Skill based matchmaking royaly screws us all. If it worked the games would be sweet but not unfair. Clearly it doesn't work very often though. I get baby teams frequently and that shouldn't happen. I should not have 8 hooks at 5 gens. It's not that I'm great it was that they don't know what they are doing. It sucks but bhvr will never admit they made a mistake by putting it in so we must tolerate it.
-
While I disagree with your opinion on trickster I agree on the speed problem. I'm a killer main and I use rapid brutality and stbfl on pretty much everyone right now. Imo I think they should remove all speed buffs from both sides apart from exhaustion perks and pwyf because the requirements are difficult and not worth the effort except for memes and very niche builds. Free speed buffs should not exist for either side. I also think hope and other such speed perks should be removed or reworked as well.
-
No more free perks. This is getting ridiculous. You want base kit deliverance while we're at it?
-
Alot of times it's a ping problem. Pc killer, PlayStation survivor. A lot of go betweens there. That's not something bhvr can do anything about. It's just part of he multiplayer experience.

To me MfT is no longer op perk. But it's still good perk.
It will be healthy perk against tunneller killers which is fine. But i see biggest problem here:
What is stopping me to use Off the Record + MfT + Lithe and bodyblock the killer after unhooked. I can force killer to hit me and i can put killer into very annoying chase.
Now i belive MfT is healthy perk when used as intended. But i know community. This perk is new tool to bully killer for SWF teams. So i don't think hate against this perk will be done.
That's not a unhealthy use of the perk or bullying. That's using your perks to try and protect you teammates. Your purposely putting yourself into depression wounds and not doing a generator. And nothing is making the killer chase you after the hit. He can hit you and continue with the previous chase. It's just a protection hit.
-
Lethal pursuer, play with your food, corrupt intervention, and deadlock. Run those with the infinite tombstone addon's and I do it on rotten fields but that was luck really. Survivors messed up bad. But try to take yourself to whatever map you find you can mind game the best.
-
Please don't recommend these things. Even as a joke. Devs could easily take it seriously and start nerfing. You really trust them to make good decisions?
-
He doesn't need a rework. He has a low pick rate because people don't want to take the time to learn him. He needs some minor tweaks but who doesn't? Leave hux alone.
-
Hey, anything is a improvement. His addon's are abysmal.
-
I'm a killer main and I do not condone this idea. The problem with gens has nothing to do with the base game. The only problem with gen speeds is the perks on both sides that speed up or slow down gens. Gens are boring. I prefer chase on both sides. I would look for a complete gutting of both sides perks at the same time and more chase oriented perks instead.
-
I agree. I have some friends that play in that area and there ping is horrible. It's a bad experience for the player and the other people as well. Trying to hit a lagging survivor or pallet stun a lagging killer is frustrating to say the least.
-
I just want to sneak up behind a survivor as Ghost face and whisper evils from behind a rock.
-
From a fun perspective it's a good design. From a gameplay balance it's atrocious. But it's a event. I think we should prioritize fun over wins. When it's over I'll go back to being a sweaty tryhard. Untill then 130% with play with your food and game afoot. How fast can my waterlogged show hag waddle about

Occupy as many survivors at once as you can.
When you get a hook, try to be in a chase immediately afterwards. No matter how decent the survivors are, they have to eat a massive penalty to their overall gen efficiency when one's on a hook, one's in a chase, and one's peeling off for a save. You can apply this in other ways too; slugging when you suspect you can pressure someone else immediately, trying to ambush heals-in-progress if they're happening, using a currently hooked survivor as bait to draw someone out of position for an easier chase, and so on.
The last thing you want to do, if the survivors are all decent, is spend too much time on just one survivor. Whether that's committing to a chase too long, facecamping, or trying to tunnel them out if you don't immediately succeed. This just gives the other three survivors uninterrupted generator time for minimal return.
Craft a build that helps here, tailored to whatever you're struggling with. If it's the chase portion, bring chase perks. If it's finding survivors, info perks. Steer away from stacking tons of slowdown in your build, there's diminishing returns there. Two is the max I'd say, unless your whole build synergises with itself in some way- and making sure there's intent and synergy with your build overall is always a bonus regardless.
Exactly. A build trailered to whatever your killer and intentions are. On pyramid I run infections and monitor for info to chase immediately after down to keep up constant pressure. On wraith it's sloppy and nurses for anti heal. Every killer requires a different perk build for effective pressure.
-
But when else am I gonna learn to bird? I believe I can fly!!!!!!.........
-
Mostly I just dream about tbagging survivors. Nightmares more like.

What's the point with trying as Pig? They will boop my snoot and I have to let them leave anyway...
I know. I play pig for fun. Not for wins. She's just me chill out match.

No longer than 10 minutes. Exp gain caps at 10 minutes so every game lasting longer than that is a waste of time.
That's only if your playing for exp only.
There are other reasons to play though. Chases tome challenges and just having fun
-
A tricky question that veries from killer to killer. As a pyramid head I apply my pressure to the group by rapid downs because I have a strong chase power. If survivors are getting downed to quickly for heals and unhooks that is pressure. As wraith keeping everyone injured and constantly poking them from different angles so they don't know which way you're coming from. As pig.....I don't know I love her but prayer is probably your best option.

What anti-loop? He does suffer from general killers issues. He doesn't have an anti - loop.
The tail attack? It's a extension attack that can hit over pallets windows and low walls and barriers. That Is the literal definition of a anti loop power. A power that counters looping.

Sorry Crowman, who are you?
I imagine he's part of the dbd community. You know, the group you are talking to?
-
First off your wrong about alot of things but from the way your talking I think you need a break. Don't let the game get to you this bad. If you don't enjoy it, take a break for a bit. Playing something you clearly are just mad at isn't good for you.
-
Anti FACE camping. Crucial word that. I understand that certain survivors can't tell the difference between the two but I recommend a dictionary.
-
Maybe they are to busy nerfing pig for that. Lol no I think they will someday but it takes them a long time for any changes and new content. They will probably eventually though.
-
Absolutely not. Bhvr has nerfed every other regression perk into the ground but somehow overlooked this one. It might not be that great but it is the most consistent of all we got. Buff it any and they'll wind up nerfing it below what it is currently. It's just what they do.
-
What windows are you vaulting that takeso long. Please expand on the problem here.
-
Oni's power in my opinion is the strongest in the game. That is why it is so hard to get. Pre drop pallets and keep yourself healed and it seriously reduces how much of the game he can deploy. Sure if you just sit on a gen injured he's gonna have unlimited power. He doesn't need a nerf. People just need to stop greeting pallets so much. And I know you love you mft and resilience but against him they aren't worth staying injured.
-
@Alen_Starkly said:
This is exactly what I suggested a few weeks ago. Sadly, BHVR won't do it, because they encourage camping and tunneling. They don't seem them as a problem, they see them as "valid strategies".
Yeah that's why they added base kit borrowed time and self unhook. Look at the state of the game before stating completely inaccurate info.
-
@Ariel_Starshine said:
That's how re resistance is and to this day it's by far my favorite asymmetrical survival horror game.
And that game has how many players still? Probably shouldn't incorporate parts of a failed game.
But that aside just please no. Survivors dont need more ways to annoy killers. Effectiveness aside can we not feed griefer teams more ways to just piss of people?
-
Fine. You want basekit endurance for that? Maybe some more basekit stuff for killers as well. You get anti camp anti tunnel and now you want anti slug? Give killers anti gen rush base such as deadlock to stop gen pops. No I don't think a killer should have that it's it's just as ridiculous as all the other base kit crap they have been handing survivors so why not?
-
I actually agree with almost all of this. Just two tweaks I would make. I used to be a pig main and I wouldn't decrease her base terror radias but I would buff her base crouch speed and her enter and exit from crouch.
And pyramid head I would reverse the change in the ptb. I'm a current pyramid main and this change is going to overpower his tunnel game and cannot come to main lobby's. I would also increase the range a cage moves to 16 meters.
-
That's one of the only times I slug for the 4k. If they want to hide and hope I kill there teammate so they can hatch out I'm not going to help. Alot of times at the end of I find one person trying to do gens and the other one hiding I'll let the one work while I hunt the hider down and kill them. Then I let the one who actually tried hatch out.
-
Also great for gen location on the game map. Every breakable wall is next to a powered door and has a gen.

There already is,they're called endgame perks
Rancor is one of them, which is severely underrated for some reason, even tho it can be incredibly powerful against genrushers with game afoot
You think the response to being gen rushed is bring a set of perks that only work if you lost the majority of the game? The killer can't predict what a survivor is going to do before a game starts. Say I bring a chase build and end all my chases quickly but all the gens are done in five minutes?
-
Ok. This is really stupid. This is pretty much I don't want to share because I'm mad how someone else played. They are not responsible for you fun just like you are not responsible for the killers fun. So they don't need to change the game just cause your cranky. The other side getting more BP has absolutely 0 effect on your life whatsoever and if it bothers you than you care way to much about the game.
-
Really? I finally found the thread people go to just to complain. This is not a problem. Find something real to complain about.

Maybe? I didn't think it was pc exclusive though. It's the daily rewards we get for the pre anniversary event. There isn't anything else going on except the 2x bp and the daily logins rewards.
Ah event BP bonus. Yeah I haven't seen that either yet. Didn't know that was a thing.

yes pips are a huge problem for survivor but i figured that needs a entire thread of its own and i've seen it many times here as well. they just don't seem to care about the pips for surv.

That makes sense. You didn't mention that in your original post.
A lot of people have asked for this option when someone disconnects. Amusingly, it probably would've been easier to implement than bots.
The one thing I'd say against that option is I've had a lot of survivors disconnect near the end of the match (probably an actual crash or disconnection problem) when we're winning and I'm about to complete some Tome Challenge, and if the killer then forfeited the match I'd be pretty pissed. It's an unnatural end to the match which could cause problems. If a player would prefer to continue playing after a dc, the bots make the dc less disruptive; if players prefer to give up after a dc, the bots make no difference whatsoever.
yeah i post on here when i'm at work on break so i didn't put every idea i had into the first post. i should have proof read it again before posting but you know, boss likes us to work.
and i would suggest a disable of the forfeit if so many generators are finished to avoid those kinds of situations. i'm mostly thinking of those times when a survivor on first down of the game dc's. i don't want to be there any more. i highly doubt any of the survivors want to be in the game anymore. late game dc's are a whole other kettle of fish

You end your original post with "it's just not something that I care for" as if this is going to negatively impact you, but unless I'm mistaken, you're saying this update isn't going to change the way you play at all. If this isn't going to effect you, then why is it worth being negative about?
Because personally I would like a different response to dcs. I would like an answer that actually affects me. I understand that they aren't going to change what happens just so I'm happy but I would like a feature called move on available to killer if someone dcs. I just want to be able to quit and start another match. Give the survivors a nice BP bonus too. I don't care about points or pips at that point. I just want to start the next match
-
I can't speak for a lot of killers but as a pyramid main. I can't argue with midwitch being one of the best for him. It's a wonderful map to play on. And yes th decimated borgo is horrible as pretty much anybody but personally I'd rather be there than badham. Badham is terrible for every killer and while executioner can handle some loops better than other killers it is still absolutely terrible.
-
@Technature said:
You still have three other players to interact with. What's the problem?
Once one person is gone there one thing running around the lobby doing god knows what. I don't want a chase with something that I don't care about. I'm not gonna chase the bot but if I don't it's gonna pump gens out. It's gonna put my games into a state that I'm just not interested in anymore. I'm not saying don't bring bots in. I'm just voicing my opinion on it.

I had no idea this game was balanced enough and was so big on the Esports scene that people worry about their pride.

It's not pride lol. It's just I play this for real human interaction. I don't want to play against bots. I have single player games for that.

How do you currently handle matches where a survivor disconnects?
Unless it's endgame or someone quits on death hook I stop playing and watch YouTube until they leave. As survivor I go cleanse totems and try to make points until our inevitable death.
-
Well yeah. Mmr was the worst idea bhvr ever implemented but they dug too deep on it. They won't admit hey were wrong even though they would have to be blind not to see they were. So until they grow up enough to admit to a mistake it's here to stay.

It's not completely, it only lasts 30 seconds. And it should be in game, if you hate it just bring Lightborne. Even more aura reading for you.
The only counters to aura reading atm are Distortion and Boon: Shadow Step, while killers have a bunch of aura denying perks like Fearmonger,Knockout, Hex: The Third Seal, Septic Touch and a bunch of add-ons to cause blindness.
Residual is the only perk that denies the killer auras, it should be useful.
Distortion the appropriate response to aura reads. A personal response that removes your aura from the killer. You get tokens back by being near the killer. A good perk. Rm is a ridiculous middle finger to the killer that removes all auras including gens and hooks. Again it is utterly ridiculous that a survivor has that kind of power.
-
No it really doesn't. Survivors shouldn't have the ability to remove a killers aura reads completely. That perk is a stupid design and I encourage killers everywhere to tunnel and camp anyone they see using it.

Umm what 50k points? I have never received a daily login bonus and I've been playing for years. Is this a PC exclusive thing?
-
Survivor has had a problem for a long time where you get rewarded very little for doing alot. You run the killer for 5 gens and than die on first hook? All you did was run all game and nothing else so the only points you get are chase.
