No way out aint healthy, I did my task and wish to leave to move on to another game and is being delayed and it also gives extra kills that by right a killer should not even got sometimes. Heck ill admit that I been in games I use it and noed and technically I should have got only 0 or 1k but end up with a 3 to 4k..so yeah.

The devs put those perks in the game to use them. If they thought killers only deserved the kills they got before the gens were done then the match would end when the final gen was done.

I see that (Dead hard) with this proposal will be as doomed as the last time they reworked (Mettle of Man)

This is what I call "perks that does more harm to you and your team than good."

This is what I call salty killer mains idea to make the game easier on himself.

  • I don't like face camping either but where did you get the idea the game is supposed to be fun for everyone? They throw you in the match with the objective to kill the one side. You are not entitled to a fun time. You have to make your own fun time in this game.

  • Just no. I'm a killer and eve I think this is a bad idea. Dead hard has been problematic for some time and I'm not going to say anything about it. But the other exhaustion perks haven't been a problem. They're strong but not overpowered. They don't need touched. Not every perk that annoys you needs nerfed.

  • I don't care about killer instinct one way or another. Never said anything about it. And personally I have complaints yes. But most are personal like pyramid heads add ons and things of a smaller scale. Not that big a deal

  • Problem with mmr is it's fine for a competitive balanced game. But this game isn't balanced. Too many different killers to balance it so it can't be done perfectly. So they are treating it like a competitive game when it isn't one. Either they need to take the next step and truly make it a competitive game or drop mmr and make it a casual party game. They can't keep hopping the fence between the two

I bet your that type of myers player that uses cheap tombstone piece for instant free moris for easy wins , flashbang is by no means no easy win and is a perk the requires skills of use .

Whatever excuse you wanna put even if lightburn is not to go back to him the survivors should able to past by him while cloaked, acting as if a killer body block pallet/window with 0 effort and the other killers cant do that like he can effectively is pure ignorance. Also Killer instinct is an very outdated mechanic too that should not be existing no more in the game with how many aura reading perks killers have.

Lol problem is no matter what we say your not here to listen or actually discuss this. Your just mad that your favorite toy got taken from you so your crying about it. Wraith blocking a window isn't unique to him. Anybody with speed can body block something. Legion can do it than cancel his power. Blight can use first dash to block the window than second for the hit.billy can aim for window and stop his dash just in time. Wraith just does it better than all of them and that's why you singled him out.

For me, Overcharge is better because I get value right away and I can see no one is waiting there to tap the gen. If you're faster than me, you might do better with eruption.

I do main pyramid head so I can down people quickly and keep resetting eruption. Maybe on killers without a strong chase it's not the very best option.

Bad postioning? That aint even valid statment. Survivors have to be mindful of trying to avoid 2 or 3 genning which is an rng issue of the game. so you have no choice at times but to be in certain spots with 1 or no good window pallet or loop.

Then the wraith is rewarded for seeing the weakness of that particular gen and utilizing it affectively. Lightburn was a outdated mechanic that had no business still existing in the game. The wraith is far from the strongest killer in the game and removing lightburn didn't make him op at all. Leave him alone.

If they're ignoring heals to sit on gens they're punished by the threat of going down in one hit lol

Ask any good killer main and they will tell you. Survivors who stop to heal are giving you the time you need to get your job done. If you think survivors staying injured is a bad thing then you are sadly mistaken.

  • I'm playing for the win most of the time. If I can win by spreading hooks I will but if I see easy targets or gens fly I will do what needs to be done to secure that win. If they gen rush hard then I'll do my objective hard to keep up. I used to try and play nice but too many gg ez baby killers put me off careing what the other side thinks. When I play survivor it's the other way. I'll leave teammates for a extra hook state or Evan to die if it means finishing the gens. It sucks but the game makes you be ruthless if you want to win anymore.

You wouldn't tunnel and camp if doing so was punished would u?

I will adapt to whatever puts me in the position to win. The devs have plainly stated that Killing and escaping is the win condition so from either side I'm going to do whatever is most effective. Tunnel, gen rush, slug, gens over friends, camp, ignore healing for gens. Whatever works is what I will do.

  • If this was a horror game I would 100% agree but unfortunately it's only horror for the first few times against each killer. After that it's just gen repair simulator or a game of lethal tag. If they would lean into the horror aspect more than sure remove aura reads but also terror radias would have to go as well along with flimsy pallets hurting things like nemesis. I think there is too much they would need to change to actually make this a horror game again.

  • @durag_demon1 said:

we should definitely punish the killer for camping.. nobody cares about you trying to win

Well then we should definitely tunnel and camp. Nobody cares about you trying to escape.

  • Than punish the other side too. If killer can't do his objective fast neither should survivors. Punish people who gen rush as well. Bnp, prove thyself, and ignoring heals to sit on gens. All things survivors use to speed there objective up to give them a easier game. Punish them for those and then go ahead and punish the killers who do their objective too fast and annoy poor little survivors.

    I don't have a four-perk go-to, but I have two go-to pairs:

    • Plaything/Pentimento
    • Overcharge/Nowhere to Hide

I also sometimes do Monitor/Fearmonger but I've had mixed results.

After the reworks do you think eruption/no where to hide might be better now? Or do you still think overcharge is viable.

  • @ARTRA said:

Fearmonger - Nurses calling - Sloppy Butcher - Jolt

Great hit and run build. I tried it on my wraith to great affect.

  • This game is only horror for the first 100 hours or so at most. After that it's something else do sure. If I have to stare at my survivors rear the whole match I would very much prefer that rear be pleasing. Why I play Kate or shirtless David. More skins please.

  • @Heytherebigguy said:

You need to run Skull merchant with the perk "Patience" that helps you get the will to hold matches until the server disconnects.

    Then you beat everyone ez.

Or you could have a legitimate perk build to offer instead of sarcasm built to annoy people. Take your negativity somewhere else.

  • There are two ways to look at this.

1 this is a team based competitive match where winning is all the matters. From that point of view killing yourself on hook is a complete destruction of the teams chance to escape IF everyone is trying to play that way. If you take this approach to the game and see your teammates are doing nothing to further the game and are just messing around then you want to finish the match quickly and move on.

2 this is a party game where messing around is fun and your here to just have a good time. Then if you are getting tunneled or camped you just want out. Yes you screw your team but I you are here for fun then those playstyles completely ruin your game.

I'm not necessarily defending either of these viewpoints but I do understand them and don't scream when people give up on hook for them.

Now people that are just mad that they got downed early or are rage quiting because they messed up a chase, those are the kinds that big me. We all mess up sometimes. None of us play every chase perfectly no matter how good a survivor or killer we are. Doesn't mean we should rage quite the entire game.

do you really believe in matchmaking according to the mythical "mmr"? the developers on one of the streams said that the selection is based on the waiting time, otherwise the search would be too long.

If you read my comment you can see I very much doubt it work well. It clearly does something I just don't know what that something is except make us sweat harder than normal.

I should be paired against similar skilled killers. We have skill based matchmaking. I should not be seeing blights that can end the game in less than 3 minutes.

Additionally, regardless of the skill gap, games should not be ending this quickly.

Also, how would you suggest a survivor get better against blight other than getting a lucky indoor map? I consider myself bad at survivor because I make mistakes. I know the correct thing to do because I've played enough killer matches to know what good survivors do, but sometimes in the heat of the chase all that goes out the window and I makes mistakes. I attribute this to not having played enough to build up the muscle memory that some people seem to have for survivor. I have good technical understanding of what to do but don't always execute correctly.

Having said that, blight just feels like there's nothing to be done. He just farts at you at the speed of light. Curves unexpectedly around objects he has no business not hitting and has huge map presence on outdoor maps.

He just has everything going for him and none of the downsides that other killers experience.

    1. Fantastic chase potential.
    2. Huge map presence.
    3. OP Addons.
    4. Nearly impossible to counter power.

    Downside?

    He's annoying to play.

That's the point of skill based matchmaking if we are going to pretend it actually work the way it's intended. You win some matches and you go against someone stronger than you and they knock you back down to someone supposedly more your level. How will we get better if we don't play against the better players? Also blight is not annoying to play. The speed alone makes him very fun for most players.

The difference between nurse and blight is that nurse got nerfed and blight didn't.

The many times I have played against him, he's not fun. If you are a lower skill survivor like me (I mostly play killer) and you get paired against even a semi competent blight, your whole team just gets destroyed every time. It's oppressive and not fun. It's ridiculous that people think it's logical to even defend that.

It's even more ridiculous that the devs have allowed this to go on for so long, meanwhile nerfing pig every update for funsies.

Before the nurse nerf I would get games where the nurse would just insta down the whole team with starstruck within two minutes of the game even starting. Absolutely broken.

I can't defend the pig nerfs because those are just ridiculous but blight is fine except for attachments. Survivors just need to get better at facing him. We shouldnt punish people who master a killer just because some people are, and I quote you here, low skill survivors. They just need to get better.

  • The difference between nurse and blight is he actually is a high skill killer. He has several broken add ons that need heavily changed but his base power has a very high skill cap and he has counterplay. It's hard counterplay but it's learnable. For every tech that blight uses there are survivor techs for countering him. Blocking his bounce point on first rush is a good example but you can do it to send him flying off in another direction. Little techs like that are hard to learn and take split second timing but it's doable.

  • How about a version of basekit that only kicks in if the whole team is slugged and not getting picked up. They would need to fix certain areas like beham basement so people can't exploit specific maps but then I wouldn't have a problem with it. But if I slug four people at shack because they are swarming a gen there I don't want the game deciding to let people up just because of bad play from some survivors. If I start hooking them after they're down I think base unbreakable shouldn't activate

Having to function around your opponents making a mistake is a text book definition of poorly designed game mechanics or at least something that's very weak.

It's more taking advantage of someone mistiming their counterplay. And as wraith you can spam your vault button too and they can't vault fast enough to deny it. I don't know why people find this a problem wraith is my second most played killer and I've never had someone be able to deny me a vault for more than 2 or 3 vaults.

  • Nothing wrong with a bit of vaulting. I get plenty of hits from people who screw this up.

  • And when I get teams of survivors that swarm the hook should we just walk away and let them get the unhook? Sometimes camping is the smart thing to do and shouldn't be punished. Some of the suggested changes are fine but make them work only if there are no survivors within a certain distance from the hook. I had a match yesterday as pyramid head where I hooked and before I even got five meters from the hook 2 other survivors were moving in. Should I just walk away or should I stay and defend?

  • Really guys? This is what we decide to complain about? Charms are a nice way to individualize yourself. If you don't like the way they work you can completely ignore them.

  • A good perk build that works in this current meta is corrupt and deadlock for general slowdown then eruption mixed with either surge or if your a m2 killer no where to hide to pair with eruption. Does me pretty consistent results in the gen rush

  • They don't nerf altruistic healing at all. Sloppy only effects you if you're self healing. Just stay injured and pound gens. As a killer I'm wincing giving that advice but it is the counter. As killer I always laugh as people heal through sb. It means the match is being handed to me.

If it was gutted then why do high skill killers still run those perks so much? They are definitely effective in my games as a survivor and slow the game down unlike my default perks because the shrine is terrible. As long as I am interrupting gen progress I'm happy but I can't monitor 7 gens and play properly at the same time with trash perks. If you're suggesting I should get gen rushed and do nothing about it just because the perks to limit that got slightly nerfed then that's just silly. Unlike most killer mains I don't whine and instead I want to change my playstyle to be more fun for both sides.

High skill killers don't need much gen regression. Best ones left are surge and eruption. Eruption is licenced so it won't be in the shrine and surge is free. I'm not a high skill killer except for pyramid head so that's what I use on most killers.

  • I agree with the first part. Getting locker or gen sucked really is annoying. I can't even count how many times I've been killer by it. Especially annoying is when you're at full health and instead of getting a vault you're getting picked up and hooked.

Getting hit through a vault or window though... That's a ping problem alot. Especially bad for me as a console player cause my input has to go through Sony's servers too. It sucks but I don't know how they would fix it. I love it when it happens as killer and hate it when it happens as survivor.

And pallets not working? I haven't noticed that one yet. Maybe it's a newer big? Could submit a bug report and they might see it in about six months.

  • Poor Freddy has had more reworks and patches than most killers and they just keep breaking him. There are a few killers that need a rework badly and he is there.

  • What gen regression would you like? They've gutted the whole system. Not really worth running any of them any more except surge and eruption on the right builds.

  • The same reason killer cant see survivors builds in the lobby. They see three prove thyselves and a lot of brand new parts youll be getting a lot of killers jumping ship.

exactly. Right now I am mainly playing solo q and wow it’s a pain in the …

Thats what I am talking about I would be fine if I was still hurt but at least got dead hard. For me they just took away too many things at once.

Took away too many things at once?! They have consistently been gutting every gen control and regression perk in the game. Both sides are losing all the strong perks. Either they take from both sides or neither. They try to make both sides happy but the most they can manage is both sides equally pissed of.

Well for me I needed to change my entire gameplay cuz 2 of my main perks are useless. Idk maybe I just got bad all of a sudden haha but most rounds we get 1 gen done. I feel like the camping, tunneling and slugging got so much worse.

And it’s nice if u play without regression perks but many killers don’t. I don’t need to say much to legion with the right perks and add ons the match is lost before it even started.

How is the match lost before it began? He didn't get any buffs in this update. Healing? Healing against a legion was a complete waste of time to begin with and a sure fire way to lose the game. Dead hard? He puts you in deeps wounds so he already ignored it. What made him strong suddenly?

That would be so not worth it.

Why take this and not simply undying?

Or take both with devour. It would make a devour build more viable for more defense. You know how many times I've started a match to lose devour and undying in under a minute?

  • @Archael said:

idk. I start playing unfair if there is too many flashlight saves, or other things that prevent me from hooks. In every other cases im doing 8 hooks before killing, and my kill rate is around 2.5, which is "win" according to bhvr.

There is no such thing as fair play from either side. The objective is to kill and escape. Using any tool to do so from either side is fair and acceptable. The only reason people decide on things being "unfair" from either side is because people don't like losing. You can't win them all on either side and your not responsible for the other sides fun. Do what makes you have fun and ignore chat and opinions.

  • Yes. I love this idea. Some real protection for your totems early game so you can get some value out of them. It could have the same deactivation as corrupt. Turns off on down. It wouldnt effect the more powerful hexs such as devour but at least you would get value out of blood favor or crowd control in minimum your first chase.

  • Not all of these changes at the same time maybe but a couple would be really nice. The increased base sneak speed and the pick up while stealth would be great. As my name probably gives away I used to be a pig main but I got tired of sweating my mask off for even matches so I switched to pyramid head instead. If they could buff her some I would go back to her again.

If you need 2 mins to down a survivor, than that's clearly a skill issue

Are you just trying to get a rise out of people? A good survivor on the right map can easily make a chase last 2 mins. A pre dropper on the game for example. Bedham is another. I competent survivor can keep any killer without a strong anti loop going for 2 mins easy.

  • The only thing here of any interest is the mention of Meyers addon. The only reason he gets a addon that broken is because he's so week without it. The same could be said for his infinite. I would be perfectly fine with them removing those if they buff him a good bit.

  • I follow the BP bonus cause I really don't care which side I play and right now I'm having this most fun I've had since pyramid head came out. My survivor matches have a lot of camping and tunneling but thats nothing new just a little more frequent than before. My killer matches are fun too. Throw on corrupt and deadlock to slow the game down and couple locater perks and just chase as much as I can.
