If you can't tunnel or camp effectively, that's on you, it is not hard.
Friend. If I hook someone and someone is already behind me, I CAN'T stop an unhook. It's not possible.

They do not get unhooked if the Killer has any sort of brain.
So bomb rushing the hook doesn't work?
That's new to me. I dont play Bubba.
I have survivors unhooking right after I hooked. I just hooked and seconds later, a survivor rushes in and unhooks. Jokes on me, they have deliverance.
Camping and tunneling are not the "fix all" - solutions for killer. If your not playing a character that has the ability to down fast, both strategies can cost you the match.
I'm all for less camping and tunneling in dbd but that's not what the game seems to indicate right now.

The primary idea was to make lose-lose scenarios where players had no agency less common.
That has been unsuccessful.
I thought the excessive camping situations where the main target they wanted to tackle.
In my opinion, that worked.
Camping will never go away. The killer would have to be a Bot themselves. If a player decides to camp, they will camp.
Best that can be done is to give the player a reason to leave. Limiting where you can be is not the best course of action if you ask me. It always feels bad.
Last but not least, why is this a lose lose situation? A survivor gets unhooked. That's a win situation in my book. Sure it's just an exchange, but that's better to how it was not too long ago with hook grabs rewarding literal face camping.
What we have now is undoubtedly better, but hopefully not the final solution.

Almost nobody facecamped anyway. So the work put into this system was pointless from the start. Thanks for the confirmation. :)
If nobody face camped, then I agree with you. It's was a waste of time.
But they wanted to get rid of facecamping. That was absolutely achieved.
Don't talk about an anti-camp mechanic if there isn't one.

Oh gee, the Killer has to stand 15 feet away now, surely that's enough distance for the Survivor to make it to the hook...right?
And that had to go?
Did they say that they where trying to change this?
Not that I'm aware of.

Yes, and it is correct that this is taken into account. But because of this, I expect the solution to be non-existent. And, like with their Camping-"Solution", a lot of work which could have been spend elsewhere.
The anti - face - camp works as intended.
Did you see a killer facecping in your games? I for sure didn't see any in mine.
Proxy camping or camping in general was never intended to leave. The feature was implemented to battle the most egregious cases of the killer just standing directly at the hook aka FACE camping.
To say this over and over again is getting old.
-
I don't do it. It's super boring.
I play around hatch. If I find it, it's boring gate - game.
If I dont find it, I dont care.
Can't blame someone for doing it though. It's the best result for the killer role. You can't blame someone for wanting to achieve the best result.

Main: Piggy!
Music I associate with her:
"Hello Zepp" of course! ✨🐽✨
The one from the new Saw x is really good. But the first is also amazing.

Ok...

Also.... You main skull merchant. I'm impressed you dont win all of your games by default.

I remember watching OhTofu trying to get Bubba's adept (he was doing a killer adept series) and nearly losing his mind.
I haven't tried most. I just don't care that much. I'll give it a shot when a killer first comes out, but for all the established killers I have at nearly 4K hours? Life's too short to deal with that mess.
It was a relief when i finally got it.
Just took around 20 tries.
The new system helps killer like Bubba or Billy a lot when it comes to adepts.

@Thusly_Boned said:

Getting killer adepts is definitely harder because killers are much more perk dependent. It's a little less so if the killer just dropped and your MMR for them is relatively low. If you are trying to get an adept for a well used killer that you might have a high MMR with, it can be pretty irritating.
Of course up until recently getting killer adepts was miles harder because getting a merciless rating wasn't as simple as a 4K, but the result of arcane mathematics that often made no sense.
Adept Bubba was the first and only time where I rage quit dbd.
Who can blame me.

Everyone should play however they want. This does not include cheating of course.

Nurse's herself is problematic, her base-kit.
And i did not meant they are good. It's just their ego. They just wanna show you they defeated you with only add-ons.
Well....
The addons are as strong or stronger than / as 2 or sometimes even 3 perks so....

Nah they just want to show how good they are. If they were really care about other side, they could not use those busted add-ons.
I don't care whatever perks or add-ons they use tho. It's just shows how busted killers are Nurse and Blight.
C33 does not show how good you are as Blight. It shows how bad you are with him.
This addon is so strong, that you don't have to play good at all with the blights rushes. You can just vaporize pallets and get hits that way. A good m1 killer with no threat at pallets and map mobility is seriously overtuned.
Nurse has no busted addon that I'm aware of. Some are good yes, but not nearly as strong as blights arsenal of nuclear weapons.
-
It's Freddy....
Are you surprised?
-
Yes and no?
Depends on your definition of "well designed". There is no objective opinion on the matter, so saying that something is poorly designed or well designed is hard to judge.
I'd say, yes. It's a fun killer to play as and for some also to face. Outplaying a Xeno can feel incredibly rewarding. Like luring a beast into a trap. No other killer offers that kind of gameplay. Personally I like it, but that's just me.
One thing is can say for sure: Xeno has a ton more counterplay than pre2019 Spirit.

Improving tutorials is something we're always interested in, and any suggestions you may have are more than welcome. You're right that it's not a small game anymore, there's a lot more to learn nowadays if you're just picking up the game. Though one thing we do need to be careful about is overwhelming someone who's playing for the first time. Everyone's got their limit, you can only soak up so much information at once before stuff starts going in one ear and out the other. We really try to focus on the fundamentals (what is your objective, what kind of things you can find around the map to help you, etc.) because they are guaranteed to come in handy no matter what your first match is.
When it comes to specific Killers, though, then things get a bit more complicated. There's 34 Killer so far, so if each one had even a 2 minute tutorial, you'd be sitting through a lot of guides before you can start playing. That's a lot to take in, and I'm not sure how many people would be willing to sit through all that. We do have loading screen tips that appear the first few times you play against any Killer. These briefly explain how the Killer's power works and what you should do or not do. I'm personally a big fan of these. They make sure whatever you need to know is fresh in your mind, and the fact that they appear while you're loading means you don't have to go out of your way to find them.
Maybe there could be an option in every killers menu or shop screen, where someone that is interested can learn about them. This would by no means feel forced but be a nice addition for those that are frustrated.
A map testing would be very appreciated by everyone I think. People are already running perks just to learn the huge variety of maps that dbd has to offer right now. An option, where everyone could explore these realms and maps at their own pace would help a lot before they battle it out in public matches.

dunno why people force these situations
why would I want the killer to intentionally bleed me out for 4 minutes

Some people just love to waste time.

Just remove the mechanic, that hooks get destroyed when a survivor gets sacrificed on it.
It serves no purpose anymore and only leads to this.

I want old Sadoko back. Sadako rework is a sign the devs don't read the PTB section on the forums as there were tons of negative reviews from her mains and survivors which in this game is pretty rare. Also as survivor teamates not taking tapes is annoying. At least she is getting a change hopefully back to old Sadoko. I know fellow former Sadoko mains like @radiantHero23 will agree with me for the most part.
Whoever came up with Tricksters rework, I need to have a serious word with. I have no idea what was going through their head. I have not won a single match against him. A ranged killer 4.6? Main event is also busted. I already hated him and is now my least favourite killer in the game. If they do this to Huntress then I will quit the game until they change it back and if I recall correctly she is getting a tweak or a change next year.
Agree!
I played her yesterday in my dayly rotation.
It felt boring and awful. Just like always with the new Sadako. So I went back to Chucky, Xeno, Demo, Bubba and.... PIG.
I hope that they finally realize that all the feedback wasn't coming out of nowhere and give her the changes she deserves in the upcoming update.

I only know the new Bubba. The most annoying was twins for me. After that I wasn't really farming for it, but equipped 3 perks always when I did the dailys.
You had to get merciless with only his perks. But merciless meant having a perfect game with grades. Bubba is a killer that gets no points for his power and has no map pressure or mobility. On top of that I used no addons. His perks are awful in him with the exception of BBQ.
You play with one info perk against good survivors and are supposed to get a minimum of 10 hooks while using your power to the absolut max.
It was a nightmare. The hardest challenge I ever did in dbd.

I have finished every adepts with Survivor and Killer. Everyone who is telling me that Killer adepts are easier than Survivor, don't played many adepts or only want to troll.
It's true that it can be finished sometimes in only one or second try but this is random and hatch luck. You need to patrol the gens tunneling only isn't working in the most cases.
I rage quit one single time in my 3.600h in dbd.
The 16th attempt of getting Bubbas adept.
I had to literally shut down my pc and go for a walk. It was this bad.
Im normally an extremely calm and collected person. At least this is what most people that know me say.

Both take "more than a single game" which in dbd terms means both are practically impossible and not worth attempting.

Yeah, i just slug whenever i need adept. I don't like this but this is the only way to secure 4 kills when you need it.
And for your other message, i said " to me ". I am good killer and i am winning quiet often as killer. But as survivor, terrible matches after terrible matches. So it's hard to believe whenever someone says survivor is easier, it's not. Not for me.
For me, it depends.
It depends, whoever wants to win more.
If you want to win as Killer, you pick Nurse with good addons. Or to have it even easier: c33 Blight.
If you want to win as survivor, you get 3 really good friends or players in general, slap on 4 good perks, a med kit witha syringe or something similar and a nice map offering for garden of joy.
-
Fine by me.

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Not for me.
Killer is easier. It takes me first or second try to get killer adepts. Survivor adept can take longer since it depends on your teammates. And killer just can tunnel you out.
Agree to disagree.
Killer adept is harder.
"just tunnel someone out" is not the win-button you seem to think it is.

Just putting on these addons results in a killer that most survivor groups can't handle.
Any more perks for slowdown would just make the ridiculousness even worse.
Maybe these players want to play these addons but not feel too bad for the other side?
Maybe they want the game to be a tiny little bit more challenging?
C33 makes Blight one of the easiest and strongest killers in dbd. Out of the 3 (Nurse, Blight and Spirit) a C33 Blight is by far the easiest to play.
-
Happy new year friends!!!
-
Agree!
She needs an overhaul to her power. Right now, she literally has no counterplay what so ever. The only counterplay is based on the Nurse making mistakes. That's nor real counterplay, regarding that we are talking about a killer that can Clip through objects, ignoring survivors main sources of safety, pallets and windows.
For the overall health of the game, she has to change.
However, I agree with @GeneralV@General. If the rework looks like some of the ones done in the past, I pass on that opinion. We dont need another character that has to be tweaked again and again.

Just to name a few.I missread, i for some reason thought its about chapters.
Skins: Yes, give us more of that :)
Sometime in the future, we will get the illusory Freddy tome with tons of Freddy charms and an iridescent Freddy cosmetic based on the scene where Freddy fights someone being completely invisible.

Vaults are back to where they were before the last glitch. Medium and fast vaults are the same as in they provide the same speed and distance. Slow vaults are unchanged. Female survivors no longer have the bug that made their vaults really bad. Male survivors no longer have the bug that made theirs really good. BHVR is apparently looking into the bug that makes medium and fast faults functionally the same which is why vaults were ‘changed’ to begin with.
Oh god...
AGAIN!?!

Honestly, they should overhaul the entire tutorial section for both survivors and killers.
This is not a small game with 4 killers and 4 survivors anymore. There are so many sometimes convoluted mechanics to learn, that a general tutorial is not enough. There is nothing about the AFC, base kit BT, different killer powers, general perk categories (slowdown, second chance, info, end game, etc.), nothing on what to look out for during a chase on both sides... You're basically thrown to the wolves as a beginner.
I think an option, where maps can be played without any other player would help a lot of people.
Just to learn maps at your own pace.
Just go to tutorial, select a map, select the role you want to play and bam. Your alone on the map to explore and train.
No bots, no perks. Just you and the map.
Great for showcasing maps (Otz had to ask a Modder to showcase maps), training pathing and looping as well as learning killer powers at certain tiles without any pressure.
