Seeing his direction doesn't matter when he's moving at 230% (without add ons), and turning 90 degrees (or more depending on exploits) around a corner with Oni's hitbox. You have to guess which exploits he's using and which direction he'll bounce. And even if you guess right, you'll probably go down in a few seconds because he's still 115% base speed.
He chews through pallets just as fast or faster than Billy. Definitely faster with the UR add on.
Killers that counter holding W shouldn't also counter literally every other strat, AND have the best map mobility in the game.
it does if you're in safe zone and windows make it esier and his 230% abillity doesn't give him opportunities to go through every wall and it's not permanent without cd. 90 degrees aren't the exploit and without lag flicks he cannot turn more than 90 degrees. As for "guess", that's mutual because he has to guess too. He gets some cd if he misses his hit.
Bubba has the fastest animation while the Blight has the average time to break pallets even after his rush.
Ironically, if some maps have a lot of safe zones then holding w helps a lot because you can just pre-drop pallets. If you want to play against high mmr survivors your killer should get the best mobility.

Ah yes, the old "just don't get hit" strat. Never mind with the exploits/"techs" he counters 90% of tiles and you can't hold W against him. Oh and chews through pallets so pre-dropping isn't effective. So I guess I'll just hope for a map with a strong main building and never leave it?
His counter was supposed to be that he was forced to play the m1 loop game at tiles. Either his power should be adjusted to make that possible, or he should have 110% movement speed to align with other killers that are intended to rely on their power over m1.
he doesn't counter safe zones because you can see his direction. the only exploit which should be fixed is his lag flicks and all of his other exploits were fixed a long time ago. you can't hold w against a lot of killers and the only killer who can chew through them is hillbilly, not the blight.
-
again every bad survivor wants the devs to babysit them. blight's addons are fine and you can counter his ring by playing safely.

I LOVE TO PLAY AGAINST NURSE, all the strategy you have to do survive, even though I usually lose is funny
well yeah because looping is boring

You can’t make solo queue any better than it currently is. Some think buffing Solo Queue by giving them more information would make things better, but the fact of the matter is that potato survivors are going to potato.
With the current MMR, the best that you can do is look out for yourself and try to escape as much as possible so the game could eventually pair you up with better teammates. If you have to be selfish and let people die, so be it.
yeah even if you take kindred potatoes will dick around
-
raise your mmr and then you don't need to do that because every solo survivor knows every map at high mmr

Stretched resolution allows survivors to see over and around obstacles that they're not supposed to.
Unless you're saying True is playing with stretched res, which allowed his camera angle to widen to the point where he could get blinded there, in which case it's kind of his own fault.
@Acromio said:

Which is cheating.
i'm against that cheating

But as soon as True catches on to that strat, he catches one off guard, picks them up while having his camera clip through a wall, and he still got blinded.
That smells more like hacking.
thats called stretched resolution
-
the game has always been survivor sided because 4 survivors will bring more money than 1 killer. That is nothing personal, it's just business.

again that's not a difference in the film. Both in Ringu and The Ring, Sadako/Samara are both played by actual actors. Samara in the American remake is not a 3d model. She's an actor with some CGI and a ######### ton of make-up. An unrealistic 3D model would be something like Goro in the new Mortal Kombat, who's pretty much all CGI. Now I'm not saying the Ring is better than Ringu. It's not. But saying it sucks is a far stretch. If you want to see a movie that sucks check out Slender Man or I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer
you didn't understand me. i meant to say that she looks like a static 3d model because of special effects while Sadako looks like a natural ghost.
The first part of I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer isn't that bad.

It is ridiculous to complain about a bad map for a Killer who can take on almost every Survivor they face.
it's not if some maps make him look bad

If they're going by the Japanese version which they clearly are then the killer should reflect that version more. It's still creepy either way and fear is all based on the person. What's creepier a girl with long hair coming at you with a water damaged dress and pale or a girl with long hair coming at you who looks weird but not dead it depends on if you're going for straight fear or unease.
sadako looks pale and dead and has no fingernails while samara looks like a zombie and i'm not scared of an unrealistic static 3d model.

Ringu and The Ring are almost the exact same thing..................
both movies have different atmosphere and those same scenes have different details and perfomance. Sadako's adoptive father doesn't kill himself in the original movie, Sadako uses only unkown sounds to warn her victims while Samara says "7 days" and there are more different stuff in the original movie.
-
No! The remake sucks. An Onryo has the same clotes after her death and that's why she looks clean and tbh Sadako looks more realistic than Samara.

I disagree. Some good players also stop playing those killers because it's not fun anymore.
I personally like nurse, but that cooldown is killing me.
yeah her cooldown kills her on indoor maps
-
Imhotep as a killer

it's very balanced. perhaps you're at low mmr.

Punishing people for wanting to play the game with their friends is a horrible idea that will just turn away a large portion of players.
Instead, the developers need to buff solo survivor to the level of SWF and buff killers accordingly to compensate - which is what they said they were going to do a while ago now.
if they buff solos then it will be the same buff for swfs. basically swfs will be stronger after that.

If you pre-drop pallets you're not looping them though, are you? You're pre-dropping
that's why i said "at worst".
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2698795#Comment_2698795
And Pyramid Head and Nemesis have that, with Pyramid Head arguably better than Nemesis in this bracket. Bubba also has anti-loop, just in a different way. None of these killers are "weak" and they all have decent to amazing anti-loop capabilites.
they don't because their timing is predictable especially if pallets belong to safe zones. What way? You can loop Bubba very easy because you can pre-drop pallet at worst or get back to a safe distance to run in circles.

Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Bubba

Every licensed killer has average or below average anti loop mechanics anyway. At least 1 licensed killer should have it.

Yeah
I'm hoping it'll be a case of micromanaging different survivors from achieving secondary objectives, and if they don't achieve these objectives survivors cannot progress the game until they do (think active RBTs but they're actually threatening), something like a Death Timer that constantly ticks down unless you purify yourself with Rosemary
I've never seen the film or read the book.
basically doctor + nurse.
-
I dunno... She is a demigod and has a lot of powers.
-
@Vakka said:

What I'm saying is that Sadako and Kayako are very similar (albeit not exactly the same). The Spirit takes inspiration from both: Kayako with the movements and opened mouth, Sadako with standing upright + walking.
There are WAY better Japanese horror movies anyway. Case in point: Dark Water, One Missed Call, etc.
Getting another Hillbilly/Cannibal situation is NOT what I'm looking for.
They're different because Sadako is a demigod and she has more powers unlike Kayako.
Her power is a ripoff of Kayako's power. The Spirit runs and doesn't walk like Sadako, but the Nurse has the same pose and both of their faces aren't able to be seen..
It's not the same situation because Sadako is very different compared to Kayako's ripoff.
-
@Vakka said:
It's a little underwhelming TBH.
The Spirit is a great DBD-ver of the typical Japanese "bones crack-crack" "mouth open" pale, angry spirit trope. I don't really see a need for Kayako or Sadako except for the "license killer" bandwagon.
She isn't a typical onryo because the Spirit has the same features as Kayako tho.
-
Rin is a poor ripoff of Kayako anyway
-
@GannTM said:

Because Spirit was mostly inspired by ring girl and I assume she’ll have about the same power just like Bubba and Billy.
She was inspired by Kayako, not Sadako from Ringu. Kayako belongs to Ju-On.

Spirit is a poor ripoff of Kayako anyway

it does because if it affects hook rush then something should affect genrush
