If I notice the killer is having a rough match I'll deliberately stop doing gens and go totem hunting. Most people just want a fun back and forth game. The problem as you pointed out is neither side can trust the other to be chill.

Forcing the last survivor to do gens is a guaranteed death, unless the killer falls asleep
I think they mean unless there is only one survivor left.
-
It used to mean killer is camping. Doesn't mean much anymore.
-
Every weekend would never happen. Once a month though would be a good addition.
-
I'd say B tier.

Body is 1 character too short.
What I'm saying is it's additive not multiplicative. If you have a 20k match you'd get 40k with the hunt. If you add a cake you'd get 60k. It doesn't double points from offerings.
-
You don't get extra value from the cakes during a blood hunt.
-
In my opinion it comes down to two things. The lack of build variety and Blights tend to be sweaty. I've noticed alot of the Blights I face are very big on tunneling.

I have a 4th anniversary offering, that's a relic like the old Haddonfield and Coldwind offerings.
Pretty sure I still have 3rd year ones.

It's better, but there are still issues.

And ill keep making more until I see them every game
I literally doesn't matter when you burn them. The blood hunt has zero effect on bp offerings.
-
Seriously? Another post begging for cakes...🙄

That map is so dumb.

because we have to deal with SWF we deserve more BP
No you don't. The Swf boogy man is ridiculously over played. The amount of legitimate seal team 6 swfs is so tiny it's ridiculous.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
survivor mains only play killer when they get delicious BP
fantastic unless they'll know playing killer sucks
Killer gives a stupid amount of BP compared to survivor. Of course more people are playing killer.

I already hated glyphs. Why not add more crap to them.

You're right. Too big of maps that allow it is the problem. You can literally waste minimum 40 seconds just by holding W
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2392224#Comment_2392224
Sure. I'll use the same trigger words that tends to get killers nerfed. What were they again ? Oh yea, it's boooooring 💤💤💤, and unfun.
Holding W is boring, but what do you expect? Bhvr released multiple antiloop killers in a row. All that left was to pre drop and run. Add to that constantly getting hit through pallets and why would survivors loop?

Well if I was actually saying that I probably would have just typed it out myself so no I don't think that's what I'm saying, What I'm actually saying is that I use it more sparingly rather than as my only strategy, and due to it being "conditional" that means its never done without reason or cause and potentially its never done at all but varies depending on the match. The main factor is just playing in response to the survivors since they control the early game but killers control the mid - late game I feel its a good compromise to play in response to how they play, their early objective play decides how they want me to play my objective. This is what I would argue is the fairest way to play while still playing to always win
This here is actually the perfect killer mindset in my opinion. As a survivor I understand using dirty tactics to regain some control. What I have noticed is they seem to be the immediate go to anymore for alot of killers.
-
All depends on what you're looking for. Personally my current mains are Doc, Pig, Wraith, and Mikey.
-
Me sitting here with year 3 cakes still...

That happens a lot. Then people wonder why I "tunnel" the only person I can find
It's like...Welp..What do you want me to do. Your partners are taking no heat.
Personally I slug them. If this is a pattern throughout the match I'll go out of my way to ensure the immersed one dies.

Agree on the legendary skin.
I don’t think DBD needs another masked guy with a machete. Trapper is basically Jason. Even down to the bear traps.
Name one movie where he uses a bear trap outside the 09 reboot. Traps are hardly a Jason thing.

What I'm Saying in Rule 8 is that overall, while it can have its tactical advantages that no one can blame you for, and while struggling on purpose in order to try and free yourself from the hook is a thing, I, and I'm sure many of you have experienced the moments wherein a survivor is hooked in the first minute or so of the game, considers it a complete loss over petty reasoning, and suicide/rage quits leaving the rest of the team with a very difficult game that will, more often than not, result in their defeat.
It's a ######### thing to do to the others in your team, and very selfish. In the circumstances wherein the game is lost whether you get rescued or not, no one can begrudge you tapping out early, but when it's your first hook, and there are still 4-5 gens left... your rescue may be the thing that wins your team the game! Of course if you suicide because you're petty and don't like that you were one of the first players hooked... that just ruins the experience for everyone else doesn't it?
I'm not saying that you should never do it, I'm just saying that if your suicide on the hook isn't advantageous for the rest of the team, you're only screwing them over by doing it, and that's as much a show of poor sportsmanship as if you had DC'd.
Can we at least agree on that? Should I have worded Rule 8 differently?
If I'm doing this it's because my team is playing super scared. Nothing will get to me as much as me hanging there watching the cowards urban evade around the map. At that point I don't care how the game goes for them.
-
I disagree with number 8. Or at least how you characterize hook suicide as rage quitting. More often than not it's not rage. It's they know the game is over and just want to move onto the next game.

All of which can apply to killers that aren't the punching bag of the forums like Nurse. Heck, the only times Trickster really lacks counterplay is low wall loops, where Huntress also lacks counterplay. In fact, his power is less applicable than Huntress. For instance, shack is borderline unplayable against Huntress, but can be used to run Trickster for a longer time than typical for a killer. This alone means that the Legion comparison is a massive exaggeration. Legion literally follows the survivor no matter where they go faster than the survivors. This is hardly comparable to Trickster.
Bruh what? You might want to talk to your avatar about that then.
As for Trickster, I can't speak to how he feels to play (I don't own him). I can say that he is no fun to face off against.
-
I've had it with killers a few times today. That and icons keep changing. I searched a chest it showed a purple med kit then I switch to a key.
-
Maybe I can stop seeing that travesty of a killer then.
-
No. No Way Out is already going to be obnoxious as is. Not to mention the last person alive will never open the gate if it's being ran. You want to add 40 more seconds to that? You may as well auto kill the last survivor if hatch is stomped.

That's too bad then.
At release it made sense, everyone wanted to be Jason.
-
@Boss said:
F13 still doesn't allow you to just pick Killer, right?
That restriction alone is enough to have me say no.
You can do so in private matches. But no, not in public ones. You can select a preference which gives you a better chance. Also so people like me got bored of playing Jason and would only play counselor.

What makes console players so fundamentally different from PC players that they kept playing F13th?
From what I saw people left DbD for F13 and when they found it was extremely buggy they jumped right back to DbD. DbD also attracts a more competitive playerbase. At least I can say that nobody took the game too seriously.
-
@lucid4444 said:
Jason can literally teleport to you and insta kill you, without you being able to do anything. And you say that's balanced, more than DBD where everyone complains about spirit? lol
F13 is only good for role playing or messing around because of the local mic comms.
If you didn't know how to play this was true.
-
@Orion said:
F13th was dying long before the lawsuit, please don't spread that myth. Most people who played F13th did not like it, that's just how it is.
No, most people on PC stopped playing it. Console had a thriving community.

It's better. Still some issues, but nowhere near as bad.

Possibly. But the entitled attitude I got from some annoyed me. If you don't have the answer right away, why bother commenting with a sarcastic tone instead of just moving on?
Also someone assuming that I was able to play immediately even though I said I was working and unable to see what it's like. That was weird.
Fair enough.

People are ######### staring at me saying "impossible for the update to be done" IT'S NOT IF IT'S SINGULAIR DIGITS LMFAO
To be fair I think it was more the downloaded and played a game in 8 minutes part. My old PS4 is done, now I'm waiting on my Pro. It's going faster, but with the file copying it will still take 15 minutes.
-
I imagine it's a bug. Before this patch I noticed killer terror radius seemed way off to me.

Mine always does that after every update.

Yeah, I have really good internet
But I have people telling me that it's impossible.
I thought everyone had 4 Gigs
The download took about 10 minutes for me. The copying of the files took twice that. So I had to wait half an hour.

Interesting, ps4 is like 4 or 5, so I improperly assumed it was the same for everyone and had a swarm.
My update is probably already done, but I can't test it cause I'm working
It's 4.8 gigs on PS4, so if you have decent internet It's done.
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
I'm downloading it right now, but it spends almost 20 minutes just copying the files...
Right. Downloads in 10 minutes, takes another 20 to copy.

There's no agreement to be had, you're literally breaking game rules by purposely not playing the game normally. You are in the wrong.
If you drop out in the loading screen you are not breaking any rules.

And one can argue the same against anyone for any reason. I can tell you you're "deliberately trying to make me miserable" because you play killer X Y Z, who I hate. That doesn't mean I get free reign to just go afk or dc.
I'm not going to continue arguing this. We clearly aren't going to agree.
@JHondo said:

Actually nobody knows if the vast majority hate this map. All I've seen is a handful of the same people on here, which is no way a majority of players playing this game, complaining about a map that has had very little rotation because of bugs that cause crashes. I played a lot of survivor on the PTB almost exclusively on RPD and enjoyed it and didn't escape every time. Since the chapter went live I've only gotten to play on it twice; once as Deathslinger while trying to do a daily and got partially wrecked but still finished the daily, and the other time as survivor against a laggy huntress hitting me well around corners so I gave up on 2nd hook because of the killer, not the map.
The response has been overwhelmingly negative with a handful of positive comments. Can it be said to be hated definitively? No, but we can make a reasonable assumption based on the feedback.
-
Peace. I haven't loaded yet, but I'm not looking forward to it.

How there is difference? You don't like RPD map and leaving. And i don't like Spirit and leaving. Which part is different? Spirit player forcing me to play against her? Maybe i don't wanna play never ever against Spirit? Which part is different?
The killer you get is random luck of the draw for you. Map offerings are a deliberate choice.
-
@scenekiller said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2386040#Comment_2386040
No, there is no difference. "Thems the breaks" applies to any game you play with other people. Play the game normally or don't play at all.
It's like a 4 man swf taking the killer to Haddonfield. You are deliberately trying to make others miserable. Or at the least have no consideration for your fellow players. So yes, there is a difference.

Okey then, never add penalty times again? When i see Spirit i will dc. Another guy will dc because of Wraith. Another guy will dc because survivors finished gens so fast. Other guy will dc because survivors were good at loop etc. This map will stay and it is not bad like people crying about.
@scenekiller said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2386003#Comment_2386003
Why is it ok for some people to be forced to play against something they hate, but not others?
I see people all the time saying "you're not gonna like every match/killer/map, just deal with it and move on to the next game", so why does that not apply here?
There is a difference between random chance giving you something you dislike and other players actively forcing it on you. Random chance gives you a bad map or killer you dislike, hey thems the breaks. Others going out of their way to play things they know are almost unanimously hated is different.
