AND BRING BACK HIS BUBBA BUBBA BUTT!!!!

I don't think anyone needs to hear that. I've not heard a single person praise that map...
Maybe once the pallet cluster f is fixed it'll be better but until then, the map is damn near unplayable for about 3/4 the killer roster

Yes exactly. And I do think a lot of it is intentional misunderstanding.
I'm sure some people are being willfully ignorant but I do feel there are plenty of people who just don't get why it's a big deal, even with your (and others) explanation.
-
Honestly, I imagine for some, it doesn't affect them so they don't get why it would affect others. I don't think they're intentionally misunderstanding the issue or anything, they just don't experience the FOMO issues and figure everyone else should be the same and are just making excuses for why they fail to control their own wallet.
You see this kind of thing in politics and in life all the time where someone has a different view because they've never walked a mile in someone else's shoes and therefore blow off their concerns.

Banning for doing something else aside from gens is obviously not happening.
As long as they're clearly not afking... You probably can't do much at this point.=(
Run the killer for more than 360 sec then. xD
Try to run them for 720 sec next time! That should do!
This, if for any other reason, you'd end up banning a lot of new players who are learning the game and still treating it more like a scared hiding game rather than the gen hammer simulator we all know and love today

Run Strider and Predator and that should help you greatly.
I'll give it a try, at least a few matches and see if I can figure it out with a few training wheels on before I try again without them. Or at least enough to get that easy achievement with downing people out of phase 😅
-
I could never figure out her power. I'd follow scratch marks and unphase only to find out the survivor is way over there. Or I'd unphase hearing them grunt and bleeding and somehow they were actually 20 feet ahead of me.
I'm sure it's a ME problem but I could never figure it out

If one of your teammates gets tunneled out with 3 or 4 gens up, there’s no point in playing anymore. You can find a new lobby in 2 secs as a survivor so why bother staying in the match?
The killer doesn’t care about your fun and only wants a 4k so why not let them have it while you’re in a more fun and balanced match?
What’s funny is that most killer start going easy on the survivors once they’ve tunneled someone out at 5 gens, like the remaining survivors are enjoying the match and want it to last as long as possible
Sure, there are times when maybe you DC because the killer is dominating so badly that you just want out of the match. I wouldn't DC for any of those reasons but I get why others might.
My comment was more directed for survivors who quit right away at the beginning of the match when the slightest thing goes wrong for them.

I am not here to insult or abuse I am here to state facts. Psychologist have shown that people are twice as affected by lose than gain playing on ones fear and anxiety by making things limited. This practice plays on this fear and anxiety making those Fear Of Miss Out (FOMO) by making cosmetics limited time. Its a practice that is found in games like Fortnite making loveable and recognizable characters into skins then selling them for a short period of time. It's also a tactic bullies use in school playgrounds to peer pressure you into doing things you wouldn't. It's a bully tactic companies use to yoink money out of peoples wallets. Instead of having the ability to wait to have money to buy a skin you like you are now told you have to buy it within a month at a time of year most won't have the money to do due to Christmas spending.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, I wasn't referring or implying that you would be insulting or rude. But we know that there would be plenty of people hammering the hell out of whatever poor bastard was thrown to the wolves, even if it were just a messenger like Mandy or one of the other Mods.
-
Playing the game for a long time and survivors who are not being jerks during the game
-
I'm guessing it's because, no matter whether you think this is an OK business practice or not, whoever at BHVR jumping in would likely get eaten alive.
It's clear that BHVR has made their decision. No reason for an employee to hop in and take all that abuse.
-
I actually sorta agree as I really like the snowmen but I also like to meme so...
-
I would not
But I'm sure there are plenty of people that would so I'm honestly kind of shocked they have never done anything like that. Especially given how creative you could get with some of the killer powers.

Because doing gens is boring, I love the perks that BHVR reworked, so would be nice if they made more updates to the gameplay, like what they did with the basekit unbreakable and mori, they just introduced it in ptb, it didn't made past live servers, so would be cool if they add like something new in the PTB that may not go live
If you find the core gameplay of DBD to be boring, DBD may just not be the game for you...

Olive is coming out of her shell. She's spending a lot more times upstairs (though still throughout the day, she hangs out in the basement and comes up in the late afternoon/night for some reason).
Unfortunately Holly and Olive are still figuring each other out so no good pics of the two of them being all snuggly and happy together. Olive basically hisses anytime Holly goes near her and once in a while paws at Holly. No claws or teeth or whatnot (or at least no blood or fur being found so the times when I don't see it, I assume no claws and teeth) so I'm not particularly worried about it at this time. Just hoping some time for them to figure each other out and be cool is all they need...
Also if anyone ever breaks into my house and needs Olive to hold still to get a picture, crinkle toys are evidently the silver bullet
-
I mean this in the nicest way possible but how many more ways do survivors need to be able to escape? You already have the actual game itself, doing generators and if that has gone sideways, one of you will have the chance to get the hatch. We don't need a Friday the 13th setup where your group of rowdy teenagers can kill the monster...

I have a simple rule: when you are unhooked and I interrupt the party, you are free to go.
But if you insist on staying and bodyblocking your unhooker, then you agree to stay in the game then and there, instead of getting to safety and heal up, so you will go to that hook again.
Same if you jump on a gen within seconds of getting unhooked. Basically anything that takes away OTR will also void your claim for moral protection. So, make your choice, but then don't come cringe when your actions carry consequences.
Same
Although I've been doing the fun "You F'ed up" stare where if they bodyblock me like that, I just stop moving and stare at them until the time is done (rather than hit them for their BT). I suppose it might "technically" be a bad idea since if they're running Off the Record, I just gave them a free 10 seconds where I wasn't doing anything useful but it's fun so I'm gonna keep doing it :D

There are far too many people who think that if the match isn't going perfectly for them, they should just give up and try a different match.
It's a mindset that I will never ever understand. Personally, I think the funnest games as a survivor are the games where we win or lose by a hair and you're never going to get that kind of a game if you're quitting anytime you meet the slightest bit of resistance
Unfortunately with four survivors, there's always a decent chance that one of them is going to have that mindset and all it takes is one of them quitting to virtually torpedo any chance the team may have had to do anything

They made it for The People!!!
It's me, I'm The People...
-
It's BHVR. They run on BHVR time. So you can expect it in approx 1-4 years
-
Well it's already confirmed the snowmen are coming back so a little late on that request
I imagine BHVR will have listened to feedback from last year to adjust the snowmen but we don't know what they'll look like this go around (or if they've said, I haven't seen it yet)
-
I primarily listen to rock music. Moderately heavy rock (Five Finger Death Punch or Slipknot is the heaviest I get). Currently I'm mildly obsessed with two songs/bands.
BADFLOWER (specifically "Family", especially this music video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rwsh17a9LqkTHREE DAYS GRACE (I've always been a fan of these guys since High School but I absolutely adore "So Called Life")
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ViIny2YZH0Otherwise as stated above, bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Rise Against, Slipknot, Falling in Reverse, Shinedown, Nothing More, Seether, Linkin Park, etc. In general I just like rock with some of it being light rock, punk rock, heavy rock, classic rock, etc. Really except for Screamer Rock, I'll like it if it's rock.
-
I don't mind people talking about it. People are unhappy about it and should be allowed to say their piece
That said, these situations are when I REALLY wish BHVR forums had a "one thread per topic" thing. At this moment, there are SEVEN topics about this issue on page 1 (I didn't bother to check page 2 if anything had fallen off right away)
Say your piece, good or bad, but there's no reason for everyone to start their own thread for the same argument

I finally gave up to go get her food when she pulled a lil sneaky on me

I feel you on this. I have a career now, and the fact that I have escaped the customer service crap was fantastic. Like, I actually liked working fast food but they wanted WAY too much for you for little pay. Same with my loan service job, and others. :/ At least I get paid more to deal with the BS.
I was so happy getting to leave customer service. All of my jobs prior to this one were customer facing (and even in this company, I've had four jobs and I foolishly let one of those jobs be customer service; never again).
Obviously most jobs still have some kind of a customer, even if it's an internal customer like my current job but I am going to do everything in my power to never have to work with the public ever again 😅

You got killer fat shamed!
Something goofy as H is going on right now where objects are spawning in spots they're not supposed to be spawning ((BHVR has acknowledged it so presumably they're fixing it). This sometimes results in a spot where the bigger hitbox that is the killer is too big to slip through one area but the smaller hitbox that is the survivor can.

Pff- you know they ain't gonna fix the big issues. Legit the only reason why I bother giving other ideas instead. I do wish they would do that, as well.
A man can dream! 😀

Satisfied is a strong word. Content might be a better word for it.
I'm 36 years old. I have a house (something many of my peers can't say as the housing market has royally F'ed my generation). I have an established career (I don't love my job but I don't think about driving into incoming traffic on my way to work anymore), and I finally feel like my brain is in a healthy place (I've talked a few times about it but these antianxiety pills have been a life changer for me).
Life could certainly be better and maybe now that my student loans are finally dead along with my happy pills I'll be able to actually focus on improving what I don't like about my life but life is always a work in progress. I know it's cliche but all you can do is take it one day at a time

It still exist. Nice to have choices.
It would be fine for them to do it but if BHVR came to me and said "Tippy, you clearly are the greatest player to have ever existed and also you're super sexy, we want YOU to take over DBD! Do you think we should dedicate resources to a story mode?", my first act would be obviously to nerf pig. But my second act would be to say no to the story mode and concentrate on fixing DBDs current problems rather than adding a story mode.

I'm still greatly enjoying survivor *shrugs*
-
I don't believe you. You should buy one for me so I can verify! 😇
-
I don't know if this is unpopular opinion or not but if it's the same snowmen as last year, I'm perfectly fine with that
I imagine they'll change things a bit since they've had a year since last time with many complaints about screwing over Ghosty and Twins but I just love the snowmen stuff regardless. I suppose I don't really use those two so that's easy to say for me but I love to just f around with survivors and the snowmen.
-
Were you able to catch them in a timely manner?
If not, sounds like a pretty good strategy to me
Knowing what you need to do to escape the killer and/or burning as much of the clock for your team as possible can be just as much a skill as...whatever you think takes skill for a survivor to do
-
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tafxNyNxflA
It's not a great video cause I was seeing if she would meow and she holds still when she does that so I just had it recording for if she stopped to meow
She AGGRESSIVELY demands for pets and then bites me and hisses 😅
Why won't you let me love you Olive?!?!?!?

I mean... we have bots. Besides, Fortnite of all games has a story mode thing.
And how many people actually play it? Hell, how many people even know a Fortnite story mode exists?
And with all due respect to BHVR, the multiplayer mode of DBD needs a LOT of love to fix literal broken things, let alone subjective fixes like balancing and matchmaking and whatnot.
-
I don't really see any reason why they'd put resources into a single player mode into a game that has based it's entire existence on being a multiplayer only game. If they decided to, I'd probably play it just to try it but it seems like it would be a pointless add-on to a game that really could use some love in many other places instead.
-
As a survivor, I will grab them ASAP because I want the points for the altruism. What happens to them after that is none of my concern
As a killer, it's probably one of the closest things to BM I get. If I notice someone is trying to die on the hook at five gens for no reason, I will put that person on the ground and make them bleed out. You're getting a timeout Mr Survivor, whether it's by my hand or by the DC penalty. I care not which way you choose as I've already decided your team gets to escape regardless of your choice.
-
I would not
I run the perks I like, not necessarily the most effective or best against one group or the other. The most prominent example being if all four survivors had flashlights, I still wouldn't bother putting on Lightborn
-
I'm in the Midwest of America, I generally see Survivor at 100% from 7am - 5ishpm. Once it hits 5pm, it starts to move over to killer until at least 11pm. I've never played DBD outside of those hours because I'm old and decrepit so I can't confirm myself what it looks like in the middle of the night/early morning.
