She is in my roaster too and i am also played her long enough.
But building stacks on survivors from any teleport was just better. This was just best part of her new kit. And i thought they removed this but Peanits explained at above, she will work similar to her new kit. So i am fine now.
Any tp removed any strategic tp during chase. It became a spam fest. They even mentioned that in the dev notes.
Survivors should be able to circumvent being condemned by playing smart in chase.

Just to clarify a bit, it is not just a 16m area. It now applies within 16m of any powered TV, not just the one you teleported to. It will actually cover a decent chunk of the map unless Survivors take the time to shut off nearby TVs.
Oh?
That's interesting. The cooldowns in the TVs will remain the same though, yes?
And Projection will give one whole stack of condemned, correct?
Just to confirm.

Cooldowns was fine because you were building stacks on all survivors if they were not holding tape. Now you are limited with 16m area again and TV cooldowns will hurt her.
I really hated this rework, she was just fine after rework. Fun and strong.
And you can't even destroy tapes now. There is zero risk to hold it.
If you don't know / knew how to play her, that's on you.
She's /was by far not as bad as you put it right now. I played her for long enough time to be really good. With these sort cooldowns and her old kit, she will be a force to reckon with. Tapes are incredibly scary now. Due to her building it up faster now (if she's good) you WILL want to use them. If she finds out which TV you need, you need serious teamwork to stop her.
They even improved her chase by making reikos watch partially basekit.
The rework made her dull and watered down. This is what she needed.
I'm sorry, but on this, I stand my ground and defend it.
I fought hard enough for this.

Yes but now she is weak killer again. Old Sadako's problem was TV cooldowns was so long. They brought old Sadako without fixing problem. I'd be fine if they would look at that too but no... They just ignored.
This is really shame.
They didn't touch the cooldowns. They remain the same!
No long cooldowns!

They listened and even made reikos watch part of the base buffs.
Big, fat THANK YOU to all people that helped to make this happen!

Yeah, come on, we can't even heal anymore. We need a little help, they could always implement it and then reverse it if it becomes a problem.
I think the basekit Kindred should also show the aura of The Pig at all distances while a Survivor is hooked too. She is too scary, I can't handle her.
Bruh...

Why are you suprised at all? I just played a game with a c-tier-killer and got a sweaty swf. (yes, you cant tell they are an swf, even if they all took a hook offering, and run saboteuer, and 2 had a flashlight. They could still have been solos)
After that, i dont play at all for now, but next match that i play i wont take a c-killer again.
Calm down before pressing that start button
Games are supposed to be fun ✨🐽✨

And so what do you propose?
The game cannot go on like this indefinitely. People DC, people AFK, people suicide every game.
Players are massively burnt-out due to either extremely unfun Killers, maps or perks. When a good percentage of the playerbase despises 45% of the roster, there's a HUGE issue.
Im sorry friend, but I dont have all the answers that this game needs. Also just human you know.
For me personally it's a community thing. If we all try to be better and accept some killer designs for what they are, we can all enjoy the game a bit more. This doesn't change the fact, that some killers are unfun to go against. My mentality is: I pressed "play" so I play. No matter what comes. I don't dodge lobbies with the exception of some ttv people because I dislike being content.
Throughout this mentality I even found fun in playing against Legion, Artist, Wraith and even Knight. A couple of weeks ago I had a 3gen knight, which successfully held my soloq team hostage for 45 minutes. We all stayed in the match and did a lot of funny and dumb stuff. It was hilarious. After we died because the Knight decided to go away from his precious we wrote in end game chat, that we wanted the whole hour experience.
If we start thinking less entitled and change our mentality to be more open for some types of gameplay, we can all enjoy the game more.
Does that mean, that the game is fine and not problematic at all? No. Definitely not. There are killers, perks, mechanics and maps that need changing to offer a more enjoyable experience.
Maybe people should focus more on what makes their games fun and less at what makes them unfun.
Sadly you know as good as I do, that this will probably never be the case.
If you have a better suggestion, feel free to tell me. I just don't think, making a good amount of people playing against 4 bits all the time is the correct way. It's a way that leads to many people quitting.

I don't know, you can ask them. But i am seeing a lot killers are sending me here as well. People can use map offerings for different reasons. For example, i don't care how much dead zones they have but i love Coldwind Maps. So usually i am using them.
But by stats, Saloon is one of the most killerside maps ever.
And the coldwinds have notoriously low kill rates.
Saloon is a widely liked map as far as I know.
You can of course disagree with that.

That's bad thing.
Loops are weak, fast downs. Except main building but smart killers won't chase survivor here.
Map is so small, easy 3-gen.
Map is so small, easy map for killers like Nurse, Blight.
Map is so small, easy to proxy camp and gen patrolling.
A lot dead zones, especially around main building full of dead zones.
This map is one of the worst maps in game.
They need to add some good loops behind main building and then maybe it will be fine.
Then I ask you one thing. Why is it the 2nd to 3rd most used map offering from survivors in my matches?

I could just play Skull Merchant for three months
Also, disappointed you didn't engage with my points at all
Ok. Thought you like short answers.
I played during the time where there was no penalty. You could dc and there would be no time out.
I had survivors quitting for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes just because of the killer I played, the map, that they got found first, no deliverance, dh didn't work out offerings not fine and so on.
It was honestly ridiculous. I quit playing the game after a couple of days because i barely got any games where all five played the game out.
This is not how the game should be. If someone doesn't want to play, they should maybe rethink before going into a lobby before ruining the game for the other 4. Maybe it's not their day to play dbd. The others should have to suffer for that. A bot doesnt make it better.
This is a problem with the selfish mindset many players in this game have. "I dont like to play anymore, therefore I quit. I dont care about the others".
Maybe don't start playing then?
Everyone knows how the game is. Therefore they should know what they can encounter. Going into a match, seeing that it's a killer you dont like and quitting is not ok.
"But you can't force people to play something they dont like!"
Of course you can't. But maybe these players that quit by the first sight of a killer they don't like, a map they don't like, a perk they don't like or an item they do t like should seriously reconsider before pushing that start button.
Quitting every match until you find that soloq - group or that no - slowdown - Hillybilly is insane. A lot of players think that way. You know it, I know it.
I stand by my point. I like to play matches out.
This was my Ted talk.
-
Good list!
I agree with most of them!
-
No.
Not by a long shot.

I disagree. Map is so small and outside of main building, loops are terrible bad. It had one of the highest kill rates, i don't know how this map is good
It's small. That means more chases. Less camping. Killers can control gens more without needing to run for minutes straight. Trapper actually has trapping spots on saloon.
Some of the house tiles on the lower long side can spawn strong structures. The killer needs to break a wall if the survivors are good there.
It's considered one of the most fun maps to play on because it offers lots of interaction.
This is undoubtedly killer favored but that's not entirely a bad thing if you ask me.

Did you actually play during the period of the game that had no penalty for leaving or did you play while it was disabled. There's a MASSIVE difference.
Way back when, I saw DC's just as much as I see hook suicides or DC's now, the reason they were more numerous for you is because disabling the DC penalty is a new shiny toy, it would fade in novelty. There's no reason to have a system to punish people who DC when we have bots. All that does is encourage people to suicide on hook instead.
If you want to play against bots for 3 months straight, go ahead.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3622375#Comment_3622375
So nothing would change.
A lot would change.
I played during the "No DC penalty" period.
I had almost no games as killer because everyone just quit. There's a nice video of cmwinter showcasing this.
Right now, most of my games are played out to the end. I rarely have DC. I sometimes have people giving up, but no DC.
Giving this option to this playerbase ends in chaos.
Sorry. Agree to disagree.
-
DC penalties need to stay.
Otherwise matches would almost never be finished normally.

All maps released before Dead Dawg got their ‚Realm Beyond‘ graphical reworks now
Reading this feels like being stabbed in the heart, ngl.
Still, Ormond did indeed get changed in-between. I remember the OG Ormond's layout, and it was different.
I wonder what will happen to it this time.
As far as I know, it was a horrible map before it got changed.
Wasn't it tied with cowshed for the worst of the worst?

I am feeling like BHVR is gonna gut this map like how they did to Borgo aka Big Dead Zone.
Red Forest is also terrible after rework, gens are spawning so close to each other.
I don't know who asked rework for this map when people are begging reworks for Saloon, Springwood and Garden of Joy.

Saloon doesn't need a rework. It's one of the best maps BHVR has put out.

They're not gonna get deliverance against a camping killer since it requires a safe unhook though.
What problem, exactly, was anti-facecamp supposed to fix, then?
Killers standing directly at the hook. This was especially nasty if a Cannibal, Trickster or Huntress did it.
In that regard, I can say that I also got value from it. Had a Huntress standing right in front of me on the hook with her hatchet ready. Bar filled up and I got out. It worked exactly as intended.
Batteling camping as a whole needs a far more complex solution if you ask me.

Unlucky!
-
@Peanits said:
The Sacrificial Ward only negates the increased chance to be sent to a realm from another map offering. There is still the normal chance you may be sent there, however.
That said, if you'd prefer it work differently, I'd suggest making a post in the feedback section.
It should maybe be more common since map offerings are so commonly used.

Skull Merchant sure is a difficult problem to solve.
I only played against her original version once, I wasn't here for most of the chaos. I was told by people who I trust that she was horrendous to go against, and I have no doubt this is the truth.
But she still is awful to go against, in my honest opinion. Maybe her 3-gen strategies aren't as effective as they used to be, but that doesn't mean she is fun. At all.
Due to countless terrible experiences, I am not one to call for things to get changed or reworked. But in her case, I don't really see another choice.
She held people hostage for entire hours, forcing a game shut down.
All done with literally 0 effort.
This spawned the legendary chess - meme.
I had the pleasure of going against her twice and sat there with my soloq team for one whole hour. When we finally all died by time out, she just wrote "ez".
She created one of the most unhealthy playstyles in the game and gave rise to an impressive amount of trolls much to the dislike of other trolls and troll-groups in the game. You could win 90%+ of your game while doing almost nothing. You just needed patience.
This went so far, that one of these chess - merchant players made fun of one of these comp groups and held them hostage for 50 minutes (because they didn't know how to tackle the problem and tried a ton of strategies mid match on top of having a ton of perk and item restrictions, but I guess the message counts).
Not a fun time to play survivor.

@Killing_Time said:

Maybe you would have a point if camping and tunneling wasn't at an all time high currently. I don't think taking away survivors' options to extend chase is helping in regards to combat tunneling and camping, it's just making it easier for killers to have guaranteed wins by doing so.
Giving them super easy to use for free is also just punishing people to play into these strategies.
This is how we got here. There needs to be a reward for playing for hooks AND a punishment for tunneling.
But making chases super long without much effort from the survivor side will ALWAYS result in the killer player tunneling and camping.
Gen efficiency can be tackled. Chase time is harder. Old DH made chases last from 30 seconds to entire minutes just for pressing a button without any counterplay of the killer. And you expect a killer will play for hooks after that happens? After that happens up to 12 times and more during a match?
That's not gonna happen.
I know that I don't have an definitive solution for tunneling and camping. I don't think many of us actually do. But extending chases especially in the early game is NOT the way to go. Sorry.

@Firellius said:

But if they unhook immediately, you're not camping, they're just throwing by giving you a free hookstate.
If they have deliverance that's anything but throwing but ok.
Proxi camping is strong. But that was never meant to go with the anti face camp mechanic. That's all I wanted to say.
Camping and tunneling are also not an auto win strategy. Without the correct killer and on the wrong map, it can go very badly for the killer player. If the survivors are not on point though, it is very effective, yes.
-
@Pink_Ronin said:
I just don't understand how coup can exist and not be problematic, when old DS was considered a problem for granting the same benefit to survivors.
Killer lunge = good
survivor lunge = bad?
Well....
It's a 1v4. The more the killer can go for chases, the less tunneling and camping you will see. Ds made the killer waste so much time that they couldn't go for many chases. Therefore being problematic.
Coup allows the killer to finish chases faster. Therefore allowing the killer to go for more chases. That's why the Perk is not problematic in overall balancing.
-
@GeneralV said:

Freddy has the standard lunge, every killer has except Huntress and Hag prior to patch 2.2.0 and Myers once he reaches Tier 3.
But Freddy never had a different lunge, it has always been the standard one.
It just looks funny because his weapon is a bit shorter than the hitbox.
The hitbox and the lunge are just like all the others. It's just his model that is shorter. I think this is what people find confusing.

Here are the results:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZJMHPXMY4XOP/image.png
Map was Sanctum of Wrath, with GARBAGE totem spawns.
Sadly Lullaby didn't do much, it got blessed shortly after Undying. Brutal Strength was there because I rarely play without it. It has always been a good perk on Freddy.
And Third Seal carried this game.
It is amazing how people get a bit disoriented without auras. Jeff hit struggle phase on his first hook because I think no one paid attention to the bubble, and afterwards they couldn't see him. Same with that last second-switch Claudette over there.
And Jill didn't know where Yui was, so she couldn't heal her from the dying state.
Overall, I liked the results and the build. Just wished I had gotten a better map for totems.
And they didn't even have WoO

Interesting build.
Not just soloq.
It's more about people that boost themselves into levels, they shouldn't compete in.
Toolboxes with bnp, Medkits with syringes, quad meta but they can't hit skill checks with huntress lullaby or know the layout of the main building. The build is thought for these kind of people. It's a test of their knowledge and skill in the basics of the game. That's my intention at least.
But yes. It sadly also punishes soloq harder.
