It's a mix however wraith and hag I've seen more of lately. Freddy isn't played often though. I see twice as many Nurse's and that isn't saying much considering she isn't played very much either.

The only time I've ever had salt thrown at me in this game in post-game messages is:
- I was a ######### survivor teammate. Sometimes I am.
- I camped as the killer, or was perceived to be camping. (Typically, I "patrol" hooks)
Other than those two situations, I've never, as the killer, had a survivor message me after a game to make fun of my skills. I just think it requires way too much time and effort to send messages on PS4 otherwise.
So I find it a little suspect that you are getting a enough salt messages post game to warrant a manifesto like this post.

I have never seen a 4 man DS squad... Are they a unicorn or something? 🦄Tsulan said:You know that survivors have 12 lives and that 4x DS add 4 more lives?
People keep talking like it's common but in the 4.5 months I've been playing, PS4 btw, I have never seen it.
Now I'm not saying it's never happened but it seems so rare.
Are ya'll gonna go after unbreakable next? What about Deliverance?

Great points however your using logic and people are gonna be pi**ed and throw hissy fits because they want an easy game.kandalph said:First of all DS It's really not OP
I'm playing on PS4 both killer and survivorAs a killer (usually pig)
most times get 4k (rank 3) and even if they all have DS it's fairly easy to get em' because it literally works only once, you're complaining about one stun per game if they hit it and up to 4 if you are really slow going to hook and they all have it, which is pretty rare.As a survivor
It's really not that great of a perk. you get small asf skill checks which (at least on ps4) 65% of the time warps over the whole skill check otherwise it's nice if you hit it... until you realise he's right back on you.please stop complaining and learn to play the game.
applies to other perks aswell, don't know any op perk because there isn't any
NOED - find the totem or open doors before killer gets to you
SC - It's pretty slow and really not that op it's just good if the killer isn't on you, which he usually is if you're injured or you get saved from a hook and there is a guy already healing you
Pallet Looping - don't whine, just break the pallet or outsmart him
You my friend are much braver than I.
Good Luck 🤞 -

Isn't this basically the same as what Face camping used to be except only on certain maps?It was not certain maps, The killer used to be able to completely negate someone from being pulled off of any hook on any map. SWF is in the game.
Lobby dodging is holding the game hostage because a player doesn't want there to be a difficult match. I'm not talking toxic as there is no proof of it given the game didn't even have a chance to be played.
Therefore a user's experience is literally on the loading screen waiting to load into the killer lobby. Only to then be dodged and have to go through this again and again.
Not sure how old you are but it's like getting the old Microsoft Explore dialogue box that says your download will be complete in 15s...1min. 6000045678654min. Then a hourglass icon that just spins.
I can completely understand WHY killers don't want to play SWF. I get it, however, the point still remains that it is in the game.
This is how killers punish SWF.
How would you change SWF? What changes do you think SWF should have? Do you think said changes to SWF will stop most lobby dodging?
I am not asking about perk changes but what can be done to SWF, specifically, to make the game more appetizing to play.
If you honestly think dodging a lobby is taking the game hostage you're a moron.
Let me explain it simply, taking the game hostage is when a killer or other urvivor blocks survivors in an area for a long period of time without an intent to kill/move or if a survivor gets into an area of the map where the killer is unable to hit them and abuses it.
Does dodging lobby fit into what I just explained above ..... no. It's not taking the game hostage then
No one whether it be killer or survivor should be punished for opting out of a lobby deciding to bail on a game in progress is a different story.
You see it as when a match is started.
I see the game starting as soon as a user loads the game up.
I see where we differ and how you could perceive that the term, if only looked at it from your prospective, is incorrect. Hence my analogy, that was intended for one to understand a different point of view.
I'm happy you have an opinion however I didn't throw anything around. I do also realize you may have encountered people with who "throw around" words but my view was pretty clear, with a nostalgic analogy to boot!
Had you read what I said I am pretty sure you could see nothing in my response was thrown in half hazardly.
Any word in any context can have a variety of meaning.
Language, to its credit, can have words that illuminate and elevate the ambiguous and tedious. Context and intent, to their credit, can be personified and personalized to create meaning. All of which, in my argument were pretty clear on exactly why I see it from an alternative perspective.
Please don't assume that because *I don't hold your view I'm wrong without first understanding my point of view. -

Have you played around rank reset? Killers don't care nor survs when they DC. At least with survs you can use their offerings when they dc.Mringasa said:Killers are fine being able to pick and choose lobbies. How about having 2 queues? If killer wants to play only randoms then they can.
What we will mostly likely find is that even with the option most survs will SWF and killers will have no lobbies.
Killers will then complain that there are no lobbies.
Common sense would dictate that they won't play the game.
OR and more likely...
Killers will STILL lobby dodge.
It seems the issue isn't/ever was SWF.
They tried with KYF but there isn't an upside for either side playing. It isn't ranked and there is no BP.
Punish lobby dodging and you'll make Killer's feel helpless. Don't punish it and Survs will find something else to do because they can't play.
Sounds like 80/20 should apply only that the 80% are what keep the game going.
There is no happy medium, yet I have hope though. There is a lot of great ideas and feedback.
It's just a sticky situation...

There's so much stupid whining goes on about "toxicity" and "salt" - most of it is just that people can't take defeat. if you don't like the aftergame chat (which is usually pleasant btw), say gg and quit right away. If you have problems with being camped, tunneled, moried etc, either learn how not to be camped and tunneled and moried, or just bloody go and play some other game. And if you play killer and you feel you can't take any more teabagging, hookrushing, flashlights, bodyblocking: see above. Lord Jesus, some players are so eager to run to dev Mommy and dev Daddy instead of manning up, accept they've lost a game and move on to the next.
Really, you play a game where a brutal and devious killer is out to brutally and deviously murder you, and when you're brutally and deviously murdered you sob about it? You know what you signed up for, don't you?
Dbd is best when it's crazy competitive: ruthless high rank killers, organized flashlight squads and all that jazz. Get frustrated, furious, angry, and when the game's over, take a deep breath and say gg, even when (especially when) you failed miserably.
There is no toxicity in this game. Some of you guys have no idea what real toxicity is. -

@Vietfox why are you bringing my 'skills' into conversation. You are being toxic, what rank are you? Id like to know just for credibility console this explains a lot @yeet
Yup, bought it 2 weeks ago cause my laptop is being fixed. Got the same rank there btw.
rank 1 isn't difficult nor impressive, one of my friends was rank 1 in his second week of playing killer, and soon after for survivor, and I have been perpetually rank 1 since release
You act like console players are worse when really it’s just the hardware that’s worse , same game same objective. What I hate is how these other guys call @Vietfox out , he proves himself and then it gets brushed off to the side. That right there is why we can’t have intelligent conversations on this forum, we have a guy who like myself plays both sides but just because he plays survivor more than killer it’s immediately discredited, what I would like to know is if rank one is so easy and all these people are so terrible then what is all the bitching about? Which is it? Is it so easy anyone can get there or so hard nobody can win it seems like the narrative always changes to suit people’s arguments on here when they get trapped in a corner
Its not about being "better" or "worse".
But a true gamer that wants to get into a game will buy a PC and play more competitively.
Ofc you cant really say that or console players will come with their torches, but please face reality (look at the console tournaments for example....)
For the sake of a good discussion what's is a "true gamer"?
Last I checked Pong was the first "console" type game so consoles should be also considered true gamers no?
Is it the argument how much a PC costs that makes one a "true gamer"? So consoles, mobile phones, tablets, shoot bingo for that matter aren't gamers?
Are we talking about who was considered the first "true gamers" because PC certainly wasn't it. Stock markets been around far to long for them not to be included so has gambling.
There is an entire state, who's sole existence, is predicated on "gaming" and they have been around loooong before PC.
Is your point to say that because you have a PC somehow you are better? Or that no one else's experience or actual history matters so long as you have a PC you can check the "true gamer" box.
My point is, we are ALL true gamers because we love to play. Where do you stand? -

By nerf survivors do you mean take away everything that makes them fun or fix the mehcanics of the game which doesnt only involve survivors as the problem.lets talk about those mechanics that were not originally in the games design that are "fun" survivor broken as f... mechanics , SWF was never in the game to start with , they added it because survivors whined enough about it and then because they are afraid to balance around what it brought to the table has thrown the balance of power completely out the window . Now if I even decide to play a killer I have to deal with the 3and 4man swf ds/sb/sc/adr junkies over and over or play the lobby dodge simulator .
Then we have the mechanics of not all killers are designed to be good at all ranks , this is where skill plays into it , some of the less skilled killers just plain suck it at high ranks even with a skilled player using them . Then we get daily quests for those same killers that blow at high ranks or have been nerfed into oblivion . this makes for some great fun as a killer , nothing like doing freddy quest against a 4man swf tryhard group at rank 2 .
Then we have the deranking groups whos only real skill is the use swf to bully low rank killers with their p3 tricked out tryhard groups , I don't think ive ever heard anyone complain about people doing that before …
or how about those who use the swf groups to get their level 2 buddies into rank 16 killer matches , because we all know that a rank 16 killer is soo op that a skilled rank2 survivor stands little chance , once again we haven't heard about this happening either have we ….
now let me see since ive been playing survivor for the past several months mostly what have I seen there …
SWF 3 mans who ignore and use the 4th as bait . I see this one regularly . they come up to where I am and start making noise blooms for the killer to come my way so they can run off and keep their friends safe . I don't think we have heard of these things happening before either...
either way to me the biggest and longest running f'ed up mechanic in the game is swf , because they refuse to do anything about balance around it . Just add the voice coms to the game already and then balance around what they bring and stop cowering in a corner from the pro swf toxic tards .

This is a classic example of the flawed decision making of consequentialism. People THINK they know what will happen, so they make a decision without considering the deontological aspect. Most people who cherry pick lobby’s are ignorant and make a uniformed decision. Simple as that.
Leave the game with killers who will actually commit to a match.

You can only use DS once.The_Crusader said:@Eveline said:
I find noed, devour hope and moris same as some survivor stuff that killers find op.Look at this. DS can only be used once unlike noed or devour hope. Now killers will jump in to say but totems can be easily find which is not a case in every game with different teammates. Sometimes as a survivor you can't counter the killer depending on the team but I don't go around saying killers are op.
lmfao
Devour Hope in 99.9% of cases is gone LONG beofore even 3 tokens pops up, nevermind 5.
NOED I would agree with it's very strong and can feel very cheap. Though as people say it can be countered before it even activates. Decisive Strike can not. Plus you usually get multiple DS per game and it's quite common to be hit with it twice due to hook placement. That's 2 extra chases and hits required which is equivalent to chasing a survivor from full health but not getting a hook out of it. It can add the time of an extra generator on if there's a good pallet/loop nearby.
I play killer and survivor and killer is by far the more stressful. I'd gladly get rid of NOED if we could be done with DS, Adrenaline and all those kind of perks.
I don't mind the killer perks, add ons or offerings, they add to the drama and intensity of the game.
People often talk about "crutch whatever perk" from each side. I look at it as a tool being used. Often I run into people who don't use the popular stuff and they are usually the most skilled at the game but also can be very mean to the killer/survivor.
I think a lot of it comes down to behavior. If all the perks, offerings etc. were the same but people treated each other better then the game would be more fun to play.

Let me get this straight :
All the tools he mentionned are toxic by essence.
Because it's in the game doesn't mean that they're legit, balanced and not toxic.
Back then peoples defended Infinites loops with this argument.
Since our Devs doesn't seem to willingly fix these flaws, it's all up to the playerbase to not bath in this toxic mess and enjoying it.
I personally only used once the "Machine-gun build" (STBFL+Unrelenting) back then.
It felt cheesy as [BAD WORD] and never used it again.
While survivors...
(Other Killer can be toxic, but they don't even have half the tools Survivors have to act that way, and are in general way more mature . )
But you know it already i guess, and conviniently act like you don't understand/ don't know.
Having a toolbox isn't toxic. Neither are cosmetics.
I'm not "acting" in any certain way. The topic of discussion is the current problem of lobby dodging.
All they pointed out was that Survivors shouldn't use perks, cosmetics or tools to play the game.
And that sounds reasonable? -
