Maybe I'm the weird one here cause I'm usually in the lobby every day at 7pm for when the new one pops up :D
-
Alrighty
I'm....not sure what you want us to do about it?
Get the names and some recording to send in a report once everything is all said and done. Also probably delete the screenshot as Naming and Shaming is against the rules FYI.

But seriously suicide on hook is mostly out of spite against the killer so the killer shouldn't really complain
You just screwed over your three teammates so...good job showing that killer?

Is it that big a deal? Even then survivors can gen rush or destroy totems and grind
Depends on the survivors
Some of them realize I've stopped trying to slaughter them and get everything done right away. Some think they're all doomed and just turtle up the entire game playing Locker Hider Simulator 2.0
Either way, I feel like it's a big waste of time for me as I want to play a game of DBD, not farm or just slaughter three unlucky bastards who got the short straw jerk survivor on their team killing themselves on the hook.
-
I hate it
Now I have one of two choices (assuming this happened early in the match). I take my foot off the gas and get stuck in a match going a lot longer than it should because there's only three people working on stuff or I just go for the quick kills just to get the damn game over with and then feel bad because those three likely never had a real chance...
It's a waste of everyone's time and I really wish BHVR would figure something out to deal with it
-
I'll be curious if I get through it all. I thought for sure my three week break would snap my Rift in half but I'm chugging along pretty good in the Rift.
Right now, I still get it because I get the points for it each time (so I get the Rift "for free"). If I ever hit a point though where I won't get through the entire Rift and get it again for free, I'll likely never buy it again. The cosmetics are kind of neat I suppose but I have no real burning desire to have a bunch more of them...

What killers are on your poop list?
Hag (I find her very boring to play as), The Hillbilly (for some reason, I just cannot figure out how to use their chainsaw), Spirit (I just don't like them and I'm not really sure why; never got comfortable with using her powers), The Blight (although it sounds like BHVR may have fixed the POV being so freaking low so if that is the case, I might give our speed demon another try) and at least for now, The Trickster (cause he's a hot dumpster fire of a mess of a killer).
-
I have found that I really enjoy playing as The Twins personally
I don't play them very often (I am constantly switching up killers, it's pretty common that if I play 5 killer matches in a night, I'll play as 5 different killers) but at the very least they're not on my poop list where I won't play as them unless forced to like some killers.
-
I rarely use NOED (I found it's only really useful against good teams since I can take out bad teams without it but good teams are also far more likely to do bones) but on occasion I will for fun. I will say the same thing to you that I do when I get messages whining at how bad I am for using NOED from survivors...
You worry about your perks, I'll worry about mine.
-
I didn't believe everyone when they said he was so bad. "Oh normal Forum people overblowing things" I thought to myself...
Oh how wrong I was
Maybe he is better on the PC but on console, I have about as much control over those knives as I do a firehose. I've had survivors who just ran around like ducks in a shooting gallery (presumably they felt sorry for me) and sometimes the knives will go exactly where I want them to (IE Straight) and sometimes it's like Tricker sneezed and they just go wherever they want.
Getting one of those stupid knives to do what I want it to and hit the survivor is tricky but getting eight of them to do it so far has proven damn near impossible. I don't know if practice will help all things considered so he may just end up being sidelined until BHVR inevitably does...something with him.

I can't control when my Wi-Fi company has a outage of service ???? Soooo even.the best internet can still fail buddy
Is your internet failing so often that you're getting 24 hours worth of bans (which would require 6+ drops per day, or maybe it's more, I've never had more than four drops in one day and that was during a DBD Server Issue thing so everyone was dealing with it)?
Sometimes things happen, which is why it starts at only five minutes. But if your internet is so unstable that you are constantly dropping out in the middle of games, multiplayer games shouldn't be something you play until you get it situated. If you can't/won't get it situated than sorry, yeah, you shouldn't be playing DBD shrug
-
Whether you quit because you got pissed off and threw your game into the dumpster or your internet decided to disconnect doesn't really matter to the four people whose game you just completely screwed up
Sorry that your internet sucks but if you don't have stable internet for a multiplayer game, you shouldn't be playing multiplayer games
-
At this point, The Devs seem to be the only ones who like the mechanic...
-
There are plenty of killers who camp because all they want to do is get (at least) one kill and they either can't or won't get good enough to get said kill in any other way (though there are times when camping IS the correct play but I'm assuming you're not talking about EGC here).
It's just the nature of multiplayer games. Some people will use frowned upon tactics to try to win. Unless my hand is forced, I won't ever camp but I'm also more interested in an engaging game than I am with winning (I'd much rather get 0 kills and have a fun match than get 4 kills but I sat in a corner for 3/4 of it doing nothing).
-
Once you kick the gen, it goes white. It will stay white until a survivor works on it (which turns it yellow but only for a short time pending which tier it's at before returning to red) or it regresses all the way, in which case it goes back to red like normal.
-
It's the Spring Sale. Both Microsoft and Sony do this every year at Easter time. Go onto either console and you'll see hundreds of games at deep discounts.
-
I also never use Spine Chill. I've never had any issues with getting surprised or whatnot.
I suppose it does occasionally happen but the 1 in 100 times when Spine Chill might have saved me a hook isn't really worth it the other 99 times I'm playing.

I play whichever side has the shorter queue. It probably balances out to around 50/50 in the end, but there'll be periods when it seems like I play almost all killer or all survivor.
This
Weekdays when I have less time is almost always killer cause the queue is instant. Weekends when I have more time to play is usually survivor for the same reason.
I likely balance more towards killer than survivor time-wise but I imagine they're relatively close. 60/40 maybe 65/35
If the queues were more balanced in general, I'd likely be closer to 50/50
EDIT if it matters; I am Red Rank on both. Generally RR1-3 on Survivor and RR1-5 on Killer pending how well the night is going...

I gave you a Vote Up but that pun is too good for just a mere Vote Up so here's a quote too. Well done!

...what an incredibly dumb challenge
Like...I get that the "finish a gen 20 times" challenges aren't all that exciting, this one just seems dumb for dumb sake...
-
Bye!

Yeah, survivors who are jerks to you and do everything they can do to get your attention by annoying you are funny when they then go on to complain that they got my attention.
You wanted my attention. I'm literally giving you what you wanted! Why you so mad now? :D
(See also people who were unhooked with BT who then kamikaze me so I can't go after the unhooker)
EDIT: Though I generally still won't camp right away because I'm still playing through the game but whenever a survivor does some BM, they should get a little TELLTALE Style popup that says "The Killer will remember that" for when the EGC comes around...
-
Honestly, even the best killer can be a huge struggle to get the adept for. Lower tier killers like Hag can take forever to get as you need to play well and usually get lucky too (lost so many adept chances cause of that F'ing Hatch...).
You can use any add ons you want, just need to make sure your only 3 perks are hers so you might be dealing with a bug.
-
I don't
There are perks I always use no matter what (BBQ & Chill for Points and Kindred cause you basically have to have it to be a decent Solo Player) and I will usually have an exhaustion perk of some kind (usually Lithe but I'll play around with it).
I find a lot of the Meta perks just kind of boring so I like to mess around with different combos and things just to see what might be fun.
-
For the killer, it has a pretty good sense of whether you "won" or "lost" (Entity Displeased is a clear loss while others can either be seen as a win or a tie at worst).
For the survivor, there could be more done to differentiate a win vs a loss. Right now, there's either you died or you won. Whether you died a coward who did nothing to help your team because you were too busy peeing yourself hiding in the corner of the map while everyone was slaughtered or you died staying on the last gen even though the killer was on top of you for your last hook but you valiantly took the hit (and subsequent third Death Hook) to get that last gen popped and saved everyone in the process, in the eyes of the Match Over Screen, you both are losers who failed to survive.
I'm not sure it's THAT big of a deal as most people already have their own idea of what a win versus a loss is and the game telling them one way or the other wouldn't change their mind but it probably wouldn't hurt either.
-
There's a reason why survivor queue gets so wonky at night. There are not a ton of killers out at night and the ones that foolishly brave it commonly get punished for it so then they stop playing...
SEAL TEAM 6 SWF squads will treat the killers like their own personal chew toys and then get Shocked Pikachu Face when killers stop showing up

LOL they should make kobe into 1 shot and only allowed to use when it's about to be P2, and remove the kobe punishment. Then ppl can't kill themselves in P1, maybe make struggle in P2 automatically and ppl can't give up on P2
Also acceptable but BHVR seems Hell Bent on making sure The Struggle Mechanic stays in the game even though I'm pretty sure literally no one likes it...
-
Honestly, I have yet to hear one suggestion that "punishes" killers who camp that wouldn't be easily abused by survivors.
My personal preference would be that the person getting camped gets something. Right now as solo, it absolutely sucks to have teammates getting facecamped because 9/10 end the same way; that person kills themselves on the hook. If they're not with people they know, very few solos will sit there and waste four minutes of their life to help a bunch of strangers possibly escape when they get nothing out of it.
I would love for there to be something for the camped person to at least incentivize them to help the team by sticking around and forcing the killer to sit there and actively camp if that's the game they want to play (letting everyone else hammer gens and hopefully get out of Dodge).
-
I'm pretty sure the Mods are volunteers...
EDIT: I looked it up. The Mods are indeed not paid as I thought. Unless you count getting a special charm as getting paid I guess...
-
Funsy!
The Matchmaking has been broken for quite a long time now. They're about to scrap it entirely (everyone will start at Rank 20 at the reset and it'll basically determine your "Bonus BP" every time it resets) so soon enough it'll literally mean nothing where right now it just figuratively means nothing :D

It shouldn't but it does shrug
I don't really know what you want me to say here. I get that getting pissed off at the game cause some ######### is gonna ######### is stupid but if I could just tell myself that and be fine, I wouldn't have any issue with it.
That's super that getting mocked for your failure in a game doesn't bug you. I wish I could do that but something in my dumb reptile brain doesn't click with that.

Sorry that that happens to you but if others did some that may not of happened
Just to make sure it's clear since there is some ambiguity to my post, I am agreeing with Orion there :D
You want NOED Nerfed? Doing Bones will Nerf it real quick!
-
@Orion said:
Why don't you just cleanse totems? You get a ton of points for it.
Small Game, Detective's Hunch, maps... You have many ways to find totems and only takes 14 seconds to cleanse one.
I play nothing but Solo but it's amazing how many times I can do 3-4 bones by myself (since if I sees Bones, I do Bones) and STILL have NOED pop off on me...
I don't even run perks to find the damn things! NOED should have been nerfed in that game since all five bones should have easily been done since I did more than half the damn work! Someone help me out here!!! :,(
-
SWFs are not unbeatable
But they stack the deck so badly against you that they can be damn close to it if the SWF group is even remotely competent
-
It's normal for most people
Whatever the "root cause" is, ultimately at night there are way more survivors who want to play than there are killers. The only way to fix that is to get more killers to play at night.

I mean, if I do the hatch thing it's because I'm at least going to give them a mori. Waiting until they bleed out though isn't fun
I don't know what exactly you do but I'm referring to the people who will down you, pick you up, specifically carry you over to the hatch but then drop you a few feet away and stand there starring at you because they want you to crawl to the hatch so they can slam it in your face.
-
I had left for a few weeks after getting super frustrated (I've since come back but I've set myself up with some pretty strict rules in playing this game and if I break one again, I'm going to shut it down forever).
You're certainly not the first person leaving now and you'll not be the last. It's a shame that this game CAN be super good but more often than not it just...isn't. But there's really nothing like this to play out there so we come crawling back asking for more...
-
I do like the ones that will drop me a few feet from the Hatch and then stand there. Like...I've played this game a few times dude, I'm not going to crawl to the hatch for you to shut it in my face because being an ass is the closest thing to happiness you can achieve. We'll both sit here and waste our time until you either get bored or I die.

@Dizzy1096 said:
Because the gens go lightning fast so people are resorting to playing hard as fast as possible because you have no idea what kind of team you’re up against
Basically this
As a killer, you have no idea what situation you're walking into. If you want a snowballs chance in Hell against a team that knows what they're doing, you have to go all gas and no brakes on it right away or else you're going to get left behind immediately.
But if you go all gas and no brakes on a team of OK to bad survivors, it snowballs immediately and everyone gets slaughtered. But it's a little late to pump the brakes once you've hung 3/4 the survivors up...
-
She's super fun to play as but has much of the problems of a standard M1 killer; she doesn't have the speed or mobility to pressure. This wouldn't be so bad if her barfing was consistent but it's pretty common to barf all over people but it either hit the rock they're next to somehow or it just plain doesn't work (I've had the survivor grunt like they were hit but were not infected).
She's fun so I still play as her but she's an OK killer at best in terms of being able to compete
-
I think what people hate is how damn inconsistent it is. You can be in the open and close enough to give him a protstate exam and nothing will happen and you can be behind rocks specifically trying NOT to reveal him so your hiding spot isn't compromised and the game will start to spot him.
Is it IMPOSSIBLE that all these threads and my own experiences are because we all suck and don't know what we're doing? I suppose not. It just seems more likely that GFs reveal mechanic is just frustratingly inconsistent, if not downright broken...
-
Should have done bones :D
-
Well I have no idea how the hell to fix a generator so hope the other three know what they're doing :D

Bubba is fun
This
I can't speak for other killers but I commonly play as Bubba cause Bubba be fun to play as. It's also weird how many people are so bad playing against him, which is a nice bonus.
It's like that scary movie where you laugh at the main character because they run upstairs instead of out the front door except they run into an open field vs Bubba instead of all those tight corners in the trees...
-
I'm not sure I'll finish it. I took three weeks off and finally suckered myself back in (though even then with my own internal rules, I'm not playing nearly as much as I did).
If I don't finish the rift this go around, I'll probably not buy it again. I just don't care all that much about cosmetics and had bought it just for more to do when I played but again, I was playing WAY more previously...
