Are BHVR losing sales?
After a horrendous past six months of constant controversial decisions and poor patches when it comes to Dead By Daylight, all these recent sales have gotten me thinking - are BHVR losing sales? This is the most sales/discounts i've seen at once since I started playing back in September 2018.
Merch Store:
10% off all orders until April 4th
15% over $75 until April 4th
PlayStation Game Sales:
20% off Silent Hill & Stranger Things Edition until April 28th (NA/EU)
20% off Silent Hill Edition until April 28th (Asia/JP)
XBOX Game Sales:
60% off Base Game until 16th April (Worldwide)
Steam Game Sales:
50% off Base Game until April 13th
DLC Sales:
50% off All DLCs except All-Kill until April 13th
40% off Silent Chill Chapter until April 13th
30% off Binding Of Kin until April 13th
And then on top of this we have an absolute ton of cosmetics which have recently released, including cosmetics for Trickster and Yun-Jin Lee, The Seoul Sights Collection and now The Spring Ensembles Collection. Not to mention there's also sales for Stadia and Switch too.
Anyone else think BHVR could be losing sales and this is why they're pushing so many discounts at once, because again, this has to be the most i've seen at once and after a horrendous last six months with poor decisions and patch releases I can only think less people are spending money on the game.
Comments
Could be but considering they have a monopoly on the asymmetrical games market it’s unlikely they are in a bad financial situation
They touched a new territory and audience with All Kill.
Don t worry for them, Bhvr marketting is at the top. And probably at the head of decisions / game direction.
It's the Spring Sale. Both Microsoft and Sony do this every year at Easter time. Go onto either console and you'll see hundreds of games at deep discounts.
Bhvr is a billion dollar company now,They have the only surviving asymmetrical game in the market.
No, I doubt it, they get a lot of cash grabs. They have a constant flow of new players who are willing to drop money for skins and dlcs because they are not aware of bhvr practices, before leaving the game for good. That's why they constantly have discounts for base game. And that's also the reason for visual design of the trickster - to attract people who would not be even slightly interested in this game otherwise
