    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/336881/i-think-this-is-a-popular-opinion-as-of-now-but

Probably ... but here is the kicker: you can just run Bond and Kindred and instantly play better! No need to turn it basekit and handing out 2 free slots. Its like people who insist on carrying an extra weapon instead of some protective item and then ask for a base armor increase because they take too much damage. The solution in this situation is not to increase basearmor, but to just pick up a shield.

I preach it like gospel, but apparently no one wants to hear it: my most successful soloQ build is Bond+Kindred+Open Handed+BT. The constant info at extended range is awesome and allows you to make pretty informed decisions of all kinds, and the wallhack of Kindred+OpenHanded is just insane. Its nearly half the map and the killer just can't mindgame you; heck its so useful that you might be tempted to let someone hanging :D

But here is the kicker: I use this build even when playing SWF, because people will tell you that SWF basically get this perks for free, but this people are sleeping on the fact that there is a big difference in hearing "the killer is chasing me, I am running towards shack!" and actually seeing every movement of it through walls and everything. This is so huge and you can't communicate that much via Discord to come close to this flow of information. Of course, other builds will offer vastly different abilities and more "fun" or "flashy" stuff, but I ask you to just try this simple build out for a couple of games and see for yourself that seeing is much more then hearing. And this aren't some obscure builds, every new player who invests like 50k BP into Dwight can combo Bond+Kindred.

The problem is just the stubborn resistance of people to actually play this combo. The promised action icons for everyone will be a step in the right direction, helping soloQ to play much more efficient and not waste all this time "guessing" if they should run to an unhooking, only to find out that two others had the same idea. But handing out powerful perks for free isn't the solution.

On a tangential note: WHY has this game no communication wheel and emotes? It is literally the only multiplayer game, one that heaviliy depends on team work btw, that doesn't even allow communication in its most basic form. And cute emotes would also sell like sliced bread in the shop, so everyone would be happy. THIS is something that is literally unexcusable. Give us a damn communications wheel with just the 5 basics like "follow me", "do gens", "thanks", "hide" and lets everayone do a cute dance or something. Yikes ...

meh people play builds like yours with 3 info perks but then get tunneled hard some matches and they go back to OTR, DS , exhaustion perks etc.. basekit kindred is not that much we need all 4 perk slots in solo Q not 2, that's why DS nerf is stupid too players don't run DS for fun it's a necessity

  • Kindred definitely, just seeing your team when someone is hooked is really basic, you can even remove killer's aura not sure why they think it's too much. Bond should stay a perk imo

even with all the chaos we have, 60% or so.

No way pinhead was highest at 60% in january, I would like to see his stats now especially vs solos, it must be 75%

  • Very bad changes, both self care and botany

  • @Jago said:

    Matchmaking is the only issue.

True after playing more I think it's the main issue, my teams have new players but killers are pretty good with sweat builds it's weird, had one game against a 2500 hours Artist and one player in the team had 20 hours played..

it's not cool but I suggest dodging lobbies with 0 prestige default outfit players, survivors queues are instant anyway

  • Well yes killers are buffed... automatically solo Q is even weaker . I'm playing killer until they help solos a bit, even with long queues it's still far less frustrating, and there are too many players abusing legion thana and very sweaty 4 slowdown builds from previous meta it's just not fun to play against these people

  • Why always nerfs ? Why not buff overcome from 2 seconds to 3, make other options more attractive instead of nerfing every decent perks

  • ok nvm I checked the wiki they changed it, they should revert old overcome when it could be activated if you're injured but under effect of endurance

  • Yes but it's the easiest exhaustion perk to use, it pairs well with lightweight, lucky break or healing builds, and I think it activates if you get hit withh off the record ? (not sure)

2.5 or 3 seconds duration could be fun tho

  • I'm just going to leave this here I think a few simple changes can help solo Q until a bigger patch:

    -DS revert to 5 seconds

    -Thanatophobia 4% per stacks

-eruption/call of brine/overcharge doesn't stack anymore, force you to choose one

    -probably revert bloodlust buffs too

I mean, i could also ask for his source...

I can only show my own matches. Which are almost the same as before the patch.

How many hours have you played the game ? You do realize your personal stats probably doesn't reflect average/casual dbd players (vast majority of playerbase), I'm close to 1000 hours playing both roles and i'm still pretty bad/average at survivor and looping

  • @Tsulan said:

Because survivor escape rate is still high. Despite what some people claim.

of course solo Q escape rate is through the roof right now.......... source ?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/336374/killer-queues-are-insanely-bad

I can’t speak for everyone but I personally would be willing to play if the reward was actually worthwhile. As it is I haven’t played since since the incentive got shut off. I’ve only logged in for the free bps. Solo queue was always the hardest role. Now they made it even harder AND are giving you half the reward you got with WGLF. Waste of time and not worth it at all. I’m not going to go playing a 20 minute legion game for only 20k bps.

exactly this it's not worth it at all, I didn't mind dying everygame in solo Q with a 100% bonus, it was cool and killer queue was fine with the bonus, don't tell me they're going to leave it like that for weeks ?

  • @BearMerchant said:

i'm getting killers that clearly have less loop knowledge than i do winning anyway because of the changes to bloodlust and the nerf to injury distance. many loops are now easy for killers to simply hold W at instead of learning how to mindgame them properly or breaking the pallet. they don't have to do anything.

imo they should never have touched the injury distance or bloodlust at all, it's leading to horrible situations where you can't even make it to a tile or loop before you go down again. it's especially bad when going up against hypermobile or projectile killers.

100% just played a match against blight it's actually a joke you can't even get to a loop, they need to revert the chase buffs not the generators

  • @Jasix said:

LOL why am I not surprised that people are complaining about something that only one side of the playerbase was receiving erroneously in multiple ways. You aren't OWED anything.. You don't DESERVE anything. It was not working as intended plain and simple. This feature was barely live for 1 day - so please stop acting like it was some long established thing which suddenly got taken away - for no reason. Entitled doesn't even cover a lot of the replies to this issue.

Chill we ask for it because killer queue is long atm and it was just fine with the bonus, survivors don't gain enough BP anyway they could just give a temporary bonus until it's fixed, it's not that big of a deal and would help killer queue

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3083282#Comment_3083282

review bombing is when you take a single issue with a game and organize people to give a game bad reviews specifically because of it, and specifically when its a timely issue. It should never be a single issue leading reviews of an entire game, but it especially should have a boycott mentality behind it. Like i said, its throwing a tantrum because you're not getting your way, and trying to create a mob mentality to use as backup.

Because killer wasn't that bad in previous update even with dead hard, never as bad as current survivor. Even before all these buffs good killer mains had already massive winrates and solo q low escape rate, this patch doesn't make any sense if it gets review bombed its deserved

  • Blight feels unfair too I played against 2-3 decent ones, you can't even get to a loop with these distance nerfs and his mobility, atleast he's kinda hard to play nurse is disgusting

  • Survivors throw games, killers let people escape and games with a DC are excluded from the stats... then they use it to balance the game

  • I mean they made camping and tunneling even more effective and you say people are overreacting... they should atleast hotfix DS back to 5 seconds until they balance the game properly, it's rly bad right now

  • I agree it's badly needed

Yes, manual ruin is an apt comparison. What made ruin so powerful was precisely that is was not manual. It happens with no input from the killer. With Call you have to go out of your way to kick the gen, hope no survivors are nearby so you get some value out of it, then get notifications from the gen while you're in a position to do something about them.

See all the mitigating factors here? The only reason it's considered a decent perk is because all the other regression ones were nerfed.

Yeah never said that it's better than old ruin, I agree actually I said "op" in the sense that it's just stronger than other perk options, if killer has good 3 gens and stack these 3 perks it can be extremely hard to deal with, have you played against it ?

it doesn't matter anyway it will probably stay like that

  • @YOURFRIEND said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3081971#Comment_3081971

You know it doesn't do anything if you tap the gen for a quarter of a second, right?

why everyone run it then, it's a manual ruin on command and it gives info too, and like everything else in this game it's a lot stronger against solos without coms

  • I think only problem is call of brine it's an op perk, overcharge and eruption are fine imo but I don't know if these 3 perks should stack

  • I couldn't stand solo Q even before update honestly, I was one of the players expecting BUFFS for solo Q, I hate this patch.. and yes killer queues are way too long, pls give a temporary bonus until you fix incentives

  • They made survivor so boring, unfun and unrewarding it's crazy, if it stays like that for too long I do think most players will quit, killer queues are already a bit worrisome after 2 days

  • it's viable on every killer now, camp your first hook at 4/5 gens then 3v1 is even harder to win than before, before you could just do gens and leave now you can't, good thing that everyone told them in PTB that they're buffing camping dangerously but then it goes live anyway

  • @RMT said:

Wait more than a month and then cry

more than a month with 10 min queues ? cmon... we need a hotfix

  • @xfireturtlex said:

Its like survivors have been coddled for so long that they forgot they're sposta work as a team. Find a teammate, work on a gen, heal eachother, and you'll see the changes arent as strong as everybody says. You're NOT sposta be a one man wrecking crew that can solo pop a gen in 60 seconds, take a hit from the killer, insta-heal in their face, then loop em for 5 minutes before crackin out another gen. Seriously, teamwork.

Yes tEaMwoRk but solos need to run 2-3info perks like kindred-bond that swf get for free 🤔, that's what everyone is repeating a million times kindred basekit..... and even with perks you still can't rely on your teammates in solo q

on the other hand you have to try really hard not to 4k on this update, let's be real

  • @Tiufal said:

The midchapter just showed how much we can trust in bhvr to balance the game. The games were never so bad for killers as is is right now for survivors.

True someone without dead hard was pretty easy to down in previous patch imo, dead hard deserved a nerf but everything else is questionnable, I had 3-4k consistently and it felt good to win now it's legit boring, most chases are too quick survivors don't gain any distance

honestly it gives the impression that they're balancing the game for potato killers while nerfing solos even more (solos need buffs not nerfs)

  • @Babadook83 said:

the truth is, and i hate to say it, but we'll have to deal with this at least 6 weeks or longer before devs gonna review any of this. I guess we can all leave this game alone for a bit and that's all there is to it now. we can complain weeks on end its not gonna change anything. i do wanna express my feelings stronlgy resonate with you 100%

6 weeks in this state ? no way

  • @scenekiller said:

We don't need to be villianizing killers, they've spent plenty of time experiencing these same problems. This patch was a great step for them.

We need to be holding Behaviour accountable for finally giving solo queue some needed treatment now that there's a shining spotlight on how bad it is.

it's not a "great step for them" I can't even play killer right now queues are endless, previous patch was better in every way except dead hard

My two cents: The BP intake felt really good on survivor, literally the best it has ever felt. I was actually like "Wow, I don't need to just grind killer games to get BP, for once, this is amazing." The fact that this had such a major impact on matchmaking (i.e. a ton more players were choosing survivor) really ought to tell you guys that baseline survivor BP income needs to be bumped up, just lifted up overall. Otherwise, going forward, playing without the BP bonus is just gonna feel like a penalty.

I'm roughly at "Just give us more stuff for free, with no strings attached. Just give us BP, a lot of it" especially for survivors right now. Let the BP flow freely, forever, and it will make everyone happier. I dunno why you guys don't just have someone manually direct the BP bonus while you figure out why the automation broke down enough for a killswitching (or why it's even still killswitched an entire day later).

I agree it felt so good, I didn't play survivor since they killswitched the bonus it's so unrewarding

  • revert everything except dead hard you can delete it, it's bad overall especially camping/tunneling buffed

  • Yes it's kinda boring to lose 1/20 match but the most boring part is waiting 10 min in queue, please fix matchmaking incentive or fix the game quickly, killer queue is unbearable

  • I barely notice hit when playing, previous DS was actually scary and encouraged you to go for unhooker atleast, now there's really zero reason to not tunnel someone, they need to revert DS

  • The ones I watch all dies a lot (even before update tho), JRM, ayrun, probz ..

watched 2 killer mains too after update hexy and DEAD plays, unsurprisingly zero lose but I bet spookyloopz and other streamers who plays "nicely" had some loses

  • @LiaLight said:

They tweeted that the fix is scheduled for 6.1.2

    https://mobile.twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1550133547129720832

Not sure when that will be in terms of dates. I think it would be only fair to have a Double BP event or something like that in the meantime to compensate for this.

only survivors should get a bonus killer queues are insane, just give a flat 100% bonus for playing survivor until it's fixed

  • They could have just nerfed dead hard and increase gen time then see if kill rates increase, I still don't know why they buffed 25 things at the same time but ok I guess, I hope they hotfix it quickly not in 3 months

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3078349#Comment_3078349

I can see a 70% kill rate for this first week, settling to 60% once players and MMR adjust. Which sounds about fair.

More like 80%, didn't lost any match since update playing mostly wraith and clown, I don't even run slowdowns except deadlock...

how anyone can think this patch is good ? even if you're biased and never play survivor you still need people to play against, it's far from balanced atm

  • It's ok it's more useful to overreact than pretending everything is perfect imo, forum is for feedback anyway

Didn't play 7 years ago but I do think previous patch was way more fun, they're not going to do it but they should revert and keep the few good changes like dead hard nerf, then buff killers more slowly, people here are coping but I can already feel my killer queue is way too long even at peak hours

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I'm actually curious how many that said that had or will quit, actually did. I've seen a few around here (I won't name names) that said they had quit altogether because of this update. Yet I've seen the same people post comments that seem to indicate they are still playing.

I'm still playing killer just not touching solo Q, if others like it good for them.

Killer queue is annoying tho i waited 10min+ at some point, they need to fix matchmaking incentives asap not in 6 months, I will probably play solo queue with the +100% bonus but right now no thanks

Killers are supposed to be the power role. That means that they shoukd have the tools to be capable of emerging victorious if they play well enough. If they capitalize on survivors' mistakes, they should be rewarded for doing so.

This whole "2 escapes, 2 kills" mentality is ridiculous. That is a draw for both sides. The correct result should be 1 escape, 3 kills on average, with exceptions for good teamwork and communication.

Survivors are mad because their broken crutch perks were taken away and made either less useful or simply require more skill and precision to use. They've been on top for so long that they believed they shoukd remain in an overpowered state. Obviously, the devs disagreed and adjusted balance accordingly. It probably needs some tweaking, in the case of DS being kinda too weak with a 3 second stun, but for the most part, this patch fixed alot of issues that finally made Killers the power role once more.

lol what ? you're so wrong playing killer isn't even fun when you can 3-4k everygame with minimal effort, it should be balanced around 50% kill rates/ 2k on average, fair games are fun not escaping 2/10 matches

  • Why not make it 10-12 seconds and get rid of the perk ? basekit version is almost useless and I don't want to run BT personally it's boring, it's in a weird spot, just make it good basekit

  • @Sumnox said:

Simple solution: Don't engage. Actions speak louder than words, if you want to send a message, just don't play this patch.

This, play something else it's simple, killer queues are already way too long 1 day after release, matchmaking incentive doesn't work, just as expected no one wants to touch solo Q and no one wants to wait 15 min in killer queue just to play incredibly easy matches, dead game tbh

  • Didn't lost any match either except one and I played "bad" killers wraith, clown, freddy. You can win most games with very low effort it's not good at all . And lets be honest camping is strong now, I'm a bit lost without bbq sometimes I just don't know where to go and end up camping hooks, it's not very punishing to say the least

  • @Marigoria said:

Survivor queue times get shorter = survivors are all leaving because of this patch

Survivor queue times get longer = survivors -want- to leave because of the patch, but they're forced to play survivor for BP

No possible answer that involves people still actually enjoying the survivor role, I assume?

I doubt it, since they disabled bonus killer queue is endless again, dying 9/10 match is probably not that fun for the average dbd player

  • meh it should stay at +100% at all time for solo Q, it's really the only reason to not queue killer

1 … 16 17 18 19 20 … 22
