Haven't been seeing those types on PS4 as of today and thank god. A Ghost Face using half or none of his power is a weak Ghost Face main.

Actually it's a very optimal way to play, with sloppy and nurses hiding your terror radius and sneaking up on people it's way more reliable than the stalking. Especially since you can be broken out out of stealth through walls because his power is broken.

  • @TheDiz said:

They find a spot to hide after hooking the first survivor since they can crouch and have no terror radius and tunnel until everyone dies or DC's. He's literally a Meyers that can crouch and hide like pig with zero draw back. Becoming the king of tunneling since he has no terror radius he has unlimited insidious....am I the only one that sees this? I can't even blame people for DCing and it's disgusting to hear the killer brag afterwards for being a trash killer and what I consider an exploit to be honest.... Does anyone else see this or am I just getting really unlucky? I'm rank 5 after loosing a few ranks trying rift challenges...

I hardly see GF stalk people.. his power kinda sucks on that side I more see them just use it to hide the terror radius and red stain to get those grabs or first hits.

I used two meta perks (although Ruin is more of a required perk since not running it all but guarantees a brutal killer or worse result) and Sloppy Butcher, which is a great perk but I wouldn't call it meta on its own. Remember Me is decent and it was used only to guarantee an obsession. How does that equate to their entire team running the same tryhard build with the same meta perks with only one person having two different perks, that are also both meta...

I was talking about ruin and bbq. And the mori makes it a 3v1 which tilts the scales back to about even. If your that worried about facing survivors with all meta perks. Run mera perks yourself.

I'm sure the rank 19 killer I ended up with a couple of days ago really enjoyed the 5 gen chase I gave him.

It's silly those high ranks should never get into a low rank lobby unless its swf. It's not a fun experience for the survivors and I cant see how it can be fun for the killer to smack them instantly down because they dont path optimally.

You really want matchmaking based on time spent playing the game, over the current somewhat skill based rank system? Anyone can spend 2000 hours on the game and get devotion 5, doesnt mean they are good, very bad idea

Anyone can get to red rank survivor. All it takes is time and with the new rank reset more and more potatoes are gonna make it to red ranks because they get set back less. So in the grand scheme it doesn't matter much.

Why do you like to gen rush any killer that isn’t a potato ? Survivors do realise it’s a 0 pip for all of you when you gen rush ? Got to love the logIc of dealing with killers ....

What else is there to do? We dont have any other objectives to do. And it helps against the slugging killers.

Easy DCs if the survivor misses their DS skillcheck because of it.

Unnerving presence is the one that shrinks skill check... overwhelming is the crappy one that increases item usage while in terror radius.

  • @The_Bootie_Gorgon said:

Players are weird. They really are. They make up silly rules and expect others to follow them. I recently had a match where a player started flaming me because I ran NOED on Oni. Apparently it's a rule if a killer is capable of one-shot attacks they aren't allowed to use NOED. So from now on Hillbilly, Myers, Ghostface, Oni, and Leatherface aren't allowed to use NOED. Because.... reasons?

Tbf if you are running noed on Billy I'm gonna laugh my ass off.. must not be your main lol.

As the title suggests Breakout is really fun to use but it literally does nothing, using it almost non-stop with Mettle of Man trying to get people to wiggle out and in a total of maybe 40 games 2 people have wiggled out successfully. Both times required Mettle of Man procs to take an extra hit and 3 missed killer swings. The perk saves literally 3.2 seconds of wiggling out of 16 seconds. In a world where hooks spawn so close to each other and an average of 10 hooks per map I would think it being 25% wiggle increase and a 2 meter increase (Up from 6 meters to 8 meter) would help this perk be viable instead of just depressing.

Ya but with a swf, with 4 oak offerings and sabo boxes it can be really annoying I'm sure.

  • @Umbrae_pk said:

Slow vaults have been added into the game a while back, and ever since then us survivor mains have been needlessly suffering more.

I'm more than sure the only reason they were added was to nerf loops. Though even though that was it's intended purpose it's not what it's been used for.

Since the slow vault animation is so slow, since you get sucked back to the window after you'd vaulted it, and since we know that if you're too close to the window you'll get hit, it basically guarantees a free hit for the killer.

If you round a corner and vault a window and the killer can't predict that then they don't deserve that hit. But of course they get it, thanks to the slow vault.

There should honestly the a perk that completely removes slow vaults or something, make me use up a perk slow, I don't care! As long as the slow vaults are no more!

I'm guessing you mean medium vaults.... slow vaults are the vaults that make no sound. Medium vaults were put into the game to stop window abuse and make it knowledge/skill based.

To be fair.. your scored the most points... and idk if you popped or not.. but you had some meta perks and a mori.. so I feel like it should've been even. You could've just moried whoever was getting on your nerves since you said they were on death hook.

I'll be happy to justify my stance :D

Hex Ruin: is inconsistent and only works against people that can't hit greats or if it's a 3 o'clock skillcheck, here's a decent example of skill checks having an 8% chance of occuring

    https://youtu.be/hxkk5sH6zRI

Nurse's: it's a good perk in it's own right but a majority of the time high ranking survivors don't heal which makes it a waste of a perk slot and survivors tend to not heal in your terror radius. (nurses is only good for stealth and small terror radius killers, making it heavily situational)

Thanatophobia: It had the potential to be a good perk on it's own with the -6% action speed per injured survivor but you either need Sloppy or DL just to make it a bit consistent

Bamboozle: A dead perk in today's meta/current state if the game, rarely see people use it. (Not saying it's bad but just needs a little more number values)

Enduring is good but weak on it's own. (the only buff it should receive is that the reduced stun should affect DS and HO)

But you double buffed ruin. Not only did you make it safe for an amount of time you made great skill checks still reduce gen progression? Also nurse having callbacks if your injured..that's crazy. The pig and wraith ultra rare addons give the wall hack but they are only 16m.. and you have to use an ultra rare addon..

  • The point is people would still do it and it would punish everyone. The killers would sit in lobbies while survivors constantly left and came in looking for their friends.

  • Yes people would try... meanwhile game queues for the whole community would become horrible... so there's that.

  • Can we not just get a second objective? Sitting on gens is so boring. I understand the issue that people hate quick games but there is literally nothing else to do. I can do 2 gens and break a couple totems and the game is done. Prolly 6-8min. And this is with no toolboxes and maybe having a chase with the killer and an unhook or two.

  • @xllxENIGMAxllx said:

@Jukenobi Bamboozle don't even counter most of those loops because there is windows in each side. plus yes i drop chase very often and you know what another survivor do the same.

People like you don't understand the point and it's better that none of you reply, if is for saying this kind of BS. Loops shouldn't be an infinite they should be here to survive not being safe for 5 gens like it or not.

    Only badham and hawkings isn't.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/905489#Comment_905489

Survive yes, looping killers for oblivion no !. Loops shouldn't be connected and reduce the skill by a lot. It's like telling me that haddonfield infinite loop is the most balanced on the game. I don't know what rank you are but me i'm rank 1. I know how to play man, i know when to drop chase killers shouldn't feel the need to drop the chase because some maps strong connected design.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/905497#Comment_905497

Macmillan are most the one with three connected tiles. Suffocation Pit is the most painful map.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/905558#Comment_905558

If you feel that is normal you are probably a survivor main. There is no point for you to comment. The game is not even balanced for a 50% escape/kill. Most of the data devs give us are wrong. Many include DC and suicide.

Play Killer with those tiles connected with a strong team then come back and tell me how you feel.

The devs didn't count any game with a DC in it, in those stats.

  • @csandman1977 said:

I am more of a stealthy player and after using both bond and empathy, i say empathy is the better perk.

It's aura reading is map wide just about. You can tell when people are being chased and you are safe to do gens without worries. For the times that no one is injured, spine chill lets me know when the killer is in my general area. The combination of the two give me so much situational awareness, its easy to stay safe throughout the match.

    Thoughts?

I would say bond is better but I'm now liking kindred after the buff is really good. Helps a lot in solo to stay focused and know when to save and when to stay on the gens.

Funny enough; statistically it's far more dangerous, the most killer favored map in the game actually.

Except for the demo's underground lab; but that is still new ish so it doesn't really count just yet.

That's because survivors dont want to learn it... it's so safe I can run a killer for 5 gens easy.. going up and down it spawns atleast 5 god pallets sometimes more if the pallets spawn behind the stairs downstairs.

  • @Liruliniel said:

Bring Unbreakable. People need to learn to deal with a Oni. Lucky Break and No Mither literally nerf him. If you keep playing the same against newer killers as older ones your going to be underperforming. The newer Killers seem to be forcing Survivors to adapt anymore.

He gets 100 max blood orbs on the map and than they start with a cycle of oldest replaced for the newest ones.

Everyone just needs to bring toolboxes and genrush the Oni mains. Sprint burst also murders him, until he gets those first two hits he is loopable AF...

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Haddonfield is the most likely. One one of the safest maps as it has the most invincible loops.

Change the stun from 5 seconds to 4 seconds. It was only changed to 5 seconds from 3 seconds because Enduring countered it.

Or, make it be disabled if you attempt the unhook action. Can't complain about tunneling if you're unhooking someone and it being disabled in this manor is completely in the survivor's control, not the killer.

Or, disable it after generators are complete or at least exit gates are powered. Can't complain about tunneling when it's literally the end of the game, so killers who do decide to not tunnel all game, aren't rewarded for their civil playstyle with being slapped in the face (literally) at the end game.

Any one or even all of these changes would make DS more bearable and it would still be very good, imo.

I would actually be fine with reducing the stun to 4 seconds. That makes 1 second stuck in animation and a 3 second stun which is right in line with headon.

I would also be good with it being turned off if the survivor tries to hook save. As you said it would be totally on the survivors hands at that time.

I would also be fine with the perk time being changed to 30, 35 and 40 seconds respectively. Still wastes the killers time but doesn't give the full minute of god mode.

I dont believe he is. He is responding to Yoi that said the same thing but to survivors. There are things on both sides that are a bit to strong. But I dont know how to balance DS without breaking it.

    People will still abuse it.

Wasn't there supposed to be a pallet rework for all maps in order to shorten loops and minimize pallets per area? Did that just get scrapped completely?

I do agree any Killer game from Rank 1-6 is no longer enjoyable, and using the same three killers gets extremely boring for both sides after so long.

No they are still working on it. Springwood was the first one. Supposedly next map is supposed to be a rework but I'm not sure which.

I play green myself and have rarely played with reds since the last matchmaker updates.

Some say that there's not enough red / purple players so if you dodge every not full red lobby you simply never play.

I'm always red rank, there are plenty on xbox that que times aren't even that long. Considering the are throwing low rank survivors in there the times arent even better.

  • I would be fine with this. Yes it takes 2 perks but it's a hex, just cleanse it.

I just played the game where i got facecamped, farmed, and then downed, farmed, and then killed all within 1 minute. then in the post game chat the killer says it was “for a challenge.” seriously?

how unfair is it to make these challenges that encourage mean, unfair and boring gameplay??? seriously it’s ridiculous.

    please, fix your game!!

Camping is a strategy.. its sucky and not a good strategy but ya. If you dont like getting farmed either play swf with people with BT or run Dstrike and deadhead to help mitigate it.

On the killer side, body blocking is very situational and most times not worth. Unless the hook is far it's not gonna do anything except give the killer free hits and it still takes atleast two blocks if not three. If the do wiggle out you injured everyone so your job is easier.

If your having a lot of trouble with survivors body blocking then run iron grasp, agitation or mad grit.

The only way they could totally stop it is by not allowing low ranks to team up with high ranks which would be fine with me. I don't think it is a matchmaking problem every time, I think it is usually swf

It should be unless is a full survive with friends that they cant que into a lobby with another survivor or the killer that is more than 6 ranks away from their rank.. just like the supposed killer matchmaking rule.

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891390#Comment_891390

I get it and I totally understand your point. The problem is that your point is the exact reason why they will not bring it back. They don't want lobby dodging. So in the same post that you are asking them to bring it back, you are giving them ammunition not to do that.

Well then they need to fix matchmaking. Having rank 15-20 getting in the same lobby as red ranks is silly.

  • I laugh at how everyone is like nerf BL cause it makes maps broken like Haddonfield. I then loop the killer through the houses without BL and it's still cancerous.

BL may have been to strong but it's the maps that are the real problem. They were supposed to do reworks instead of a new map. They really need to get back on those reworks. Most maps are survivor sided heavily, a few are killer sided with maybe only the autohaven maps being semi-balanced.

  • @FabV said:

If you're red rank, you should'nt be paired with green/yellow unless they're SWF with purple/red, no ? Or the matchmaker is broken again ?

Anyway, if you want to play with reds only, play SWF. Otherwise just try do the best for the team, get some BPs and move on.

When has the matchmaker ever been working? Besides rank 17-20 can be in any lobby which is stupid by design.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

I know what you may be thinking, "DS is already way too powerful." But listen. As DS stands, it is a perk used to escape the killer's grasp through succeeding a skill-check available if being tunneled or you get picked up within 40-60 seconds after being unhooked. This is great; this part of the perk is absolutely fine.

Then what's wrong you may ask? Well, what if the killer brings in a Mori and you have DS ready to go? Well...you're screwed.

I've had so many games where I go against a tunneling killer with an Ivory or Ebony yet my DS is activated.

What I think should be added is the ability to succeed a skill-check to prevent a Mori when the perk is active, successfully preventing the killer from Mori tunneling. The stun would be 10 seconds, giving you some actual distance and it would remove the killer's ability to mori you at all because he's a tunneling bastard and doesn't deserve it.

I just think this would be a welcome addition to prevent killers from bringing in ivorys to tunnel down the survivor that gave them the hardest time and Mori them. It's complete bull and isn't fair at all to the skilled survivors.

Um no... why would that be a thing. If your that concerned deadhard to a locker and waste his time or use your ds. And a 10 second stun is ridiculous.

You say a mori isn't fair. But a killer who is killing survivors and is chucked by a key escape is fine? There are items on both sides that drastically change the balance, you have to adapt.

Or you know, dont get found first or dont get hooked. You already know when they bring in a mori so you can be extra vigilant.

    Dear community,

As you probably know, update 3.4.0 was supposed to come with a whole bunch of exclusive cosmetics including 4 very special cosmetics : The Huntress' Hound Mask / David King's New Year Donkey / Kate Denson's Free Song Bird Top / Hillbilly's Pro-pain Hammer.

2 of these cosmetics were from the Howling Grounds Lunar New Year event.

2 of these cosmetics were from the Summer BBQ event.

As of the release of update 3.4.0, the devs have decided to withdraw these 4 cosmetics from the batch they were giving us for free because the players that earned them fair and square during the event didn't feel satisfied that they would just be given for free to everyone (which is TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE). I would have done the same.

I am however disappointed to not be able to get these cosmetics. I have been following this game since shortly before the Halloween Chapter came out (I discovered the game on YouTube). At the time, my computer was an Acer Aspire V5 (try to run DBD on that !). Furthermore, I didn't have the necessary revenues to afford Dead By Daylight or any of its content.

Still, I was following the game because I felt like it deserved to grow (and look where its come).

I was up all night to see the 10 000 000 th coin added to the counter for Feng Min's New Year polo and I was so happy that the player base at that time had teamed up to earn something together !

I personally think that some of us who didn't get the cosmetics deserve them as well as the players who put all their efforts in the game at the time of the events.

This is why I came up with this COMPROMISE :

When update 2.0.0 released, the devs opened the in-game Store, allowing us to buy cosmetics and DLCs for Auric Cells or Iridescent Shards. Their goal (and you can check back their 2.0.0 dev stream on YouTube) was to make sure that there was a way for players to grind points to access content rather than making everything cost money. However, they were aware that some people weren't into grinding points and they made everything affordable for real money as well to give you the choice (Farm or Pay).

As of today, most of the events cosmetics are available in the in-game Store (Hallowed Blight, Hallowed Catalyst, Moonrise, Ugly Sweaters (wasn't an event but the sweaters were seasonal outfits) and even the All Hallow's Eve event included the nurse's pumpkin head cosmetic that was handed out for free).

WHAT I WANT (and probably others) : I would like the 4 withdrawed cosmetics to be in the in-game Store, in accordance to what the devs intended to do with their game in the 2.0.0 update. Of course, to be FAIR : I would also like all these cosmetics to be worth Auric Cells ONLY (as the other events cosmetics are).

Please, if you feel like this compromise is worth it, rate this post up. It would help me a lot :'D

Let us all keep the game fair and give everyone even chances of obtaining what others achieved in the past. Even if we are late to these events, us joining the game (and I've only been playing since June 2019) means that we are also contributing to the player base growth and we shouldn't be left aside.

    Hear us out !

If you've been reading all the way, congratulations and thank you !

    Best Regards,

    MrGolden32467

I'm fine with them being put in the store for actual auric cells and not shards. That way those of us that earned them dont feel that everyone else who didn't put in the time and effort to grind for them get them for free. They actually have to spend hard earned money for them.

  • @Miss_Britannia said:

GODDAMN IT. The event cosmetics should be available for EVERYBODY. What about the people who were busy when the event took place or had just found out about the game? Still don’t want people the cosmetics? Smells like elitism to me.

Dang some people are just greedy. We just got a crap ton of free cosmetics. Doesn't mean they have to give everyone all the cosmetics.

Now someone else posted that they could be put in the store for auric cells only. I would be fine with that because atleast they have to spend money on what we worked for. Giving it away for free is kinda bs tho.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891944#Comment_891944

It's not the matchmaking in those cases, it is a swf group. The game can't stop a rank 20 from teaming up with a rank 1.

Negative. Ranks 17-20 can be in any lobby. The devs did it that way so new people wouldn't have to wait. Have queued up with a friend, we were both rank 1 and we got 2 rank 18 teammates. The game was terrible because we got a red rank killer..

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/889176#Comment_889176

Again, this is why they are removing it, lobby dodging. They are not going to leave something in the game that gives anyone a reason to leave the lobby. They want lower queue times.

Well it's their fault for making it possible for brand new players to be able to que up with red ranks. It's like they are trying to kill the game. If I was solo surviving and kept getting red rank killers when I first started I would prolly quit the game.

  • @SammyWasabi said:

This is just what I think could be beneficial to Decisive Strike, and make it less oppressive in situations when killers can't do anything, like when someone is downed in an exit gate, but they have Decisive Strike, which the killer can't do anything about. Please send feedback, I greatly appreciate suggestions.

Decisive Strike will activate when you are pulled off the hook, this perk is activated for 40 seconds. This perk deactivates, if any survivor except for yourself is damaged in any way. Whenever you are picked up from the dying state, you will have to hit a skill check to escape. Decisive Strike will not activate if you are grabbed from an action, or from a locker. This would fix most of the situations in which Decisive Strike is uncounterable.

Another solution I've thought of is

Decisive Strike doesn't activate when you are grabbed from an action or a locker, Decisive Strike does not proc when the last generator is powered.

These are just thoughts to make Decisive Strike less oppressive, but to keep it's ability to punish tunnelling, not give survivors invincibility from being hooked for 60 seconds. Please, give your feedback, and suggest your ideas as well.

    Thanks.

The when another survivor is damaged in any way is a silly counter. Also deactivating when the last gen is completed? What? If this is about balance we can reduce the time from 60 seconds to 40 seconds.

If you are that worried, either tunnel early into the game to get rid of it or dont tunnel at all.

  • @yandere777 said:

If you are unhooked by another survivor it activates for 60 seconds. If you are healed to full health, take part in a completed gen or down from a protection hit the perk deactivates.

Like this theres still some cheese but there's also counterplay. Getting full healed will basically sorta counter its effectiveness at endgame if you have adrenaline proc off hook. A protection his is obvious, you aint being tunneled if you are literally protecting someone.

You can't possibly consider the protection hit a smart thing. They are so broken as long as the game thinks you are close enough to a hirt survivor and you get hit you get a protection hit. I have gotten them from across the map from anyone.

yeah you can. Till that timer gets low you can do whatever you want, then sprint off to pause it and mend.

Ya but before you could do it as long as the killer was getting looped near you.. I've completed a whole gen before mending.

  • Idk.. its kinda a lateral move. At least you can't do a gen inside terror radius anymore.

Do you play Legion or Killer?

Actually, you know what? I don't want to even start this conversation.

Legion was already running around hitting people with a wooden spoon. Now they took that spoon and gave him a nerf bat. R.i.p Legion

Well, the thumb rule is, you are near you save him as soon as you see/know the killer isnt there, you are far, you stay on gen unless there are big troubles

But that's not what always happens lol.. I'll be across the map and realise that no one is saving and they go to state 2... feels bad
