I'm actually a bit worried about WOO to be honest... In some maps against some killers it will mean running the killer forever. I thought it was already a good perk as it was, maybe reduce the cooldown but remove it entirely seems overkill to me.
-
######### Video Tape addon will not see light in live. This is an incredible slowdown and a lot of people will cry a lot that they can't go rush into m1 gens. And from the description it doesn't seem that it uses your inventory traps.
On another note it seems like they replaced an ambush addon wich makes me think that they will buff her base kit.
-
Keys will be kinda useless now, the only thing they have going on is the wallhack addon. I think they are not done they will rework them some way I bet. I'm happy for the change so tired of having to 4 man slug against keys.
-
They said they won't introduce the kicking dust on Spirit, at least for now.
-
Unrelated but it's a bit weird they announce it and don't wait to implement it in the live version. I'm worried I'll see all keys in my matches the next few days until the patch. At least that was the justification on mori nerf.
-
I mean i wish boontotems are nerfed into oblibion because apparently they can keep reblessing them. So they must be mediocre perks or they will be incredibly op.
-
It is ######### excessive. I already think it's a great perk and usually run it to extend chases. Now you can run the killer the whole match with this perk if he finds you first.
-
Oh yeah great change, nerf a killer with no map pressure that the only thing he has is chasing power. Survivors want counterplay but allways forget about killer having counterplay against survivors.

I hadn't even thought about it, did I mention my second favorite build of the same line is self-care, botany knowledge, built to last, and desperate measures or resilence. Then pair that with a green medkit that goes super fast and lasts ages, super fun builds that also is pretty much not used ever. (I can't remember if desperate measures are worse than resilence or not I just use it though since I thought it was better.)
Same, even in solo they are super useful. Saving survivors and getting a heal in 10 seconds is so valuable and you end up with a lot of points. If you play it in swf there's nothing the killer can do to win if he doesn't have franklin's.
-
I was going to say what the dev has said. I'd be much more concerned about big medkits. Tank builds are already underrated and this change will make them godlike.
-
Imagine buffing an A tier killer and nerfing a B tier.
-
This is so uncalled for. Nerfing a B tier killer is ######### and shows how clueless are of the balance.
-
I do. I enjoy chases and this gives me chases and is a viable alternative to slowdown perks that get removed in 30 seconds in some brackets of mmr. If people don't like this playstyle they should consider if they like DBD at all.
-
@DawnMad said:
This has been talked here a lot of times. Punishing players for playing together isn't a good idea. The best solution would be to buff Solo Queue information and killers in general.
How is that different? If you buff killers and soloq survivors you are nerfing swf indirectly, that's the same effect. This argument allways seemed to me like a whole bunch of cope so they never touch swf.
-
Enduring by itself is undervalued. You can tank pallets without having to do 50/50s and waste time. Specially good against strong/god pallets to get them out fast.

I've played Pig and Plague consistently at high ranks for years. The parroted 'only 3 killers are viable' noise is just that.
Same, now with SBMM i'm not touching her with a stick. It's ironic that i was getting better results with a bottom tier killer without SBMM than with it.
-
I've faced the same cheater 3 times in a a month. He is still not banned even after sending tickets with video evidence. I feel like I'm doing their job and just spit on my face lmao.

@StibbityStabbity said:
So, Legion is mostly safe, right? Their addons are kinda trash.
Hehe you think they won't touch iridescent button.
-
Just look at steam average player numbers. Game is still growing, even with the mess of SBMM.
-
They didn't lie about it, they just made you made swing instead when the survivor is already 10M away making you waste even more time that if they just denied it. They tried to fix something and made it even worse, this should be Behaviour's motto.
-
I think this happens if you have a teammate near you that is targeted by the chains and they hit you instead. When I'm all alone and i have the box i never get chains on me when I'm solving it, only if they spawn before I start solving it, wich i think this is what happened to you.
-
Probably Pig will be considered the worst, she is def bottom 3
-
How can i change to key last second if i ready up?
-
Lethal pursuer, infectious fright, knock out (replaceable not useful at all against groups), sloppy. Snowball builds are the only solution I've found against the insane fast gen speeds i've come against with some killers.
-
"Game is totally balanced!" meanwhile they refuse to make MMR public

Why is everyone acting like Spirit is dead and that we're currently planning her second funeral lol?
We don't know the add-on changes (Which will probably be the most drastic changes to her) and gave her an actually fair-sounding mindgame. Survivors who have a good sense of hearing can have a chance to outplay you in phase. (Depending on the loop still, because she still is pretty fast in phase, and again, we don't know if she's getting major changes to her movement speed add-ons in phase). Survivors who are extremely aware can see the dust (Which the Devs stated is harder to see around obstacles and in high grass- and again, we're going to need to see how it actually is in the patch.)
All it does is take away Spirit's stand-still mindgame (Something that shouldn't have ever existed imho.), and gives the Survivors a chance to outplay her at her own precise game. (If they have better awareness then her, they will get rewarded. If they don't, then she will get rewarded.) Reminder that Spirit has always been able to see Survivors move grass, corn, and hear Survivors. (And currently has an add-on where she can see their blood while phasing.)
We need to wait till we see the full patch, but all it seems like is that they gave Survivors a chance to actually have counterplay against her that's based on awareness versus awareness, which is something I can appreciate. (And this is as someone who genuinely loves Spirit- I love how much she is based on her awareness, and I'm happy that it will be the larger focus on her kit now instead of encouraging people to fake out a phase and watch to see what sort of jukes/mindgames the Survivor will be trying before you phase, and the Survivors actually having more skillful counterplay to her then 'Throw down the pallet and pray to god that she's wrong or bad'.)
Now that survivors have the control over you why would i play spirit over wraith? He seems like a straight up better version of spirit now. Better map pressure, no cooldown on power, more stealthy moving, 4.6... And the chase power of the lunge out of stealth will be very similar to the visible now visible spirit, because let's be honest, you can pinpoint her location with sound and dust moving pretty easily, the same way she can know where survivors without ironwill are. And remember that survivors don't have to know her exact location, just where she is heading towards to, Spirit has to know exactly where they are to get a hit.

The amount of slowdown you get by an early kill on any killer is huge XD.
But specially with pinhead it's worth to tunnel a survivor out even if you know he has DS and with other killers wouldn't be worth.
-
Hopefully not a licenced killer/surv for once so I can spend my sleepy shards
-
Pinhead is hard to play but he is not bad at all. The amount of slowdown you get with him specially if you manage to get an early kill is great.
-
You can't know, and for some reason people don't want mmr to be public, usually the same people that say they are at the "top mmr"
-
I agree, those addons are worse than running nothing, they just make you miss hits. But hag has a lot of good addons so I prefer they leave her like it is before they butcher her. The bt change did enough damage to hag :(

@Bluebird said:
I don't get why everyone says Spirit's dead now? All they did was add counterplay to her, something that ANY good Spirit can negate. This will just weed out the good Spirits from the bad...
...I'm one of the bad Spirits. :(
Can you please explain how can good spirits negate it?

I hope she’s still fun and viable as well. I’ll be testing her out on the PTB and suggest any changes that she might need to make her better. I’ll still be a Spirit main no matter what happens though.

Removing his Power Recovery add-ons and replacing them with "Injured Survivors are 50% louder while you are in Night Shroud."
Why do I have a feeling something like this will happen.

Fix gen rush and facecamp?
I find that most times the latter is the leading cause of the former.
Try the other way around
-
I hate that the perks they buffed were hex perks.
-
Revert the buff that makes Stridor and some addons that modify sound useless against it. Specially now that spirit will be nerfed stridor can go back to what it was.
-
I like the buffs but it felt a little bad that on killer side the perks getting buffed were totem perks. I wish they buffed perks that can be used consistenyly.
-
What Pig needs is not addon changes, it's base kit changes IMO. She has some very strong addons, and i hope that if they don't change her base kit at least they leave her strong addons intact.

When survivors complain about a new killer after one week or so everyone loses their ######### because you have to wait 15 years before saying anything.
When a killer nerf is announced everyone knows it will make the killer trash without even playing with said killer.
Hypocrisy much?
Please go ahead and cite me with the hypocrisy. Or is it just a strawman?
Either way we know this nerfs will make her bad because when Spirit was on PTB had a bug that let survivors know her location by sound and she was very bad. Now this bug will be a feature plus 2 other nerfs.
-
@ObscurityDragon said:
Yet some survivors still cant see an invisible wreith at 2 m from them, but yeah lets just say that because you can see some dust flying on the ground it makes spirit 100% visible
I could buy that argument if MMR wasn't a thing. In high MMR they might aswell put neon lights on her location.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
I would suggest to wait for the PTB and actually see for yourself as to how it's gonna turn out instead of instantly claiming that Spirit will be dead.
Because i already played that PTB, and she was garbage because one of the things they are introducing was a bug. Now they are even introducing more nerfs, so it's not that i'm guessing she will be bad, i know she will be bad.

Wraith has to spend 3 seconds uncloaking and you can see the shimmer when up close, Spirit instantly attacks and you'll only hear her footsteps.
Spirit has to spend some seconds charging the phasing. And you can see the dust on the ground according to the dev, so she is not invisible either.

Spirit has no turning rate restriction, she can still freely maneuver 360 degrees without a penalty and still hear the survivors. It makes sense for her not to see the survivors because she's the only killer with a movement speed ability that controls it freely while also having a speed boost when coming out of it (well, Wraith does as well, but he has to uncloak).
Now that you talk about Wraith. How is Spirit not a worse Wraith now? She is 4.4, both of them get a speed boost out of their power, and Wraith can move faster around the map and more stealthily. I don't really think that when in a chase she is any better than Wraith now.

Let's ignore all the good things listed, the sky is falling because Rin-chan is getting some counters.
?? I think I am really having an aneurysm. I like most of the changes in the update, this means i can't critisize the things i don't like??
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
Is Blight bad because you can see him rushing?
Oh yeah compare a killer with an insta rush, that lasts longer and is faster to a killer that has to charge his rush and can't see his enemies while he is rushing.
-
I used this perk in other janky builds and stopped because it became useless. It was nerfed because of Spirit, there's no dpubt about it. Now that spirit is no longer strong, please revert it so it can see some fringe play.
-
I like most of the update except the Spirit changes, they killed her completely. They just had to remove the phasing "mindgame" and would be fixed.
