The most annoying problems the plague has are the buggy emblem system and hits not connecting. You should try a higher sensitivity because her corrupt puke should not decrease her sensitivity in any way.
-
Ranged killers on console are always going to be harder to play. Trickster may be the worst case of this issue since you need to hit 8 times in a row.

The point is. You can get him for free. That's not a paid killer. Paid killers would be Michael, PH, Freddy, Ghost Face, etc
Technically he still isn't free since you have to pay with shards but I get what you mean.

Well... I could be completely wrong. As I've said, it is based in my experience and I've seen very few optimal Twins. Most of them were easily defeated, in one instance in particular I saw Twins lose a match without getting a single hook. But who knows? Maybe they are much much better than I think they are.
And welcome to my world, btw. For a very long time I saw my favourite killer in F Tier, even though he clearly wasn't.
The Twins can end the game with a 2-3 injured survivors and pressure multiple areas on the map. They have one of the highest skill ceiling which is way not many people dominate with them.
-
Legion, Pig, Myers and Trickster.

You realize trickster is free.... Right ? How exactly is he a paid killer
Huntress is in a free dlc chapter while Trickster is a paywall one. Yea you can use shards but he still is sold in the All Kill chapter.
Why would people pay for the All Kill chapter if they can get the Huntress straight away for free.
-
How about a perk that lets you block off a gen after kicking it. It should have a cooldown timer of 30 sec
-
He's pretty weak killer that is really map dependent and needs survivors to loop around objects that don't break LoS constantly.
On the right map and in the right hands he can be devastating but most of the time he's just a budget huntress.
Buff Trickster

I just played a match and the 2s difference is barely noticeable... I am not saying the change was good or deserved but so far they don't feel weird.
It adds up the more you play them. The Twins can be really strong but this nerf should be reverted. Its doesnt really make them weaker but just clunky to play. Waiting 5 seconds on each down as Victor every match gets really annoying.

Been playing since 2017 so more than hundreds of hours lol and I play both sides frequently. What's funny is how one sided the mains of this "community" get. Killers only have a real disadvantage with SWF but that's also a matter of getting better and learning their play patterns. Everyone has them and they can be exploited.
You've been playing since 2017 and think dbd is killer sided? Have you been stuck in the grey ranks?
Playing killer is stressfull. Everyone knows that decent survivors can toy with the killer unless they are good nurses, spirits or blights. Try playing some offmeta killers in high ranks.
Get real, troll

The OP was specifically calling out big maps. Also, people want Trickster to be 4.6 because they absolutely suck with him and don't want to adjust their playstyle or admit they cannot aim.
Seriously, for a killer that looks spray'n'pray, you really do have to be as accurate as Slinger or Huntress to do well.
Not you acting like Trickster is any good. Big maps destroy him. Even when you do have your godlike aim and survivors don't dodge your knives he's still slow and has no map pressure. He is no threat on range like Deathslinger or Huntress.
You can do good with Trickster but thats mostly on the survivors mistakes. He needs some major adjustments.

It was confirmed by devs that the new killer is Nemesis. Also they are adding in the end only a single killer, because two killers could create too many bugs at the same time. Especially if we take into account that also a new survivor item will be added, a new map, and also MMR will finally go live + a new game mode.
Lady Dimitrescu was just confirmed by the devs though.

Just went against a rank 1 twins - they had no issue getting a 3k.
So guess it's not THAT bad - shocker hyperbole on the forums.
Just went against a rank 1 trickster who got a 4k. I guess he is op.

It’s probably because his knives don’t actually interrupt actions like repairing
The knives dont even have any effect unless you chain 8 of them. You can just keep repairing while getting hit with 7 knives-

Trickster is my favorite killer atm and I've never seen someone DC against me. Maybe im just trash or the Survivor eel like he's a waste of time. Many Tricksters can not keep up with the Survivors and start camping/tunneling to get at least 1 kill.
I dont get why you would dc against a free win killer.
-
I agree. I've just seen a Trickster get a 4k with only Predator and Monstrous shrine. These op perks can even let me finish 5 gens in peace.
Survivors should have an opportunity to escape after getting hit. Scratch marks should disappear after 1 second and the killer freezes in place for 5 seconds.
The fourth hook state is long overdue...
-
More like expecting to stand a chance without getting bullied into oblivion.
Its pretty boring to run the same builds over and over again just to not get stomped.
-
I think its u likely that she will be the RE killer. The developement started way before all the tall girl.
And her height would have some weird interactions. You'd spot her instantly on open maps and doors would break her back.
Still hoping she'd somehow make it.
-
It is way too good at its current state. I always pick it up because it is so versatile. An exhaustion perk that lets me dodge a hit or gain enough distance to get to another loop every 40 seconds. It may be inconsistent sometimes but I'd still take that risk if it could make any chase longer.
It the best survivor perk int the game imo.
-
Felix, Jeff and Trickster could use some new clothes.

Moris are the Killers version of keys, and vice versa. Both end the game prematurely and strip the opponent of playtime. I'm a Survivor main and I've noticed moris a bit more in matches where I see someone bring a key than if all of us are empty handed - not always, but nothing is 100%.
I would personally love if both sides stopped using keys/moris but that's just me! 😊
Moris are way worse than keys though. Sure both end the game early but moris just replace the third hook and saves yourself a few seconds. They only counter ds on second hook.
Keys are a free escape unless you get tunneled because of it.
-
I bought this game because I thought it is a horror game. But after ranking up to the green ranks I realized that survivors don't respect the killer's presence at all. Bodyblocking, flashlight clicking and finishing a gen right next to the killer makes this game feel rather like an action party game that fails to be horror.
-
There should be more Jeff mains. He's such a great character but completely neglected by the playerbase :(.
-
I didnt even know this was a thing until now.
Those random sounds in the middle of the me were irritating especially when you dont even know what they are about. Might be a pain to actually find the gnome but its an interesting idea.

How did I proxy camp though? In some rounds that I didn't want to commit to a chase that I knew was going to be a loss for me? Playing smart is apparently forbidden now? I don't really remember proxying except for when it was the last few people, and denying unhooks if I see someone going for it. That's the right choice and decision to make when playing killer. I proxy sometimes yes, but I don't really see me proxying in any other game I played that night. Going back to the hook, because most people heal under hook is the right choice if the person is trying to take you to strong tiles. I don't deny anything though. I'm not that type of person. I'm willing to admit things, and I'm fully aware. I don't understand how I'm showing bad attitude, but that's fine you do you, but apparently 1 game where I did some camping means I'm a full blown out camper though. I can't change your mind, but most of the people who come across me in the end game chat at least off stream when I decide to focus and play fair call me incredibly good at Trickster. You based performance off of being awake for 40+ hours. That's why I said I wanted to go back into it more level headed and awake so I can actually perform well, and do just fine, and I did just fine for being awake for that long.
You did proxy camp almost every hook though and run back to every unhook.
I do understand how you can fall asleep while playing. Its boring to watch and most likely to play either. I know thats a strategy on killers with no map pressure but doesn't really show the the killer's power.
-
I'd love to see Chris and Lady didgeridoo in the game. A new map would be appreciated as well but rather a location based on the older games than RE8.
-
You clearly never play Trickster.
Main event is already op the way it is. If you down a survivor and another appears in front of you with no cover, you can get a health state for free. Especially when they don't run around a rock or a wall (or try to dodge in general) because why would any survivor do that.
Main Event is basically a free win atm. We should be asking for a nerf instead.

The ranking system is based around playtime, not skill.
This one. Survivors ranking is a joke. Simply playing will get you to purple ranks at least. No need to be good at looping or decision making. I always end up in red ranks somehow..
Ranking as killer is a but harder but still way too easy. I got to rank 2 while building up my Trickster using random perks I just unlocked. I'm not even a good killer.
-
This a obviously a troll but Im bored.
Survivors are not supposed to end chases but just waste buy enough time for their mates to do gens.
Why else do you think the game would have a mechanic like Bloodlust added?
-
Demo is definitely better than the whole C and D tier. Trickster deserves D tier.
-
Technically it is cheating but it seems like Behaviour doesn't care.
-
I haven't seen a mori in my games since the rework. This is really sad but dcing against them is even worse..
-
Most killers lack the power to keep up with good survivors. In matches like that you should just try to get as many BP as you get. A demo can not deal with high efficiency players.
Survivors are almost always stronger when used by highly skilled players.
-
So lets reward the survivors for their poor decision making?
Being tunneled is one of the worst experiences but making BT part of the base kit would make playing killer even more frustrating. It would give all survivors another second chance opportunity.
-
You might think he's op because he sucks to play against.
You're basically forced to spam windows and drop pallets early the whole game while the chainsaw hitboxes are sometimes questionable.
I know he is not op but still would like to see him get nerfed tbh. Such an annoying killer

well she has to save but unlike nurse which will make his stunned for a while or billy or blight or any other killer. she can continue chase as soon as she finished phasing. see how unfair she is ? combined with stridor then there's no counterplay. I suggest you play other killer first before saying she is not OP, just like i did. compare how easy she can get 4K compare to other killer
Spirit has counterplay though. I dislike facing a Spirit but its not like I'll die no matter what because "she has no counterplay".
She is strong but not as busted as you try to make her appear.
-
@BubbaDredge said:
The simple fact: Trickster is a projectile killer who's projectiles are useless unless in close chase, he sucks in chase, and survivors heal automagically.
Trickster can only be fixed by addressing this.
I've never seen one Trickster who chained 8 knives on range ever. Huntress and Deathslinger can hit on 30m while survivors take 1 or 2 knives from Trickster (which mostly likely just reset) and start running. Many survivors straight up ignore ranged knife throws.
This is so sad.
-
The devs dont want to force everyone in high ranks to learn Nurse.
And Spirit has wasy more counterplay than Nurse that know whats shes doing.

Trickster as a 115% would be too strong.

I disagree with him being weak,I think most players just need a bit more experience with him, with the right build and addons,he can be very strong.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2O9C8cAnsg
As shown here,he doesn't seem that weak to me.
I've seen that video.
The survivors lost after 7 minutes on 5 gens. They didn't try to dodge his knives even with the accuracy being meh. This shows little to nothing about Trickster. Also using the a green and an iridescent add-on combo to make a killer work is speaking for itself.
Even with a good build he has basically no map pressure and his chase potential is lacklusting against survivors who actually use their environment.
Trickster needs major adjustments to even compete with other killers
-
-
Jane is overrated.
Have you seen Felix tho?

Not every match is supposed to be a perfect balance of killer and survivor tools. Different perks, and different killers, bring different things to the table with different strengths.
It's like an RPG, where you might have a build that's strong against magic enemies, but you end up facing a physical boss. Of course that's not balanced, it's not meant to be. You bring your tools for a specific scenario and work around what you end up going against.
The Pig is a good counter to genrushing, but she has awful map pressure and a weak power.
It sounds like you want every killer to be a carbon copy of each other, so that survivors always know what they're going up against. That's over-balance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2147711#Comment_2147711
"Bandaiding" problems with perks, the customisation system of the game, IS how you create variety. If you solve all of these player behaviour issues on a fundamental level, what else are perks going to be able to do? You'll end up with braindead, watered-down perks that all feel the same.
I do understand your point however I would like much more creativity in builds. Survivors run dead hard, BT and Dstrike while KIllers use ruin, corrupt, bbq most of the time. If you choose somehing else, you need to be a really good player to not get destroyed.
-
@Mistikus said:
i my matches i only once had survivor with breakdown maybe he/she didnt knew aobut but i in most matches i had many killers you porpusly abuse pallet bugs and with every buged hit they way just noding at you
Are you expecting the killers to just let you throw the pallet down safely? The bug is out of their control. They do not choose to "abuse" it while many Breakdown survivors do actually abuse it by choice
-
Dead hard covers up your mistakes in a chase and cant be countered if used for distance. Basically rewarding good and bad players.
-
@scenekiller said:
There are a lot of things that reward bad players on both sides, this is nothing new.
Keys will be getting nerfed in the future, don't worry.

Another bug was uncleansable totem bug, first on Lery's and then Coldwind. Both took months to fix. Those maps were never disabled, no one was banned for running NOED since it'd be guaranteed dull totem by end of match or other hex totems that couldn't be cleansed if spawned there.
You can't really expect the devs to ban every killer using any hex perks. Breakdown is one perk while there are many many hex ones.
It shouldn't have taken so long to fix it though.

Lol do you have any idea how this game works? All you do is make the dumbest threads ever which just show how terrible you are at the game. If they swarm the hook when you’ve just hooked someone they are throwing the game and making it easy for the killer. If you don’t understand how then stop making threads cos your brain isn’t capable of knowing what benefits who
How does it make it easy for the killer? Most killers can not deal with all survivors at once. How would you stop an unhook while 2 survivors are blocking you unless you're leatherface. Do you have any idea how this game works? Or tell me you're gonna down 3 healthy survivors and 1 on BT in 10 seconds.
Toxic trash
-
They are already being punished by getting a penalty on their score.
The survivors can also rush gens while the killer is "distracted" especially when you use kindred. Some people will unhook anyway but its really easy to punish the killer for camping yourself.
Sadly the one on the hook can only hope to waste as much time as possible.
