to be fair they was trash before sloppy was meta hahaha

Killers: Genrushing is a problem, no more gen perks for survivors
BHVR: hmm maybe a new exhaustion perk?
Killers: No! Clutch second chance perk!
BHVR: Maybe a new endurance perk?
Killers: No! Third health state!
BHVR: maybe a new aura perk?
Killers: No! Too much info!
BHVR: maybe a new chase perk?
Killers: No! Haste is problematic!
BHVR: healing perk?
Killers: No! Too OP!
BHVR: Oh, maybe an anti-tunnelling perk
Killers: No! It's a legit strategy
BHVR: Anti-camping?
Killers: strategy!
BHVR: ....
The secert is releasing perks that heal u half way like resurgence, solidarity, etc.... No one ever get mad at those!!!
-
hopefully the dc bots. They been consistently adjusting killers addons of recently so probably more of that
-
good chapter enough said
-
both roles are kinda hard once u get out of the low elo in my opinion but can also feel extremely noob-ish when using any of the following playstyles (gen rushing or tunneling/camping).
The strongest ways to play require the least amount of skill. Hyper focusing your objective in this game just require u to be very persistent not skillful.
-
Best event ever in my opinion outside of the lags. Having a blast with the cool mechanics.
probably will never grind hard enough to get a p100! i play daily but never more than a few hours
-
u know everytime a gen get completed one baby meg is born? the more u know
-
when you get that rare backflip hit at the exit gates and can pick up. :):):)
-
Scavenger is even more horrible than potential energy. outside them two perks your list look solid
-
1 pallet in the dead zone center and the rest on the outskirts are bad. You even running the op houses or dying cause it no pallets with easy line of sight in the center
-
idk what to do about survivors spawning on gens but hopefully behavior address rushing your objective (tunneling/gen rushing) on both sides in their next road map. People been asking for corrupt and ds at basekit and for gen repairing perks/items/addaons to be severely Nerf.
-
saboteur kinda fine for what it does honestly.
I will say that sabotaging is just a weak mechanic in general. Take to long outside of the Alex toolbox and there another hook close by most of the time.
-
lol how edgy
-
This event is literally goated already! i wouldn't mind these as perks... but they should probably just stay an event thing. Definitely wanna see more crazy stuff like this tho

I didn't base the amateur dramatic comment on a streak. I based it on some of the reactions groups of individuals have. The streak was just to point out people have good streaks, followed by bad streaks and it is naturally what's happening. Some people are probably doing better than they think but focus on the negative trials, which is what I also stated in my comment.
So I feel amateur dramatics is a good way of describing some of the those complaining. My only amendment would be to have made my final sentence a bit clearer as to it being aimed at those who do over-exaggerate or outright lie. I hoped the rest of the comment may have made that clear, but hindsight dictates otherwise.
ah ok understand. Just kinda read it as you trying to say solo q was fine base on your streak but that wasn't the case.
-
Tha lags are so bad it nearly impossible to run hyper focus but overall the event great
-
we already got one trapper
-
The game pretty balance but rushing your objective on both sides still need to be look at. Tunneling still = a win most of the time in solo q because every team come equip with one potatoe do to match making. Gen rushing can be especiallydifficult vs swf still. All of the perks right now are balance outside maybe made for this (which i don't think is that bad personally). 99% of the addons are fine as well outside bnp, mdr, TS peice, and some blight stuff.

Ok, so just played a game with a killer that done nothing all game. Camped a hook on 3 gens only to get gen rushed and finish with 1 kill. I thought, "well that worked out well didn't it?" Only to find that somehow he has ended up with more bp than 50% of the team.
There should be more bp penalties for camping, does anyone agree with this? I mean it would probably make little difference in putting them off, but still, it's something.
did he looking something like this?

A killer with a high skill ceiling, strong and rewarding power, that's mechanically demanding, usable in creative ways, with sufficient counterplay and also pretty versatile?
Nah, that sounds like a disaster.
exactly which why people tend to have fun vs demo and blight when he's not running certain addons. Most of these people can move a good amount distance in chase fast but with room to dodge on the survivor in like u said. Even nurse is pretty fun to me.

Yeah, I looked at my stats for the last 25 games I had and it's 40% escape rate.
Looked at my stats for the last fortnight and it's 27% escape rate.
I had a week in early June where my escape rate that week was 10%.
Factors like: coming up on rank reset (everyone sweating to get as high as they can), and the anniversary event (lots of killers playing a bit more chill) can affect it.
40% pretty good
"I had a week in early June where my escape rate that week was 10%"
jesus how do you even play anymore after that lol. I would've been traumatize forever

@Marc_go_solo said:
UK servers here. It's certainly nothing like what those individuals are saying from my experience. In the last 25 soloq survivor matches, I have escaped 19 times (5 by hatch, 1 of which the killer gave me). However, I can see what makes people believe it's worse since the 2 games which stand-out are when a Wraith and Huntress got extremely pissed-off and smacked me persistently on the hook.
However, for the other losses and wins the trials have been tough, yet fun. When putting into perspective, it's been enjoyable.
My guess is that some do indeed have real bad luck in matches or are screwed by the system. However, I feel most are either: a). Focused on the negative experiences too much, b). Lying to try and influence BHVR to change aspects of the game, c). Protecting their ego, d) Brought it upon themselves by being toxic or e). Trolling.
Again, there will be some who have just the worst luck and I would feel for them. At some point I am definitely due some real ######### luck! However, I do feel it's just a bunch of amateur dramatics.
yeah people do tend to focus on the negative but i don't think people over hyping how bad solo q is. Also congrats on the games dude. I don't think you should conclude "it's just a bunch of amateur dramatics" just base on a good streak of solo q games tho. I had 30 plus streaks with pig using brown addons, and Myers using vanity mirror (all with little to no tactics or slow down). I wouldn't say these characters are fine even base on my own personal experience.

You expect us to believe that you have a 76% survival rate as a solo survivor?
i mean he probably did win all them games that day (happy for him) but of course WE KNOW his average win rate in solo q is no where near that . We can look at top survivors streamers like skermz, jmr, swarm class, probzz and see none of these people have a 75% excape rate when just solo q. yeah these streamers rarely lose in a two man let alone more....but solo q a different story.
-
well base on the summer game fest trailer (https://youtu.be/cnS7VH6eCto) it definitely seems like he can evade a basic attack somehow.
Few different content creators talk about how the trailer emphasize trapper missing a swing at point blank range against Nicolas cage

And survivors can do something op with Power Struggle builds. I already saw some people are doing it tho. You can put dream pallet and you can make killer lose a lot time on you.
Plus Hubris works only when you stun killer, yes? So pre-dropping will help when you know they have this build.
I don't know why both sides complaining that much. BHVR is trying make events more fun with new mechanics. And plus event is just for limited time. A lot bp, some chaotic new mechanics. I am enjoying so far.
you telling me this event got mediocre perks getting vaule? wooooooooooooo!!!!!

yes..u can trade still. Will yall all excape tho? absolutely not
-
dont be a silly billy rick! holding W has and will always be viable vs most killers
-
iron cope is still alright but i wouldn't run it after the nerf. in a stay injure build it could be cool but meh..
-
Rushing your objective should be nerf across the board on both sides. 3 gens popping in 2 mins can be stressful to say the least. 1 dead at 4 gens while being 3 minutes in is really terrible too.

Probably because with survivors almost everyone got a main where they bump everything into, on the killer side its mostly spread around everyone because not many play only one Killer.
yeah probably so. i kinda do the same on my killers now that i think about it.

Tbh I see tunneling more than camping. Facecamping is pretty rare, proxy camping is common but not gamebreaking
same i really only see proxy camping
I don't see face camping that much (unless end game) and it probably because it way to inconsistent of a strat vs a solid teams. All it take is one person trading right before the hook survivor go into second and bam u wasted a ######### ton of time guarding the hook for nothing. Still it nice they addressing the strat because it pretty strong vs mid to low level solo q teams who will just stare at the killer camping

Not exactly what I asked for but sure. Also don't like going full meta, I like using different perks
Anyone with an actual suggestion?
hyper focus with tool box
Potential energy
built to last
last perk of your choice but i suggest this is not happening if u having issues getting hitting your greats.
Keep hitting your hype focus skill checks cause u gonna need to stay on the max stacks for this (which is 6).
once the gen is very close to completion activate potential energy and take advantage of your max stacks. You should have skills checks coming back to back every few seconds. Which will allow u to fill your potential energy tank up extremely quickly to dump into the next gen. much better than starting from scratch on a new gen with no hyper focus stacks build up yet.

Anyone ever seem to be getting trashed as killer lately? It’s been rough. ???
im a mediocre killer who don't tunnel or camp and my win rate never even drop below 75% (Mainly staying in the 80). Even when i get my ass kick it just one to many weak teams to boost my rate back up i feel. You probably just going through a rough patch. Hopefully you bounce back

Yesterday I played 42 games and only got 2 masks. Almost every match I was tunneled out, camped, bleed out, and my average BP per match was 12k excluding BP offerings (roughly 60k per match with event offerings).
Realistically, it took me longer to P3 a Survivor during an event where +535% BP is possible almost every game than P3ing a Killer normally.
damn i didn't even know a stretch of bad games could go that far. What a gigachad! i would've been off survivor instantly
-
@TerraEsram said:
... Two games in a row, I survive, making gen, etc, got an invitation, no mask
Another one, I got two invitation or plus, got tunneled, don't got a mask
Got tunneled All game, only one invitation, survive, got the mask
BUT WHEN YOU PLAY KILLER
You get EACH MATCH a mask
Can somebody explain me this? That's make any sens the system for having a mask in the survivor side
It a bit harder for survivor to get the mask but u will still get it eventually so i don't see any reason to worry. Comparing everything to other side will only frustrate you. Overall the event give a $hit load of bloodpoints and have a fun ton of chase mechanics. Massive W for behavior

It really is a half-measure that won’t stop camping. I dunno why people are acting like it’s gonna kill the playstyle. But tbf there’s no other game (assym or otherwise) that allows one player to hijack the gaming experience for another player. DBD is super unique in that way.
It won't kill the playstyle and it not soppose to. It wil just make camping less powerful Won't have to play the grab game and save the best won't be as much as a problem. You will be able to unhook much more consistently and maybe without even a trade (16 meters is enought to sneak in before the killer can get to hook in my experience with kindred)
Of course tunneling off hook will just take it place but most survivors rather that then being camp to death.
-
For survivor dh. still to this day when someone hit a well time one on me I'll say nice!
For killer maybe tinkerer?? kinda spice things up without be overly strong. I don't really like any of them that much tho. I always salute when i see that one giga chad running grim embrace
-
well they already got Terminator once for their death garden game so why not get him again.
my second guess is candy man (I'm sick of picking Jason every time just for it to be someone else lol)

@nars said:
Its completely fine on most but it really shines in really strong vaults. Shack becomes a near infinite for most killers, as the survivor can just block the window and gain distance without anything you can do. The vault by the gen in garden of joy main building becomes unwinnable, you cant follow them. Same with the one in the dining room. This effect really shows just how broken god vaults are. The only thing you can do is vault them, and this ability takes that away. Really only a nurse or blight etc etc can do anything about it. otherwise its an "I win" button at god vaults. Just remove god vaults already, shack can stay though. Theres no interactivity aside from looping it until it gets blocked. God pallets are easier to swallow because their limited and get used up, but god vaults are infinite and never go away. i've seen baby survivors get carried by bad loop design like garden of joy main, being able to block vaults just amplifies it. dont even get me started on the pipe in the game...
yeah that very unfortunate to hear. I haven't ran into it myself on gatden but that just because i refuse to ever chase in the house (i just drop chase).
-
everyone seen a 100 at this point nearly. But on average i rarely see a killer over prestige 8 despite having lobbies full of high Prestige survivors
-
The event look very fun with all the mechanics that can be use in chase!

I haven't played in about a year or whenever they released SBMMR (the "DBD is like hockey" fiasco) and my solo queue teammate quality went right down the toilet. My experience seemed to be shared by a ton of people, that being:
- Survivors wouldn't do gens, even if the killer was chasing me for minutes on end
- Survivors wouldn't be able to last more than a few seconds in chase
- Survivors would often suicide on their first hook
- Killer would be a top tier pick (blight, spirit etc) with top tier perks
- Survivors would be running random, low tier perks
I'm just wondering if they ever tuned the matchmaking or if the UI update helped match quality at all. I also remember my killer games being super sweaty and often getting matched against 4 man clans running full meta builds.
yeahhhh just don't

The only killers on that list that are fun to go against is clown and dredge at least with the dredge the remnant can be faked Artist knight and skull merchant suck the fun out of survivor
The dredge is super fun to go against for sure. clown ehhhh. i don't really mind knight myself but i can understand why most people hate him. like who wanna shift w the whole match? BORING
i think the knight would be more interesting if the banner was actually more reasonable to get in chase. of course that would make him much weaker but i feel he would be at least more engaging.

Before complaining, pls look up the facts first. From the DbD Wiki:
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Wiggle#Wiggle_Regression
"Whenever Survivors would stop wiggling or be prevented from doing so (i.e. when they were dropped by the Killer and left in the Dying State), their Wiggle Meter would slowly regress over time at a rate of -0.05 c/s.
At this rate, it would take 320 seconds (5 minutes and 20 seconds) to regress a full Wiggle Meter(16 charges) completely, which contributed to this feature being essentially unknown amongst the Community."
So by no means you were able to drop a survivor and pick 'em up a few seconds later. It took REALLY LONG. But in the scenario of searching the last surv that crawled away minutes ago, you were pretty much save to pick them up and hook them, ending the game. Now, if you had to drop that said survivor, you cannot pick 'em up even 3 minutes later, bc the will wiggle off. So the safer approach for the killer is indeed leaving the surv on the ground for them to bleedout.
yeah i should've look it up
-
@nars said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3459913#Comment_3459913
that was a year ago idk what you mean "just". Plus it wasnt an issue when they did that because they also birthed the gen kick meta, causing the overwhelming slowdown and gen time increases to tip the game into being killer favored. Now, since nearly all regression perks are dead, and survivor gen speed ups are untouched, its been reversed. Any killer without cray map mobility and/or built in slowdown with strong chase is going to suffer through 1 gen popping for every hook they get. Plus pain res is the strongest regression perk and punishes you for tunneling, meaning using it discourages using the most optimal (and annoying) strat.
almost no consistent regression + killer balance + survivor tools = gens too fast
cut him some slack he fresh out of the hyperbolic Time Chamber

Sell it to me, I want more build ideas. EDIT: Can be on killer too.
Here's mine:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HPKYZPX7SSGT/gabriel.png
Reasoning:
None of my friends can loop so they made me the designated looper of our SWF, plus this build gives me a lot of versatility at all points of the game.
After MFT gets nerfed I'll most likely go back to bringing an altruistic perk such as PTS/Desperate Measures/Kindred etc etc.
I've used this build so often that I almost never heal in my games aside from the end-game to get a save which is why I bring a medkit. The only time I change this build is if I'm playing on really high latency, then I'll swap to a pure gen-rushing loadout.
oh i didn't see the edit at first. "Can be on killer too"
slinger
Prison chain & increase reload speed
No where to hide- to deal with toxic baby rushers
Over charge- my gen defense
Monitor - to give that old slinger feel and i hate shift W
save or star struck
