  • Cant believe people is still making better balance decisions than a group a devs who are being payed to do It. I'd pay to see any of those changes make It to live game, specially Dragons Grip. I still cant understand how they made It so that It goes on cooldown even if you dont get benefit out if It, unbelievable...

So many perks just need number changes to make them actually useful yet there they are, collecting dust....

  • I still dont get why they ######### up Heather so much, they could have just used her character model from Silent Hill 3, moders do that all the times for a lot of games, go check GTA or Battlefront.

They also removed the brain from Pyramid Head, which it isnt that bad but still unnecesary.

  • The only survivor I see a good reason to main is Claudette because of her skins.

Survivors dont have anything that makes them different between them, you can get any perk on any survivor.

If you like David King then go for him. I used to play a lot of Dwith because of the Halloween clothes I got 2 years ago but now Im kind of tired of him and I've started using Feng Ming because females have better FOV and I also have the Lunar Event exclusive skin on her.

  • Just the other day I killed 2 guys who were trying to bully me, 3 gens remain so I have to look for the other 2 survivors, I play on PS4 and because I have restricted privacy no one can send me msgs except for my friends, I had to also restric the people that can follow me because in those 2 mins of game left, those 2 guysI killed started spamming the follow so that notifications wouldnt stop popping on my screen.

It's not just the laughing part, it's the annoying part, I can stand the Teabagging, the click click, the msgs made me laugh at first but when you get so many notifications It gets boring and repetitive, I think I've had like 2-3 times a survivor has said gg to me, and one of those times the guy said It because he remembered me from the forums.

Im not trying to say Im the best killer on this game but like most veterans I know exactly how the game works, the distance a killer is able to hit a survivor through a window, the time It takes a survivor to drop a pallet, strong Jungle Gym setups, that's what a rank 1 has to know after all and that makes me get the 3k about 90% of the times and people just keep laughing and being mean.

Just because you are good doesnt mean people are gonna stop doing what they want. Go check good killer streamers like Truetalent if you dont believe me. Every killer on this game, good or bad has to deal with toxicity, if you have thick skin and a good sense of humor like me you wont care ######### about It, but most people dont feel specially good when they get so much of It.

  • Survivor wait times are that long because not many people like to play killer for obvious reasons.

A friend I used to play with always played survivor and when he got hit by some powers he used to complain a lot about it. Another friend and I told him to play killer just so that he could learn the mechanics and he could counter those things, his response was exactly this "why should I play killer, so that people can laugh at me?"

He's been playing survivor for 3-4 years, he is red ranks and is a click-click boy that likes to be toxic. He has never played killer.

The problem is that curving is not as viable as before. So the skill ceiling of billy got smaller.

But im not 100% sure, bc i was and am bad at curving.

But bc you are new to him the only thing that changed for you is the removal of the instasaw.

His curving is next to non existent because of his new sound cue and the nerft to his insta-saw add-ons. But mostly because of the sound.

  • All you have to do to get there is 2 gens, win 2 chases and save and heal 1 guy, that'll always give you a pip.

  • I honestly dont have a bad time with that, if they switch on the last second I'll just close the game as I wont get the matchmaking ban. If they are gonna try to be dicks and do that, I'll be a dick and throw them back to their 10+ min of matchmaking lol.

Recover from exaustion while running would be too strong in the right hands, but I think that it should have Iron Will included in the perk, no blood and no sound would make it a more viable option

Imo being one shot away from a hook is good reason to be able to recover from Exhaustion while running.

  • It would be cool if that bug was left as It is right now, It would make the perk really good for stealth players.

  • We have yet to see gameplay against good survivors and that's not gonna happen until the update goes live, because lets face It, everyone is messing around when playing the PTB.

In the recent Dev Update, we were presented with many changes including to the all so popular perk, Hex Undying. In it, the Devs listed out their issues with Hex Undying and what they felt are needed changes.

Lets start by reading the issues outlined by the Devs:

       1. Transferring the same Hex multiple times can get out of hand: Hexes are meant to be strong perks that can be destroyed, and having to destroy the same Hex four times can be a bit much.

       2. Since tokens aren’t transferred when a Hex changes totems, Undying was unpopular with perks other than Ruin (which does not have any tokens and is immediately at full power).

       3. Having aura reading on all totems also made it a very powerful tracking perk on top of its other effects, and is a little redundant with Hex: Thrill of the Hunt.

Now lets read how they plan on solving these issues. Solutions seem to be in order to address the issues above:

       1. Any time a Hex totem is cleansed, it will replace the Hex: Undying totem. Hex: Undying is then deactivated. This ensures that the first totem cleansed is never your other Hex perk.

       2. Any tokens you’ve already accumulated are now kept when the Hex perk transfers totems. This way you’re not starting from scratch part way through a match.

       3. Aura reading only applies to dull totems.

So solutions 1 and 2 are presented in a way to say, yes we are making the perk weaker but we are also making it stronger in another way. You know, compromise. Both sides being equally happy or upset.

    🤔

    Did you catch it?

    🤨

    Solution 2 never happens.

    😱

Yes, if the first Hex perk cleansed will always be Hex Undying, then how do tokens transfer for Hex Devour Hope when its cleansed?

You could say the survivor really cleansed the Hex Devour Hope first and it transferred. But isn't that the same thing as saying they really cleansed Hex Undying? Smoke and Mirrors. Not like you could tell the difference in game.

So, in the end of the day Hex Undying is weakened with no upsides when compared to its previous state. The real loss is the aura reading, imo. It was just easier to changes a controversial perk than find a better power for an unpopular one.

Agree or agree to disagree, these are the changes coming for the perk. I just don't like the intentional or unintentional way it was presented.

    Cheers

I think you didnt understand the point of the devs.

New Undying makes It so that if you have 3 stacks Devour of Hope + Undying, whenever they cleanse any of the totems you'll keep Devour with 3 tokens.

It makes It so that you will always have to cleanse the "strong" hex twice while keeping the stacks.

  • That's why I'll run NOED, if they didnt want to deal with Ruin+Undying they'll have to deal with Ruin+NOED.

Didnt want to clean 2-3 totems? Now you either clean all of them or you go down.

  • The changes havent even been tested yet, chill out

Nurse is just a poorly-designed killer. She circumvents every mechanic everyone else has to deal with. In the right hand she is unstoppable no matter who the survivors are and what they do. (Yet the game is still survivor-sided according to people)

Yes, it takes a lot of practice, skill and dedication to get to that level but nurse is the main reason I don't accept the narrative that the game is survivor-sided.

Just because 1 killer can do to survivors what survivors can do to all the other killers doesnt mean people is wrong when they say the game is survivor sided.

And that was before the nerf, right now you can face most Nurse players without problems if you know what you are doing, just break line of sight and keep running, if you are trying to loop a Nurse then you clearly lack skill on this game.

  • No it's not, if survivors clean all totems that's enough time wasted for a good killer to kill them all.

If survivors just genrush, dont heal and do the Adrenaline play you should have enough time to kill at least 1 person before all gens get done and have all the others at least 2 hooks from dying, which is perfect for a NOED slug festival.

I like to see NOED as an insurence, I rather have It and not use It, than not having It and need It.

  • The strenght of his power doesnt really come from how much time you have to mend, because in the end you can be on Deep Woods for the hole match.

He has bigger problems like his full power depleats after a regular M1 and his movement speed in FF is just not enough if you want to catch someone who is revealed at about 30m if that person starts running.

Not sure what rank you're in but it won't do you any good in red ranks assuming the survivors aren't dumb. Any rank lower than that you'll prob have a field day

    16101358745603140502639870785089.jpg

    Red ranks.

    NOED is useful here.

  • My only concern is that they didnt add a totem counter...

    How hard was that? Seriously...

  • @carnage4u said:

Whenever I see NOED from anyone higher rank the 14, I laugh at the killer for a good 15 minutes. I feel very bad for anyone that takes that perk after they learn how to play this game.

LMAO, I guess you also laugh at people using DS+Unbreakable?

It's not that we cant get kills without NOED, it's just that we want easy games just like survivors want easy games.

But yh, you can laugh all you want, people dont really care anyway lol.

  • Just throw the buff at yourself when in the open and then throw the debuff at the other side of the pallet the survivors is going to.

  • DS stayed broken for 2 years and a half, expect the same amount of time until anymore changes come to it.

I think we are just gonna get Clowns rework and various Blight fixes in the mid-chapter, which is nice tbh.

  • Very pretty and all but... The devs should fixx the ######### light on A LOT of maps or give us the chance to change brightness.

  • Blight, easy to loop, easy to counter his power.

  • I just want the original Tinkerer to be back again in some way or another...

  • Just remove the aura reading, that's it.

  • Doctor, stopped playing him because of Billy. But right now I feel like Ghostface is slowly taking his place.

  • Jake deserves A tier way more than Claudette, Iron Will is just too good.

  • As killer, every time survivors try to pick their items back thinking I'll go for the hook right after I hit them with Franklins Demise while I carry someone on my shoulders as Basement Bubba, It always results in 2 people going to the basement.

As survivor, every time a killer knows that I have Head On so they start "mindgaming" the wrong locker.

  • Anyone who is doing adept.

Sometimes I kind of see who is doing adept and It makes me want to give them hatch, or even some rapair points.

Happens something similar with people doing the pustula challenges, if I see they're on last hook and the still dont have their challenge, I let them get It before I kill them.

  • The only thing GF needs is a 20 second recovery power and have just 1 recovery speed add-on that makes It go down to 15 seconds.

    Everything else is unnecesary changes.

  • "Laughs in Basement Bubba + NOED"

  • @RamblinRango said:

Good survivors will loop around a safe pallet a couple times before dropping it, waste as much time as possible

Good survivors dont drop safe pallets even if It means a down.

  • The only problems I find with the Twins is Bloodhound for free.

It's stupid to have the best slugging killer in the game with a perk that makes tracking injured survivors so much easier.

  • I think you are over reacting a little here. My matches at red ranks usually have a good range of killers.

Teammates could be better but it's all randoms so there's no point on taking It seriously.

The rift has helped me have fun if that makes any sense... I seriously find It entertaining doing the challenges.

  • FPS is limited on PS4 and Xbox One, that's not gonna change, just get used to It or buy a PS5 or a Xbox Series.

Pray for M&K on console, that feature has been requested for years and nothing has been done... Meanwhile PC players can choose between controller or M&K whenever they want... Unbelievable.

At this point the only way you can get M&K on console is probably Cronusmax.

  • Invisible Nurse just yesterday.

  • Quick and Quiet, best looping perk imo.

If you are a good survivor you dont need Exhaustion or vaulting speed perks. Quick and Quiet makes the killer go mad if you break LoS near a window. If you also use Dance With Me it makes It so easy to gain distance.

  • Even tho there's no autoaim, survivors can still mess up the hit detection, which is one of those problems that the devs havent fixed for years now...

If you, as survivor move slightly to the right and left very fast while you are running foward, you can make the lunge of the killer stop right when is about to hit you, even if the killer is still holding M1 the lunge will not connect with the survivor.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I prefer him over spirit. I cant stand slingers and their cheap ass ability. I had panic player miss a hit with the easiest shot but as soon as I'm like 6 meters away vaulting a window on grim pantry as he just turns the corner and quick scopes me. I run the tile right, he misses a shot but still gets a free down because of his ######### design. And no walking behind walls doesnt count as counter play because then you get m1 if you are in a loop you have nothing to hide behind. That's my problem with him his ability works too fast and it is just cheap. At least spirit can be looped conventionally and there is some semblance of 1v1 her only issue is lack of info but the lack of action is just so boring and cancerous to this game. And I'm officially killing myself on hook against any deathslinger that knows what they are doing because then I cant have a fun match. This may be entitled but I dont care this is the only entitlement im going to have and plus I'm entitled to fun so screw deathslinger

Maybe you should have anticipated his move and just dont make the vault.

I've seen a lot of hate towards console survivors recently about how they play bad, never play injured etc, that's all wrong.

It all depends on the person behind the screen and even then every game is different, most situations are different. People are different.

That PC rank 1 Bill got props from me because he saved me from hook in EGC, just like a Bill would. The PS4 killer gave us a good game and managed to kill the cross platform survivors, awesome. You don't see me saying "Sweet jesus I barely made it out of there cause those awful PC monkeys. Huge skill gap. Computer bad."

No, this is what a good cross platform game looks like and could you believe it? A PS4 survivor survived. Thanks Bill.

People couldnt be more wrong, a lot of PS4 players play injured on red ranks, they're good loopers and very efficient, this is coming from someone who's been playing both sides from years on PS4.

I have said before that Freddy is not OP, but I will admit that after a while of listening to people I have concluded that Freddy just has a lot to his base kit. He is not OP, but people feel he has a bit too much in his base kit.

How would I balance him or make him more skillful to play while keeping him strong? I have no idea, but if anything I feel like he should have both the snares and dream pallets in his base kit if he gets nerfed in some places, but buffed in others.

Not sure what to expect, but I sure hope they don't pull a hillbilly on him.

    F for old billy.

I think the only problem with this character are his slowdown add-ons, take that away, that's it. He would still be strong but he wouldnt be that boring and tedious to face.

  • @Kees_T said:

Also Freddy is such a generic Killer, he's just a M1 Killer that can teleport and slow down survivors in loops, that's it, he doesn't have a unique mechanic to him like the old version of him had. I prefered the old version.

Not all killers have to have super original power, just see The Wraith or Myers, they're not that unique either.

  • And somehow they're almost always wrong.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

They will probably buff some Clown's perks, Bamboozle will hopefully get one QoL change. (one of the effects the same at all tiers, 15 % or 16 seconds)

PGTW already got changed, so it will probably stay the same.

Coulrophobia will probably finally get buffed somehow.

I still dont get why perks like Vigil or Leader stay active for 15 seconds after no longer in range but all TR killer perks disappear the moment people a no longer in range.

Coulrophobia and similar perks need that buff.
