sure whatever. when other players state exact same talking points, you seem to continuously discard and ignore them. @trapners, @UndeddJester and GroßusSchmiedus all similar or exact opinions. your only one that continuously has different opinions.
In what way different?

i disagree. I think sadako is most simple that she has ever been. it is spam tv and nothing else. there no decision making at all. tracking condemn is present in all 3 iterations and is barely skill. It is like saying walking left forward, right and backwards as killer is a skill. it is so basic that i don't count that. there isn't anything to manage on TV cooldowns. it is press TP → gain reward or no reward. it is why maps like midwich end up being one-sided for sadako because instead of condemn affecting 1/20th of the map, it affects 1/4 of the map with its radius. so the no reward or gain reward is like 20x more likely to occur.
The survivor gameplay is also very dumb down for tapes but poor survivor players aren't able to do basic actions so she still kills people that are bad.
I truly hope that they do something on this killer at one point but it is like Myer's and Freddy. BVHR takes AGES to rework these killers. Sadako is 100% in the turn your brain off section of the game.
Hard disagree. I don't think us discussing Sadako leads anywhere at this point. You will not convince me due to my thousands of hours of experience I have on her and I will not convince you anytime soon either.
Agree to disagree.

She a standard m1 killer who can't do much if the survivors pre drop immediately. She was C tier in my opinion before the last change to buff her dash. She lost the ability to see jigsaw boxes which allow her to get out of positions hits. I like the direction they are heading with her but it was ultimately a net loss.
But she has pretty good stealth now with JMF. The addon fixes most issues she had in regard to stealth while also performing pretty decent in chase. I think shes a comfy c - tier next to Sadako. Thats just me though and you can have your opinion of course.

it is issue with sadako's current design. It is funny how people told me in Sadako PTB that this version of Sadako would be skillful and less spammy. Oh, Pikachu, they figure out that the best way to play Sadako is to spam televisions TP because 0 downside or opportunity cost to doing so.
after that, the dev hilarious put cooldown on TV TP condemn spam and than remove it and only later does everyone FINALLY realize what i was talking about. Please make Sadako more skillful and auto-pilot.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3829635#Comment_3829635
if 4 survivor wait on 4 seperate tv's and she tp to one of the TV's, you get anywhere between 4/7 or 5/7 shutdown tv's at the start of the game. i agree that sadako is all about survivoring sucking at the game now. the strategy only works vs bad players.
Sadako is a lot more skillfull right now than 2.0
I think memorizing stacks, survivor locations tape locations and tv cooldowns to effectively bounce around the map, building up condemned is difficult to master and perform consistenly.
Its strategic skill expression that only few killers offer in dbd.

Rather than base-kit, I think it should just become a general perk that every Survivor has access to and Laurie would just get a new perk. It should be buffed back to a 5 second stun and reveal the users Aura to their teammates for 10 seconds so they can try and coordinate help. I dont think it should ever be base-kit because too many people would try and weaponize it.
Anyways, perks I want base-kit:For Survivor:
- Self-Care. It hurts terribly when I see my teammates rush off into the wilderness in order to heal while I’m bleeding out on the ground or about to hit second stage on the hook. With it being base-kit more people could bring in Botany and help everyone get back in action faster. (I understand balancing will need to change so Killers can have a new slowdown that takes the place of current Self Cares slowdown, but that’s up to the Developers to figure out)
- Tenacity. While I’m all for Killers being able to play as they want within the games rules and not be disparaged for their choices, being a slug is not fun. So I propose an increase to crawl speed after being on the ground for 30 seconds. If all remaining Survivors are slugged, they get the option to bleed out faster after 60 seconds.
- Not a perk but I’m pretty sure that the Mobile Game has a toggle button that displays a rear view mirror for Survivors so they can see behind them while in chase. I want this in the main game. Even after 6k hours I can’t look behind myself and loop 😭😭😭. I dunno what’s wrong with my motor and hand-eye coordination 😭😭😭
For Killers:
- Whispers. It would help not waste too much time looking in empty areas. They shouldn’t have to bring in a perk just to know Survivors are near. I’d also take Spies from the Shadows as an alternative.
- Undying. Killers get one free transfer for a hex as base-kit to help when they spawn directly across a generator or on a hill like a light house.
- Shattered Hope. It should have always been base-kit.
Thats why I proposed limitations. Im very aware of how the playerbase thinks. Forcing ds and bodyblocking are the majoor issues I would see, therefore the anti bodyblock- and weaker throughout the match- mechanic. If a killer wants to create some pressure when they lost 3 or 4 gens, then tunneling is absolutely fine in my book. When a nurse starts to tunnel at 5 gens, i think she should get punished heavily. She does not need to do that.
Your solution tackles the problem, however, we would be in the exact same situation that we had with bt. A perk that everybody has to bring to have a game healt - effect. Thats not good in my opinion. Its why bt got changed.
- Self-Care. It hurts terribly when I see my teammates rush off into the wilderness in order to heal while I’m bleeding out on the ground or about to hit second stage on the hook. With it being base-kit more people could bring in Botany and help everyone get back in action faster. (I understand balancing will need to change so Killers can have a new slowdown that takes the place of current Self Cares slowdown, but that’s up to the Developers to figure out)
-
Decisive strike.
Before I get crucified, hear me out. Having a perk that offers game health locked behind a paywall is absurd. However, I do understand, that tunneling is sometimes a necessary evil for killers to create some pressure. Therefore I would not add ds just in it's current state, but with limitations.
Something along the lines of this:
- It becomes weaker the further the match progresses until it completely deactivates in end game.
- The survivor with it active cannot bodyblock off hook for another survivor. I don't know how this could be implemented effectively, but it would need to happen to disincetivice the offencive usage of it.
- The duration of the stun is increased when using ds as a perk, just like bt.
- Some form of slowdown mechanic for the killer that rewards spreading hooks between all 4 survivors, that is actually worth going for. (would have to be adjusted in strength depending on each killers power level independently for obvious reasons)
This could maybe help to tackle the most egregious cases of tunneling and shift the game towards a more enjoyable experience overall.
Obvisouly this would have to be tested at great length and my proposal is by no means a perfect solution.
I'll gladly hear ideas and opinions! ^🐽^

Unfortunately she's an m1 killer with an unreliable stealth, no chase power and a counterable TP/slowdown. As such the only thing Sadako can realistically do is play hit and run, only taking short chases and try to keep her TVs turning back on on her terms, not the survivors.
Take any hit or pallet you can from Survivors and teleport away, and try to prevent gens popping as long as you possibly can until survivors run out of resources and you can start to snowball with condemn and global map pressure.
Good survivors won't let you get your snowball without a hard fight, and the longer you take to force a pallet or a hit out of them, the worse you'll do, but if you build for her right and really play to her strength Sadako can be decent… for an m1 killer at least.
That's basicly it. She's an alright killer if played at her best.
She can also become downright busted on one specific map, but that's an issue of that map, not sadako.
The best one could play Sadako, at least from what I've learned from the best is memorizing stacks and locations of all survivors as well as TV cooldowns and placements. Then all of that info has to be put in use effectively to keep condemn pressure up and go for a mori.
I don't need to explain, why a sudden kill is extremely strong and can shift the course of a match really fast I think, do I?
-
I find it awful, how people don't even care about the character anymore. Just about winning and losing.
I remember starting and being like: "Omg! I can play as demo in this game?!?"
Should bhvr just make a different competetive game at this point, where you have one character that can equip different powers? Would people even care?!?
It's so sad to hear these kind of debates sometimes.
-
I'm more for a complete reworked of her power, but it sounds like a reasonable nerf to me. Aura on nurse makes her incredibly easy to play and takes away any kind of "counterplay" a survivor has.

i think invisibility is too short to be of any use. i'd say for size, go for chucky or dracula wolf form. i think short height works vs inexperienced survivors but doesn't work vs experienced loopers. at least i have seen chucky and wolf form dracula try to confuse me with their height but i didn't look too effective from my personal experience going vs it as survivor.
Chucky and wolf are not pure m1 killers. Im talking about pure m1. That being 4.6 no power.

you talk about her invisibility as being sufficient for checkspot and short height…. for pig when pig is so slow in crouch that it is easier to loop then 4.4 m/s hag.
No. Pig is a small and silent killer when playing m1. I did not mention her crouching at all. These are small little tricks you can learn with m1 killers. some are better than others. Freddy and Pig being probably the best m1´s out these.
I did not say, that invisibility is suffiecient for check spots. What I said is, that shhe has "something" to help her in certain situations, where other killers dont have it. Is invisibility enough to outplay something like shack? No. Absolutely not, if the survivor is decent. Thats why I play poking - simulator - sadako. I chase when i know I can get a hit.

Sadako however doesn't struggle as hard at tiles like these because she can play around check spots to a certain degree. 90% of the time I spend with her during a trial,
Other killers like Pig and Freddy are relatively small and quiet, giving them an advantage on certain tiles.
i did not mention condemned or the ambush. This was solely about the m1 gameplay.

This wouldn't even necessarily be true because it'd be incredibly simple to change how the hitbox for Reassurance is shaped to just be box shaped instead of sphere shaped and just make it have a set width and height. (Meaning you'd still have to run just as close to the hook to trigger Reassurance on those maps, only difference would be it actually reaches basement now)
You know how hard it can be to implement simple solutions these days?

it is if the survivor is good.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3827409#Comment_3827409
i think the problem with checkspot's is that m1 killer have no lunge reach. your just out of range that survivor can on reaction run a little bit and hit the vault before your able to press m1 to hit them. shack is perfect example where window has checkspot with red glow that the survivor can react on. the worst part is that even if you hide red glow, the survivor can leave loops or go around long way to ignore any potencial to get hit. Jungle gym are much of the same. for shack, it is god pallet where the survivor has near infinity reaction time and then jungle gym has checkspot on pallet in which they can slide on reaction.
without considering windows in the game, lots of pallets are long enough that there is specific checkspot that survivor can camp the pallet and slide on reaction to your lunge m1. it is big pitfall of every m1 killer.
I disagree that Sadako's invisibility is adequate to combat/prevent reaction vaulting and window vault. I can get behind condemn being significant worse to the point of ineffective a competent team but at same time, you would think that BVHR would at the very least make her invisibility into competent chase tool that barebones enables 50/50's.
With pig ambush dash, her ambush is at cusk of almost enabling 50/50's. i think 3 things that prevent pig from enabling 50/50's on the ultra safe tiles is:
- too slow crouch movement speed. the whole uncrouch and re-crouch is somewhat tedious in chase. it would be better if pig was 4.4 m/s in crouch so there isn't an added 1 second extra charge time to ambush dashing
- speaking of charge time, workshop grease should be base-kit for pig. the add-on should be reworked to grant 30% unrelenting and 30% stbfl stacks.
- increasing pig's movement in dash by around 25% total.
those would be my dream changes for pig. Pig could for real be a m2 only killer with few significant buffs. right now i think you need to work a lot harder as pig to be m2 only killer than what should be expected for killer. the ability has use but i feel like the ability should always be useful rather than selectively useful.
How did we get to pigs ambush and sadako's condemned?

But again, as a standalone power, its already much worse than spirit. Spirits power its much, much easier to get a hit with (totally invisible, only an audio cue that is not always useful for the survivor due to how it works, you can instantly hit people outside of it).
Honestly just because he can TP (mostly useless in chase unless you have some addons equipped) and ignore pallets/windows doesnt make "equal" to Spirit. Spirit is much better to get hits.
It's not about getting hits with it. It's about the whole picture. We are not looking at the bat in a vacuum here.

Totally agree with you on that. Thats why i dont understand the "Bat form its just a better Spirit" that a lot of people are saying. Spirit can hit much, much, much easier than Dracula out of Bat form.
The problem is, that the bat is very similar and even has some advantages (ignores pallets and windows / TP) when compared to spirit.
Dracula however has two more powers AND is 4.6. This might sound controversial, but a killer with that many powers should not be better or equally strong with one power as another killer, as this makes other killers feel obsolete (power creep)
Draculas bat is probably the best catch up tool in the game right now (ignores pallets and windows / has no range or time limit). If this is viewed in a vacuum, then it's absolutely fine. However, he has still two other powers on top of it. It's the same issue with Vecna. Multiple powers have to be relative weak to balance the overall power level of the character. Due to Draculas bat form being that strong of a catch up tool and because it negates any downtime a survivor can gain during chase I'm for a slight nerf to the transition speed for the bat form alone.
That's why I prefer killers with one power. It's simpler to balance.
-
As an m1 main myself, there are certain tiles, that I consider unfair for m1 killers.
These tiles often include one specific feature. A check spot.
If the tile is long enough, the survivor will always be able to make it to the pallet or window if their rection time is good enough. The most egregious example being long tiles on coldwind and McMillan and obviously the shack itself.
Sadako however doesn't struggle as hard at tiles like these because she can play around check spots to a certain degree. 90% of the time I spend with her during a trial, I am demanifested. I only manifest if I'm certain to get a hit. This helps a lot at longer and more complex tiles like jungle gyms.
A killer like Ghosty does not have this kind of courtesy.
Other killers like Pig and Freddy are relatively small and quiet, giving them an advantage on certain tiles. This however does not help at all at tiles like shack, where the idea with these killers is generally: force and break the pallet.
It sucks, but that's how it is and has always been.
-
Just fix the damn sounds already...

He could already do that before the Bat and Shapeshift buffs. And yet Bat form was deemed as "underpowered".
He already gets slowed down when transforming and has a delay on it where he cannot attack.
Thank God, he can't immediately attack out of it. Spirit players would reconsider their entire existence if that was the case.

Do you mean a delay going into bat form, a delay coming out of bat form or both?
Thats a good question. It would have to be tested, which delay would be more effective or if both should be implemented. Depends on how long the delay is.
-
Another "buff" to good'ol piggy. sigh…
-
The speed of transition in and out of bat form negates any reward a survivor can gain while in chase due to it being one of the, if not THE strongest catch up tool in the game.
With a delay to the transition speed of the bat (not the other forms) , he would be perfectly fine.
-
Windows is not only a training wheels - perk. It also helps survivors in soloq to not run into dead zones, created by other survivors.
Sure, there are people that use it to just "run to yellow", but there are also a ton of people that genuinely use it to balance out an information-gap between soloq and swf.

I just get horrible RNG. He always spams those attacks like the meteors that afterwards changes his attention to me and does his follow up clone attacks. There is another one where he does an attack with his swords and sends out massive beams of light that seems to be undodgeble. Also overwhelming is the understatement of the century. I have resorted to using NPC summons which I do use in ds3 just because they feel more connected the story buy not usually in ER. Thanks for the stats I am currently using dual +10 bloodhound fangs and now have no ancient smithing stones left I think 🐽😔.
I would not recommend using any of the npc´s. Both do awful damage and increase the boss´s healthbar by a lot. Not to mention that they die very fast. They make your job worse.
The first attack is the meteor attack phase two. I learned that one on my 4th playthrough because i couldnt understand what i was doing wrong.
The idea is the same as with the first phase. When he charges it, run towards the opposite of where the boss flies. Then run back as far as you can until the meteors come flying. When they come flying, run to left or right and do a final jump to avoid all of them.
In phase two, its almost the same. The trick is, that the illusions, the boss sends out have a range limit. If you immediately start running backwards whern the boss charges the meteors, jump the last ones and then contuniue running, you should be able to outrun the illusions range. Careful thouogh, the boss themselves dont have a range limit. They will come down after the 4th illusion. If you do this this way, you only have to jump the meteors (which also have a range limit, so if you run far enough, the will dissapear mid air) and dodge the final tp attack of the boss themselves. Its tricky, but if you do it correctly, you will get a highe punish window.
With the beam of light, do you mean the one where the boss starts levetating in the air before a massive light - nuke erupts the arena? If yes, there are two things you can do to easily avoid it.
- The boss normally starts phase 2 with it. However, this is not scripted and can change dependeing on your position. My advice is to just stand still when phase 2 starts. The boss will usually start with the move if done so.
- When the move starts (the light pillars start to appear beneath your feet) just run in a straight line. You will outrun it.
If you mean the massive map wide pillars of light at the end of the 5 hit combo, then my advice is to learn the move in first phase, where the attack ends in a ground slam with rocks erupting. If you dodge consistently to the left. the attack is basicly the same.
I hope this helps.

I don't mind them making it third person, as long as they gave it a proper pass, added some flavour of Amanda's character (even something as small as adding a head tilt before the slash) and made it actually look good, like her grabbing the survivors hair to lead to the throat slash after she stabs their hand, maybe the Survivor flounders around as they die from the slit throat.

Oh no way I loved ds3 so much except for a few bosses. Also strats for SOTE final boss would be appreciated.
My best advice is antspur rapier with a bleed infusion to make the fight last significantly less time. The boss is pretty weak against scarlet rot.
Otherwise, a shield with 100% damage negation is the safest (but most boring) way to beat the boss. Poke until death. Almost every attack is blockable.
Strafing to the left is recommended to evade almost every attack. It makes the fight significantly more bearable.
Do you have problems with specific attacks? I know that phase 2 can be a bit "overwhelming".

Sorry I should make a correction on what I mean on OP - thank you.
Why do you find the animations this offencive? The killer doesnt mean it in an offencive way most of the time and it is faster than picking up, carrying and hooking as well most of the time as well.
I personally dont see any issue with the animations. So please help me understand your perspective.
