With the lowest kill rate, becsuse she's incredibly difficult to play well.
She's not hard.
There are a ton of killers that are a lot harder to play. Performing well with nurse comes down to game knowledge and a bit of muscle memory. Mastering nurse is something entirely different.
A decent nurse, however, wins a majority of public matches. Mastering her is, based off of my experience, not necessary outside of a comp. setting.
Her design is outdated and should change completely for the game to prosper.
She has proven time and time again to be a problem, but rather than taking the time to fix this, bhvr chooses to balance the game around her, ignoring the problem.

Killers got (heavily buffed versions of) some of their best add ons built into their 2v8 abilities. Saying they "can't have add ons" is not exactly true.
And survivors don't have to do double the amount of gens and can heal each other in a couple of seconds, am I right?

From how the blight skin from resident evil is banned, I think its unlikely we'll see killers from other franchises in 2v8 any time soon.
One can hope right?

@Mandy said:
Without even mentioning the balancing issues that would need to happen in that mode - killers would have to be heavily nerfed for it to be remotely balanced, which is not fun to play. It actually will just move the queue problem to the other side, it wouldn't solve the problem.
I'm curious.
To what level are you (not you specifically @Mandy ,but you know what I mean) willing to accept an unbalanced mess that is fun over a balanced experience that is less fun due to player optimization?
-
Do NOT lower the timer of the reverse bear trap on Pig.
They can be incredibly lethal if rng is right and the killer played it correctly.
It's good where it's at right now.
-
Fun > competetive.
I don't mind losing in 2v8 as killer. I also don't mind waiting a ton of time. Talked to a friend the last few days that plays ff14 and they told the that queue times can be a LOT worse.
I can also start drawing in my sketch book while waiting.
2v8 is a lot more fun to me than 1v4. Sure, it's a lot less balanced and yes, survivor is very strong to some degree. Do I care though?
Not one bit.
I can play killer with a friend.
Ive been playing dbd for a long time and around 75-80% of my play time is on killer. Playing coop is some of the best time I ever had playing this game.
Now they just need to add pig and life is good. 🐽

I actually disagree, I've had a blast on both sides.
Survivor: -
- Managed to make some clutch saves.
- Had loads of fun using the new abilities for pretty much all classes, that have all felt strong and useful.
- Have found that a lot of the more painful elements of playing survivor, such as being tunneled, slugged and 3-genned have all been significantly less of an issue than 1vs4 and the original 2vs8.
Killer: -
- Killer power classes have been fun to play around, and requires you to actually think about what your teammate is playing. Fearmonger Trapper is my favourite thus far.
- Expansion of killers has made the above point even more fun, and its great to see the lethality of Billy back in 2vs8. He felt very underwhelming in the original version.
- Making use of unique killer tricks feels more rewarding in this mode than normal, cause of the natural chaos of this mode. Its usually not too hard to find a weak link player.
- You don't have to deal with survivors stacking flashlights or BNP Commodius toolboxes, trying to bait you with DS, OTR or DH constantly, and everyone doesn't have WoO and Lithe and constantly holds W to Narnia without you at least being able to predict it off seeing the Chaser class.
However that's the joy of
buttsopinions… everyone has got one.Same honestly. It's been great so far!
-
BIG! We need his Freddy!
Maybe do it in combination with the nightmare on elm street - themed update that is coming up.
I sincerely hope that the license holders grew a bit more open for ideas over the years.

This isn't chaos. its just unfun Imo.
I wouldn't mind so much if it actually was chaotic but honestly that game didn't feel chaotic it just felt unfair. If BHVR want to actually put out a true chaotic mode for 2v8 then it needs to be the full killer roster avaliable and everyone both survivors and killers have random perks. Sort of a combo off 2v8 and Chaos Shuffle.
I would not implement perks in 2v8. Not even random ones. Perks have made more harm than they have do e good to the game overall if you ask me.
Having options limited is a lot better.
I'd be full in on just adding the other killers with a few minor tweaks. Yes, some combos might be nasty, but who cares. It's dumb fun. That's what I'm here for.
-
I think you misunderstood. 2v8 is not supposed to be balanced.
That's what makes it fun for me. It's chaos and that is great.
As killer, it feels like I'm doing the impossible each match. As survivor it feels like a fever dream.
-
Wraith feels so good to play. 4 out of the 8 killers are less than 4.6 and therefore lack map pressure. Wraith feels like a good addition for any combination.

Then you would want higher survivor bonus in 2v8 to make killer queue quicker correct?
I honestly don't mind the queue as much.
The match is worth the wait and I can draw in my sketchbook while waiting.
I personally don't see bp as such a a huge incentive. If it was iri shards, then I'd be hooked.
-
Take a deep breath and reflect. It this really worth getting this mad about it?
Then look at the sun and think of something great that has happened to you in the last few days. No matter how small it might be.
Have a good day!

Thank you as always for letting us know.
Have a big 👉🐽

I mean, I have everything unlocked and only spend bp for prestige on my Jill.
I can play killer with a friend. That by default makes it worlds better than 1v4. At least for me personally.

It’s because BH is giving survivors what they want. A mode that ensures killers function just as a dumb chasing npc so survivors can win every game and mock them. It’s the single most survivor mode ever created, that’s why queues are like this etc. Idk what they were thinking when they made those perks. At least is evident that killers won’t play if we keep going in this direction.
That's why everyone wants to play killer?

Pinhead sounds mean.
Overall, I think every killer works.
2v8 is about chaos and fun. I don't really mind if things go a little wonky.

To all the killers crying on various forums:
Survivor is not fun, at all. Same problems as normal games. People intentionally trolling, dropping pallets when no one is around, intentionally failing skill checks (like every time I'm with that person on a gen or heal, they fail). Points mainly come from altruism, actually doing objectives is mediocre points, chases don't last long against the average killer thanks to their buffs or the second killer, and no points for survival if you don't get out. So most of us are just playing to unhook and heal each other and then maybe escape second. Any point modifier below 250% is not worth playing, and I wouldn't even be doing 250% if I didnt need to prestige characters.
Every killer has a viagra-fueled hardon, and I suspect it's because you WILLING subject yourself to the queue times. I've met one decent killer who saw a Jill intentional grief me by showing him I was in a locker at our gen, so he just slugged me and let me recover, TWICE! I got lucky enough to hatch that match thanks to him.
Yes, you may see gens go quickly in some of your games, but my sample size is probably much bigger than yours due to my amount of free time, and that is not the norm. If both killers are average, its probably a killer win. Even one mediocre killer generally doesn't tank the team. The only decisive wins I've seen have been two bad killers who probably aren't coordinating, didn't pay attention to the info they got (2 survivors on a gen and you get an aura, how can you miss that?) or use killers theyre not good with (nurse and blight, looking at you guys), and even then they still get +25k points. Also, any action or specialization that reveals survivors is so strong. The number of times I've been absolutely screwed by the revealed status when trying to hide while cornered is astronomical.
And I write all this knowing full well I'm only an average survivor, maybe a little above average. I cannot chase long because I have not and will never be able to learn all these maps, so when even I can juke and loop a killer multiple times, then I know that killer has a skill issue, no offense. But even in this game mode, those killers still have a heavy advantage.
I don't know my friend, I just popped a Gen in 3 seconds and healed 4 survivors with the press of a button. Seems good to me XD
Edit:... or at least more bearable than soloq 1v4.

by that logic you can safely remove directional lullaby, since survivors, that don't pay attention to it, will see no difference, but it will help Onryo against survivors, that do pay attention, rendering her stealth much weaker
I would remove the directional part, yes.

spirit moves MUCH faster than Sadako
She indeed does, that does not negate my point though if a survivor camps a strong pallet against a spirit, they should never get hit by your logic. In reality, this is not the case. You'd be surprised how many people still fall for the stand-still-"trick".
On paper, you are correct with Sadako. In reality, it's a viable stealth tool.
-
@jokere98 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3838453#Comment_3838453
I don't think the lullaby kills her stealth. It just let's the survivor know that she's approaching. Doesn't tell them from where and when she will appear. Therefore it is still very much possible to get some free hits due to being demanifested.I believe her lullaby becomes directional at some distance, so, there is little chance to catch survivors off guard
With that logic, spirit should rarely get a hit.
Edit: what I mean by that is, that most people don't play with really good headphones. A good amount of people don't play with headphones at all. Directional audio can be hard to make out sometimes.

Exactly. A Prime Example was the Blight-player who lost his Winstreak of almost 2000 to a very strong team which wanted to win the game.
This person was sweating for almost 2k games, every game, bringing the strongest stuff all the time, stomping thousands of pub Survivors. But was getting a Meltdown when he faced a team who did the same (and obviously this was such a big problem that Survivors can do that. Winning against a Killer on a 2k Winstreak is a big bad thing, but achieving that 2k Winstreak should be completely fine, he is just good at the game…).
Same with videos of the specific content creator in OP - he is winning most of his games. But when he loses a game, it is suddenly a big problem.
That's called having an ego problem. Many players in dbd have that.
They played the game for a long time and therefore believe that they are better than everyone else to some extend.
If they lose a game, they often rather blame the games balance than to look at own mistakes or even more important, their behaviour.
Lots of these people live in a world of their own, expecting things to go THEIR way. In a multiplayer 1v4 game...

-
The same reason why wraith makes sounds when cloaked.
Sadako has the fastest transition in and out of stealth in the game, while maintaining full movement speed when demanifested. I assume, to counter these points, the lullaby got implemented. It's also pretty accurate to the film.
I don't think the lullaby kills her stealth. It just let's the survivor know that she's approaching. Doesn't tell them from where and when she will appear. Therefore it is still very much possible to get some free hits due to being demanifested.
I wish however, that some of her useless addons would change to effect the lullaby. The telephone could invert the lullaby, making it play map wide and only getting silent, when sadako is approaching.
Addons like the sea soaked cloth or rickets pinwheel could decrease the radius of the lullaby.

My bad. I responded to the wrong comment. My cincerest apologies, I didn't want to confuse you.
Regarding your statement. I do agree. Most Gen perks are too game changing. On both sides. However, some form of slowdown is required on most killers due to survivors having an efficiency advantage by default (which is not utilized in a majority of matches).
I still think that it would he an interesting experiment to see, how the kill rates would look like in a week without any gen related perk.

You can find a bunch of these videos on this person's channel.
Some of them show him getting absolutely stomped, some show him absolutely stomping.

I wouldn't trust myself with that power.
I would dodge every Wesker, every Trickster, every Blight, every Artist… I know for a fact I would lobby dodge until I get a killer I actually like going against.

Id like to see the addon buffed. The playstyle is the only (reasonable) counterargument against the removal of map offerings.
A buffed scratch mirror Myers that is viable on more then 3ish maps > map offerings being a plague for the games overall balance.

I mained her too and performed well but that's because of my own skills as a killer; not sadako's kit. I beat teams that were really good but when I did I never thought "I won because her power is amazing and clutched me the game" I could've beat the same teams if I were playing trapper/myers/freddy.
she had crappy stealth (still does lol) her condemn was horrible, and her tvs had 100 second cooldown. she was put in d tier by otz when she was in that state for a good reasonI don't really care and didn't really care about otz opinion on her now and back then. He didn't nearly play her as much as other people and didn't even try to play her to perfection, which took a lot of practice, or even understand what that needed.
Sadako was very difficult to perform well with against better teams because her power was so undertuned. Many of my games saw me losing 3-4 gens before I got condemned going. From there though, the game often turned in my favour.
She was more of an all or nothing character that had to be played almost perfectly to stand a chance.
However, she had a chance. Killers like Trapper or Myers did not have this chance.
Not d tier in my opinion. Somewhere in lower c.

Hes finally after 8 long years lore accurate in terms of stalking.

@UndeddJester said:
Been exploring this with my fellow Pig mains... our initial impressions:
- Tombstone Piece seems even more busted... you can actually get it off 4 times, 1 per survivor, and your stalk time is actually very good, barely a hinderance... you can actually get Evil Incarnate off this add-on alone, and it's basically same old Tombstone Piece, just even better... faster to get going, and more uses. This add-on is terrifyingly good, the only thing being a little harder to pop on demand with ten range inverse, but still amazing.
- The Judith Myers and Fragrant Hair Tuft add-ons are VERY painful to use. This combo of add-ons doesn't care really about the extra stalk limit of survivors, and the 400% on each is painfully slow, basically unusable... you really feel the no additional stalk with 2 survivors in your view more than ever. It's so painful there is literally no point using the JMT add-on.
- Basekit Myers feels better to play, much faster out of t1, but there is this issue that survivors can loop close to you and it is now slower to stalk. Hugging close is a pretty big pain.
The iri and tombstone Piece add-ons really need looking at again, the gulf between them with this change is unbelievable.
The reversal of the stalk rate is interesting, but we've got this issue where running towards Myers and looping him close is actually preferable whi h seems a little weird, and we also have this "slightly difficult to pop while closer" issue.
It's interesting as a set of changes, but there is absolutely more work to be done.
Pig seal of approval!!!

she was d-tier, and the only reason people think she wasn't was because she had a cheese strategy which worked extremely well against unorganized survivors but fell apart against good teams.

i'd consider stbfl more of exposed perk. that's technically chase perk but you don't see expose type perks that much either. Sometimes you see occasional mangled but it usually has very little impact due to the debuff expiring. dissolution and blood favour are jokes perks because you can outrun duration of the perk by running forward or looping windows.
Stbfl is an exposed perk??? Stbfl will not make you down people after one hit. Stbfl will make the survivor HAVE to take the next loop and not the 2nd or 3rd loop. Most of the time they will make it somewhere. They just cant choose very freely, where that somewhere is. Thats the strenght of Stbfl. It makes people have to do quick decisions and you would be suprised how many people in this game are not capable of doing that.
Both dissolution and blood favour can be great on certain killers. They are just not perks that you can just slap on every killer and get value. Personally I think perks should be like that to enable perk variety.

i did not say that. i said i am saying that for killer to consider changing their build play-style into something different than this large laundry list of game-delay perks:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/K7P6CB02CF6T/image.png
Haste perks are main potencial of chase builds for killer. besides bamboozle which is plaster fix to bad window design and slow-burner brutal strength, there isn't much for killer in relationship chases builds. arguably the most chase oriented builds in the game in my opinion right is Franklin demise+Weave attunement which gives aura's in loops for killer based off survivor's inability to manage their item. but that is like Opps, we made chase build, better get rid of that one.
A lot of the perks in the killer game encourage efficient soft-tunneling like aura perks, 3 gen like gen-kick perks, early hard-tunneling like gen-blocking perks but don't really promote killer for playing offensively and playing loose. Part of why playing playing loose and offensively is rarely seen on killer is because there simply aren't any killer chase perks that promote that gameplay style on killer end that are perceived as popular/good choices. The reaction you expect whenever you suggest out of the box is @GeneralV reaction or @ReverseVelocity reaction.
Im aware of that.
I do think that you can design good chase perks. However, a status effect like haste should never be given out easily due to how strong it is.
A good example is play with your food. It provides a very strong effect, however, this is locked behind heavy restrictions to keep its power in place.
Perks like Stbfl and blood favour showcase that a chase perk doesn't have to include the haste status to he effective.
Dissolution with a few tweaks could also become a decent chase perk.
The problem is haste. Not the idea of a chase perk.

my expectations for killer perk changes are rock bottom.
attitudes like that will not promote any perk variety on killer side. your response effectively bans any chase oriented builds from being relevant in the game.
So any chase related perks have to include haste now?
Edit: haste given out for free?
