The survivor experience isn't great and it's been relatively the same since the beginning. The tunneling, slugging and camping is obviously a big factor but also just the gameplay. I think everyone agrees that the chases are the most interesting part of the game, but a lot of the match is just survivors on a gen holding down one button or on a hook waiting… not very engaging in the long run and especially when those things are prolonged because of things like tunneling, slugging and camping or with perks destroying generator progress (Which is of course are often necessary perks but obviously that means survivors need to spend even longer just doing a gen.
But idk what could realistically rectify this, it's just inherent with how the gameplay has been set up. I enjoyed the aspect of texas chainsaw massacre that you could attempt to escape using different types of exits, but that probably only works in a 3v4 and not a 1v4 as that seems like a lot for one person to manage. Survivors just need something, anything, that is engaging. Perhaps the game should be more centered around survivor and killer interaction rather than do gen and get out.
Also perks contribute a lot to enjoyment of the game. They're meant to allow you to have more fun options in gameplay but survivors are stuck with perks that help with tunneling, or slugging, or camping if they realistically want to escape their matches as much as possible/not have a miserable time. Same with killer having to run gen perks to keep up with survivors doing gens too fast. We're all just running perks so that we can win rather than whats fun or interesting or that we enjoy because of how the game has been set up. These perks are just bandaids for the problems in the game that haven't been fixed.

I thought this system was supposed to be an upgrade… I quite literally cannot log in everyday and play, a lot of people can't. I have uni and will not be able to keep up with this system if they keep it this way… sad. Guess it just means I'll skip out on buying the rifts from now on as I won't be able to complete them anyways.

Yeah the hair on Ada and her face texture could do with some love, while we are at it, fix the RE4 OG hair too, it looks nothing like it
Ooo yes please.

I'm not a fan of trapping killers, so trapper and hag. Just kinda annoying and you can't counter their traps mid-chase so it kinda just ends up being a die by getting hit or die by setting off the trap situation, but I especially loathe hag.

I agree. Order of ecclesia is my favorite Castlevania game and this is a big disappointment
Yeah! So much potential to be my favourite cosmetic, it's just the blank canvas of a face that is a bit of a let down.

Maybe because it's a weak perk with a low pick rate and 99999 ways to counter it?
Give me the 99999 ways to counter not being able to see slugged solo q teammates auras.

The entire dbd perk logic basis on counter specific playstile. Ds and Off the record for hard tunneling, Buckle up and etc for slugging, blood warden against end game altruism, forced penance for bodyblocking and etc.
Yes but this is a specific situation we're talking about, and specifically the problem with the perk, not so much the playstyle, if you read what I added in the last post, maybe you'll understand.
Plus killers really don't bring those perks often (as they don't have to really), just gen regression/slow down for fast gen speeds.

Cause survs have many counter force to it. Unbreakable, No mither, For the people, Buckle up, We gonna live forever and etc.
So you're saying I have to bring perks to counter tunnelling, slugging, camping and hexes and don't get to use anything I actually want to use… No… how about just reworking this one perk that destorys in solo q but is otherwise useless, and not have to bring in another perk to counter a killer's playstyle that we may otherwise not get value from.
It also doesn't counter the fact that the person slugged can't be seen until within a close distance, which is the whole issue because yk, teammates aren't efficient in soloq, which is what it is.
-
I feel like the cooldown between shapeshifting is too fast. It's too easy to catch up with the bat form if the survivor makes distance or to use it to go over windows and pallets and can fairly quickly get a hit. But my personal biggest gripe is with hellfire, I feel like he has much easier control with it in terms of aiming (unlike pyramid head) which can make it harder to dodge and the biggest pain being it isn't clear what obstacles hellfire can go through, like I heard the obstacle has to be around a little taller than the average survivor to not go though it, but some obstacles where I think I wont get hit (like out on the outside balcony on rpd pallet loop), and other obstacles I expect it to go though and I dodge, it doesn't go through… I just wish there was a clearer way to know if the hellfire is going to hit you through an object or not.
It's kinda insane cause he's kinda 3 killers combined, wesker/demogorgon, spirit/dredge, pyramid head/nemesis. But most dracula's just use hellfire and get constant hits.
-
I only like to bring stackable bloodpoint offerings when it's highly likely that people are gonna bring them too. And from my experience over here in Australia and playing generally late, people unfortunately aren't bringing stackable offerings during this event so I don't either. I've just bringing the regular survivor cake or pudding for killer.
-
They are hesitant to introduce it because of lobby dodging unfortunately. So who knows if they ever will. It is on mobile, so one can only hope they'll add it to the main game

Blood hunt is 100% bonus BP, not 200%. We are talking 200% ADDITIONAL here, so threefold BPs.
We don't know yet if the numbers are too large, the event is just a few days old. If it turns out the numbers cannot be reached, devs will adjust it (they have done so in the past).
Bloodzones do not have so much value, I agree with that.
Bonus BP offerings seem to be reserved for anniversary. With the last events it was the same, the offerings merely boosted the event BP gains. This can also be quite significant (it was that way with the last event). Sadly the offerings are currently disabled, so we do not know for sure.
You're right, 1.5 would be 50% and 2x would be 100%, my brain was thinking 2x is 200% for a moment, silly me.
-
Just realized I put this in general discussions, sorry mods!
-
How about no, it gives survivors an opportunity to escape and get more bloodpoints and/or rift challenges or achievements completed that require escaping. It's nice to have an opportunity to escape when a match goes horribly whether it's because the killer is really good, teammates suck or everyone just was doing poorly. Why take it away? It doesn't affect the killer to have 1 survivor go through hatch except MaYbE getting adept but you can just do the slug for the 4k method
-
Survivors are just skins, even if they couldn't change characters, there are 3 options for preset loadouts that they could change last minute to, it's just one of those things. And they should absolutely be able to pick items and change addons like killers can in the lobby, queues can be long and people may decide they want to change their build but now they have to requeue.
-
It's funny cause you rarely ever see Claudette or Dwight without glasses.
-
I think the scooby doo movie would be fun and still fit well in dbd

The only change Adrenaline needs is to remove the wake-up effect that solely harms Freddy, who needs lovinz badly.
It is a strong perk, but the surv has to get to endgame on three perks to even see it pop. That fact alone warrants its strength imo.
This!
-
As someone that likes playing deathslinger every now and then, reverting ADS to what it used to be would be too strong and become a problem again like it was. The reason it was an issue is because it was pretty much instant and gave survivors pretty much no time to react and it was soooooo easy to fake going for a shot and just end up m1ing and just easy to end up zoning the survivor. I wouldn't be apposed to slightly increasing the speed of ADS but it would have to be the SLIGHTEST amount... again SLIGHTEST. He needs a buff in other areas maybe, I don't know how they would do that but ADS shouldn't really be buffed.
-
If MFT was a problem, so is UW. Both take no effort to activate, and can be consistently used the whole match. MFT with constant free speed that you can't counter unless you're tombstone myers and they don't have no mither, UW with constant free info on a survivors position with no counterplay.
-
A rework would be nice to he's more interesting to play as and against cause right now he is meh in both departments
-
Yeah, survivor is in a state where your perks basically all have to be anti-tunnel. And killer is in a state of running all gen slowdowns.
Sucks we cant run anything interesting or fun anymore if we want a chance. Solo q survivor feels pretty unplayable rn.
-
I'm confused
-
It's gonna be Alan and deathslinger! Which is a solid rift, but I would personally be interested more in something for Huntress, Zarina, Elodie or Yui (As I believe they haven't been a main character of a rift)
-
The fact that knockout still exists is insane
-
Nah, dull merchant should be removed with the trade of 1 exhaution perk, being smash hit :) That's a fair trade
-
People are so hellbent on getting a 4k when it isn't necessary. When I first started playing killer I would slug for the 4k but now idc, it's boring and who cares??? I'd rather just have the 50% chance of getting hatch. I don't slug for the 4k unless I saw where the last survivor was, cause otherwise it's boring for everyone and a 3k is perfectly fine and you can get very similar points with a 4k an 3k, many killers be greedy
-
I do wish her face looked a little more like her RE2R face. DBD Ada isn't quite right, and I'd like them to redo her hair 😭
-
All current generation (Re7 and up) resident evils game I enjoy, and I don't think they're hard, you can choose from Easy, standard/normal and hardcore and unlock an even harder mode (if thats what you like). I always go for standard on a first playthrough, but you can ofc choose easy if you're having trouble or would rather focus on the story.
Some story centred games I like are:
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice <------ SO GOOD and underrated (Just know unfortunately they don't tell you the controls, so you have to either look them up or figure it out, but the story and gameplay are great)
A Plague tale: Innocence
The last of us
Control
Horizon Zero Dawn
God of War

There are some, but well, the girls‘ outfits make more cash and.. well.. you know how it works.
Dwight and David are among the guys on mobile getting some preferential treatment I think
but speaking of, i would take this Adam outfit (and the spirit is also okay)
This adam fit is so good. He needs more love in the core game tbh.

I love the sweater so much! Would be very nice to have 🤞

We did have a handful of mobile skins like frost trapper & hillbilly along with some others, however the only netease mobile cosmetic we currently have is the Feng one from this year's halloween.
As far as why i don't want anymore netease cosmetic, it's because they're the same type of cosmetics found in Netease's other asym game ''Identity V'', meaning they're the type of eye candy cosmetic that are all flashy & clean looking while being able to fit as many Survivors as possible in order to get as many people as possible to spend on their gacha mechanics, rather than being cosmetics made to fit a specific character while still adhering to the game's themes like adding blood stains, rips in the fabric, dirt spots and overall make cosmetics look worn out to even a slight degree like most cosmetics on core has in some way or form.
Now granted, there are some eye candy cosmetics on core, however it is far fewer compared to how many there are on mobile. Also the netease feng cosmetic did get dirtied up and all future netease cosmetics is probably also going to get that, however i'm still not a fan how they're still just cosmetics with their own themes made to fit all Survivors, rather than being made to fit a single Survivor's theme even after recieving a recolor by bhvr as well as being dirtied up.
In short: Netease cosmetics are just generic and (for a lack of a better word) soulless to me.
Ah okay. I didn't realise the frosty trapper/hillbilly were mobile cosmetics, I also didn't play around halloween so I forget about that feng cosmetic (since it's not in-store and I don't have it) haha. Netease cosmetics I feel like do end up being a little... gimmicky or generic looking, but there are some I do enjoy.

I feel like anonymous mode allows for even more people to feel like they can be toxic, kinda wish it wasn't anonymous after the match. But yeah, people just take the game very seriously sometimes and in the heat of the moment say something rude/toxic, then there are people who go out of their way to be toxic for their own selfish fun unfortunately. Also it's just due to the existence of being online and people not being know as their real life selves therefore can do whatever they want without consequences.
-
I wish there was maybe a gameplay element like anniversary or halloween. I also kinda wish we didn't have to wait so long until the next level is unlocked for the event tome as well. But otherwise I don't really have any complaints.
-
100k is barely anything, wish they weren't so stingy on bloodpoints... they are bloodpoints not auric cells or shards... they aren't that hard to come by.
-
Is there a reason you don't spend bloodpoints? They should be infinitely useful even if you've unlocked all perks, as you can continuously get more items, addons, and offerings, on any character, which can always be helpful in a match or make gameplay more fun.
-
-
Really? Why not? Also, as far as I know we don't currently have any mobile skins (skins that first debuted/are exclusive to mobile) come to the core game, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes! Such a cool skin, heard we'll get it (from the qna) if they can acquire the licence 😉 Hopefully we do end up getting it

These are so cute! I especially love Claudette's frog and also need it in my life 😍 And Zarina's (I think is a Koala?) is super cute too
-
He is fun at times and not fun other times. I really really wanna play him more/main him but he just doesn't perform well enough ESPECIALLY because of map dependency (in my experience he can do really well on some and really bad on others), this is something I've complained about of there not being enough lockers on some maps and having poor locker placement for dredge. He could certainly use some buffs and maps need some altering to make him viable.

My top prestiges so far are:
- Yui Kimura (p30)
- Huntress (p23)
- Claudette Morel (p12)
- Nurse (p12)
- Feng Min (p11)
The rest are at least p3 - p10 except for Ellen, Xeno and Nicholas cage as I'm yet to acquire them.

@Hermit said:
Yes, but where are these " experienced professional devs" that you are talking about? 😁
I've been playing this game since Nurse got released and the only three public devs that fit that description all left the company.
Haha, well I'm sure these devs have be trained, even if we don't necessarily see it from them all the time

It really wasn’t. I’ve been playing since 2018 and using a perk slot for it was a fair trade off.
Nah, having to use a perk slot was unfair and not everyone brang the perk, therefore punishing whoever was unhooked. Unfair just like having shadowborn take up a perk slot for FOV. It was needed.
-
I think it's stale that gens are done so quickly but it's also stale to be tunneled and/or camped constantly. Both sides forcing each other in to unfun gameplay, such is the cycle. I hope bhvr can do something about it and make the game a little more fun again
-
I can see how some need to be linked... but there are SO many that can at least have the head separated if not the whole thing. There are so many good hairs that I can only use with the one outfit :C

“Rework” is code for major nerfs. Best case scenario is they make a .02 % change to power/addons. Meanwhile survivors are given basekit BT and will be given protection against 3 genning. Does anyone see a double standard?
I mean basekit bt was absolutely a necessity, I look back at old clips and it's insane a killer could come to a hook and slap the hooked person instantly down. Gives that person 0 opportunity to make a play to survive
-
I'm pretty sure skull merchant deserved her rework. To play against was pain
