When someone say's a certain killer is unplayable on console (e.g Huntress). Take it with a grain of salt, it's likely bullshit.

Huntress and Nurse are definitely playable and strong killers. But they are hard to learn and not many people care to put in the time. Both get bullied really hard if you don't know what you are doing which discourages most people from trying.

On Xbox most games are Freddy, GF, Myers, Bubba, Wraith, Trapper. I play Freddy myself, he is probably the most dominate killer right now. Everyone is doing TrueTalents GF build, it's honestly kind of annoying that's ALL you ever get. Trapper is popular at high ranks especially because of the Rift. Lots of Legions too, but after playing Legion I see why (EZ to get pips and BP). Don't see many Spirits now after the update because she was bugged for a while.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

The sensitivity is so #########. It's literally what turns an otherwise good killer into a laughing stock for survivors. They can 360 so easily and it's so effective. I want to play survivor more, I really do. But I'd rather sit a minute or two between killer games and face the bull ######### than to wait 6 minutes to get an awful team.

I don't get this. I set my sensitivity to 100 and I have no problem spinning my camera to hit 360's. The only time I whiff is when there is a frame drop just as you swing, which happens a lot with bloodlust.

Also playing Nurse is difficult but not impossible. I'm a pretty decent Nurse. I know several players that are Nurse mains and they can dominate almost any team. She takes more practice on console but is still definitely the strongest killer if in the right hands.

  • @TAG said:

Had someone try something like this on me earlier. Did not go well for them.

At some pallets it's a bad idea.

  • Stepping in a trap you watch the Trapper place.

I've seen this more than I wish I would have.

  • Xbox rank 1.

Wait time for killer is like 2 minutes at most. Survivor is maybe 5-10 minutes, solo or SWF.

Yes, majority of your games are against SWF but not all of them are good players. Only the red rank SWF are really good. I've had purple rank SWF try to bully me and it just ended badly for them.

Frame rate is fine for the most part it just hitches/drops frames sometimes. Usually when you get bloodlust there is a big frame drop. If you play Hag or Doc you get a lot of frame drops. It's playable, but it does get annoying after a while.

  • @Cornpopers_Evan said:

I kinda want to give this a try but I've got a feeling it it'll blow right up in my face.

The worst that happens is the killer breaks the pallet right away. It's a pretty safe trick. Just once you see them break a pallet right away you have to set it up so they see you try to reset the pallet, which is why I do it right after I stun them because I want them to think I'm going to reset it. If you don't stun them they all just break the pallet immediately.

  • @Groxiverde said:

I don't understand. Why would a killer stay on the other side of the pallet looking at you instead of breaking the pallet or trying to mindgame you for a hit. Really I can't understand, is there something I'm missing?

They half expect you to raise it in their face so they can hit you.

I wish I clipped it but I had a GF watching me do this for like 20 seconds before deciding to try and mind game it.

  • @Mr_K said:

As a killer, why would I wait? The moment you pick it up you could throw it down again. Better to break it.

You can force the killer to break unsafe pallets though.

Also if they wait you can do it usually 2-3 times before they break it so you make them waste like 5 seconds.

  • @doitagain_ said:

The killer can just break the pallet at any time though even if you’re interacting with it. Looks like Myers was stalking you in that clip.

At this point in the game he had max stalk on me. Maybe he tried but he didn't get anything.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

I tried that and most killers just broke the pallet sadly.

Yea some killers just break it right away. But if you stun them you can do 50% of the action and that usually baits them to wait a moment. And if you drop in less that safe pallet sometimes they will try to mind game and then you can use AMN to force them to waste time breaking the pallet.

To be fair, I think we play against the same Survivors, I doubt I would be able to do anything with Legion against that one team you were matched with when I played you last.

Kills no. BP and pips, yes definitely. But against teams like this the only chance most killers stand is with Ebony mori. Like even good Spirits don't kill all of us, usually at most 2.

  • Guys I've been playing rank 1 killer for over a year now. I know the difference between good survivors and bad survivors. I even acknowledge I had a 3e against good survivors. I could have have a 3k but I messed up at one point and got greedy for the Agi achievement and it cost me.

Like I know how to play killer and I find Legion incredibly easy to pip, earn BP, and kill compared to other killers.

  • @FJSJ_Lunar said:

    He's fun

    He can work

But if a surv gets you in a good loop and is injured, you can't do anything but try to out mind game them. You gotta hope they make a mistake. You cant use your power for downs and the stun at the end of frenzy is nutty. You're like dsing yourself everytime lol

They need to make deep wounds actually something to worry about. Know what good survs do the second you get them in frenzy? Mend. Right there. Not a whole lot of slowdown.

Reduce the CD for coming out if frenzy and he will be almost perfect.

Maybe make his frenzy hits go back to being basic attacks to stbfl and sloppy will apply again, but yeah

Dude just hit them with Frenzy and go find someone else you can catch. That's all I did if someone tried to do this to me and it works.

  • @FJSJ_Lunar said:

You're telling people with over 1000 hours on legion they're doing it wrong

    Okay dudeeeeeeeee

Well then what's your problem? If you're doing it the way I'm doing it this is like easy mode, sorry to say. If you are complaining about it you have to be doing something wrong.

Like it just doesn't make sense.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

They're not that bad. There are definitely worse killers on the roster. You essentially get the same level of tracking as you get with Doctor plus a free first hit in chases. People really sleep on the tracking aspect of Feral Frenzy. I rarely have games where I 2 hook everyone for no reason because I don't have an issue finding optimal targets with Legion.

Yea this why I was using KI range add-ons, for better tracking. It basically replaces the need for tracking perks. BBQ was more for the BP boost than for tracking. I had M&A so that I could sneak up on them during Frenzy and get the hit to move on to the next. Shadowborn I just kinda like and I was using it to stop the FOV shift of M&A. Once I get Stridor I feel my build will be complete because then I could track by sound whoring too.

In all honesty, the only reason I play Legion is because of Julie.

But yeah, Legion isn't as bad as some people say.

Yes I am a Julie player too. I just got the DoD skin and wanted to flex LOL

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

Legion isn't that bad at all indeed

The thing is that most people see viable as being able to 4k even the best survivors

While that's not needed to pip

Yea but like... honestly not even Spirit can 4k against the best survivors. When you get a 4 man SWF with good survivors literally no killer can go against that unless they have an Ebony IMO. So why is that the bar that must be met? Is it really a big deal you didn't kill everyone?

If I play Legion like it's a 1v4 and just spread the damage THAT MUCH I pretty much secure a safety pip every time at least. Even if I don't get a kill. Plus I'm getting AT LEAST 25k BP assuming I got a few hooks and broke a few pallets at least.

It just seems really unrealistic and illogical to make that the point of viability when I can go full bot mode with this killer and basically never derank.

  • 1) Oni is kind of like a Berserker?

    2) A real Berserker would kill survivors just from touching them LOL.

    3) Cole Train is too good to be a survivor. He'd kick the ish outta most killers IRL

  • I want to see a killer that can make like AI clones of themselves. Just imagine having more than 1 killer on the map. Then the mind game becomes the REAL killer acts like the AI to trick you (since the AI will probably be very simple and easy to trick).

If anyone's every played Halo Reach and used the Hologram ability you know what I'm talking about. For those that don't, Hologram would make a copy of your character and walk in a straight line from where you pressed the button. One trick people would do, if there were say behind a pillar, would be send out the Hologram in one direction while you walk in a straight line in another direction. The enemy wouldn't know which is which and you can get a free shot off first or sometimes escape a bad situation.

Another example is a game called Spy Party. It's where one player is a sniper tasked to killer the other player that is a spy. The spy is at a party filled with other AI. If you are the spy you need to do some mission to win, but you need to basically act like the AI so the sniper doesn't know which one is you. It's a fun concept and I'd like to see it in DBD. Of course, the AI should be lethal/dangerous in some way so it's not just "oh I don't care if it's not the REAL killer", and the point isn't to have a killer act like AI, just something fun you could do as killer if there was some AI clone you could make of yourself.

  • Third Seal is low key pretty strong. Once you get 4 stacks you can start slugging and snowball really hard. The catch is obviously it is a totem. If it weren't a totem and time based instead I would say it could potentially be meta.

I second this. I'm able to run games like COD: MW at 60 fps just fine (as well as Apex, Minecraft, Destiny, Overwatch, State of Decay 2, etc.) But Dead by Daylight runs at MAYBE 30-40 fps. It's insane.

Yea if Gears 4 can run at a butter smooth 60 fps 1080p surely DBD can.

The only time I'll prioritise healing you is if we're playing against an Oni, but only if he doesn't have Yamaoka's Wrath active. If we're against a T3 Myers or Haunted Ground is active or you're exposed for some other reason, or if you have an active RBT on your head, I won't even consider it usually, because it's a waste of my time and yours.

I don't know what you've been through and what makes you think this is the right time to heal, sure, but you don't know what my plans are for this generator, or what perks I have that might be giving me information about what's going on elsewhere. And I cannot assume that you know the game better or have better judgement than I do, especially with matchmaking the way it is.

Usually I'll 99 the gen and then heal you, so if the killer comes at least we can pop the gen right away. Maybe I really want to get this generator done because I have a key, and I'd like to spend the next 16 seconds working towards escaping. Or maybe it's the last generator and I want to activate my Adrenaline. There are so many variables that you might not be privvy to, so as much as others perhaps shouldn't assume that they know best about when healing is appropriate, the same applies equally to you.

The only time you should prioritize healing someone is if they are on death hook and there is no Exposed in play. Otherwise priority should always be gens.

I might heal someone if they have an RBT on their head depending on the situation. Usually you can get off the heal and they can do all the boxes if the timer just started. But yea if your timer is like 50% I'm not wasting my time because you'll be dead anyway.

I'm a Xbox player and Killer main. The last rank resets I was a 12 green and every game I played since has been red ranks and purples. I just recently got up to rank 5 and now All I get is red rank 1s 2s 3s with SWF . Red rank survivors are salty people and I get nothing but hate message.

I had to push through many games trying to keep my cool and not go insane. I don't like to complain but I can understand why many Killers just quit the game.

I played 5 games in a row with SWF with keys and gen the rushing.I stopped using ruin because it useless against red ranks who just gen tap. I get into one chase just for 2 gens to go off right now away. Some games I had to play dirty so I wouldn't getting 4 maned hatched. That a sucking feeling as a killer.

I don't mind SWF but they just need to be more respectful and not so toxic. Maybe there would be more killers on console. I watch mixer and notice most of the xbox streamers are survivors mains.I think we only like killer mains that stream on mixer. Correct me if I'm wrong. That kinda shows the picture on how many Killers play on Xbox.

I know a lot of the top red rank survivors on Xbox and I can tell you we don't gen tap, we can just do great skill checks. I've literally seen like 2 survivors gen tapping at red/purple ranks in the past 3 months, as either survivor or killer. Gen tapping is slow. If you see gens pop at normalish speeds I guarantee it's just because we can do gens through Ruin.

Also you don't see as many killers streaming on Mixer because stream sniping is a real thing. I have a friend that streams regularly at rank 1 and he gets sniped at least once a session. We know because most people's Mixer is the same as their Xbox GT and you see them show up in the chatters list before the game starts.

  • 1) Thank you for saying console is mostly SWF. I've had this discussion with @ScottJund and he doesn't seem to want to believe me when I say this. On Xbox at red ranks literally every game is 3 or 4 man SWF. Though recently (since Oni update) I've been getting a lot more solos but I think that's because matchmaking for survivor is ######### up right now. Once they fix it things will go back to normal.

    2) While it sucks, I disagree that the game should be balanced around SWF. Instead we need limits on SWF. One instance of a perk among the group (if you are solo this rule is ignored). Maybe tweak the RNG to favor killers. Also killers should get some incentive to take the match AND not DC (eg. extra emblem points, extra BP, protection against loss of add-ons if the rank discrepancy is too great, etc.). Technically speaking you can win against most SWF groups most of the time, it just requires you play like an absolute jerk or use super overpowered builds/add-ons/mori.

@Tr0g "A killer shortage is a fact, otherwise this large difference in queue times wouldn't exist." This might be happening, but from what we heard on the dev stream it seems to be an issue with matchmaking. I guess we will find out in the next update.

On the one hand, that would be awesome! On the other hand, I vaguely recall the devs saying we'll never see the Entity as a killer. Also, I don't think the Entity is the sort of thing that reproduces (despite what some questionable fanart might have you believe)

If we ever get a spider-like killer it should be the Entity. I imagine she would look like some sort of Lovecraftian spider creature, given the spider-like legs you see on hooks and gens.

Now that Last Year has an actual spider killer, there is a greater chance DBD will get one just to one-up them.

Also, since she is a Lovecraftian creature anyway... they don't reproduce sexually either. Anything that spawns from another being is usually like a tumor or some kind of mass that just kinda fell off the thing and became its own thing. I'm sure the Entity could "reproduce" in the same way.

You are confusing some fundamental things here. Like everything else, "broken" is relative. SWF is broken not because of it's nature, but because its nature gives advantages to SWF and makes it so much more powerful against killers. If you buff killers to compensate those advantages that SWF gives to its members, SWF suddenly becomes not broken anymore. That's why everyone is talking about buffing solo and killers to the level of SWF. Also, that's the only way for killers to be buffed against SWF, because unless solo is buffed DEVs won't buff killers, otherwise solo would be in an even worse state than now. Solo q and killers are in the same board here. It has nothing to do with "rocket lauchers" in Halo...

I don't know why this simple idea is so hard to grasp for some people, really. Some people have too many phobias.

You fail to understand the analogy.

If one player starts with RL in Halo, that's unarguably broken because it's unfair.

If everyone starts with a RL in Halo, it's not broken in a fairness sense because everyone has one, but it is broken in the sense that it changes fundamental design of the game. Core mechanics like shields, aiming, positioning, etc. become irrelevant.

It is the same thing here. If we buff solos and then buff killers it's like giving everyone a RL in Halo. In theory, it's balanced but the core game is going to be so different they might as well as made DBD2. Skill becomes irrelevant because any small mistake will be met with excessive punishments. Everything will be much much harder to counter. Tactics go out the window in favor of brute force.

Again just imagine every killer being as strong or stronger than pre-rework Nurse. That's basically going to be the situation. Every killer will be able to end a chase in less than 30 seconds almost guaranteed, and survivors will play so optimally if you somehow fail to meet that threshold as killer you will definitely lose with no ability to recover.

Explain how this is beneficial or fun for anyone?

Restrict SWF. That makes way more sense then gutting the game's already delicate balance to replace it with something that has not been tested. Again, the devs might as well just give us DBD2 if they are going to change that much about the game.

Your power creep point is nonsense to me. You buff solo to SWF level. You buff killers accordingly. DONE. No more buffing and nerfing (besides the tweaking and optimising). Done done done done. There is no power creep. You want to see a power creep where actually just balancing has to happen first.

Yea but that's not how that works. Power creep is when you buff things to the point it breaks the game. SWF breaks the game, therefore you are saying we should break the REST of the game so that it doesn't matter SWF breaks the game.

Like imagine every killer being at pre-rework Nurse levels or better. With the already above 60% kill rate we have now (in some cases as high as 75%). You REALLY want this to be the game? I certainly don't.

You are seriously over-simplifying how "balanced" the game would be at this point. We have a balanced game now. Killer V solos is balanced pretty well. You're asking the devs to toss all that and come up with an entirely new balance point. Things don't work like that. You just destroy the core design of the game.

Again imagine Halo where everyone starts with a Rocket Launcer. In theory that's balanced but in practice it's crap. Skill is irrelevant, everyone is both a God and a noob. It's fun in small doses as a meme side-mode but as the primary mode it's just a totally different game.

You guys have little understanding of how game design actually works.

  • By opening the gates, you let the killer gain pressure on you. If he has someone hooked it's going to be more risky, since if someone makes a trade you have less and less time to save. I've had to leave survivors to die on the hook because someone opened the gates and there would just be no time to save them and run out the door.

If you leave the gate 99 the killer has nothing to pressure you with. If someone is on the hook you have the entirety of whatever phases are left to save them, get them away from the killer, heal them, etc. If the killer has NOED now you have to find a totem AND make a save in a set time frame.

The only time you want to open the door early is if someone is already dead and there won't be a survivor to help body block, or the gate is really close to the hook so you can just run right out.

I never said it was balanced now, im saying through nerfs and buffs from all sides it has become MORE BALANCED then its ever been, but nobody, NOBODY, would contest that SWF gives a MASSIVE advantage over Solo.

Balancing for Solo means killers are near helpless against a proper SWF team, which is true now. bringing solo and SWF more together, provides better means to balance the game further.

I really just keep repeating myself here, I dont even understand how this is a debate, to me what im saying is just simple logic and you are fearmongering and talking in hyperbole.

    Reinventing the wheel?

you can't make SWF and solos the same? if you did it just breaks the game?

Period end of story. You can't compensate without ruining the game.?

Like, what arguments do you have, explain these convictions.

I already said in my previous post with examples that the process of bringing them closer together has already started and has been received well so why would any next step towards this goal suddenly completely break the game...

and incentives to play, idk, maybe its me, if a game I know im just going to get bullied and not going to ackomplish anything but have someone T-bag in my face but hey...atleast I get some points and keep my offerings.... yeah idk but ill rather just play a normal game thank you very much.

I've explain it several times at this point.

The game is relatively balanced for solo play. What you are asking is for the devs to purposely BREAK that balance to make solos better and then buff killers to compensate, which just leads to power creep, which means that the game just becomes a mess of overpowered BS VS overpowered BS. We want to move AWAY from that, not towards it.

It's really not hard to understand. There is absolutely ZERO need to make Kindred base kit. You don't need it as a solo player, and it's way too powerful to just be given to players.

Fact is you are not making the game better by just buffing everything. It makes more sense to restrict SWF since that's where the problem actually lies.

    Likewise 🙄

You guys want another good example of how power creep can ruin a game? Look at Gears of War.

Lancer and Gnasher in Gears 1 were weak. They excelled at very specific tasks (Lancer at range cover-to-cover fights, Gnasher at close range gladiator style fights) and the game worked at all levels.

But people complained they should be buffed because they kept trying to use the weapons outside of their intended purpose.

Skip to Gears 3 and the devs buffed these weapons so much that they are basically one-size-fits all weapons. You could use a Gnasher all game and NEVER need to use a Lancer, and vice versa. While for the low tier players this might have been a good thing because they feel like more effective players, it completely ######### top tier play. The weapons were so strong that, in the hands of an experienced player, it meant exposing yourself even for a moment was near instant death in 1v1, and guaranteed insta-death in team fights. It led to tournament matches where teams just set up on opposite sides of the map and poke at each other, waiting for the last 45 seconds to push for the power weapons so that if they failed they could have a guy stay back to force a stalemate. It was absolutely awful. And unnecessary.

The weapons in Gears 1 were just fine as they were. Maybe they needed some ways to ease new players into the experience (especially when you consider that there are people that have been playing the game since 2006), but making them stronger was NOT the solution. It created a divide, and in Gears 4 the devs were unable to reconcile these two very VERY different versions of the game, so we ended up with two tunings, core and competitive. Core was based on Gears 3 while competitive was based on Gears 1. Then in Gears 5 they threw out both of them for a hybrid that was even worse. Sure people still play the game today, but it's not the same game. Gears 1, Gears 3, and Gears 5 are all very different games. They may share the name Gears of War and the same basic mechanics, but in terms of how they play they aren't even close to being the same. All because a group of players insisted the weapons be stronger, which lead to a power creep and then high tier play suffered because of it.

The goal should not be "buff everything until it's all even". The goal should be "don't touch what isn't broken, and find ways to fix what is".

And PS. it really doesn't matter what you guys say, because the devs understand the situation as I describe it. Kindred is OP in base kit. You're not going to convince them of anything because they know what will happen to the game if it were. That being power creep and the inevitable re-inventing of the wheel.

  • I'm pretty sure Umbra is a cat that learned to talk and play DBD.

  • @ZoneDymo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/940413#Comment_940413

"In DBD you get power creep when you try to buff solos to the level of SWF. Now you have to buff killers, which then leads to buffing survivors, which then leads to buffing killers, ad infinitum."

See this is just not a statement you can make, the game has been getting nerfs and buffs over the years and long time players all agree that right now is the most balanced the game has ever been, and while not perfect its a lot better then before.

There is a huge discrepency between SWF and Solo, the killer faces both equally so right now its either a unfair match or a fair match based soley on that, the more SWF and Solo are the same, the more a proper balance between killers and survivors can be made.

That is just the entire point.

"You're basically asking the devs to throw out everything just to make solos as good as SWF."

ERmm... no? what am I asking them to throw out? what is this "everything"?

And boosts based on SWF, now that is going to be a complete minefield of balance, what if there are 3 SWF players and 1 solo, different boost?, 2 SWF and 2 Solo, different boost again?

1 of the 3 SWF's dies, now its just 2 SWF's and 1 solo, does the boost dynamically reduce?

Honestly trying to balance for that is a far harder if not impossible job.

"There is a huge discrepency between SWF and Solo, the killer faces both equally so right now its either a unfair match or a fair match based soley on that"

Which is why you can't just boost solo survivors to SWF and then buff killers to compensate. If the game is balanced NOW in killer V solos, you are asking the devs to throw out the current balance of the game for a new one. That's like asking them to reinvent the wheel. It just makes way more sense to restrict SWF so they aren't as unfair. The fact is you can't make SWF and solos the same, and if you did it just breaks the game. Period end of story. You can't compensate without ruining the game.

Also by boosts I mean incentive to take the match. BP bonus, maybe emblem bonuses so it's not an automatic depip. Maybe you get to keep your add-ons. Stuff like that. I'm not saying make the killer stronger.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/940388#Comment_940388

well this is very off topic now, I merely point out that power creep is developers releasing new content that is stronger then old/existing content to entice players to get it.

If that constandly happens (like in warframe) old gear gets more and more pointless, and powercreep in general is just cheap design, its like jump scares for a horror movie.

Im merely saying that what happens in BL2 as you described is and isnt power creep, because powercreep means ... everything, not just damage output.

If in Borderlands 2 you get 1 shot and they get 1 shot, then clearly the health/armor/shields etc have not undergone powercreep.

What in borderlands 2 si happening, as you described is not the same as in warframe, in warframe everything suffers from powercreep.

It's not off topic it's very relevant to the discussion.

The problem with power creep is that it fundamentally changes the game. Borderlands 2 changes from a game of dynamic builds with unique gear combinations to stuff that abuses glitches and health gating. Like there is literally no other way to play the game at OP10. There are maybe 20 pieces of gear that are viable, with another 10 being potentially viable with specific characters. And at least 5 pieces of gear are mandatory (eg. Sham, Antagonist, DPUH, Magic Missile, Grog). One shotting enemies while being one shot does not make the game better. It's just turns into a ######### show, and yes it is power creep because the games balance is thrown out the window. Like, in Halo if everyone started with Rocket Launchers in theory it's balanced because it's equal, but in practice it's not balanced because skill is irrelevant. You could be the best Halo player in the world and still die to a complete noob because there is no room for error, and no human can ever play perfectly.

In DBD you get power creep when you try to buff solos to the level of SWF. Now you have to buff killers, which then leads to buffing survivors, which then leads to buffing killers, ad infinitum. With the game being asymmetrical perfect balance is not easy. The current state of the game, killers V solos, is actually pretty well balanced. You're basically asking the devs to throw out everything just to make solos as good as SWF. It makes 1000x more sense to nerf SWF in some manner, probably by putting some restrictions (or conversely giving the killer a boost) as it's easier to implement without destroying the delicate balance we already have.

well yeah and its "power creep (uncountable)

    1. (collectible games, video games, role-playing games) The situation where updates to a game introduce more powerful units or abilities, leaving the older ones underpowered.

which is more what I described then you did.

Powercreep does not perse lead to 1 shot scenarios as shields and armor etc can also powercreep to insane levels compared to the shields from then the game was released.

Updating the game and releasing new content is basically the same thing when we talk about power creep.

Again just look at Borderlands 2 OP levels. THAT is what power creep looks like.

Ok maybe you and I do have a different definition of power creep :P

Powercreep is that an enemy has 10 HP, your weapon does 5 D, now a new weapon comes out that the players must want so it does 15 D, it 1 shots all the enemies. Now we need some challenge back so we introduce new enemies that now have 30 HP, now those original weapons are weak so they should be buffed.

Its just a silly endless numbers game were the only solution is to nerf it all back to "normal" and then rebalance.

Yes I agree kindred gives more clear info then SWF communicating, but SWF communicating gives WAAAAAY more info then not having it.

So again, we are not really saying kindred should be basekit, but some more subtle variation of it should be.

Someone suggested that maybe you see the hooked person emminating an aura that indicated if the killer is close or not, not where they are, just that they are close, and maybe you only see periodically where survivors are so you can see if anyone is going for the unhook so you can just stay on the gen.

Power creep is an actual term. It's not my definition, it's THE definition.

  • This has been happening since the Oni update. It has to be a bug.

Overrated: Ironically enough to me its Dead Hard even though i use this perk myself lol Killers can easily wait out the dead hard thats what i usually do but its good dont get me wrong.

Underrated: Open handed, this is super good with bond or kindred.

Oh mind if I also ask you too for your survivor build as well? Just like asking people for their builds lol

Spine Chill, Iron Will, Adren, BT is my primary build.

I dont need to google it, I play Warframe a lot, im very intimately familiar with power creep.

Now you tell me how that applies here.

Im with you to some extent though, I for example find it super lame survivors get all these notifications now-a-days, like... most of them.... is that not just the skill/experience with the game? if someone goes down after the last gen is done and they were full health....well gee what could be going on there? thats just weird and not really so much pulling SWF and Solo together, I mean yeah SWF has an advantage there but Solo's if they know how the game works and pay attention will have the same knowledge.

But for this kindred thing, just something like it, we are not saying to just make kindred basekit, as some people suggested it could be a more subtle form of it, but its essential ot make SWF and Solo the same AND THEN, we can balance the game more for the killers now that survivors all have this info (instead of just the SWF players).

    1) I don't think that's power creep. Power creep is basically when you start buffing stuff to the point it becomes ridiculous. That's what would happen if you made Kindred base kit and then buff killers accordingly. It would just lead to everything being ridiculously strong on both sides. You end up with a game where both sides are so powerful any small mistake will be a loss. This is what power creep eventually leads to. What you are talking about with Warframe is power fantasy, where the character is crazy powerful and can do all these amazing things. But you're not getting to a point where it becomes stupid. If you want to see what power creep looks like look no further than OP levels in Borderlands 2. The power creep in that game is real. While players have all kinds of stupidly overpowered builds at their disposal, the enemies are just as ridiculous. It's the point where you literally cannot kill something without abusing slag, health gates, weapon swap glitches, and broken scaling of certain abilities. Every enemy, even the smallest weakest ones, can one shot you to 1 HP (due to health gate). It's the entire reason OP levels were ditched for Borderlands 3 and why that game is just so much better end game (lack of content aside).

    2) I was using Kindred on my alt account last night and it gives you an INSANE amount of information. Like way way too much to give someone at base kit. It's fine as a perk. Making it base kit would be serious overkill.

    3) You can play solo just fine without Kindred. It's not necessary at all. You say it's to make up for the fact that SWF have this information, which is not true. Even highly coordinated SWF don't know every little detail about what other survivors or the killer are doing. Saying "I'm near the hook" is not the same as actually showing everyone where that person is. There is such a thing as miscommunication, which becomes non-existent when aura reads are in play.

    There’s plenty of penalty.

They’re one hit, can’t hide, and spread infection to others that aren’t infected.

The whole “she can be looped” argument is nonsense because a decent Plague won’t fall for those kinds of shenanigans. Bide time, create pallet dead zones, abandon time wasting chases. It’s pretty easy to down the over confident ones on/around gens.

She has no map pressure though. Survivors don't cleanse and then her power does nothing to slow them down.

  • I just need to do the killer challenges but I hate the ones that make you use certain perks so I've been avoiding them. Also the Trapper challenges in the last 2 levels are a pain to do. I'm almost near the end of the rift I'm sure I can get there without doing them.

  • The only things I think they should do are add some penalty for being fully sick that isn't a debuff and add a counter to show how many fountains are clean/corrupt (so it would show as 3/5 for example).

  • You can safety pip and keep your rank. I do think there should be 1 pip though, just because it's dumb to derank from a single bad game. Sometimes it's beyond your control.

  • I was trying to depip on my alt to get back to rank 5 before I put it on the shelf until rank reset. I decided to pick Legion with BBQ 2, Distressing, Beast Of Prey and Mad Grit for memes. I played normal at first and hooked 3 of them, then spent the rest of the game just hitting them with Frenzy occasionally picking one up to carry around for fun. Let them all go.

Ended the game with iri Chaser and iri Malicious LOL. And it wasn't even just barely, I got iri plus another silver in terms of the points I earned. Got Gold Gatekeeper too because they took their sweet time doing gens, guess I meme'd too hard. So I got a safety pip.

So the fact I can basically not try and get better Malicious/Chaser with a killer that is designed to get more hits kinda suggests that maybe they need to take a look at emblems. It does suck that any killer with a one shot is punished.

  • All I want is a consistent 60 FPS on Xbox. But frame rates get worse each update.

We need another game health update.

Idk.. if the survivor even gets one loop off (max) they’re getting hit regardless unless they have a (really) good use of DH. Maybe in a situation where the killer spots the survivor further away and engages at a decent distance that would allow the survivor to pull that off? Maybe. It is good to hide your blood though for sure! Better have Iron will to go with it.

Well there are lockers there so you could go for a locker fake, or even actually get in a locker. Since there are 4 you have a 25% chance of the killer picking the right one. Once they search the wrong one jump out and run to the next tile. It's a gamble but I've managed to juke killers in that room many times. But then many times they just didn't fall for it and kept on me.

Does have that enlarged T/L wall, jungle gym window and the frozen meat room window. I disagree with the pallets. There’s only the red room you can’t really loop and the two corner ones. I agree stealth killers are good, but that by itself doesn’t make the map a killer sided one in general. I talked about totem spots being good already in my OP. I think there’s a lot of good perks for both sides to be used on this map.

You can loop the red room if the pallet is there. Sometimes it's not and it's just a dead tile. Though still good for juking because you can hide your blood, even if the killer has Bloodhound.

No it’s definitely enlarged or at least better in some sort of way than a normal T/L wall. Didn’t say the meat locker one is loopable, just saying it is a vault. Don’t forget the meat grinder vault and the vault above the bathroom with the security cameras.

I don't think it's enlarged as much as it is shaped slightly different. It has these little nooks which can get you stuck if you hug the wall. If anything it feels tighter to me.

    Think of it like this

Doctor can get a lot of builds that pretty much make the entire match against him boring and not running calm spirit against him he removes all aspect of stealth from the game. I just find him annoying cause his shocks are inconsistent and screams are too

Also he is a walking frame drop on console. For both survivors and killer.

  • Butts. Specifically Spirit, Plague, Jane, and Kate.

    I guess that's just a bug.

I have never been blocked to vault by a random scream, and looking at his face neither did he.

The only time he can block a vault is when he shocks you, not by random screams

No the vault is blocked not from being shocked but from screaming as you are shocked, thus when you scream randomly it also blocks the vault if it happens at the same time. And due to latency, you teleport back to the other side. And this only seems to be a feature of Madness screams, because screams from Dream Snares, Afterpiece Tonic, or Infectious Fright don't do this.

Just make it a slow vault. I can't see how people have such a hard time understanding this is a BS mechanic. It's entirely connection dependent and beyond your control as survivor. In one instance you get shocked and make the vault, in another you get shocked and teleport back, in yet another you get shocked and just can't vault. It's stupid no matter how you slice it.

Yet people want to defend it as "this is the only thing Doc has to beat loops". No if you make it a slow vault he can still beat loops just fine. Example, Clown and Freddy can force slow vaults and they crush loops.
