They never said or implied anything about BT basekit. I was watching the live Q&A.
He didn't say it, but it was heavily implied.

@ThanksForDaily said:
People like drama. No one said BT as basekit.
But only 5 killer perks? Make them 7.
Yes, the lead designer implied it, and I just went along with this assumption. No need for drama, we're all just wondering here.

But don't worry! Trapper still sounds like he just released the largest load of his manhood possible whenever he picks up a trap off the ground.
Man, that sound is so annoying... it doesn't look like those traps are that heavy.

@Tiufal said:
Can we talk about having DS and UB basekit for survs? It's not too much to ask.
Sure, if corrupt and pop also becomes basekit.

@fogdonkey said:
Not sure why are people upset about BT. If you don't hit the unhooked person you don't even notice BT. If you hit the unhooked person, they will have to waste 12 seconds mending.
Maybe the mending could be increased slightly but it has various implications for various killers and their add-ons.
It's not about the BT, it's about the free perk slot

@Azshhh said:
what is this nonsense mentality the forums have adopted that if one side gets a buff, or their side gets nerfed, they're then owed some type of compensation changes
Because it's not a buff on a perk, it's a base kit buff.

Because no-one wants to play against Ruin, Undying, Pop, Pain Resonance and Corrupt.
Yeah, I guess nobody wants to play against BT + 4 meta survivor perks you see every match. That's why I started with "if BT becomes base kit", because the devs have teased this may happen.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Who said BT is becoming base kit?
Nobody. I said "if". But the topic was raised in the Q&A stream, and it was somewhat teased.

Stretched res does give an advantage, but I've seen numerous videos on tiktok of both survivors and killers using it. Unfortunately, both sides will continue to do it unless Behaviour does something about it
yes, it can help both sides

Should those who haven't received the shards open a ticket about the issue?
-
Unbreakable exists. Soul Guard exists. Boon: Exponential exists. WGLF exists. Telling killers to slug is just a bad joke.
-
Maybe it's a little too busted, but the existence of PT is fine

@Science_Guy said:
Killers aren't using Blight with his busted addons and "techs" because other killers are too weak, they're playing Blight because he has busted addons and cheesy exploits. I know this forum be quite defensive when it comes to Blight, but buffing any other killer isn't going to change the actual reason Blight is so obnoxiously common.
but they are too weak though

Yes, we get it. You don't play killer, so you don't actually know how this works from the killers' perspective.
Think of it this way.
- You are on RPD.
- You hear a boon and see people healing and being cloaked. You know it's a Shadowstep and CoH stack.
- Where is the boon? It could be in the office, it could be in fifteen different places where it'll still cover half the map.
- You guess that it's in the library, because survivors always put it there.
- You go to the library, which is a long route totally out of the way.
- Is it on top, or in one of the shelf locations, or in a corner?
Tell me, how much time have you just wasted?
Multiply it by 4.
If the number isn't below 15, you've just lost the game.
then you snuff it and they just wait you turn your back to lit it up again in 14 seconds 🤣

@Satelit said:
Or we can just nerf Boil Over and add a hook in the library?
we can do it all

@Pepsidot said:
Wouldn't this perk prevent all survivors that would otherwise be hit out to be stuck? I personally already dislike the fact that Pinhead and The Twins can prevent survivors escaping with a mini bloodwarden so am against this idea. If you really want to stop DS at end game I suggest downing the survivor early and perhaps bringing Knock Out to make them move slower.
But it's so fun when Pinhead and Victor do it.
-
We need to show them that we care about this issue and that we are many.
-
Yes, but rework into something that doesn't encourage camping plays. Something like reducing repair speed as long as the killer is far from the hook.

Furtive Chase
Furtive chase is useful when you need to change the obsession. I guess it was more useful with the old DMS, but there are some other perks that do literally nothing.

And you can reveal him over walls in jungle gyms (or just flat out see where any killer is going and prevent any mindgame on their part)
This is so annoying (and unfair).
-
I've played as him and didn't get the shards too.
-
Still not too.
-
I wish instead of this they'd add more chests in the map.

The survivors can already destroy them with pallets, or head on, and blind them with flashlights/flashbangs. No need to give them any more weapons than this, there's already plenty of counters to zombies, on top of the stupidly simple one of just running away and doubling back to lure it away from your generator.
But I want to buff the zombies, maybe increase the movement speed, put more zombies in the trial, so they can be like a side objective, while still having counter play (they're also a source of info to the killer). Additionally, they could improve Nemesis tentacle, which should be his great strength regardless.
-
Those are good. I don't know about the aura, at least killer instinct can't be hidden with perks or hiding in a locker. Also, they need to improve the reveal system to prevent weird things like being revealed while you are covered (in relation to the survivor revealing).
-
Nerf pig pls.
-
Nurse is the most unfun killer to go against. If they're good, there is nothing you can do, you are dead. If they're bad, it is really boring.
-
I feel like they should massively buff the zombies, even bringing more of them to the trial, but then giving survivors some weapon so they can kill the zombies
-
@neotax said:
why should this have priority, streched brings a higher vertical fov but it is so map dependent that you benefit from it that it doesn't matter again, there are not so many tiles where you have such blatant advantages. Alternatively, you could adjust the survivor's camera angle and give the killers shadowborn basic.
One should rather concentrate on a serverside anticheat system because the real silent cheaters are usually the problem.
There are plenty of tiles where this can be abusable. And the solution is simple, that's why this shouldn't take much to be regarded. But yes, other types of cheating should also be priority.
-
Ruin for healing? KEKW
Although it wouldn't be crazy if it just regressed until 95% (like the recover limit), but there are just so many more urgent problems in the game right now...

No, it won't break anything at all unless they make a mistake. This is very clear to anyone familiar with Unreal Engine 4.
The posted solution would support "normal" resolutions while keeping certain constraints.
Agreed. There are several viable choices, some simple and with very little space for odd behaviour and other more sofisticated. But something must be done regard this. The advantage is huge and the risk is little.

NOED as base kit
-
I fell like starstruck shouldn't rely on TR. It makes it weaker in low TR killers and stronger in killers with high TR that you can amplify even higher with perks. It should be a fixed radius.

As far as waiting for a dev reply goes, I suspect they don’t like talking about stretched res mostly because of their general policy that they don’t like talking about specific exploits and cheats. They’ve mentioned before they consider it an exploit so that would imply they’d remain fairly quiet on what they may or may not have tried or are planning to do or try to mitigate its use. So I don’t personally assume that their silence means they are unaware of or ignoring the complaints.
Also it’s quite possible there’s some technical hurdle in fixing the aspect ratios without breaking something else. If so that’s over my head though. 🤷♂️
Yeah, but switching res is already widely known, everyone knows how to do it and it's not bannable like using hacks.

How about we nerf pig?

I actually like the kill vs escapes thing, I just wish the team was considered as a whole rather than 4 1v1's.
-
I feel like he should be revealed only when there is nothing beetween him and the survivor revealing, so the survivor can not use the third person for advantage.
-
There is already a discussion about that

Reduce ability charges from 5 to 3
Increases the cooldown to reuse the skill
Reduce your movement speed between 4.2 to 4.4
He is a very strong killer, he has a lot of map control thanks to his high speed and low ability cooldown.
I don't know how he hasn't been nerfed yet...
no
-
I like parts of it, but by the time you hit the 4th survivor wouldn't someone have time to complete the heal already? And if you amplify his power to make it possible to hit everyone, maybe it would be too opressive to make everyone injured, in deep wound, while chasing very oppresively the last survivor. Maybe would be better if you could activate Feral Fury after hitting 2 survivors, but requiring 2 hits in Feral Fury (maybe the first hit giving a hindered effect to counter the speed boost).
-
Please don't let this thread die. I also suggest don't offend the devs, just let them know this is a issue many of us care about.
-
I'd like if the MMR was shared for the entire team in the match, or at least great part of it. The game is about altruism too rather than just surviving.
-
@Zolfo16 said:
BHVR admitted to have much more data than this graph.
For example they know how often any perk, item or addon is used, if they are used at high or low mmr and if they lead to a victory or a lost or a tie.
I understand why they won't release it, imagine if everybody would just pick the very best addons from a list like this just given on a silver plate (even though most people with lots of hours already know which ones they are). I just wish they'd separate this killer list in MMR ranges.

@Exxodus21 said:
This is the most "remove killers from the game" post I've ever read.
Yeah, maybe they can add a mode with a bot for killer to please those demands.
-
I think the real weakness of Pentimento is boons. It should be balanced around that. Maybe make boons breakable when you have Pentimento.

I'm considering the plans about closing the gap between SWF and solo survivors, what are you thoughts?
We all know one of the advantages of SWF is the ability to pinpoint where everyone is.
Knowing where everyone is (Bond effects), what are they doing (new HUD actions) and which perks they are using (with the implemention of a HUD sharing all the perks) is a HUGE improvement to solo survivors without buffing SWF in my opinion.
For solo q, not so much (they already have so much disavantage for them). For swf, yes, it would make them even more op (they can't always inform their exact position and this would make so they don't even have to worry about it, just concentrating on more important information).
-
It is kind of funny though, killers are already at a 4v1 disavantage and yet for every objective there is a long animation to wait: picking up a survivor on the ground, hooking, kicking a gen, wiping a weapon, while survivors hold m1 and are just vacuum sat at the generator instantly starting the progression...
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
I don't think increasing the base regression is the way to go, I think they should make it so that you have to work on a generator for the same amount of time it took to kick it before it'll stop regressing when you let go again.
This is fine also, since it's only a few seconds. I don't think they'll do it though since the devs like this tapping deal.
