Hahaha this post is the funniest I ever seen

DS is fine as it is. Both sides have good and bad perks. Just role with it.

The devs have literally put perks and items in the game to counter noed. stop using the "solo survivor "excuse . I literally only play solo , instead of running a toolbox with the 4 meta perks either run small game or detectives hunch or a map.
None of those perks tell you if there are any totems left
-
@NMCKE said:
Just do the totems, they aren't that difficult to do.
The perk does reward bad killers, if you let it do so.
Saying "just do totems" is not a solution as most of the players base are solo players. Survivor cannot be running around waisting time without knowing if there are still totems left or all are already broken.
For this to be actually a valid argument, there should be a totem counter in the game.

Yea but bp =/= skill either
Thanks for taking initiative and I hope you can figure something out mate.
The pont is not that you where skilled in the match. Is not fair that as a survivor, I get no progress just because the killer did bad and I got no chase or unhooking or healing point, but is also not fair if I get progress for doing nothing, therefore survive + minimum BPs .

Escaping =/= skilled gameplay
4king =/= skilled gameplay
The casual aspects of dbd are its downfall.
Which is why there might be an optimal minimum amount of BPs that can ensure that at the very least, you have to have average skills. Is just an idea.

Apparently 80% of red rank killers used it. Boosted.
Did I say they don't use it? I said the change doesn't really matter at those ranks.
Read carefully before you comment.
-
In purple and red ranks, the ruin rework doesn't even matter

Pistachios
-
Sure, used up one of my perk slots just in case the doctor comes up. Nice solution Einstein
-
This gotta be the funniest post I ever seen. Hahaha "Stop using items". Haha seriously?

How doesn't a hex perk get cleansed within the first 30 seconds when half the time it either spawns out in the open or survivors spawn next to it?
Half the time? Haha another made up statistic.
-
@Lucama said:
Ah yes, the great end game perk that can literally be disabled in the first 20s of a match. The great perk that degrades a gen at half the rate a single survivor repairs a gen at, with no toolbox.
Waw, now the argument is 20 seconds instead of 30? Haha, you guys really make me laugh.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Enjoy your end game perk that will be cleansed in 30~60 seconds, I guess.
Meanwhile, I'll just be pumping out survivor. Most of my games have been shorter than 7 minutes.
Why everybody always makes this 30 seconds argument? Is not even true. The perk getting cleanse that quick doesn't even happen that often.

People are mad because they removed Ruin without addressing the issue as to why so many people ran Ruin in the first place, which was generator times and map size.
Ruin still helps with that, and really well.

True

DS is fine as it is

@ClickyClicky said:
How do you “vote up” a comment 50 times?
I swear they put this in on purpose. Theres no way a skillcheck just happens to pop up as you let go so often. I’m convinced the game is designed to have a 15% chance to blow the gen if you let go.
I have this feeling too. Happens too often.

@Liruliniel said:
Happens whenever I get off the heal as well.
True, happens during healing too
-
It's been crap, the number of bugs just keeps increasing.
-
Nope. I have faced many killers not running ruin (even trappers) that just destroy the whole team. The issue is you don't apply good pressure. Any killer can be good even with no Ruin.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
According to a lot of people who loved the disconnect penalty system, the game is working perfectly fine and is completely bug free! /s
What platform was this on? PC?
This was on ps4 and no, I never DC. Skillchecks just stopped showing on the middle of the game.
-
@shadowman0105 said:
Did you checked what perks the killer was using. it might be a bugged huntress lullaby
There was no huntress lullaby
-
I just posted that i cannot play survivor anymore. Do you also keep getting this?
-
I agree with most of what you say except adrenaline being the equivalent of NoED.
They are not similar at all, for NoED you can just sit there doing nothing and you will get it at the end, for adrenaline you have to fix 5 gens to get it, and is just a one time use, with NoEd you can down all 4 survivor.
But for the rest of your post we are on the same page.
-
Forgot to charge controller, battery died during a chase, I couldn't find the charging cable so the killer got me, I couldn't try to wiggle and since it was second hook, I couldn't struggle. By the time I found the cable I was of course dead :)

Survivor logic:
Survivors: I don't like these Killer perks; they are too meta, so they should be nerfed!
Killers: What about the Survivor perks we don't like? They are too meta and should be nerfed!
Survivors: Hahaha no! We keep our meta.
We silly Killer mains; thinking we have any say in how we play our role. 😶
Why these posts always become killers complaining about survivors and survivors complaining about killers?, It has nothing to do with nerfing, buffing or who's got stronger perks, all it is about is that it would be nice that something was done so EVERYONE would use a wider range of perks. But as usual, killers cry about what survivors do, and survivors cry about what killers do, instead of suggesting something that could be a solution.

and 76/80 of the survivors in those same matches running DS/DH/BT
Not true

@NinoV1 said:
Killers only have 2 decent perks, let them use them.
Or give them some other good perks to shake up the meta.
Which is the whole point. They only have those two perks, so, boring.

It's the same with this whole thread. There are meta perks. People are using meta perks. Most times because they are the strongest.
Which just gets me back to the main point, is boring those perks are always used over and over, and would be nice that it changed, on both sides.
-
@SunderMun said:
Trust me, it's boring for killers, too.
Having to run slowdown perks of any kind really limits the types of builds that can be run, in much the same way that BT and DS are often required because of tunneling and camping in some form.
incidentally, neither is fun to go against for either side; it's boring/frustrating.
Yep, I agree, makes it boring for both sides and both sides need changes
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
It's really ridiculous how many time i vs DH and DS. This game gets so boring.
Classic saulty comment that provides no value at all
-
@PinkMochaV2 said:
These two perks need nerfs. Seriously. They are too meta.
And while there are some problems on the survivor side as well, DS/Adrenaline/Deadhard aren't anywhere near as prolific as Ruin/BBQ.
I don't deny the is an issue on the survivor side too, the point is, would be nice that something is done to encourage both sides to use more variations of perks.
-

I'm not sure if something as extreme as nerfing is the solution, killer mains would hate that, but definitely something has to be done to encourage both killers and survivors to use a wider variation of perks, I mean there gotta be over 50 perks that nobody ever uses.
-
@Maníaco_da_garrafa said:
Why isn't everyone running distortion/stake out then?
I run those two perks exactly

@BigBubs said:
How about you do more than just hide the whole time while your team are dying?
PS
With how the watch works it's pretty much a free escape. Why do you think that you deserve a pip when you didn't even work for that hatch? Lol.
You think that if you get lucky to find it then you deserve to rank up?
I think the point is that the match didn't make it possible to even get to a point where you can get enough points to get a pip, which is not the survivor's fault. And yes I agree that the survivor didn't have to work for that hatch and might not deserve the pip, but he doesn't deserve to deppipe either.
-
For me, spine chill is the best counter against GF
-
Agree, the map sucks, the pallets are useless, hex totems are nowhere to be found and makes things a lot easier for any killer.
-
@HP150 said:
I know Decisive Strike is a legitimate perk, but that doesn't stop it from being pathetic.
But I've devised a strategy to counter to being punished for downing you and your team too quickly; can't get Decisive Strike'd if you never come off hook!
Well, the difference is that you can still hit that survivor again, get more points and hook him, while a survivor getting camped gets nothing.
-
@FairP1ayer said:
It hurts me to the core seeing someone camp early, and by the results I see they had BBQ 3 on…
Yep that is even worst, camping when they run BBQ.
-
@Mochan said:
Ruin is not a must-use perk. It's just something you use when you're not good at hunting survivors.
But is not fair not to consider the average player, which is most of the player base. Not everyone gets to red ranks or plays every day, so saying you have to use it cause you are not good enough doesn't seem fair and kind of makes my point.
Even if you are an average player ruin shouldn't be soooo necessary

What this gentleman said.
So, not the game mechanics, but the map designs?
-
@Nicholas said:

I don't think it's encouraged by the developers but it's certainly allowed. Gen rushing is also legitimate. The point that I was trying to illustrate is that there are some mechanics in the game that are commonly used and there are perks to reduce the effectiveness to some extent. I don't want to ever have to run decisive or borrow, but it's basically a must.
A must like ruin unfortunately.
-
@Nicholas said:
The same can be said about a number of things, decisive strike and borrow time are so popular because many killers tunnel and camp!
Well, camping is consider a legitimate technique apparently, so makes sense to have perk to fight that. If camping was punished some other way, maybe the perks wouldn't be even needed, but I really don't see anything happening regarding camping.

@Blueberry said:
If no one actually cleanses then she never even gets to use it, hence why she's a weak killer that doesn't even get to use her power.
Ridiculously argument. No cleansing? Sure I'll just star broken and sick the whole game.
-
Agree, new players need to play against people with their same level of experience, or they are gonna get crushed all the time and just quit. Is not fun to play a game where you know you just gonna have a terrible time.
-
@Guertena said:
That's true, and mysteriously only happens when I bring a ranger med-kit or a engineer toolbox I get so mad >:(
Exactly, I lost a good med kit with insta heal just because the killer quit.
-
@Rydog said:
Yes, we do. I don't think the game was designed to scale the way that it has. It's very unfriendly to new players.
Insert my usual criticism of the oppressive perk grind here. I'm so tired of repeating it.
I agree, I think the game was not designed to grow the way it had, and now it got out of hands.

This is the distance between you and the Killer the frame you became injured. Looks like a fair distance to me.
The killer is not even aiming in my direction
-
Can't be a killer and survivor on swf. And how do i know the killer didn't send message to the survivor before the match started? I think the killer should be punished too.
