A 4 man faster self-care for just 1 perk slot is not too good apparently
-
Some of my posts have been removed without any kind of notification wich is weird
-
What? I'm seeing at least 1 boon totem each game + the same old meta perks. How are those 2 things exclusive?
-
If most of them continue using ethereum blockchain I sure hope NFTs are not the future because the amount of energy it wastes is disproportionate. But i don't really understand what you mean they are the future, they are a innovation in technology true, but it's not like they will change the world or anything, just another convenience. And I say being involved with NFTs in my job.
-
True, boons are so bad that I stopped playing killer and I'm just playing survivor bullying any killer I have a chance to.
-
How is tunneling improductive? Specially now that Circle of Healing punishes any killers dropping chase.

As a survivor it definetly feels much better to play against, even weak. I assume that against bad players there's no difference. I haven't played her so i can't tell if she feels worse to play but i assume that at high level she will be easy to juke, she had counterplay before with ironwill/uninjured now much more and I hope they don't add the visual dust. IMO she is fine but definetly worse than blight and nurse and won't have a chance against good teams
-
I made a comment the day they announced the 50% off that this wouldn't be the last one, on oh what a surprise
-
Yeah nerf Myers and Ghostface, they really need this.
-
It's very underrated specially now. Unless you are a god and have a visual map in your head about everything around you just by a slight peak this perks is useful for everybody in chase, even the most experienced survivors (I would say they can even take more advantage from this). You can run an m1 killers for gens and if you are not the first one being chased you will know what pallets are used. It's S tier in my book.
-
I actually used the same build, it was the only way to make Devour Hope usable without making it op (because you still had to spend a lot of time trying to defend it and you are using an extra perk just for it). Im mad that they nerfed it to the ground just because it might have been good against boon totems. Behaviour clearly doesn't want perk variety.
-
What's worse about that is that a few years ago I was one of these kids sending hate messages over videogames. I actually have no clue if there is even a solution to that. The easy thing to say is "grow a spine" but that's obviously very hard for some people and it can get through most people when it becomes the norm. Sad.
-
If it didn't remove pools of blood...
-
Because the perk would actually be useful in a world where boon totems exist and making a viable perk is a no-no. Just stick to your ruin undying tinkerer and don't look back, variety is haram.
-
It's not bannable, I would have been banned a milion times.

To get rid of NOED reliably AND heal myself for more bloodpoints?
You can heal yourself with this perk for more bp with this perk... and I'd argue that boon totems are even better against NOED because you keep track of dull totems more and disregard the lit ones when searching for it.

Wait a week and almost nobody runs Boon-Perks. Especially because there were Achievements for Boon-Perks.
I don't see anyone using selfcare over circle of healing. Why would you? And self-care was one of the most popular perks. I doubt they will go away.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Boon-Totems did not change anything for Hext-Totems.
I'm certainly seeing more maps and builds with perks for tracking totems, so indirectly yeah, it hurts hexes.
-
I'm fine with the nerf to this addon, it was extremly annoying to deal with. What's unjustified is the nerf to his base kit.
-
I hope they nerf her again, this patch only nerfed her best addons, they should nerf her base kit aswell.

Seeing as running 2 purple add ons every game isn't really possible... Pig'll be just fine. Did her most powerful and broken setup get nerfed? Yep. Did it need it? Also Yep. Did they buff a whole lot of other stuff Pig has going on in her add ons? Looks like it. Do I think Pig will be overall better with these changes? Also Yep.
If you can't see that the Survivor dying after only 1 down and some bad RNG rolls is not OK, then I don't know what to tell you.
I haven't given an opinion on wether it was good or bad, i just stated a fact that they nerfed it and it was the best she had, therefore they nerfed Pig. I don't know why is this so hard to understand. Wether you liked or not those addons doesn't matter, it is still a nerf.

Her best build was stupid. Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears + Large Map = Dead Survivor if they're unlucky with their boxes. That feels cheesy for the Survivors and honestly I've never felt that Head Pops were all that interesting or fun for the Killer. However what they have done is massively increased how much you can buff her Crouch and Dash through add ons, which is pretty fantastic since that's the part of Pig's power you're actively using.
Also, I don't see why they would have buffed her base kit if they didn't nerf it?
I don't care how cheesy or unfair you feel it was, you admit it was her best build and it was nerfed, so they nerfed Pig. If you can't admit it you are just being disingenuous.

Deathslinger weak? Haha you have not seen a good deathslinger. He is rated A tier for a reason, and he still has really good addons.
Imagine thinking he belongs next to huntress

@FFirebrandd said:
This isn't a nerf. It supports a different playstyle. It uses all your traps for delay at the beginning when you need it most but it does make head pops very unlikely. To be honest, all Iri Addons should be playstyle shifts instead of massive buffs.
As someone who played Pig with all her possible variants, this is completly a nerf at her highest potential, pretending otherwise is being dishonest. They nerfed her best build without buffing her base kit.

I'm not describing it as NFT's are basically just a scam anyways, the tumblr post is just funny
I guess my business is a giant scam then. I love people on the internet having strong opinions on stuff they nothing about.

Ok man...
If you wonder what an NFT is to summarize: It's a digital asset that with provable ownership over it. Could be art, could be a contract, could be the deed to your house or car...

- Plague getting a massive buff (less janky to play, better add-ons, better infection rates)
- Deathslinger getting gutted (32 meter radius while still being 110%, he now has an animation before shooting)
- Spirit nerf (now has a directional audio qeue, may have a visual qeue too when the patch hits live)
- Wraith nerf (the speed boost lasts less now)
- Ghostface "buff" (less cooldown, but his add-ons are still the same except for the cooldown ones)
- Pig got a really good add-on pass
- A lot of perks got changed, but nothing major
- Boon totems (may shift the meta)
I would agree about a "good" addon pass for pig if they didn't nerf her best addons without buffing her base kit. They nerfed her at her highest potential.
-
Iron will enables this braindead playstyle because the killer won't know in time if he is still in the loop or he walked to the next one and will waste his time trying to mindgame.
-
Drop the pallet, spam spacebar hile he's cloaked, profit.
-
I was specially disappointed with Pig. They actually nerfed her best addons without buffing the base kit lol.
-
And how exactly you want to nerf it without making him useless?

I've said it before. If escaping was a requirement to "win" survivors would be less incline to go for endgame saves.
Well, the system doesn't only think that it's a requirement, it thinks it's the ONLY and essential requirement to win.

Poker doesn't get cards added and removed in between hands.
Dota 2, you could be losing by much and get a double damage rune just by luck and destroy the enemy team, has happened yesterday in TI. Is it not a competitive game either because things get added and removed by rng out of their control?
-
@SonicOffline said:

...But I don't think it's competitive. Over half of the game's outcome is controlled entirely by RNG. That's competitive to you?
Isn't poker a competitive game? I think you should read the definition...

If that's your takeaway then you're exactly the reason they're hiding MMR. 🙃
Imagine playing a competitive videogame and not wanting to be better than others

There is something that you need to understand: some killers are so hard to face that we, survivors, do not wish to face'em. We judge them unfair and that is why, sometimes, we kill ourselves in our first hook. That is not "my problem", as in "ego problem". This is clearly a balancing issue. These kind of things needs to be discussed, specially with streamers or content creators, that are closer to Behavior than we'll ever be.
We do get your point, actually. Playing as a killer sounds completely unfair because you're up against other 4 people. But that's just because you think you HAVE TO KILL ALL 4 SURVIVORS EVERYTIME. If you kill 3 and one escapes through the hatch, "it's unfair". If you kill 2 and 2 escapes through the gates, "it's unfair, they brought medkits, they brought tool boxes, Prove Thyself and yada yada yada".
Get a hold of yourself. Breathe and think. How's that (2 survivors escaping) humiliating in any way that you get so frustrated and think that you've been wronged in any way? It's time we end this vicious cycle.
Playing against Wraith, Nurse, Oni, Blight and Spirit has been a complete pain in the ass for quite a long time now. Those killers are way too overwhelming if played correctly. Who the heck allowed Oni to make those 180º drifts anyway? What about Blight? Dude, the drifts that killer's able to do... that is so ridiculous and embarassing. Spirit regains her power so fast that makes her unbearable. I think you get my point. If you still don't, try playing survivor for a month. I'm sure you'll be able to understand what I mean.
How does this have anything to do with what he said? If you ######### on first hook you are acting like a baby and ruin the game for your teammates and deserve a ban if you keep doing it.

If they want to do that, they should shorten the TR so survivors know to respond immediately. A bigger TR creates confusion about how close a killer really is. I had one terrifying match against a Doctor on Hawkins who had maxed out his TR, so the entire map was covered by it. It just turned him into a stealth killer since his TR was useless for survivors.
32m is probably the worst for killers in terms of usefulness. Lower than that and survivors have much less time to respond, higher than that and survivors won't get much info from it. The same reason whispers is 32 meters, it's the sweet spot to detect survivors.
If people respond immediately against hearing deathslinger terror radious it doesn't matter much, he will be in range of the gun before they have made much distance, if people hear him with 32m they will start making distance/hide sooner, at least people with comms or people the value of it.
-
They like the W meta and want survivors to react the moment they hear the terror radius so they can rotate to m1 another gen.

Toxicity and Elitism is what the devs said in the q&a stream. They don't want people going around flexing their mmr.
I hate that. I get punished for getting better and i don't get the reward of proving that i'm better. It's like they want old players to quit the game.
-
@botrax said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/287056/whats-the-official-reason-to-hide-mmr
Because they are scare people will start to say i have a higher mmr then you so your opinion is invalide.
Anyway that what they said during the Q&A
The opinion of people with lower skill SHOULD have less weight anyway so I don't see what's the problem in that, that's the same with any competitive game and that's not a bad thing.
@[Deleted User] said:
Toxicity and Elitism
Just mute the chat, i don't see the problem if you get triggered by people being toxic. It's not like this doesn't happen in every competitive videogame, and it already happens in DBD.
-
@Munqaxus said:

Because that changes the game from a casual game to a competitive game.
What? How is showing a number change anything gameplaywise? The moment they introduced sbmm it already became a competitive game, just without the reward of knowing if you are doing better or worse
-
Please no, they said they were buffing Pig and they ended up nerfing her best addons. So i hope they don't "buff" clown aswell.
-
Oh ffs dont shout it to the void, i don't want yet another Pig nerf, they are already nerfing her best addons next patch.

So if a teammate quita and I die/escape then I dont lose/gain mmr? Sorry just trying to understand and not misread something
No, the MMR is individual, it doesn't count for him, if you die you will lose mmr anyways no matter what happened in the game.
-
They said multiple times that they don't want to mess with gen speeds directly so i don't think we will see any of this.
