as a soloq survivor my last DC was a singu that had a pretty good three gen and was able to tunnel someone out before 3 gens where left i ended up just getting bored of him not commiting to chase and it was just dragging on.

Camaraderie - should work on both hook states not just the struggle stage

- I don't understand, are there 6% more escapes in Japan?
I used google translate (it failed) but I assume top one is % of players playing that role and bottom one is escape rate

The elevation was about the only somewhat interesting thing about the void, I'm not a fan of the new void layout now that it's missing. Quicker pallet breaks are nice though.
I agree with you there, the void this year just feels like a big empty flat plane with one up area. I loved the unique elevation that happened last time around

No. That's not acceptable, because if a patch happened that massively raised kill rates, you know survivors would be complaining non-stop until the changes were reverted.
The actual solution is to figure out a balanced system, which includes the adjustments, and test it on the PTB to see if the kill rates are similar to the average PTB. And if the kill rates are too low, then you delay phase 2 even further until another set of adjustments can be made.
BHVR doesn't ever need for phase 2 to go live before its' ready. It only takes a couple of days on the PTB to figure out if the changes are completely out of control or not. The kill rates on the last PTB were massively lower than average, and it's not because killers "didn't adapt", it's because the PTB was completely out of control.
"The kill rates on the last PTB where low" how do you know this? You said yourself the last kill rate stats we got where jan- march this year. There is no way for you to know the legitimate stats in the last PTB outside of your gut feeling or assumptions.
Also the PTB has no MMR which makes it more useless for proper testing.

The most recent official stats way from back in the January to March block.
One of the biggest problems with BHVR's data is they are either purposefully obscuring things, or they don't understand why certain numbers are the way they are.
Freddy was fresh off his rework, so it wasn't a surprise to see him high. Lot of people played him and survivors were still learning how to deal with him, so his kill and pick rate was unnaturally high. I imagine it did not stay there otherwise we would have been changes by now. And we don't really see anyone complaining about Freddy.
MMR 500 is pretty low, so it isn't a surprise to see Sadako and Dredge fairly high, but those are not telling the full story. Example: Sadako is low level stomper, but is generally a really weak killer once survivors have an idea of how to play. She falls off hard as MMR goes up. She has no chase and Condemn is basically worthless against average survivors. Dredge is inherently stronger than Sadako, but has the same problem of falling off as survivors get better and can better deal with his powers.
Blight, Nurse and Spirit are almost always in the top of the kill rates because they have inherently broken powers. Skull Merchant was completely gutted for having a 68% kill rate, yet killers like Blight and Nurse continue to be untouched for years.
thank you I knew there was one around freddy rework i just couldnt find

"Further adjustments down the road" means the phase 2 changes should wait until the adjustments are ready.
The kill rates are always supposed to average around 60%.
We aren't supposed to have a "well, the kill rates are really bad, but we'll fix it over the next few months" situation.
i don't think its healthy to be talking about kill rates when we don't even know what the current ones are, BHVR has not given us official stats on what the kill rates in over a year and there is no way to get a official number (i swear last one i saw was around when they reworked Freddy)
you are just assuming the kill rate will drop below 60% when we haven't even had access to them stats in over a year, the current kill rates on certain killers could be over 80 percent but we don't know. (no nightlight does not count, im talking about official stats released by bhvr.)
Edit: this is the last official kill rate i could find posted in 2022. please if there is something newer show but dont go on about kill rates when you dont even know what they are (again nightlight does not count as it only includes matches people upload -

Meanwhile, any conversation about ragequitting problems has to devolve into people massively over exaggerating how often Go Next makes false positives.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4014061#Comment_4014061
You don’t need to over-exaggerate this. Yes, the normal queue time would go up, but not by so much that the majority of players would care. I’m sure most players would be happy with maybe a few extra seconds added to their queue times, if it meant a severe reduction with ragequitters in their games.
Again, the majority of players are actually playing through their games, even if they are frustrating. It’s really just a small percentage of survivors that are ruining lots of games for other people.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4014011#Comment_4014011
But why is it that most people can manage to play through all their games? Do you really think most players don’t have games that feel frustrating? Do you really think most players don’t have games where they feel like something unfair is happening?
And why isn’t bully squads on the official roadmap? Bully squad survivors, whose main goal is to ruin the fun of their opponents, isn’t a game problem? But killers, they are using game strategies to try to win a game, are a game problem?
make your own forum about ragequiting, this forum was originally about anti slugging and tunneling (which you can see by the title of the post) and people have deluded it into a forum about rage quitters and other issues that are not even related. (like trying to make another que or trying to bring up bully squads in a discussion about anti slugging and camping. its like if I went to a post about someone complaining about pallet density and my response is "yeah but what about survivors versing a Krasue"

My matches are already 80% ghoul and krasues, so if we get anti tunneling and camping but the same killers ive already having to verse i dont mine.

was having this issue in Australia around when vecna came out, had to firewall every amazon server but the Sydney servers because they kept putting Australians in 200 ping Asia servers and every time I tried to reach out to support they blamed my internet rather then the servers even tho this was happening to everyone I knew who played in Australia
-
they def didn't pick up and drop twice, the nemi walked me somewhere and dropped me but we could abandon before that, the pig match she did the thing where she drops near hook and puts her hat on then hook which may of caused it but main match that made me post was the nemi match because I was first one to go down and we could all abandon from one down
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
If you get picked up from the dying state two(?) times, the next time you go down it gives you the abandon option i'm pretty sure.
i had a nemi being funny and guarding a rock he could climb on to , he downed me on the rock and then the whole team could abandon, i had another one where pig camped someone to death and then next person that was down we could all abandon

This was not patched in live server, only on PTB. In PTB it was patched, I saw it. You need to wait for the live release.
I've just played a match against a ghoul after the release of this patch and they are still able to utilise kidnap tech at windows and pallets with no counterplay for the surviours. The vault extremelfast, lock you into place and wack you for the down before you can do anything

I've had this happen before too, longest I've had it happen is 2-3 seconds but its very visually annoying when it does occur randomly when Krasue is using power

- Killers seeing hook states is kind of a nothing burger IMO. People seem pretty polarised about it, but I don't think it makes any meaningful difference to tunneling. It's not like counting to 2 is particularly difficult.
- Krasue does need some revisions, although I don't think the kill switch would be appropriate here.
How long is appropriate before they should killswitch, took them 6 months to get rid of kidnap tech from the ghoul, I would rather them disable this killer until it is fixed rather then the issue run rampant for months and she ends up being one of the killers that is just universally hated by survivors because they took to long to fix them.
imo they should just revert the game back to before the dlc came out and have a emergency fix done in a week or something because a bunch of issues coming from this update not just to do with Krasuse.
having the anti slugging and tunneling updates in the same ptb as a new killer has ruined her release -

I'd say it still doesn't make sense though - why would they even bother going into another survivor match in the first place rather than just waiting a few minutes if they're that impatient to get into a killer match? If it's longer than a few minutes then I don't see how they would be watching the time that closely.
Personally I'd imagine they just didn't like the killer combo they got, how quickly people went down, the map, or any number of other reasons people go next. I don't think play while you wait is to blame.
nah i don't agree with that because if people wanted to go next they would do it at the start of the match, in situations ive been having in the 2 v 8 the surviours will be winning alot of the time gen wise but people will still be trying to go next when the match is halfway over.
-
@MDRSan said:
I don't think it works like that. I think play while you wait literally just does what it says - let you play survivor while the time ticks down on your killer queue like it would have anyway. Dying doesn't get you there any faster - 20 minutes is still 20 minutes.
You can still go next in the match mid match if the timer said 10 mins and 10 mins have gone by. Ive just had numerous matches where at least two people have run into the killer trying to go next halfway through the game.
imo timer should not be given and the option to play as you wait is there if the expected que is longer the x amount of time. so people don't know how long it is and it only confirms its ready after the match. Not giving a ETA prior Like a normal lobby.
something like "que times are long atm would you like to play a match as you wait"
then if its still long after that first match would be like "you are still further along in the que, would you like to play another surviour match as you wait or continue to wait for a killer match in the lobby"
-
My main issue is for some reason nobody is touching gens in my matches. Will have a killer down me and another one is with chase with someone else out of 6 people ZERO of them are on gens majority of the time.
-
Would love to see behaviour even mention if they are going to do more to fix the ghoul. As someone who has played since 2020 this is the most draining experience I've had in this game and makes me not want to play purely due to the ghoul.
Even skull merchant matches would be a bit funny because it would just be she wouldn't chase very far away from her gens so alot of games surviours would just end up tbagging and looking at her outside of the 3 gen because sm wouldn't want to leave it.
It don't help even ghoul ive been matched with running dms, pain res, bamboozle like yall really need more crutches on this killer.
-
sorry they must of not attracted

I'm having the same issue after a crash caused by the update. I was able to run capped at 90fps completely stable but now it's struggling to reach 40fps.
-
Crazy he is not killswitched when this sorta stuff is going on with him. Making it unplayable for suviours.
-
This issue is with this killer how good they are depends all on the killer player and suviours don't have counterplay so there skill is invalided (mainly referring to them being able to cut off pallets and windows extremely easy with power, which on some maps that have barely any recourses feel horrible to verse without sprint burst and even with SB some maps there are so little recourses it's a free hit anyways)
It's like nurse a bad nurse is easy to verse but someone who is skillful in playing her can always get a 4k and suviours looping skill just gets thrown out window.

Obvious SWF is obvious, apparently.
The ability to see the survivors and what items they're bringing is a core aspect of the killer being able to setup their perks/items to help compensate and know what to expect. Being a 4v1 match, this is the balance. I don't know of a way that would prevent a killer lobby dodging while still having this. Locking any of the players to the lobby until the countdown is done will just cause people to disconnect or not play.
It really wouldn't matter, anyway. If they remove the ability to lobby dodge then killers will likely just AFK or meme until the match is over. Or DC, play something else until the DC timer is done (if it's a long one), or just play something else for the rest of the play session. Either way it wouldn't force the trial to play out normally but could increase the survivor queue times, or cause more MMR wonkiness by throwing random MMR killers in to fill the role.
I'm guessing it also doesn't happen nearly often enough to be a concern or more people would be complaining and BHVR would've made a change (likely for the worse) by now.
I would rather meme matches or afk as that would be faster then the lobbies.
no, it's not balanced around that, if it was Survivor quick switching wouldn't be a thing,. I'm fine with seeing items just put them on generic survivors with no prestige level,.
and the devs know its a issue, that's why they tested hiding prestige levels.

im not against seeing items. show items on a generic survivor that the person is playing with no prestige level. also, that argument of its balanced around seeing items isn't true as survivors can quickly switch in the lobby so its not balanced around that at all.
-

It's not punishing anyone. It's hiding stuff like prestige and skin so killer can't just leave based on those factors.

I was solo q not everyone high level is swf.
I do not agree with it being balanced around seeing items, if it was they would remove surviour quick switching last second.
All though I am not asking for killers not to see items, I want the survivors to look generic and no prestige so the killer can't just look over a lobby at a glance and go "oh everyone is decently high prestige and got nice skins time to leave" then we stuck waiting for match for 30mins.
I understand leaving because of real world issue but that is not what's happening as it's like 10+ killers in a row doing it.
I know we can do stuff like hide our profile but they need to add a option where we only show it in EGC in case you meet nice people in game or giving surviours the option to hide there prestige, skin ( uses default skin of character you are)/and profile in the lobby I would be happy with that too and those thing have nothing to do with balance of the game.
Also side note devs know this is a issue and tested thing like hiding prestige before.

I was in solo q. not everyone is a SWF., its a horrible killer main mentality. I'm fine with seeing items just make all the survivors generic so killer cant just leave base of prestige.
afking and memeing is better than being stuck in the lobby forever and then straight up getting someone new too the game and feeling like we are just bullying them. to the point they just stand in the corner.

DH could extend loops for ages. UW helps you find people like with BBQ or Lethal or other info perks. It does not shorten the actual chase in any way (or does it auto break pallets, locks windows or insta downs?) so it cannot be as strong as DH. It does not stall gens either. I would say it is on a similar level as WoO. It is just information but a powerful one.
I will deal with UW as I dealt with aura perks back in the day: I learn how to play around it. Distortion was on similar use as Calm Spirit now. Nobody used it. Now many use it because Aura perks are popular. Of course killers will swap to a perk that is not countered by Distortion. It is how it goes.
BBQ you have to hook someone and it's only people a certain distance away.
Letal you have get it ONCE at the start of the game.
UW you can basically use it whenever you want, it intrupts actions like totems, gens. You can open a locker and teleport around the whole map with some killers and it's bullshit. You shouldn't be able to just get it for free by opening a locker then be able to walk around the whole map and just reveal everyone.
UW encourages people to tunnel as it is not countered by Off the record or perks that hide you from killer so they can't tunnel you.
This perk needs a rework and anyone defending it obviously only plays killer or dosen't verse competent killers.
It wither needs to have a shorter usage time (5 seconds at most) or have it work on a token based system (eg. once a generator is completed you gain 2 tokens )

By that definition even cheaters shouldn't be banned. It's not their fault that the anti cheat in place isn't great.
If you abuse this kind of stuff (and it's obvious when someone does), then you deserve the consequences. You know that this is not intended and you know that it makes you invincible.
I just came out of a match with 3 people that last second switched to flashlights and held me hostage. You'd think the last person would do gens but nooooo! Once they realised what was going on they went afk. So I had exactly 3 options. Go afk myself, wait for the game to force close or disconnect. Great! I decided to go afk and when I came back I was disconnected and didn't get any points. At least the 3 ######### with their flashlights got a bunch of BP each.
Cheaters use out of game methods.
This is something that the devs fail the fix and people can do in normal gameplay.

The xeno cooldown bug does not hold the game hostage nor is the bug something the player really controls.
The locker + flashlight exploit holds the game hostage and it's something that the player has to intentionally do. You don't just accidentally bug yourself into the locker making yourself invincible.
Xeno can hold the game hostage by blocking hooks yet no kill switch.
Holding game hostage should be bannable
Advertising it should be bannable.
But people who are just using it to be goofy shouldn't be banned. It's up to devs to make sure there game isn't bugged. They could of kill switched flashlights as soon as this bug came to prevalence.

What kind of logic is this? Defending people that are abusing *exploits*?
If people find a glitch they should report it, and not make showcase videos on YT/TTV
There's an *extreme* level of difference between the locker glitch allowing you to take a game hostage and the xeno bug not slowing you down an extra 0.1ms after M2.
Abusing exploits that allow you to take the game hostage should be instant ban.
There's no possible claim that people doing this are accidentally stumbling upon it since it requires you to bring a specific item , then do a specific button input in order to noclip into a locker.
People who showcase it should be banned
People who hold the killer hostage should be banned
People that are just fooling around with it shouldn't be banned.
-
@Annso_x said:
People who take advantage of bugs can be reported for exploits.
Nobody should be banned for devs mistakes. They are playing the game as installed. If anyone gets banned over this it'll be ridiculous when the devs can kill switch flashlights in a hour.
It's not up to the player base to not use glitches because you can't fix your game. The Fast vaults where technically a glitch, is everyone that did a mega fast vault before patch gonna be banned?
Is everyone playing xeno right now gonna be banned because cooldown glitch?
It should be kill switch by the devs you should not punish people who are playing the game as installed when the devs can just kill switch flashlights.
Example of the new tcm game. They aren't banning people for using xp bugs. They are fixing it.
