Next free perk - Kindred if playing with a SWF?

Been thinking long and hard about what new free perk survivors could have and with SWFs who usually will have some form of communication making it unfair on the solo survivors.

DBD have said they are going to buff solo survivors to SWF level, the next new free perk should be Kindred... but only to the solo survivors who play with a SWF.

I would have posted this in the suggestions but wanted to ask what people thought about this and if not what the next free perk for survivors should be?

  • So if it's an all solo lobby, no-one gets Kindred; if there's a solo/s with a SWF in the lobby, the solo/s get Kindred? To be fair, I've heard worse. From what I've seen, most people wouldn't be against a no-Killer-aura version of Kindred just being basekit at this point anyway.

Just been in a game and had to leave my gen two times to run to unhook someone, only to find someone unhooking just before me.

After game they told me just do gens and not to bother unhooking, I asked why didn't they just tell whoever in their 3 man swf to turn around and they said for the points!!! :)

Finished bottom of points table that game

Yeah a version of Kindred without the killer aura reading part would be a decent addition to survs basekit. Kindred itself could extend the aura range maybe, or some other effect.

  • Kindered without killer's aura should be built-in for everyone. Because i'm sure that devs can't code the game to tell a difference between solo and swf.

  • No more free perks. This is getting ridiculous. You want base kit deliverance while we're at it?

  • As an option, the privilege of not having any alerts from the survivor's actions would be ideal, auras, including also the sounds of falling from a height, the sounds of a generator exploding, alerts of heartbeats and screams, alerts of falling into traps (or maximum luck when trying to free yourself).

Provided that this player is considered a loner, this is a good reward for a solo survivor that can attract more players to the game in solo status.

With direct contact with at least an average killer, this provides practically no privileges for a single player, while at the same time it provides the mirror opposite to the “group capabilities” of assistance directly to the survivor without directly strengthening him.

Let me explain, the survivors in the group have the ability to know where the maniac is (actually as a skill on the aura), where the traps are (now there is no such skill), the possibility of mutual assistance (cannot be countered at all). If you transfer these skills and abilities to a solo player, then at least hiding all visual alerts about a survivor created by the survivor can provide a good incentive to play solo.

But a bonus to luck is also recommended since it is unlikely that someone from the group will save you, that is, there should be a great chance of freeing yourself.

Kindred and deliverance are wildly different perks... interesting comparison lol... But basekit kindred would just help soloq see if each other if someone's on hook so they know if someone is already going for a save. Basekit Deliverance would change the whole dynamic of the game as no one would need to save people off hook on their first hook... like very different, info for teammates, survivors being handed the win... not very comparable. Acting as if there has been many perks turned basekit for survivors (which has only been borrowed time) but go off.

  • They can't go adding situational buffs based on lobby make up. Simply put, the presence of premades isn't a guarantee that they will be communicating or better coordinated. It's a correlation, not a certainty.

As for basekit perks, it's a case by case basis but in general, more base-kit features leads to power creep and balance issues.

Aura's are strong, and aura's of your opponent doubly so. Kindred can usually be more effective than voice chat alone, which is why even SWFs can get use out of it and it's not entirely redundant.

I would like it if survivors could get a 'Survival Instinct' that shows other survivorlocations. Similar to killer instinct, in that it gives a general direction of other survivors, so less precise than aura's, but can't be blocked by blindness. I think a couple seconds of Survival Instinct after a hook could be a fair addition.
