True, he's very stealthy right now for killer with a good chase power. Still if his TR was raised or hum was added some buff would be required to counterweight it.
I don't know if you would need to buff him. Huntress's hum is pretty quiet. I would assume a Slinger one would be as well.
-
I'd give him a hum radius like Huntress. Not as far as her radius. Maybe 32 meters. My only real issue is with the M&A Slingers. His already small TR with the really quiet music pretty much makes him a stealth killer.
-
I would assume because they haven't come up with a rework idea they are happy with yet.
-
They're fine as is. The only time it feels a bit unfair is end game. But the killer should have some control over this at end game.

Sorry, its 30%. Gain 10% repair speed boost for every other survivor in a 4 meter range.
Technically it's not even the full 30% the way DbD math works. Even then all it does is partially negate the negative. Which is not to say alot of the perks for killers don't suck. But honestly I'm sick of both sides whining about the other sides perks.
-
Maybe instead have a reject map vote. The killer can reject an entire real like Red Forrest. Then each survivor can reject a single map.
-
Where are you getting your numbers? Prove Thy Self does not give a 40% boost.
-
Honestly I can't help but laugh. 6 months ago people were dismissing Spine Chill as being a noob perk. Then people actually used it and realized how damn good it is. I actually stopped using it recently because I don't want to become dependent on it.
-
Detective's Hunch. Need to find a totem? It's got you. Need to plan your gens? You're covered. It's honestly ridiculously useful.

No one can hit 100% greats over 5 gens. Someone would always be looking for the totem. What killed you was it being destroyed instantly.
100% no. A high enough proportion that it had no real impact on them? Yes, alot of people could do it. Add in old toolboxes actually being useful and Ruin did nothing against competent survivors.

Maybe so but it only seems to be on killer. Survivor I'm kinda willy nilly but that's helpful, thank you.
Killer is definitely the easier role to become stressed over. You're playing alone so success or failure is on you alone. Add to that people seem to feel more competitive when they play killer and it compounds the problem. Killer only bothers me when the game is robbing me. But I used to get worked up playing killer in F13. I felt much more competitive playing that game.

Pity: the feeling of sorrow and compassion caused by the suffering and misfortunes of others.
Especially if the killer had a rough match, it's not a friendly gesture to give them a pittance of bloodpoints at the gate. Just leave so they can get another match which would hopefully go better so they can get more bloodpoints. Don't waste their time and make them walk to the gate just to chase you out. If the survivors in question wanted the killer to have fun too, they wouldn't have needed to outplay the killer hard during the match itself. The attitude of survivors is surprisingly easy to read when you're in a chase with them.
Personally I only wait at the gate if a teammate might need help and I might get some points meanwhile from healing. I leave if the match is obviously over or if I think somebody is waiting for the hatch.
I disagree that it's not a friendly gesture. At least it is on my part. Same if as killer I give hatch or the doors. It's not a pity move. It's me seeing they had a rough match and trying to keep them from being discouraged.
You're right it won't be out of kindness from everyone. But you can't assume to know their motivations. Unless of course they actually tell you after the match.
-
This game is only as stressful as you make it. As a side note I'd strongly suggest you talk to your doctor if you're getting chest pains from playing this game. It sounds like you have really high blood pressure.
-
I wish there were stats period. Like total number of games played, lifetime escape rate, things like that.

They had something that fixed this, it was called hex ruin. It's gone now. Dev's won't fix this crap, it makes their precious survivors feel powerful, which makes them more likely to buy cosmetics.
As a killer, you're replaceable by a fresh batch of killers, which is why you see rank 15 killers going against red rank survivors. Now git gud and learn to pReSSurE gEnS, or find a different game, I hear civilization v is pretty good.
Ruin never stopped gen rush. They people who had the wherewithal to gen rush could hit the skill checks. Ruin meant nothing to them.
-
@igene123 said:
Just a simple post. Can the devs do something about gen RUSHING, make it more balance or something. As a killer, it kinda discourages me when it takes a total of 14 seconds for 2 gens to be done at the start of the game.
2 14 second gens is iterally impossible.

So the one telling me I have smegma cuz I said no to hitting them out is a good person? Good to know.
People do it even when no one is hooked. When I told them to just leave in endgame chat they flat out told me they wanted protection hits and their fourth stack of WGLF. 3 Rank 4s (SWFs too), against a Rank 13 killer. Genrushed me to hell on a corn map. No one hooked by the time the gates were open, heck no one was hooked by the time the last gen was powered. Fun times. Totally want to hit them out of the gate after all that. They purposely ran through my Trails of Torment to try to get me to hit them out. They didn't care about me, they wanted extra points for themselves.
They all got more points than me.
I'm not a good killer and I know this ( I got 3 hooks that game), esp on PH who I've played only once before and was running his own perks (in a silly attempt to get adept), when I get severely outclassed I'd like them to leave so I can move on to the next game that will hopefully be more fair.
I play mostly survivor, I know not all survivors are #########, I know not all SWF are #########, but the ones that are really do stink up the place.
Yes the ones in your example were #########. I'm just saying not everyone waiting to be hot out is doing it to be a jerk. If you want the game over just hit them and move on. If you simply refuse to give them anymore points go stand in a corner and go grab a drink or a snack.
-
Unless they know that everyone is good they aren't leaving. As a side note, they aren't pity hits. If the killer had a rough game they are trying to at least get them some points. Despite the popular narrative that floods these forums not all survivors are #########. Alot of them want the killer to have fun as well. Failing that they'd at least like them to get some points for their effort.

I have 2.5k hours in dbd and i didnt know that lol, thanks bro <3
Np. It's somewhere in the mid 30's I think when Ultra rares start to show up. After that you always have one in the web. Unfortunately as survivor I've gotten a bunch of them that I'll never use.

Still that many ultra rare addons/offerings (P2 btw) is bullshit in my opinion. No matter if this is survivor or killer.
There's always 1 ultra rare guaranteed in every blood web after a certain level. This is true for every survivor and killer. It benefits killers more because they have less possible ultra rares. 3 to survivors 5.
-
If you get off the hook and I find you immediately on a gen I'm slugging you. If you are on a gen after the unhook and then run to a locker like a cheeky little ######### you die. I will throw the game to kill you then. I actively don't tunnel but if you take advantage of my trying to be fair I will be merciless.

I swear that's the 3 I get as survivor. Along with some Dead Dawg Saloon.

Favorite is Dwight's. They are usually the best team players.
Least favorite is Steve. They are usually the worst. Either being toxic or just making terrible plays.

And these are only my last 4 bloodwebs, previous webs were similar. I do not collect moris because i dont like them but i think they're too common(?)
Bubba has no Ultra rare addons. Which means he's guaranteed an Ebony Mori in every blood web. That'll change with the mid chapter patch. But even then they're still ridiculously common.
-
If you play either side exclusively or even much more than the other you'll end up heavily biased. It's just how people are. I play survivor more heavily. But I try to be mindful of the killer perspective.
Each time I play killer for a while I come away with a new perspective on this. My last run through made it clear just how big some of the maps are. And how badly they need to be shrunk.
Unfortunately many people are set in their ways. Their are main on both sides that will never change their mind. No matter what argument you make.

Not really. Over the past 6 months or so people have begun to see how good Spine Chill is.
-
It's always nice to get people who aren't jerks. As a side note I've found you can get decent practice with a killer by having a farming game. Once they understand you're wanting to farm they're pretty much always willing. It gives you the chance to play with that killers power in a relaxed manner.

I followed this with a ridiculous sabo build. I wasn't expecting escapes that day. The sabo build especially was alot of fun though.

If it wasn't so ridiculous it would be funny. They listen to the feedback and make changes to make him feel better to play and people still are ranting. I didn't agree with the Billy nerf. Quite the opposite. But I am encouraged to see they listened to the feedback. And have other tweaks in the works if they prove necessary.
-
Badly. Lol. But then I wasn't particularly trying to make it work really. Sprint Burst was fun to make the killer miss their opening hits. I also had fun trying to make my scratch marks as confusing as possible with fixated. If I remember right I died every game. But it was fun for something different to try.

Hmmmm. Well. Youve had the same meta for years. Youve been the power role. For. Years.
So you're saying they haven't released a strong survivor perk for years. And despite increasing nerfs year after year, killers still think they're the victims of systemic bias against them.

Sometimes if the killer is beelining back to the hook, and the rescuer has ran off, me calmly walking away not leaving any blood to follow has made all the difference.
The killer has started to follow the others scratch marks, doubled back, but too late, they can’t work out where I went.
In which case I can't say I'm bothered if tunnelers are having trouble tunneling.
-
Lmao. To be fair both sides are like that. We have vehemently pro killer main, and vehemently pro survivor main voices. Honestly they ######### about the same.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Yes it would.
I’m saying this as a frequent No Mither user.
When I use this perk with Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and an aura blocking perk, the killer almost never finds me. Even if I am hooked, when I’m unhooked it is ridiculously easy to disappear on the killer even if they were heading right back to the hook.
The caveat of course is that I’m 1 hit all game.
Its balanced that Lucky Break has a timer seeing as it doesn’t limit any players ability to heal back to healthy, and while injured (in conjunction with Iron Will or Off The Record) be leaving absolutely no trace of yourself for the killer to track. Unlimited use of that would be more broken than most survivors realise.
I don't feel it would be as broken as you think. Basically you're running multiple perks to make you be a healthy survivor from a tracking standpoint. If you're evading the killer that well with those perks you could do it without No Mither. From what you're saying I don't believe you'd have been found either way.
-
@anarchy753 said:
You're living in the distant past if you're calling self-care meta. I don't see anyone in the red ranks using it any more for good reason. There's better options for healing by far, and even just any other perk is usually a net gain.
I can honestly say I don't understand the hardon people have for Corrupt Intervention, and never have. It relocates the survivors away from the outer gens, which means the grouped gens near the middle get done while you're chasing survivor number one. That sets the killer up for the absolute anti-genlock, which in the case of most killers who want to buy time, really throws most of their late game potential out the window. It's a big gamble that your early game goes well enough to play down a perk AND with a poorer layout in the late game. The rare exception is spawning up one end of Azarov's or Suffocation Pit. I know I'm gonna get "BUT X, Y AND Z YOUTUBER SAID I HAVE TO USE IT" but really I'd just prefer something more consistent and tangible. Especially with the fact that 99% of games these days you can just walk to a distant gen and smack 3-4 survivors off it, injuring them all cos they all think they're invisible the second you hit one.
Plenty of them still use Selfcare. Hell I was yesterday. Granted that was because I was messing around with a perk build to see how effective it was.

just nerf cowshed and other horrible maps like that.
This guy gets it. The majority of killers issues would be, if not fixed, at least alleviated by shrinking the huge maps.
As for the OP. Virtually nobody wanted a Billy nerf. That ######### is on the devs. Not survivors. As for Deathslinger, he's annoying to face. I don't think he needs nerfed. He's certainly not op. But he is obnoxious.

If OP was gonna go for the save, he'd be abit closer than the literal furthest he could possibly be on the map. You cant get much further away from those hooks without hacking your way through the wall. Lets say your right though and OP played everything perfect and his teammates were just over-altruistic and were SO bad they put themselves on hooks... Whats the killer suppose to do from here? Exactly whats his next move suppose to be other than to look for the last person in the most likely of areas from a vantage point once their aura reading perk has failed to give them a clue? You say they should "let OP unhook" but thats (once again) LITERALLY telling them to go to the furthest corner of the map rather than nearby gens/area where ironically enough, theyd find OP, lol.
Lol. We are really just going in circles here. I say they should let them unhook if they want to maximize points yes. Also if you are correct and the other gens were all over by those hooks. And the killer knows the other survivor isn't on them. Why not check that far gen? If his goal is to ensure at least a 3k he's playing it right. If he wants more emblem and BP he's playing it wrong.

It's not that people don't understand the point, or that "killer mains are biased!!!"
It's that this isn't an example of a killer doing something wrong, or even unduly mean. Rather, it's a classic example of survivors blaming killers for their mistakes and the situations they put themselves in.
There is NO reason for the killer to leave those hooks now. Literally zero. It's not to be toxic, or "ruin their fun" at this point, it's just the most intelligent strategic choice in that situation. That goes for any killer, not just Slinger.
There is a reason actually. As I explained earlier in the thread. But in short as killer I want them to save so I can get more points. In the photo you can clearly see the killer is in no danger of losing that game. If I have that amount of control I am going to try to maximize the number of points I get.
I also, repeatedly made it clear that in the photo the Deathslinger wasn't doing anything wrong. Other than not try for more points. But that's down to your own personal goals for a game.
All I have done is try to clarify the OP's point. You can disagree with their point. They certainly didn't convey it well. But not everything is some massive anti killer conspiracy.

Here in lie the two school, camping is the “smart play,” if you’re trying to get kills I guess. But letting them get I hooked and reset is the better play for emblems, BPs and (GASP) a fun drawn out game.
Yes. I argued repeatedly that the Deathslinger should have moved off. Either they care more about kills. Or expected the last survivor to try to save.

Its additive though so the points are the same regardless.
If you burn a cake today youll get the same amount of points total if you saved them and burned it when 4 other people do.
I know. It's just a psychology thing. Personally I flatly refuse to burn anything during blood hunts. People are usually at their worst during them.

If the other survivor was already injured, then its clear which one should be the one going for the save... OP is healthy and judging by the full medkit has been staying away from the action the entire match.
Yes, but you can't keep your teammates from making misplays. The OP could have intended to make the save and an injured teammate decided to try it before they could instead. That's my point. We could sit here all day and try to say what should have been done. But without alot more information it's impossible to say.
