What is with these tiny killers?
Legion makes sense at least, they are high school students. But Freddy and now Ghostface? They look ridiculous. There should be an intimidation factor with killers, they don't have it.

Agreed. Bigger Killers = More intimidation factor. I don't get scared or intimidated by midget legion.
Isn't the first victims and the Killer himself from the first Scream movie in high-school at the time? Or the very least they're very young?
Also Freddy's naturally short, even in the movies. Hes as tall as his victims who again.. are also in high-school or around that age.
No i'm talking about the Killer from the original movie which is basically what this is based off of.
Most people who dawned the mask were always the same height as the first person who did this in the first movie. It wouldn't make sense if someone who is like... as tall as Myers to wear the outfit and mask, it would kinda throw that off.
First off, Freddy and Ghostface have always been small.
Second, smaller killers are scarier, they're harder to see.
The mask was made before the movie. This chapter is only licensing the mask from Fun World and creating their own killer to dawn the Ghostface mask.
Ghostface also isn't small in the ptb. He's actually quite tall, but can crouch rather low.
Intimidation is all well and good for the immersion / horror parts of the game, but shorter killers have an easier time mindgaming loops than taller killers. Compare and contrast Legion to Plague and it's a lot easier to trick a survivor as Legion around a wall / loop the survivor cant see you over (like the hay bales on Cold wind)

Freddy
Are all meant to retain regular human features.
Freddy the only abnormal thing about him appearance wise is his burns otherwise he's pretty regular human.
Amanda is meant to be a regular woman just wearing a pig head which is the only abnormal thing about her appearance wise.
The Legion is literally a group of four separate teenagers just wearing masks
Ghostface is a random psychopathic journalist who just goes on a killing spree in a disguise.
The fear from these guys comes from what's hidden in the normality. That your next door neighbour who is practically normal in every way could turn out to be a homicidal maniac. To quote a chapter title The Darkness Among Us
Then you have people like Myers, Clown, Huntress and Trapper who are supposed to look off due to the massive statue they meant to be intimidating.
They're probably the second the line of Regular looking people but it's that slight thing about them that just makes them intimidating without knowing them
They're meant to be just that abnormal and threatening in the back of your from the get go.
Then you have those who are deformed and twisted people who immediately set off alarm bells they're not normal and deceptively safe like the small killers.
They also don't give you that slight on edge feeling like the larger statue Killers

Phonetically speaking I like the variation between each and every killer they speak to different fears and different worries
Hes as tall as Joey and Frank from the Legion... People consider THEM short... So idk if that counts...

the small ones are the ones you need to look out for. they'll nab your ankles before you know it.

Here's why:
Whether a killer is strong is "generally" based on whether or not they counter pallet looping.
That can come primarily in the killers power but also to a very small degree in the killers size.
The larger you are, the much more difficult it is to mind game a pallet.
So basically if you want larger killers then their powers basically have to somehow counter pallet looping in one way or another or they aren't going to be viable since they won't be able to mind game them well.
We've had lots of tiny killers because all their powers don't counter looping.
Exception being Plague who loses on both counts, which is why most people unanimously think she needs buffs.
