overpowered lately. Especially the ones who are so suited and already naturally overpowered in conjunction with camping and tunneling. The last few days have been absolutely ridiculous. Anyone have any thoughts?

As both survivor and killer mains I agree with that idea. Gens are fast and a good organized team with toolboxes can finish them quite easily.

I had a game where 4 gens finished under 2 and half min due to all toolboxes and it's add-ons. As a killer sometimes tunneling and camping became a strategy when that happens. The main problem is only goal of survivors are doing gens and only goal of the killer is to kill.

There should be an extra mission such as find X part for the generator so that the game can be longer. I even write a new idea for modifying the gen speeds where first 1-2 gens should be longer but the last gen shold be finish easier.

If you make matches longer, there were no reason not to camper the first hook.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You can't really fix camping or tunneling without it being exploitable for the survivors, or being useless for the killer (sometimes you gotta tunnel/camp) I'm afraid. But I agree that being chased for long should give way more points in some way. I remember a match I had where someone looped a spirit for 5 gens and ended the match with like 12 000 points, that was depressing to see

Yes, you can, because now is exploitable for killers

  • Because it’s the best perk in the entire game. Remove b&c and 90% of red rank killers won’t kill more than 1 surv

I don’t mean to be aggressive. Sure, I’m wrong about the meta perks, but I have seen many people complaining about NOED whilst they bring all meta perks. So it’s hard to not assume it.

But my point still stands. NOED is the last reason for survivors to cleanses dull totem. Without it, no one will touch them, and they’ll fail their job as second objectives.

Thats why I think NOED should to be basekit, but add a totem counter. So as survivors you can decide to take risk of one shot or spend more time off gens to get rid of it.

Do know facecampers always use noed, don’t you? You want more campers in the game? Because if killers have noed at base kit you wont have time to do gens and find and cleanse totems against trash camper

  • @CheesyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1985485#Comment_1985485

Well this might be true. But most of the time the killer needs to put pressure at the beginning and at least earn 1-2 hooks at before 3 gen left. Like I said my idea is raw numbers and it might needed to be tested.

You can’t reduce the gen speed with a killer rate of 65% and nerfing ds, with tons of camping and tunnel killers, that’s all.

  • @ukenicky said:

Okay but for real though, even with the upcoming DS nerf, OoO rework (If that goes through) and the key rework whenever that happens, I have seen killers around here asking for all kinds of other nerfs on survivors it's honestly a little ridiculous.

    Some examples:

    Dead hard

    Sprint burst

    Exhaustion in general

    Unbreakable

    Borrowed Time

    Gen repair time (Slow down)

    Gen regression time (Increase)

Also I've seen some killers unhappy with the fact that the upcoming DS nerf doesn't deactivate it upon entering a locker lol like give me a break.

I know that for the most part both sides want everything their way but my god the killers around here lately just want survivors to be helpless and guaranteed to be camped / tunneled out early it's kind of sad to see.

I will be very happy when Freddy and iridescent head gets reworked / nerfed but idk. I hardly even play the game anymore since everyone is hateful and rly gross.

med kits, gen tap, egc, hatch, clothes, ...

  • @dezzmont said:

NOED is neither strong, nor unfair.

NOED actually adds a LOT to the game. See, DBD, and most games, are games about tension. If one side gets out to a huge lead, or somehow has victory basically already secure, it gets BORING.

Take Mario Kart, a classic example of a 'unfun' mechanic actually making the game way better. The blue shell fixes a problem with the game: When your way out ahead of everyone nothing is happening and the game is boring. The blue shell punishes going out way ahead and makes it unlikely that you get a dramatic breakaway. Despite getting hit by the blue shell sucking and feeling REALLY bad, what it gives to the overall experience is good.

NOED is a problem, not in that its unfair, or too good, or toxic, but in that it doesn't actually accomplish ENOUGH. NOED is meant to make it so survivors can't act with total impunity when the exit gates are powered, make the end game a raising of the stakes where every individual survivor could escape but now late rescues are extremely dangerous. It utterly fails at this outside 'final boss' builds (Ex: Remember me, blood warden, NOED). But it, at the very least, makes it so the endgame isn't a boring bully fest where the survivors just walk over the killer.

Some of NOED, and I say this without a trace of irony, should be base kit. You should, once the gates are powered, REALLY just want to leave, really agonize over every choice to stay. You should be dramatically encouraged to end the game, rather than drag it out. NOED does a bad job at this because you still basically are forced to camp the hook of whoever you downed so it just kinda gets one more kill. End game hooks probably are what actually should be re-evaluated so that more legitimate interaction can happen.

But all these complaints about NOED really strike me as not survivors caring that its 'unfair' so much as survivors whining they can't get basically a guaranteed endgame rescue by bodyblocking the hook and that going down when the killer has literally nothing to lose is REALLY BAD. The killer... kinda desperately needs MORE end game power, not less, because the endgame... kinda sucks and is entirely one sided right now.

Well, keys add tension too, so they’re totally ok

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

    Here's Objective:

The perk does nothing except to endanger one-shotting survivors already in the Healthy State, that get found, and hit, and don't make it to the hatch.

    Situations where NOED does nothing:

    • Against already injured people.
    • Games that end before gens are completed.
    • Games where you don't reach any survivors before the gates

NOED hate is from bad players that can't avoid the Killer at end game, especially those that rely on Adrenaline as a "crutch".

Do you know noed increase the killer velocity, don’t you?

  • If you increase the time for a gen to get done killers would always facecamper the first hook

Basically don't get your hopes up for anything other than another waste of money if you don't like being a mental chewtoy for a toxic swf gang.

Yes, if viable is 3k 99% of games against swf with 5000 hours and easy 4k against solos

  • @Mandy said:

Most killer mains that I know are happy with the proposed change to Decisive, I think it's also going to be much healthier for the game and definitely a lot less abusable than it is now.

Ds would be an anti tunnel perk if the stun time was 10secs. With this change it would be another trash perk, and you won’t see it in many games.

'Cuse you? I'm a Comp killer, this game is 100% Survivor sided and it shows. Equip ds on ONE survivor and you try to tunnel a good surv off hook, get ds'd and run to a safe pallet loop, Costing you a whole game, i stream this game JUST bout Everyday with 5k+ hours to my name. i don't wanna hear that My guy.

how many times you 3-4k? Let me guess, 90% of matches, but only because survs at red rank are potatoes. Probably, but killers at red ranks are also potatoes. Remove b&c from the game and 90 % of red rank killers won’t kill more than 1 survs

  • let survs see her every 5secs when she is 5m from you. Numbers can be changed

  • @Dingo88 said:

Why is this game so full of salty idiots that take it way to seriouse.

To those salty people just remember (((IT'S A GAME)))

Just say gg or nothing at all.

Yes, because a survivor can find a match after 10 min and then a killer can camper him and end of game. Or he can tunnel him out of the game or he can slug him for 4 min waiting for another 10 min to find a match. And the surv must write gg at the end

  • Reduce camping and tunneling. End of the problem

  • Killers always say you find a lot of trash survs in red ranks, but if you remove camping and tunnelling you would see tons of killers that don't know how to kill a surv without these 'strategies' in red ranks.

  • @PeaceNGrease said:

You know what I love about these threads? Someone will always say playing the game is easy, then immediately contradict themselves by complaining that something not being in their favor will instantly make it not so.

Like if you're a good survivor, you aren't going to get tunneled out in 30 seconds (at least not nearly enough for it to be something to complain about.)

After all, if survivor is so easy you don't need a handicap of a perk, why are you upset about DS?

And if killer is so easy, why are the que times horrible for survivors at a specific time? Is it because all the good killers go to bed at 6:00? How are so many people even aware that this is a thing if they are playing killer at those times? I mean, it's not like THEY also want to play the less stressful role at night, before they go to bed....?

It can't be that.... Survivor is an inherently more casual, passive role in the game overall, right?

Queu times are bad because people have friends and want to play with their friends. And yes, killer is easy as hell against solos

Again, it's not the killer's responsibility to ensure that the survivors have fun. In fact, their responsibility is the opposite: kill the survivors as quickly as possible with a few gens done as possible. Hook them and take their items. That's it.

You wont see this kind of people playing surv. And better for you if you don’t see them in real life

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

I'm pretty sure that Ive made a post about this already, but recently Ive been seeing a lot more medkits. Probably because of how absurdly good they are and how they pretty much destroys a killers split pressure.

Having 2 or more medkits means that any chance of preventing a heal is gone and gens will go by faster due to the mass reduced healing time and increased chase times. Now that's their purpose, which isn't an issue, but to the extent they do it too is an issue.

To sum it up, they do their job too well and makes it hard if not impossible to get good pressure on a map against people who just rapidly heal. Splitting heals across multiple survivors isn't possible when the entire team can be fully healed in something like 30 seconds flat.

(Also get the "hurr durr killer main complaining" speech out)

Survs use medkits because toolboxes are trash with the nerf. If you nerf medkits survs will use flashlights and get better with them. And then we see you here complaining and asking for a nerf again

'So many options for Gen regression and defense'

    Pop. Ruin. Corrupt,

Pop gets 25% on 1 gen AFTER a hook, on poor killers that takes less time than it takes to GET the hook. Meanwhile? 3 people are on gens. Pop is not good UNLESS you're running an anti loop killer that can down quickly. Corrupt is mostly for setup killers yet is suddenly necessary to not have games go so fast. Ruin? not anywhere near as good as it was, you need to actively pressure gens which is at best '2' people while 2 others pop another gen in ~47s yet you go chase one and 'oh' a glowy totem infront of this gen guess i'll just break that because only the highest % of killers can down survs in 15~ if they don't make mistakes.

Yes, pop is so bad. It’s only can go gens back 220secs. Killers need at least 10-15 min regression

  • Freddy is easy as hell and he needs a nerf. Not only make plying him hardly. This only affect newer killer. A 1.000 hours Freddy doesn’t deserve 4k every game

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It used to be harder to deal with because lockers didn't block auras. Since that change to lockers, though, I've had no problem with it. It's a good perk but it's also straightforward to counter.

B&c is the best perk in this game, including survivors perks. the killer rate would be reduced so much if you nerf it.

  • I won’t use it with the ultra nerf. Imagine if you can’t hit someone with pgtw or you lose it.

If there’s no obsession in a game then ######### in first hook and go for a better match

  • @SilentPill said:

Anybody who complains about camping / tunneling / slugging needs to go play like 10-20 perkless and addonless clown games at red ranks.

Get back to me when you actually win those games playing by the survivor rule book.

Yes, because I face like 90% of games killers without perks and addons. They're so difficult to gain.

They also need to buff SWF. Anybody who complaints about SWF need to play like 10-20 games survs games without earphones at red ranks.

  • @DFP said:

We don't all do that, in fact I'm very vocally against the poor sportsmanship and harrassment we see from players so often.

Please try not to generalize and lump everyone into a single category, Killer or Survivor, doesn't make a difference when it comes to this kind of behavior, it's the player behind that role and character that's choosing to say and do these hurtful things for their own selfish enjoyment.

Sorry, but this is not true. Killers can ruin the game, but survs only can tbag you. Do you think this is the same behaviour?

  • @PodgeNotRodge said:

I mean, my first game I'm Freddy. From the start she's teabagging after I bring a Bloody Party Streamers. Because they messed up his dream realm so even at point blank, Object can see you. I couldnt mind game a single loop so I had to just leave her alone the whole game. It was only when she was healing others I got a hit but she just ran to every loop I'd need Bloodlust to have a hope of just out running her. Between that and when I'm chasing someone else, she just stayed in dream realm and triggered all my puddles and teabagged as I looked to see where they were. I got two kills against all reds and purples when I'm 17. Only because Object was a two man team and the other two played more like 15's rather than reds.

Second game I was a Deathslinger and you know how he really needs the stealth to sneak up and chain people. Well because Object is tied to giving visual while outside the terror radius, I couldnt do that. Every time I tried she ran off so I knew I'd never catch her. Then she would always just go back to the gen and work on it in front of me or while I was chasing someone around it. (Again just teabagging with it) I only managed to get her once all game, again only cause she was healing another and I had 8 stacks of PWYF.

I know this is a complaint but damn they really need to rework this perk. Make it that you have to be outside a distance of the killer, not just outside a terror radius. Cause imagine you're a Tier 2 Vanity Mike with M&A and they can see you through walls past 6 metres. Youd never get anyone.

So OoO ruined your day because you only could 2k with freddy in rank 17 against reds and purples survs?. Imagine playing solo and get 0 escapes in 10 games against a semi good freddy. But for so many killers this is not a problem, of course.

  • The game now is: overpowered killers that have instadowns, so many helps in chases, bloodlust, hundred of perks to find survs. If a mach last much is 4k for every killer, so survs only can gen rush to try to escape.

This way in a year a mach will last 5 min and would be so boring.

    1. Pay to win freddy
    2. Undying+hr
    3. Campers and tunnelers
  • @Steah said:

Isn't the survivor rule book just a way for survivors to try and shame killers to make the game even easier for them?

Steah, with undying, ruin, tinkerer and B&C the game for killers is easy as hell against solos. My cat can 3k/4k every game without earphones. At least let us have fun.

This doesn't take into account that there can be 4 DS's in a match and the time it takes to regain the lost momentum.

Yes, but killers perks are better by far:

pgtw. Up to 220 secs gen regression

tinkerer. 24secs to go to a gen to stop it and Without sounds

    undying+hr: no comments

ds: 4 secs stun 1 time perk per match and with a skill check

ub: fast recovery but only 1 time you can heal yourself

Well we already saw what would happen if the devs would introduce a secondary objective with ruin undying and survivors complained until it stopped existing so my guess is secondary objectives won't work in this game. Maybe alternative objectives are the better idea

Killer rate is 65-75%. Second objective only make this bigger, that's the problem. We want more objectives, but you would need to nerf killers.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

Giving survivors their own ability could easily upset the balance of DbD. And I don't trust the devs to do it right.

It's fine you can make a play for the hatch.

Most of the time when there's only two survivors left you are going to die anyway without the hatch. The only time you have a chance of winning with just two survivors left is if there's only one gen left, one survivor is already working on it and the killer gets looped by the other. Tinkerer doesn't change this much other skew it a bit more in favor of the killer a bit by letting know when to drop a chase and defend the gen if so inclined.

If there's two survivors left and two or more gens left I generally accept that I'm going to die, unless I fished a key earlier in the match. You're basically dead, unless the killer is totally incompetent (but he wouldn't be if he got two kills). It's okay the killer outplayed you that match accept your loss and move on.

So you think having a perk that allow you to win the game when you kill 2 survs is ok? When undying get nerfed tinkerer will be the new meta perk, you'll see it.

  • @BioX said:

OP is hilarious but probably just new to the game, sad they already start making swooping statements so early on

    Yes, only 4.000 hours.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Without Ruin or Pop active Tinkerer basically tells you a gen is about to go, nothing else. On killers without mobility it's worthless and it's hard countered by Spine Chill and OoO.

"Imagine a perk for survs that show the aura of the killer if he moves in the direction of the surv 24 secs before he arrives". That's OoO for you, killers have been dealing with it for almost 4 years now.

24 secs isn't about to go. You can hook someone, take a beer and you have time to go to gen before it's done. And with resilence is 18 secs. anyway. It's a death penalty if only 2 survs are in the game

200 IQ build: Resilience and Spine Chill to outspeed the Tinkerer killer

    I'm gonna try this out

But you won't finish the gen in a life

  • @Mandy said:

I really don't see too much problem with Tinkerer, you pretty much know when the killer is running it after the first gen so you're easily prepared for it and aware of it. Yes it's strong and I always expect high mobility killers in particular to be running it - but you can see them coming, it's about positioning and map awareness for the most part.

I've been running Reslience whilst playing this morning and that's beaten Tinkerer each and every time as I've got the gen finished before the killer has got to me. So there are counters.

Yes the killer is going to find you most likely and a good chase is going to happen, but I like chases that's the fun part of DbD.

Mandy, with 2 survs only remaining in the game and tinkerer you can't finish a gen. Don't you think this is a problem?

  • @Altarf said:

Tinkerer is completely fine. It's an (essentially) new actually strong killer perk which lord knows are few and far between with the recent updates. Seriously, it's been Undying and Tinkerer, very little else. Tinkerer relies on the killer being in a position to intercept the generator in time, meaning they have to drop any chase or anything they're currently doing. Once you realise Tinkerer is active it's extremely predictable, it can be countered by toolboxes, multiple survivors working on the same gen, survivors working on multiple gens at once, having eyes, etc.

It's only a "problem" when paired with Ruin + Undying, and obviously that's going soon. Discordance sounds overpowered on paper as well, but is it? No. Same with Power Struggle and Soul Guard.

Good perks don't need a nerf just because they're good.

With 24 secs you don't need to be near the gen

  • @TrevorLahey93 said:

Hell yeah brother. Wish more killers were toxic to survivors. I recommend slugging and letting them bleed out its really funny.

And if they are the last one in the game, the perk deactivates.

Then if you hook a surv at the egc you can’t be 10m from the hook. Or ds is bad at egc but facecamp to have a kill is totally ok?

1 … 6 7 8 9 10 … 16
