I feel like I've been seeing mostly praise for him, but there has been some complaints from survivors thinking he's too strong. I've only played against him a few matches and have been playing as him more. My initial thoughts is he seems balanced? But maybe that'll change idk, but people may just be a little put off with his bigger range of view than any other killer.
He is quite short so I can see it being difficult to try looping with him, maybe they could do something with that but yeah, otherwise I think he's good.
-
Hag is probably one of the most hated killers to verse. So boring, and you can't go anywhere as she just has traps in every spot, can't hold W, can't loop, can't use a pallet or window and she can place multiple traps in the same area like at a hook or gen. Just annoying to go against. She's also exceptional at holding a 3 gen, she basically just takes over one side of the map and all you can do is progress one side of the map and then die on the other.
You can't counter her power while in chase, as the counter is crouching which you obviously can't do if being chased and the other counter is removing the trap which again obviously can't be done in chase as you just don't have the time to remove it and not get hit or downed.
As for huntress, I hope the most they're doing is maybe increasing her base movements speed a little, I don't think she really needs messing with otherwise.
-
Yeah kinda disappointing. I thought we'd be able to click on other players profiles like how you can click on your own, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And there aren't like a least a couple of default options to choose from, right now you get nothing unless you buy a chucky cosmetic.
-
I think stuff like pretending to be friendly as a killer only to use that to your advantage or to troll is just plain rude. Like killers that let the last survivor open the exit gate just to dash their hopes by downing and hooking them as soon as it has opened, or killers that drop survivor at hatch just to mori them before they can crawl through. Stuff like that just seems unnecessary
-
I looked in store and it's still 1080. So I assume it's just a bug or something and will be very rare again in the next patch (if it's reported as an issue)

But thats whats going to happen. Killers will slug everyone and survivors will complain about slugging.
We already had that.
The counter is just to not tunnel. If you're tunneling, expect to be punished for it. It's 2 extra seconds to what we currently have, it's not a big difference and it doesn't mean it being active during endgame will come back, in fact that's very unlikely. Why we so worried over 2 seconds?
-
The only time I accept survivors doing that (either as a survivor myself or as killer), is when a survivor hasn't participated in the game for basically the whole match and is just essentially waiting for hatch and hiding, as they truly deserve to escape the least as they have not helped the team as a whole escape and are just being selfish.
Otherwise I don't condone it, idk why people would do this, maybe they haven't seen you much that match and just assume you've been hiding the whole time, or don't see much activity in the survivor hud? Or maybe they're just griefing, in which case is a bannable offense that people can be banned for with evidence, though idk how well reporting that goes as I've never done it.
-
Separately I think they are personally fine, together... it's insane. I downed a survivor at a window, vaulted over and now they're up again and both players have endurance, you'd have to insta pick as soon as you down them. To work for a down just for a survivor to get up instantly and be essentially fully healed for 10 seconds is crazy.
It would be nice if they could make them synergise less without ruining their individual perk use, but idk if that's possible.
-
I think it definitely would be nice to trade in some items, offerings or addons for bloodpoints, as yeah, a lot won't be used.
I don't think behaviour would do this but it would be nice. As I have SO may mist offerings that I never ever touch on any character, and I really only use specific addons on some killers and I never really use maps, brown toolboxes or keys.

Basekit BT would be abused. People already use map offerings, run with boil over and run to places where they know the killer cant reach a hook, leaving the killer no option than to bleed them for 4 minutes.
True, nerfing/reworking the perk would be the best option.

Some people just can’t comprehend that different people like different stuff in a game and will talk down anything that they don’t prefer.
many people have stated they would like the game to feel more like a horror game - which would obviously include more hiding, trying to avoid the killer and seeing the killer and a chase as a threat. But yeah the majority likes the chases and holding chases as long as possible instead of trying to leave a chase - which is a valid take but the game was definitely designed to have different aspects and you should be able to at least play the game in your preferred way without getting insulted… which apparently isn’t possible.
maybe that’s where a new game mode should come into play? Not ranked by casual (bc that would work at all) or just upping the number of players in one match (which would still be the same mode) - but one mode being more horror themed and one being more like what we currently have - chase-themed with more focus on anti-stealth but more 1-on-1 action..
Yes! I would definitely be interested in something like this. Been wanting new game modes, but so far only mobile has gotten them unfortunately, I think it would benefit the different play styles in this game and make the game feel more fresh and exciting.

What other aspect of the game you mean? Holding m1? If your finger is steady, you are already as good in it as the comp players!
You still need to be able to hide in certain situations, coordinate in helping your teammates survive whether thats taking hits or being able to time hook rescues or picking up downed survivors or distracting the killer, making sure you don't end up 3 gening, making sure gens are completed in a timely manner, survivor isn't just purely m1 and being chased.
Like ofc you can boil it all down to holding m1, but survivor is more complex than just holding m1 and there's a lot more survivors need to be aware of to escape consistently. And this is 1 point in my argument of which you pointed out, the other reasons are still very much valid regardless and points to why this is a valid issue that needs change.

I keep seeing people saying "why should batteries included get nerfed before it even released when MFT went on for months without a nerf in the live game!"
And to that I say, does that really discredit the need for the perk to be nerfed? Granted I don't know anything about batteries included or have an opinion on if it should've been nerfed or not, but that MFT comparison doesn't make sense cause...
Does that mean any perk should just go on to the live game for months while being too powerful? Maybe they've improved from that situation and from here on out we won't see overpowered perks reach the live game without a nerf, yet I keep seeing people on twitter using MFT as a reason to not nerf it, but no other valid reason. Just doesn't make sense to me

You say you're trying to get better in looping, but you complain that your trials are one non-stop chase until you die, and you don't get to hold m1 over gens and injured team-mates.
To me it sounds like you couldn't ask for a better opportunity to practice and improve.
If I'm only ever getting chased in a game how am I supposed to improve at or enjoy any other aspect of the game? That's not an opportunity I want or asked for in this game. Nor can I get the chance to improve in chases if I'm consistently on a hook and not getting the chance to heal or move a large distance away.
Are you expecting people who aren't gods at chases to just deal with getting tunneled all the time until they finally are able to survive tunneling? Doesn't sound like fun gameplay, nor will I be ever be awarded a sufficient amount of points at the end of a trial until then. How about instead we just fix the issues on both sides? Problem solved, or maybe you just enjoy tunneling because it makes the game easy.
This thought is a bad thought, you could have kept to yourself.
-
Well kicking gen has an instant regressed amount (i don't remember how much) so it's not like how it used to be where you would kick and the gen would start regressing and a survivor could just instantly tap it and basically no regression has happened. So its up to you to decide if you wanna regress the gen, or stay on that survivors heels, which I think is fine now.
If you really have an issue with it/face that often, there is a perk that once you kick a gen the next survivor to repair it within however long will become exposed (i forget the perk name).

I mean it is basically what you ate supposed to do by game design...
Exactly. The game has been designed around hooks and encourages the use of hooks and sacrificing over anything else like slugging to death or end game collapse death or even moris. Many more points are awarded for hooks

@Iron_Cutlass said:
Knockout does have niche application, I use it on Dredge to help deny information about where and when I down Survivors, it helps sometimes.
Yeah its fine for other uses but with its most popular use of bleeding out survivors for 4 minutes, I'm not a fan.
-
@ironligma said:
Heya. I think slugging is dumb. I've done it, but a whole build around it is absurd. I get slugging someone with power struggle however everyone is excessive. I will say though that hook spawns on some maps don't help. I had a game on lerys where I literally couldn't hook anyone if they were in this one area, and guess exactly where they went.
Yeah, hook spawns and perks that prevent hooks/makes you lose your down are the exception. If I have no hooks close by (whether bad hook spawn or hooks have been used up in the area) it's either slug or lose the down, so I will ofc slug, or especially with survivors forcing the Kate horse perk (the name has escaped me) on 2nd storys.
So there are definitely situations for slugging. But setting out to do so before the match even begins and with a perk that makes it very easy is extremely sucky.
-
Exactly. It's basically only an additional 20% off since buying a full outfit is already 10% off, and it's SUCH a small selection of outfits on sale. Disappointing to say the least.

Skull merchant will forever go down as dull merchant. I still don't like her gameplay (like the knight), but what can you do 🤷♂️
-
Awesome 😊

@caramelpudding said:
This is one of the reasons I uninstalled the game again. The past days I encountered more killers with a slug build. Dull Merchant, Slugakos and the best one was the Nurse who downed me and let the last survivor, a bot, wiggle free and though they passed me a few times the Nurse just did not hook me. Being downed, getting up only to get downed again the entire game is so much worse than tunneling.
Yeah, this is also a very common perk to use with sadako in my experience. Last game I had with her lasted forever because she wouldn't hook anyone and was trying to condemn/bleed out while also defending the last gen, Luckily we all got out (barely as someone was 1 down away from being dead).

You can’t be altruistic when you can’t even find your teammates. That’s not “on survivors for poor execution of altruism,” that’s just unfair. SWF players can counter it, but solo players can’t.

definitely needs a rework or nerf, idc which but its one of the most poorly designed perks in the game.
So true.

Slugging is better than hooks and allows for more chases. Bleedouts are on survivors for poor execution of altruism.
You simply can't coordinate in a solo q team. This is why it's a solo q issue and only affects solo q, which is why it needs a change.
-
Need Leon, Ada, Ashley and Luis Re4r fits too. (Ashley and Luis legendaries) Especially Ada's re4r outfit but also her alternative too because... 😍

I love Knockout build, very fun going against the bots that can pick each other up so fast.
Soloq is usually easy win.
It's not to be toxic, I just prefer not to hook if I don't have to.
This is the issue though. Soloq it's an easy win. How is that fair? And it's just a lazy tactic, this is why it needs to be reworked or nerfed as this isn't a playstyle that should be encouraged. Being on the floor for 4 minutes is not in any way interesting or fun for survivors, nor is it encouraged with points, unlike moris and sacrifices, cause it meant to be a last resort, not the first thing you do in a match.
If you think it should stay then lets introduce something for killers where they are unable to do anything for 4 minutes while survivors progress the game, then it would be fair. Although this sounds terrible, I wouldn't want that when I play killer, and I don't want knockout when I play survivor.
And most people do it to be toxic, as you can see in chat, the first thing he said was gg ez, trying to get a reaction as he knows that was a frustrating and boring game.

I personally wasn't there for said sales, but i have seen on twitter the official DBD account posting about there being a discount on skins / characters. I would also like to point out the sale starts today, but dbd official already said a sale for the game itself and its chapters would be on sale from the 21-28th so i think that means that cosmetics will be going on sale today, although they havent gone on sale just yet. sorry if that was confusing lol and i love ur choice of cosmetics
Thank youuu! Yes, I am a resident evil, Yui and Steve lover haha. Been wanting Claire since she was reworked but have patiently waited for a sale while I was actively playing the game :)

I assume in the next few hours or so they'll announce it. I have no idea either, I'm on Saturday now (Australia) but I think they tend to release stuff at 11:00am their time.

Auric cells are never on sale, that's correct. I'm not sure whether the Stranger Things DLC will be getting any discounts however as it seems like DBD is treating it as a new DLC.
Oh that could certainly be a thing, with all the promotion and adding the trailer at the beginning of the game again.
-
I have yet to unhook myself using the anti-facecamp mechanic... buuuut, I haven't gotten a face camping bubba since, so I'll take it.
-
I could be wrong. But I believe they don't do sales on auric cells themselves? But characters and cosmetics can be brought with less auric cells as those are the things on sale. But correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

Then why not run Unbreakable... rather then asking to have it basekit so you can keep using the same 4 Perks
Just saying
Even with unbreakable basekit or not, this perk is a problem. That's why it is not my first choice of dealing with this tactic, and nerfing or reworking the perk is.
Cause unbreakable is one time use, after that you're back to relying on teammates to find you and still recover very slowly. I also do use unbreakable off and on, but I was not using it this time.

Yeah revert to 5 seconds and still disabled at end game would be good. The 3 second stun really doesn't help at all, seeing it from both sides.

2 people with WakeUp! would not be able to kick eachother off, as very clearly stipulated in my original post.
" If you have WakeUp! and the other survivor does not "
Ah well. Everything else still applies.
Also you didn't edit that in? I swear I don't remember reading that initially, and someone said the same thing, soooo I'm not the only one.... but anyways.
-
Eh I don't really want voice chat
@WiseTraveler said:
Instead of voice chat, I rather offer survivors to be able to see the perks of their teammates that way they can let their teammates get perk value. This could be the difference between opening the gate faster with wake-up or getting you we'll make value because your teammates know you have those perks.
Now this i would be down for
-
It doesn't need a nerf. It's not really a strong perk, what survivors do with seeing pallet and window auras is completely situational and does not guarantee a survivor a good chase at all.
This perk is so good for solo q, being able to see what pallets have actually been used by other players, so you don't go running to a pallet and discover there is nothing there and just end up dying or getting hit. Plus it's really good for new maps so you can discover good looping/pallet/window locations.
-
omg. imagine trying to complete a ritual, tome challenge or achievement and someone just kicks you off the door... I would cri 😭 Also imagine 2 people with wake up kicking each other off the door so they can open it instead... sounds efficient 😂
-
I feel like they should add another gen (or 2) that needs to be completed by survivors so it's 6 instead of 5 and then add more to prevent tunneling (and maybe slightly nerfing gen regression perks since survivors will have more to do). That way survivors aren't faced with constantly being tunneled and killers don't feel so much pressure with gens. Therefore tunneling eliminated... ta da... obviously there's more to it then that but to give the general idea.
Although I know a lot of survivors feel like the game is already gen repairing simulator, so maybe there is something else that can be done, but just a thought. I think a lot of survivors who don't feel comfortable in chase/really don't like getting tunneled would feel more relieved.
-
I tend to only let survivors go if... they're the last survivor and they drop they're item (I'm weak to people doing this, it's like they're putting up a little white flag and saying "spare me", generally an unexpected let them escape moment). Another is if they've just been cute the whole game... idk how to explain it but sometimes a survivor has just been cute and you gotta let em go. And if a teammate has ended it early I'll let at least 1 if not the whole team go, cause that was just unfair for them since the beginning.
-
Perks are meant to be helpful. Not all of them need someone to do something in order to activate them. This insinuates that perks are supposed to be earned by how you talk about the first 3 perks, when most aren't built that way... you could say this about noed, any exhaustion perk, ultimate weapon, lethal pursuer etc.
You could have literally just said "Hey bhvr, this perk needs a buff" and explained how it could be improved and why you think it fails as a perk... not making this pointless comparison to make survivor perks seem much better than killer perks.
-
I believe since they fast vaulted and the trap isn't far enough from the vault, they didn't get trapped. With a Medium or slow vault they might have been trapped? Sometimes it be like that

They're usually the ones who complain the most is why I was asking lol but I don't mind trying anything.
Also I have all the killer perks unlocked at T3 and all the survivor perks that I own are unlocked on the 3 survivors I play, until the shrine gives me perks I don't own I have nothing to spend them on so i'm just saving up for Chucky so I can immediately get his T3 perks unlocked on everyone (tho his perks are poop imo) Currently holding 3mil BP so if I have nothing to gain I have nothing to lose.
Also also I noticed a lot of people saying Weskuh, I swear everytime I touch Wesker people get unbelievably pissed
Ah I see!
I never understood why people had/have an issue with wesker... beats me.
-
I haven't seen bubba in a long while. But I don't mind that so much if the trade is bubba with camping or no bubba and no camping. Cause face camping from bubba was pain, those people just did not get to play the game or have another chance after 1 hook. Bubba is fun to go against but yeah, the camping was not.
-
I think it could use some improving on both sides. The LOS on the map is definitely god awful, so so many twists and turns, you can easily hide as survivor or get away from the killers power. They need to open up the map a little more, I think the best comparison would be something like lery's, open halls with smaller rooms. Then for the survivor side, a lot of the pallets on that map are extremely weak, a killer can easily mindgame or just go around the pallet, the upstairs is also just a death space, you get like two windows into the next tiny room, you just can't get away from the killer in the rooms up there if you're injured.
Also maybe add more windows and change some of the really strong ones.
