  • I think its over stated the pallet changes and its making everyone think its so survivor sided now.

I see people complain in egc about pallets on realms that didn't even get the density update

i don't know what changes apart from the pallet density make people think its swayed so far to survivors this year. (reminder anti slug and tunnel are not in the game)

There are too many pallets, you stupid developers. Forget about not fixing the many bugs with The Nurse; now you've added even more pallets. Do you have any idea that in high MMR, those baby survivors can just mindlessly drop pallets and escape, while the killer still gets tea-bagged and waved at by these players. Just spam pallets and you escape; this game is way too easy.

I know you need to cater to the BABY survivors. After all, money from four people is more profitable than from one, so killers are just here to entertain them. Well, I heard next patch you're also giving survivors a 30-second buff on hook and the ability to recover from the dying state automatically. Haha, are survivors being hooked or sitting in a massage chair? Next patch, only those who enjoy being masochists will play killer.

You people are so keen on making money but can't be bothered to fix bugs. You don't even play your own game and have no clue about balance.

ah yes the best way to get devs to listen to you, call them stupid in the first sentence

    • In my opinion, it's better than staying seasonal. I can compare it to Fortnite: the OG Fortnite was so successful/appreciated that Devs made it a permanent mode. After a short time, the OG mode lost all its appeal and all the players moved on to other modes. So I think 2VS8 would have been successful initially, but after a while, completing a lobby of survivors will be really difficult.

Fortnite isn't the best comparison because they also added a no build mode which is arguably more popular then the standard mode.

  • yes teleporting the cages right next to open doors is so silly, survivors can unhook and run out but i dont think a unhook notification would help as they can already just run out by time you can get there.

  • I'm all for making it permanent

If 2v8 was permeant the que times would become better just due to the fact everyone isn't going to be trying to play the limited time play with your friend as killer mode. may still be longer but would be better eventually as its not the new fancy limited mode.

I can deal with a lot of things in DBD. Give me a camping/tunneling blight with 4 slowdown perks, and I'll still have fun in the match. Give me any killer with a ping over 200, and I know I'm gonna get hits stolen from me.

It wouldn't be so bad if bad ping was rare, but it's pretty common when I play Survivor. It's also evident that killers use it to their advantage. That's not skill, that's exploitative.

I've been in matches where a killer started off with 60 ping and didn't do so well, but for the second half of the match they had 200+ and started swinging from miles away. Coincidence? I think not.

Could the devs please do something about ping? Either give us a free out of high ping games or show us the killers' ping in the lobby? Or if a killer has 300 ping, match him with survivors of a similar ping?

Yes leaving needs too be allowed for these ping situations or if ping is spiking past 200 multiple times in the match. nobody wants to play when the other side is over 200 ping.

Solo Survivors Need Better Communication Tools

In my opinion, certain killer perks and strategies can make a match feel nearly unwinnable for solo queue survivors. When I load into a trial and see the killer tunneling at 5 gens while running Pain Resonance and Dead Man’s Switch, it’s hard not to feel like the game is already over—no matter how well everyone plays.

The lack of communication options for solo survivors often ends up doing more harm than the killer themselves. How many times have you been left on hook because two teammates assumed the third person was going for the unhook? Or when everyone abandons critical gens to go for a rescue, only to find the killer proxy camping—now the entire team is standing around the hook, making it a free kill with zero gen progress?

If Behaviour really wants to address tunneling and slugging, improving solo queue communication should be a top priority. Those strategies often succeed not because they’re inherently overpowered, but because survivors can’t coordinate well enough to counter them. The problem isn’t always balance—it’s that solo players are forced to rely on guesswork and hope their teammates are on the same page.

    1000010930.gif

legit dbd mobile was able to add comms and even see team perks when loading in, main game struggling to do what a mobile port could.

  • Scott slop.

I commented on main video itself but killers will do exact same thing on occasions, oh first chase went a bit too long? Im dcing or im just gonna stand at exit gates or go friendly because im done with this match.

The reason why surviours get ######### for doing it is because if a killer dc or gives up match is just over or you just bumrush gens.

If a surviour gives up they are just leaving everyone else with a bot to endure the rest of the match.

Agree with him most of the time but this video is just slop.

  • Ive seen multiple annon killers say the exact same thing even in normal que.

on the flip side I've also seen an anon ghoul tell me in need to find rope because we did gens to fast so I prefer they go with ggez tbh 🤣

  • @WalterBlack said:

Many of the things changed in recent patches all lead to the same outcome - weaker killers getting punished, driving Killer players to play characters which are viable - Nurse, for example. Pinhead was supposed to get a buff before his license got revoked, and the PTB features a change that will completely destroy his ability to even use his power by making Survivors with Endurance invincible.

Pallet density changes that only impact lower-tier Killers that actually have to bother with pallets, long-lasting protections Nurses don't give a ######### about while Onryo has to jog around for a minute and a half before even getting close to the Survivor.

Bugs that remain "acknowledged" by the developers in forum and Reddit posts alike, which somehow never make the bug fixes page in the patch notes.

And the Survivors you play against as a low-tier Killer. Jesus Christ. Have a particularly rough match and Survivors will do everything in their power to make you feel miserable, but then complain when they only face Nurses and Blights.

Come on. I want to play more different Killers than I feel like I can now. Where are the Pinhead buffs that were promised, where are the fixes that Houndmaster so desperately needs, where is the real QoL The Skull Merchant was promised?

Since looking at the tunneling changes forum I honestly think top tiers and lower tiers need to be treated differently to be able to give the lower tiers blanket buffs and make them feel better to play.

PTB changes barley effect the top tiers but people want killer incentives that would buff top tier even more powerful and this is why survivors will sweat so much, because they have too when a lot of killers just run top tiers with slow down so you get conditioned to play hard.

what needs to happen is they need to give no incentives to top so that low tiers are able to get stronger incentives , and I would even support tile generation based on killer (eg blight will have more pallets likely to spawn but if you are playing a weaker killer the pallet spawn rate stays at a lower rate)

  • @MrRetsej said:

If they remove any need to play killer, that would be the tipping point for me uninstalling the game.

I bought this game to play killer. I stay in this game to play killer. If I'm instead discouraged to play the game I invested money and time in because I can be replaced with a bot, DbD gets shelved for good in my steam library.

I'm sorry how does adding killer bots to the game take away any ability or discourage you to play killer?

  • I don't like this idea only due to the fact the killer can do similar things to the survivors when Killers are winning (eg humping after they have downed you) if you just run up and start slapping they will run out or go down and leave.

sometimes as well the survivors may be doing it statically to bait and let the last teammate get the other door.

  • some people will just downvote mindlessly even if you may be making a more nuanced points, thing i find annoying is downvoters wont speak up about why what was said is incorrect or why they disagree a lot of the time.

  • I agree the free hit needs to be removed, it what makes him feel trash to verse as a survivor

  • he is still such a bore to verse, I hope they move away from auto lock on hits as from the survivors perspective it takes away any skill if the killer can just lock onto you no matter what.

  • They just need to remove the lock on hit in my opinion and make it dodgeable but I sadly don't think those changes will be made.

This has been a thing that DBD players have been BEGGING for a LONG time. I don't know why they haven't added it yet?

Naaah, youll end up with sweat lords just queuing in casual for easy matches.

also what will the rules be, is it going to be like comp dbd with perk limits and bans?

  • I hate slugging for the mori, just play for the hatch, hatch play never comes into play anymore because of this sorta gameplay.

    @Mr_K said:

So all the posts before the final mori about slugging for the 4k was all smoke? This isn't about the mori. Killer's have slugged for the 4k forever.

all tho with the new anti slugging changes coming glad we will just be able to pick ourselves up rather then be left there to bleed out .

and with regards to comment "wasn't it like this before" so many people now will slug one person with two people left has become way more common. the main slugging situation i saw complained about before was killers just leaving everyone to bleed out on the ground.

nowadays people are slugging one on the ground to go find last one no matter how long that person has to stay slugged for.

  • I agree with the killer power section, killers like singu are a drag to verse in soloq but if im in a two or three man he becomes so much more bearable because I can actually communicate with my team.

I feel like the issue is solo q cannot communicate with each other in the match and cant be like "i need to be EMP" leading to any killer that has a complex counter play or requires "teamwork" to counterplay just doesn't work due to the lack of communication survivors get in solo q, if soloq had something like a comm wheel like dbd mobile had I think it would bridge the gap enough where those sorts killers feel better in soloq

  • @Mandy said:

There is no plan to put voice comms natively in the game, not because of tech limitations but through choice.

What about adding a dbd mobile sort of comm wheel to the game with pre made messages/ call outs, is that something that is not added to the game by choice or is it due to limitations? 🙏

Im all for the mobile comm wheel. But voice chat in solo que would be hell on earth

I agree with you 100% voice comms is not the way to go but something like dbd mobile had is desperately needed for solo q

  • Glad to see all these posts about it, dbd mobile had a comm wheel with pre made messages meanwhile the main game is struggling to add something like that for solo q for some unknown reason

  • voice comms wont work as people wont use it/ be toxic, the best way they need to go in a comm wheel like dbd mobile had with pre made messages, its absurd to me they haven't added that for QOL for solo q.

  • The perk is not even that bad and has perks that can counter it,

mindbreaker is good counter all tho killswitched atm

Languid touch is also another perk that ive seen used and is a great counter to lithe because if you scare a crow before you vault you don't get lithe

gentic limits can be used on more stealth killers well as they can sneak up and get first hit for free then you are exhausted if they commit to chase.

Also alot killers have ad ons that cause exhaustion (eg Spring trap, Huntress, Chucky, Ghost Face, Houndmaster and many more)

I haven't been dying on purpose, just solo q going down before I can get saved on my first hook, then the game gives me this weird message (like in the title) and says I could lose my grade, but can anything else happen?

I think you are referring to message that is for anti afk, you will only loose grades from my experience eut its too broken imo as you can get the message from going second then dying like you mentioned,

ive noticed they are using lethal and you don't get chance to touch gen but solo q lets you die on hooke that causes it to be to give you message even tho you just got unlucky. (ive only had happen rarely, not a common occurrence )

  • I am very thankful that in my region i barely see anyone playing her since her second round of nerfs, i think people just realise how boring and unskillful it is to play as her because her kit is so busted.

everyone sleeps on the insane 3rd person FOV she gets, its so much wider the chuckles FOV and she doesn't even have to think or use any skill to loop.

  • it defently sounds like hacking based on how it was only the one player and that she could also go through closed gate.

I was going to say it sounds similar to glitch that happened a while back where killers and survivors could spawn with different tiles so it felt like you where running into invisible walls but this one sounds like exploits because it was only them and they went through closed exit gate

  • Because they have stated due to issues with Nintendo and how they push updates, they made a post about it, I know there was bugfix few days ago so may be delayed with getting switch back with everyone.

the timeframe I was given to watch in Eastern Australia for most recent drop, no consideration for people who are not based on the American side of the globe

  • its way to inconsistent, i tried to comment on something funny a nemi zombie did other day and was censored in a way made it look like I said something worse then what was actually said.

  • having a twitch drop with such a short timeframe is so sad to see, in my area this stream was at 5am and in the western part of my country it would of been 3am on a Friday morning.

Report them after the game if you think they are hacking, don't just leave because you SUSPECT they are. Most of the cope posts about hacking are just people who got outplayed by the killer or by survs.

The disconnect epidemic is a huge problem and the current penalties clearly aren't deterring people adequately.

I specifically state two tap hacker which is a type of hacker that will instantly down people in chase with a instant two tap ( (using m1 twice) . its not suspecting its knowing basic game knowledge that killers can not two tap instantly.

i mention that type because if we are changing it so people who dc on first down get a hour penalty people who dc against that will also get a hour penalty

  • The stuttering has been a issue for me personally since the krasuse came out, mutiple matches ill be rubber banneded when running or the killer will rubber band in front of my face and its so jank. I assume it's just server issues.

  • they will never do voice chat but we need a comm wheel like dbd mobile had and have posted about it myself! would alleviate so many issues that happen in solo q

The real problem about the maps in this game is the abysmal map rotation. There are certain maps I havent seen since they got basically ruined map offerings. I almost never see the og maps. I play on nostromo (both versions) more than I could ever want too. I play for hours and the only maps I religiously get is swamp, both nostromos, Haddonfield, Midwhich and Greenville. Every once in a while I may see Badham or Coldwind. Maybe the other maps are the friends we made along the way.

I've been trying to get the achievement for fallen refuge since the map came out and I just never see the map. I've played on the map 5 times at most out of the 5 times killer dc'd 3 times, one game was a nurse, and the other game was a blight.

I've brought 40 map offerings for the map and only got every version of the realm except the one I need. On top of the 20% chance for the map, there's another 33% chance to even get the version what you want. Not to mention, again the 20% chance out of the 40 map offerings I got the offerings maybe 5 times? What was the point of making sacrificial wards just to make people not even need them? There's virtually no point in bringing a map offering just to there and pray for a chance of the map, then pray harder for the version you need.

We need map offerings back, its so bad just getting the same two or three maps over and over, at the moment the game loves giving the Nostromo realm and erie of crows realm specifically the new variant its like god give me a Macmillan please.

I also feel the pain with fallen refuge map, took me multiple days to get the map on release

  • A hour ban is crazy for the first time punishment. what if the killer was hacking and you went down to instant two tap? you would be slapped with a hour penalty

  • Thought I would comment on this again as the holiday season is coming up, i have attached video of me switching to a cozy break collection outfit

"It feels like the wrong play because they were overturned to begin with and you go used to that kit."

Actually no, I never played her before the nerfs. Just analyzing her current version.

"but if they where to add it back to hooked survivors mushrooms need to be instantly cleansing (as soon as the animation to eat is done the status effect is removed) would be the only way to allow them to carry over into hook states. "

This seems like a completely random change. This post isn't about nerfs/buffs, it's wanting a side grade that encourages hooking, which is what survivors want.

I'm trying to reach out here for changes to encourage the play style survivors would want. If people really hate this I'll just continue my slug play style since it's more optimal. This was an attempt at changes for the survivors benefit.

Im not sure how it's a completely random change.

You where asking if their was a possible way for mushrooms to stay on the surviours when they are hooked.

Im saying the only way to do this with her current kit is mushrooms instantly cleanse to be remotely fair. (EG how weskers spray works) because that way we avoid the issue of you eat a mushroom and heal up but oh krasue came back right before the infection timer ticked down so it doesn't even matter.

The only way you'll prevent tunneling off hook with the infection is if it goes away when you are hooked like it does or as soon as you eat a mushroom it goes away, otherwise krasue just has too much map pressure to come back and tunnel with infection even if you have eaten a mushroom.

  • The Haddonfield pallets where really needed after the building where gutted. as a survivor main I do see too many pallets on some of the maps (biggest offender being autohaven imo) but Haddonfield changes are great

  • It feels like the wrong play because they were overturned to begin with and you go used to that kit.

but if they where to add it back to hooked survivors mushrooms need to be instantly cleansing (as soon as the animation to eat is done the status effect is removed) would be the only way to allow them to carry over into hook states.

  • @Cykosu said:

Hi, I'm Cykosu, I made a post on Twitter recently sharing an idea I had that was very divisive over there, maybe here it'll be different, but overall it seemed pretty well accepted, and most of the negativity was very one-sided and came from people who don't understand why DCs are an issue, Regardless, I was suggested to share it on the forms as a suggestion.

If you play the game (especially Killer) at all I'm sure you've noticed its basically every 3 games you will have someone DC well before the Abandon feature is made available, my suggestion?

A Karma System! - Because the timers really aren't enough to dissuade from ruining other players matches.

    (CONCEPT UI MADE BY ME)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/L0BC1NG123TB/karma.png

The idea is every month, on Grade reset, you have maxed Karma, DCing or Giving Up in matches removes one point from your Karma, completing 2 - 3 matches without doing so will give you one Karma back.

Another idea is receiving Props from non-SWF teammates or Killers will make you receive Karma back faster.

At the end of each month, if you remain in good Karma, you receive a reward (This could be a large amount of Iri Shards, or BP, something good to incentivize abiding by it, could make it cycle each month like how the Weekly Box could be Rift Fragments or BP.)

Multiple Instances of Disconnection from Matches or Giving Up/Throwing Games Removes you from getting the reward, Once you've gone down a Karma Level, You cannot go back up until the monthly reset.

Further Instances of Disconnecting, Giving Up, or Throwing Matches will throw you into The Void Zone, In which you have to play Bot Matches to regain access to Real Player Queues, (The Void Zone is the only zone that you can leave.) - In the concept image above, I list it at 10 Bot Matches, this admittedly is a lot of matches, It could also be lowered to 5, 3, even 1.

Other ways to deduct Karma could be reports of Trolling, Griefing or Unsportsmanlike behaviour, these of course should follow a 'Report > Real-Person Review > Decision > Issue Point Deduction' method, and should not be automated whatsoever.

and as I mentioned before, the Karma would reset every month, however I do believe if multiple months in a row, a player hits The Void Zone, That player should receive a larger punishment, likely a prolonged ban from the game.

My reasoning for this system concept is because in my experience playing this game for the last 5 years, there has not been a time where players DC as much as they do now, and it's not just against high-tier Killers either, just today I witnessed a triple DC against my friend playing The Unknown, and 2 Instant DCs while playing with my friend against a Sadako, not to mention most of my matches on Killer, no matter who I play tend to have at least one DC every 3 matches, in some cases full-party DCs, for no valid reasoning, just because they can.

This has been a consistent issue since Skull Merchant's release, and has gotten worse overtime, and as it continues, Kill Rates get inflated, which leads to unnecessary changes. Skull Merchant shouldn't be F-Tier, Trickster's ""rework"" shouldn't have happened, and we're headed to a time where Killers are going to continue to get changed so other players can have more fun at the cost of peoples preferred characters being gutted and turned unplayable, While Survivor-side continues to receive overtuned perks and more pallets, I hope we can prevent that, because these last couple updates haven't felt great to play, not sure if that's been made obvious enough by the amount of people calling that out.

So even if there's no Karma system added any time soon, lets please advocate to play the game we queue up for, instead of only playing when everything goes right? lets advocate for learning the game and to not put anti-intellectualism on a pedestal, because truly, it's hurting the game more than anything right now.

I don't like the idea unless Killer karma system is expanded upon as well, in the current form it seems oo harsh when the game has fundamental flaws with certain killers (imo ghoul, karsue)

as someone mentioned above killers like ghoul will just be given bad karma basically every match if you allow people to vote. or it could allow targeting certain groups by downvoting them just because they profile has X thing in it

edit : also 10 matches of bots is absurd, not everyone plays this game as much as some of us do and that would massively hurt low level players who may hop on a few hours a few times a week.

also how will being forced to play with bots work, will we be forcing killers to also play in bot lobbies? potentially making queue times take a hour as you wait for a killer to be in bad bot karma? because we cant even get a custom game bots I doubt they could do for a karma system.

  • @Amanova said:

never, they don't care about survivors at all, prime example is new overbuffed Shape, my teammates now give up against him, so boring to loop him, just predrop and run where is the fun chases and 50/50? Yet another Clown, Pig, PH boring zoners

they just gave us a bunch of pallets, maybe some killers have been overtuned like krasuse but not killers mentioned.

I've versed a few Myers and don't see the issue with him, if anything i want old Myers back but that's a personal preference not based on balance.

  • @Munky said:

Very simple explanation for this. While lobby dodging is part of it, You are also seeing more 'new' killers cause veterans are quitting the game en masse. That or they switch to S or A tier killers. Even big name streamers straight up say they wouldn't be playing DBD if they didn't make money of its content.

We can confirm there is a killer shortage by looking at who gets BP bonus in Queue right now. Killers, which only had it for about 1% of the time in the entire existence of BP bonuses. Obviously there is something up there ;)

Since there is a BP bonus, that in turn will also attract survivor mains to play some killer. So you have a much bigger pool of new/bad killers right now.

i don't know about every region but I play in Australia and the bonus is basically always on survivor, I've only seen killers get the bp bonus in my region really late at night in the AM.

edit: i just wanted to point out as well dead by queue also shows the killers having the massive wait times for a lobby, meaning there should be plenty of killer players when wait times are minutes difference

    image.png
  • imo to fix this abandoning needs to count towards whoever was winning when that became a option in the match

I really don't understand how you can think that keeping something exclusively for PC, creating a power imbalance between PC and console is in anyway a good idea. Also by technicality you can still perform flicks, it's just not a single frame movement as it used to be, as that simply wouldn't work on console.

not really only for PC because i heard they are adding keyboard and mouse support for consoles

  • I would recommend checking out videos that show you check spots for each of the loops and try that next time you go into a match.

alot of the maps at the moment have a alot of pallet density so shouldn't be too hard to find a loop to test with

  • adding here but seems to be a global issue no dbd related, other apps such as RING cameras are also down

If you can't coordinate a 2 man save on hook… I'm sorry but that's just a skill issue. One person body blocks until the killers in weapon wipe then the other goes for the save while the injured runs away. I've seen soloq coordinate saves before it's just a LOT of dbd players are really unskilled.

Like unless its a leatherface or billy you should ABSOLUTELY be getting someone off hook if you have 2 survivors playing it smartly. The way anti-face camp is now is fine and doing it's job as intended. IF you cant pull someone off hook solo that's FINE pulling solo SHOULD be a huge risk of not even unhooking.

Im sorry but you cant go around calling surviours unskilled when the game gives you no comms wheel / communication with the team.

Yeah if I had communication with the team we could get the hook save a bit earlier, due to being soloq everyone ends up trying to get the save because we have no idea who is getting the save which leads to alot of these situations where people go second while no gens are done.

Surviours need a comm wheel if you expect them to do cororidinated plays with each other if its still happening and we have proper team communication yeah then it's a skill issue.
