Objectly already got a little nerf with the locker change. It's fine right now.
-
You seem like you could use a break. Your posts have been nothing but complaint, complaint, complaint.
Sucks you haven't been having fun but good luck in the future and hope you come back to a better DBD.
-
It's all up to Behavior getting the rights to her. They only got the rights to the mask, not Scream, not Sidney, not Woodsboro, etc.
Matter of fact that might be why they changed his mori from a phone to a camera, to further it from the movie even more.
-
Intimidation is all well and good for the immersion / horror parts of the game, but shorter killers have an easier time mindgaming loops than taller killers. Compare and contrast Legion to Plague and it's a lot easier to trick a survivor as Legion around a wall / loop the survivor cant see you over (like the hay bales on Cold wind)
-
I agree with @FireHazard.
And the others are right, it would just be an easier way to depip. But I do think offering screen is fine other than secrets being shown
-
A pink toolbox that can repair pallets but take awhile to do so. 90 charges and it'll take 30 to fully repair a pallet. Carpenter's Toolkit I guess. Up to a max of 4 pallets if you have wire spool

Here's a tip for the 3 blink grab "From The Void She Kills" trophy, I got it last week:
Get the extra blink add-on and equip Insidious.
Hook a survivor in the basement, making sure its the 'east' hook sideways on to the closest chest spawn corner. Hide in the corner and let Insidious activate. Now wait for another survivor to unhook. They'll come straight down the stairs and will have their back to you as they unhook. Do 3 little blinks, press attack, trophy gained 👍
I'll try it! Thanks

Possible but I'm going to lean towards no. These cosmetics were datamined in the Ghostface patch (grain of salt, sure) so I'd reckon it'll be released well before Archives planned release.
I'm also assuming Trapper will be the first killer they focus with Archives just as Claudette is the survivor. These two are the most played of their respective sides
-
If you can't rely on SWF for this, the best way is to let everyone know in pregame lobby and bring a key. It'll still require luck to get everyone at the endgame, but at least, if they seem willing pregame, they know to find you.
You could also try to get the killer to farm.
Either way, this achievement is largely out of the main player's control. SWF by far the easiest way
-
Not gonna count the actual grind achievements like tier up 300 times as Michael or 125 RBTs.
Pre-Nerfgion Derranged Pursuit was a right and total hassle.
Nowadays probably Skilled Huntress for me. I only got it through farming / luck.
Still working on the 3 blink grab...

Sorry but three years of "We'll probs get around to it soon maybe lol" isn't good enough. Until I see proof that they're going to do something about it, their words are meaningless.
Well that's your decision but continuously pestering them about something they know is an issue won't do much. Especially if they actually are working on it.

Well I think you're right to make this thread, DCing is an enormous issue with this game that continues to go ignored. For as long as the devs keep their ears blocked and eyes closed to it, people should be making threads in an attempt to get through to them.
Except the devs aren't ignoring it. Peanits already said it's their top priority and they've been working on it. We just need to be patient a little while longer till dedicated. We don't need threads like these

Weird flex but ok

You aren't supposed to.

It's been said time and again by players, mods, and the devs that you shouldn't manually report disconnections. It doesn't do anything except clog them up for other, potentially more serious reports. Stop it.
Also completely unnecessary name and shaming. The forums arent even a place for that kind of report to begin with.
-
For starters you should try and place traps further from the hook than normal. A lot of survivors assume it's close to it and flash around it. This'll trip it early so you can get back.
Franklin's is nice.
Try and put traps in weird locations as well. That's what comes to my mind.
I'm pretty interested in how @Poweas handles flashlights as Hag though. Any tips?

Wait... You think a survivor who hides next to gate all game deserves 32k bloodpoints if the other 3 survivors manage to repair all generators and die in the process? What kinda logic is that? You should always get what you work for.
They meant emblem points, I hope

It is a scummy tactic just like $10 skin in a $20 game.
DBD has a pretty nice content cycle tbch. We get DLC roughly every 3 months, so they're constantly developing new stuff for us to play around with. This costs money.
Is $10 too much for one skin? Well that's subjective but many skins are pretty well done or high quality (IMO).
Bottom line, though. You only ever need to spend $20 to play this game. Everything else after that is completely optional and at the customer's discretion. It is not scummy.

I'm more responding to the people who are saying "If it's supposed to be an anti tunneling perk then they should make these changes to it!" As if it needs to be boxed into one tiny category. They're just arguing that because they want to make it so situational with so many conditions that it's nearly useless.
I understand yeah. I was just responding to you to put that out there for yeah the killers that want it to be JUST anti-tunnel with all those restrictions as well
-
@brokedownpalace said:
It's pretty wild how much DS was nerfed and people still complain. Just goes to show you they will never be satisfied until Bhvr makes the perk completely useless.
PS. It can be used as an anti tunneling perk but that doesn't mean that is its only use. Move on from this inane argument.
It can be used offensively, yes. But it can still be played around and is usually painfully obvious when a survivor wants you to get them.
-
I'd say, as a general thing, the faster a killer can get back to a hook, the better MYC is for them.
And speaking from experience, a Spirit with MYC is downright scary
-
I don't agree with a lot of your suggestions, but I definitely agree with this one. Auto-lock causes way more harm than good.
I can't tell you the amount of times I try to swing around a corner or pallet and then suddenly the lunge stops or jerks a different direction, smacking wood

Camp a moving guy for 60 seconds gaining nothing in the meantime and if you look away for half a second someone can one tap heal them. That's dumb and why people want it changed.
I guess some people that tunnel are salty about it, but all of the complaints I see against the perk are that it ######### over killers that are not even tunneling.
Why would you camp a slug? Slugging can be strong. You get pressure from it just as hooking someone without even needing to carry them to a hook.
And as for the topic, I think DS is fine and maybe one of the reasons people still hate it is because they still have battle scars from the old DS
-
No. Of all changes to make to survivors, this wouldn't be one of em
-
DS is absolutely fine now, though I agree the MoM combo is very oppressive. MoM is being nerfed soon though, so eh.
-
I really think the EGC only needs better exit gate spawns. It's killer sided, but that alone will fix it up quite nicely
-
Unless I actually missed it in the stream, I don't think this is on their radar. They did recently add each killer's personal music to their lobby / selection, but I know that's not what you're after
-
The perk cares about tunneling. I dont care about tunneling itself but if you're gonna do what's within the perk's conditions, you're gonna get affected by that perk. It's pretty simple

Tunneling is when you deliberately focus on the survivor soly because they're injured, or were just saved. It's not tunneling if they're the only person you can actually chase. I don't like attacking people who were just saved, but that doesn't remove you from the list, just puts you lower on it. If you're the only person I see, start running.
No, tunneling doesn't mean they have to be injured and you came straight back for just them. If you came back to the hook and the unhooked person is the only one you can find and you chase them, that's still tunneling and fulfills the condition of DS being an anti-tunnel perk. It means you focused on them, regardless of injury or not. Tunneling is smart but has its punishments. Find someone else.

Archives and the battle pass/rift are completely separate things.
I didnt say they were the same thing. I said they complement eachother and make sense within the context of eachother. Flavorful. And they directly correlate with eachother.
-
There was no hostility to begin with.
And cute. But no. As I said, these two games have completely different business models and are nothing alike. Let me explain.
FF11 is an MMORPG with huge social systems, quest zones, leveling, etc. With a monthly paid subscription service built to keep you playing for as long as possible. With occasional content updates and expansion packs. Expansion pack releases are, generally, 1-2 years (WoW as an example)
DBD is an asymmetric horror game that is more akin to an arena type game where it's a 4v1 "sport". Glorified hide and seek. Each match is self-contained and has nothing to do with another one. It has a one-time purchase of $20 with DLCs being released on a normal schedule, 3 months usually.
Here's the difference: FF11 relies on that monthly sub. DBD relies on constant DLC and cosmetic releases.
Of course an MMORPG will cost way more in the long run than what DBD is.
And finally, all of this is off-topic from the OP because it is irrelevant to the battlepass itself. We should quit it.
-
100% agree. I like battle pass systems as a whole but it is total BS to buy a pass near the end and then have "catchup" mechanics bought with even more real money. That's still on the player, but I can see that it is pretty dirty.
-
Whether or not she wears the pants...I don't think Michael will be the one lying in the bed with the baby :p
-
I said MMORPG.
You compared this game to an entirely different genre that uses an entirely different business model.
These two games are incomparible.
-
This
-
Didn't console have that issue? If killer pulled their plug you lost everything, including blood points. So two questions:
What platform is OP on?
Did they fix this issue on console?
-
There's so much they can do with Archives and yes. Can you imagine watching Kate fight back the Entity as she's being dragged away?
-
Rewatching the stream (for any interested, the part where they explain free/paid is at 1:01:30), I do see your point. I saw accessible via playtime and jumped to that conclusion.
As for your second point, we don't know how extensive DBD's battlepass will be or how long the average player will take to complete it. I do think 3 months is plenty of time and helps with the lull between chapters. And as for the people buying the battlepass near the end of its season, I believe that's their fault. But I wouldn't mind, as others in this thread have said, a compensation system for people that ran out of time. Using your idea, if someone bought the battlepass near the end of its season, the game could compensate by giving them a week+ extension to grind it out.
But yeah again I and many others jumped to the conclusion that the paid version would be earnable with shards and there's no proof either way of that yet. Behavior didn't give that much info. Thanks for pointing that out

If I am coming back to a hook I'm not going to not chase a person just because they were the person that was hooked when I see no one else around except the person that was unhooked running away, so whether I could have gone after another person or not is besides the point and the question. After decisive Strike is activated and they jump into a locker what is the counter play to avoid the perk at that point?
You're going back to the hook. That answers this entire thing, actually. You went back to the hook and didn't look for or didn't find the savior, so you go after the saved person.
I think that's tunneling

Battlepass, mobile dbd, map reworks and updates, ranked rewards, freddy rework, ghostface
All of this plus the new Archives. Survivors and killers will get back stories and cinematics related to them in addition to quests every mid chapter update. The battle pass releases alongside these for additional lore cosmetics
-
Lore is usually the most important aspect of a game for me. Absolutely stoked they'll be expanding on it in this way.
I loved the Halloween event mainly for the cinematic and lore as well
-
If they're jumping in the locker in your face, they're baiting the grab. It makes it obvious they have DS. Same with the people doing gens or dulls in your face to bait a grab. I think it's intentional and see nothing wrong with it. You were better off trying to get someone else anyway
-
@AetherBytes said:
I wasn't here for the stream, but assuming it's like other battlepasses, I'll say this
I'm fine with these as long as they give us some opportunity to earn the premium ones for free if we complete the free one, to reward players who play a lot.
They do. They said it's earnable via playtime. Meaning iridescent shards most likely

Lol that’s cheap try ff11 it’s 60 on release 40 for zilert 60 for cop then 10 for each for the 3 add ons then 49 for toua 60 for Wotg 60 for seekers on top of a 15$ a month sub
u act like this game is expensive lol
This isn't an MMORPG.
Anyway I do think what a lot of people are missing is that this battle pass isn't like most of the others in that you absolutely must pay for the premium track. You get three choices here
> Pay with your wallet
> Pay with your time (big grind)
> Ignore it and play normally
Even with option 3 you'll probably be able to get most of the early premiums. 3 months is a long time for this type of thing.
TLDR; if you want something, buy or grind for it. Otherwise, ignore it. They are just cosmetics. Not even blood points.

And you can't see how bad it is for a $100+ dollar game to charge more for limited cosmetics, on top of the store; even if they're not pay to win, it is still is an extra cost.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/501209#Comment_501209
It's not an excuse for people who make poor choices, it is a predatory tactic so that people don't feel left out. It's like putting a compulsive gambler in a casino or in front of lootboxes and blaming them for the scummy things that the companies try to take advantage of because of their situation. Not to mention a decent part of this community are people who are under 18, who are more susceptible to these kinds of practices. It is not a healthy practice for any game that costs money.
Isn't DBD rated M?
But also I don't get the lootbox comparison. This isn't gambling. This is you buying a pass and then playing the game to get those skins. Matter of fact, buying the pass just cuts down on the amount of time you need to spend to even get those cosmetics. I don't even see the predatory practices here...other games with Battle Passes (like Paladins) have a free and paid track. You MUST pay to get those skins, no amount of playtime will get them for you
-
In the end, it is a business. Yes, people are more likely to buy something if it is limited time and this system takes advantage of that. It would be cool if they became available again in the future but even if they don't, it is completely up to the player themselves if they want to buy it or not. You're pressured, not required.

You’re part of the problem, if you can’t see how this is bad for this game then you’re only reinforcing scummy business practices that do nothing but hurt the consumer. OverWatch pulled the same ######### and it was just as bad, and DbD’s situation is argueably worse. I have and probably still will continue to buy store based cosmetics, but I cannot and will never support this fûcking atrocious decision.
They're part of the "problem" in that they're not on this propaganda and overwhelming hate for something that probably won't even affect you if you just don't want to buy it.
I'm all for discussion and debate about this but alot of the people arguing against battlepass are vehement about it and throw insults or call pro-battle pass opinions "invalid" or "part of the problem".
Btw you shouldn't use special letters to bypass the word filter.
