There is no MMR. It’s all about getting a match as soon as possible.
Game is killer sided by design, and that design has only gotten worse over the years as killers get stronger and stronger to sell DLC. Devs have no desire to upset their cash cows.
It’s a team game, but there are very few tools enabling the team to actually play as a team and communicate. If tunneling one person out is so effective, think about how disadvantageous having one survivor trolling or being inexperienced is. Even one bad random can ruin a 3-man, never mind a full team of solos.
Best you can do is simply not engage. Don’t feed the trolls in match. Don’t give the company your money.

I can leave the game for months, come back, and 3/4k with minimal effort. I don’t have to know or care what perks survivors use. It’s always the same formula: patrol gens, chase survivors, hook survivors, repeat.
I play survivor with friends and I’m expected to know all 40 killers, their addons, their perks, how to counter them, and how to carry whatever randoms I get paired with.
The game always has been and always will be killer sided. They are indestructible, constantly increase in power because that’s how DLCs get sold, and encouraged to play as toxic as possible because there are no penalties for camping, tunneling, or slugging.

The PTR changes need to happen and they needed to happen YESTERDAY. So many killers are just tunneling and proxy camping AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS.
Anti-camp is joke. Solo Q has always been awful. Killers have a steady and ridiculous power creep with every new killer release. The devs simply do not care because plenty of people will buy their killers for the opportunity to play a one-sided game. I have not given this company money in 7 years and will not be doing so again because they cater to the lowest form of human life. The game is bad because it’s designed to be bad for 4 people and a power trip for 1. And I say this as a killer main. -
Do I tunnel? Sometimes. Stop unhooking the survivor before I even leave the area. Take 20-30 seconds and go do a generator, not unhook them when I’m one tile over kicking a generator or breaking a pallet. And don’t just stand there healing in the open afterwards.

use the perk that shows you chest auras

Yesterday, all my survivor games sucked because of sweaty survivors and killers. All my killer games were great because I would just butcher the sweaty survivors and then fool around with the remaining that actually wanted to do event things.
Today’s killer games have sucked because every survivor has been sweaty, despite me intentionally not hooking any of them. Don’t queue the event if you don’t want to spend at least a few minutes chucking snowballs at each other.

ngl even as a killer I'd play surv for this because it sounds like such a fun idea
That’s part of the idea, incentivizing killers to queue as survivors. Old Friday the 13th had options where you could skew your chances of being the randomly selected Jason. Town of Salem has offering-like items that skew your role odds.

Wouldn't comms mess with this idea?
Don’t think so. Old Town of Salem has text, and new Town of Salem has voice. I’ve played a lot of new Salem and with consistent groups, and unless it’s someone with really bad tells, it’s always a guessing game. And then if you guess wrong…
Doesn’t Among Us also have voice now? -
Also doing my first killer matches today for the tome. Survivors have gotten a lot better at playing, but I still won first two games, and then got kicked from server during the third. Been playing Wraith and he is too fast for me. I dominated my first match and got 39k points, but I think that’s because I was with a trapper so survivors were more often injured than healthy. Next two matches I seriously struggled to compensate for the speed increase and whiffed on so many swings.
Fourth game was with a Deathslinger and we were about even and had 1 hatch escape. Overall, game is more fun as a killer, but still not that fun. I feel pressed to play sweaty and not let down my teammate, and I can’t really be like “okay, you get a freebie” when I find a survivor within 10 seconds of match start, or there’s clearly an uneven matchup.

As someone who mains Wraith since the Freddy disaster if I want to be killer, he is a mind games killer. I win my games by being smarter than survivors. They are suicidally altruistic and will often unhook with 10 seconds, meaning I haven’t even had time to kick the generator and leave the area, so I’m right there inadvertently camping the hook, and you can’t ask a killer to pass up flesh when it throws itself at you. Wraith is also very easy to loop at a vault if he isn’t running perks for it, so I’ll body block a vault before uncloaking, or simply concede a chase I can’t win quickly and move on before wasting the time. Catching people in the open, fooling people into dropping pallets early in the game during chases I’m not actually committed to, and regularly kicking generators is how I win matches. All killers are going to be strong with addons, that’s not a Wraith specific issue. The killer is just using stealth and brains to outplay you, and there are multiple killers built around this concept. And it’s okay to be killed. Never go into a match expecting to live.

Survivors are playing 2v8 to farm altruism. Trying to escape is a secondary objective. If BP was rewarded based on team play, then it might be different. It just exacerbates the problems of 1v4.
-
On Saturday, my internet was laggy and playing survivor was depressing. So I went full nice killer (Bing Bong) with just BP farming perks, dropping people at the closest generator like “Come get your Dwight and do this generator,” or letting them wiggle off if their team was ignoring them. Sure, not everyone liked it, but most survivors were cool with it and the game in general was a lot more fun once they caught on I wasn’t trying to win. Gave everyone some good chase time, let them drop pallets on me, hook them if they ask for it, some people would even suicide after I opened the gate, insisting I deserved a kill. If someone was better than me, I got practice, and they got practice if I was better than them. No matter what, I’m still getting 25k BP from the first three categories, and they usually got more than me plus their queue bonus.
-
Big fan of the last one, especially since you could escape solo if your team was just there to dick around. And a coordinated group could stop the killer. 2v8 reminds me a lot of FT13, except miserable to play.

”Why are queue times so long for this role I chose to play as? Why don’t more survivors want to play a terrible game so that I can have fun at their expense?”
-
3pm on a Saturday, 350% survivor bonus. Last three standing picking each other up multiple times just so the killers can get a mori. You hijacked the match and then complain about long queue times. I’m not supporting this toxic behavior.
-
Everyone crying about generator speed is a killer main who hasn’t bothered to play survivor. Your sample size is incredibly small and does not represent the world at large. You get to see the generator when 2 or more people are on it. That’s literally every generator on these maps. You’re losing those gens because you chose to be distracted by other targets.
-
Wow, what arrogance. “I have 7 other people I’m communicating with through third party software. The game is fine and those other people are just bad.”
Your sample size does not reflect real life. -
Altruism is the only reliable category that a survivor is going to get BP from. Just like in normal mode, gens give way too little BP, you get get no BP if you don’t escape, and chases are non-existent because killers are overturned and the maps weren’t designed for this. All the survivors are basically just fighting each other for saves and heals and trying to escape second. I used to think the 150% wasn’t worth it, and now the 250% isn’t worth it either.
-
Hard disagree. Game mode is not fun. It’s just survivors farming altruism because that’s the only reliable source of BP and then escaping is a secondary objective. Every toxic trait you might find in a 1v4 is just doubled. Killers are overtuned and it’s the same combos and tunneling over and over. None of these maps were designed for this mode either.

To all the killers crying on various forums:
Survivor is not fun, at all. Same problems as normal games. People intentionally trolling, dropping pallets when no one is around, intentionally failing skill checks (like every time I'm with that person on a gen or heal, they fail). Points mainly come from altruism, actually doing objectives is mediocre points, chases don't last long against the average killer thanks to their buffs or the second killer, and no points for survival if you don't get out. So most of us are just playing to unhook and heal each other and then maybe escape second. Any point modifier below 250% is not worth playing, and I wouldn't even be doing 250% if I didnt need to prestige characters.
Every killer has a viagra-fueled hardon, and I suspect it's because you WILLING subject yourself to the queue times. I've met one decent killer who saw a Jill intentional grief me by showing him I was in a locker at our gen, so he just slugged me and let me recover, TWICE! I got lucky enough to hatch that match thanks to him.
Yes, you may see gens go quickly in some of your games, but my sample size is probably much bigger than yours due to my amount of free time, and that is not the norm. If both killers are average, its probably a killer win. Even one mediocre killer generally doesn't tank the team. The only decisive wins I've seen have been two bad killers who probably aren't coordinating, didn't pay attention to the info they got (2 survivors on a gen and you get an aura, how can you miss that?) or use killers theyre not good with (nurse and blight, looking at you guys), and even then they still get +25k points. Also, any action or specialization that reveals survivors is so strong. The number of times I've been absolutely screwed by the revealed status when trying to hide while cornered is astronomical.
And I write all this knowing full well I'm only an average survivor, maybe a little above average. I cannot chase long because I have not and will never be able to learn all these maps, so when even I can juke and loop a killer multiple times, then I know that killer has a skill issue, no offense. But even in this game mode, those killers still have a heavy advantage.
