  • Honestly, I'd say Spirit. Her Nerf, hearing her start to phase no matter where you are, is hardly a Nerf in my book. At the same time, it's been ages since I've played the game and I've only started again like 2 weeks ago, so IDK if she has received another Nerf or a buff or what.

  • Too weak needs a massive buff. I think the timer for the traps are a bit too lenient.

  • There's a couple of builds that I'm not too sure about since A. I rarely play Killer B. Don't have the necessary perks to use C. God I'm the worst killer ever!

The main one I have in question is Plague + Thanatophobia so if someone can tell me how that works out I'll be grateful.

  • I haven't played Hag in awhile but God her POV sucks! You can barely see crap when playing as her. I give props to those who play Hag.

    I misspelled a word lol

And no, I'm not wrong buddy go check some killer gameplay from 2016 and you'll see why survivors had to be nerfed more than killers. There where literally spots in certain maps where the killer couldn't catch you and the entity didn't block those spots either so you were pretty much forced to give up on survivors as the killer...

Oh no I completely agree with you. But at the same time, killers needed a few nerfs, but nope they got nerfed into the ground so ya.

To be fair, survivors needed more nerfs than killers, like honestly they used to be stupidly strong back in the day with the infinites and the pallets around almost every damn corner...

I totally didn't see your unedited comment. But both people aren't completely wrong. I guess it could be based off opinion at this point

  • Official Petition to change Inner Strength's name to Nancy's Perk!

I'm using the anti-heal GF build (not tru3's m1face though) and that works pretty well since potato survivors still bring self care in. Surge and Thrilling Tremors are also pretty fun to use.

Uh don't mind me being a potato survivor who brings in not only just Self-Care but whatever Nancy's perk is.

    yawn

    • Ghostface
    • Hags massive buff
    • Freddy rework
    • Doctor update
    • Surveillance buff
    • PGTW removing 25% across all tiers
    • efficiency decrease when 2 or more survivors are working on gens
    • Insta heal nerf
    • DS nerf and BL nerf amongst other survivor nerfs
    • The recent Oni buff that made him get his flick back

And i am just mentioned the ones I can recall off the top of my head that have happened in my year of so of playtime, killers had it way worse in the past

"B-but BHVR is catering too much to those evil survivors mains ;_;"

Or maybe you can not adapt and just want free, unskilful games?

I mean you also forgot NOED Buff and I do see where you're coming from but at the same time

    So onto what you said:

Ghostface- Literally was easier to get him out of his stealth mode than escaping against a Trapper or a Leatherface (two pretty weak killers in my opinion) so they fixed that and that's the only real major thing about him. He's probably A tier at best.

Hag- Poor Mobility and had kinda poor pressure, her traps were weaker than Trapper's due to the fact that you can avoid them by crouching (use UE) or destroy them with a flashlight which majority of survivors use (also flashlights need a slight Nerf at least, nothing major just slightly)

Freddy- Was literally the absolute worst killer in DBD until this rework happen. Now he's fun to play, and fun to play against too, he's not too bad (probably low A tier) and he's not too strong like Billy.

Surveillance(TLDR: still not the best perk)- Was a pretty horrible perk originally, and even then, it's still not the most ideal perk. Yeah all gens are immediate highlighted but think of it this way- all 4 survivors on different gens, the killer is gonna have to pick one of them and depending on the map and killer, these chases are gonna be lasting a while and a few gens will be done. Surveillance also sucks against SWF since you can essentially trick the killer by having 2 people with premonition or blood amber on a key, one person on a gen across the map and the other on the opposite side, if one of them knows the killer is nearby or sees the killer, they can just tell their friends to go to the other gen and when they killer gets to said gen, the other person with an alerting perk or item will tell the others ahead of time and can be long gone (depending on killer) and basically repeat the process. The only few times surveillance could be good is when it's a small map or paired with Corrupt Intervention.

PGTW- Works when someone gets hooked and even then, A. Other gens and other players B. ToolBoxes C. Perks such as Prove Thyself and Leader (yes I know how not ideal these perks are I'm a survivor main) will basically help get the gen back to its original progress in little time if you have people working on the same gen.

2+ Survivors on 1 Gen- Basically gens are kinda quick, most cases, a few gens could be finished in less than a minute paired with right perks. Honestly I don't know why you think this is such an inconvenience, this is well needed. Toolboxes basically nearly negate the affect entirely.

Instant Heal Nerf?- This one is iffy, they could of been more lenient on the Nerf but it's still well needed. Think of it this way, you chase a survivor for like 5 minutes, you knock them down, and another survivor comes by with instant heal, that's another 5+ minutes to a chase. They were BROKEN and now they're not the absolute worst but they're eh. The Styptic Agent isn't too bad, it's basically kinda 1 time budget BT. The Anti Hemorrhagic syringe got absolutely butchered so I see why you included it, but like mentioned earlier, it was very well needed, but I do believe they could of reduced the time needed by like 3 seconds or so.

DS Nerf- Now I personally never ran this perk, but it's kinda a crutch do or die perk. Refer back to the instant heal scenario, except they stun you when you pick them up, paired with right perks and map, it could create another long chase for the killer to the point that most of the gens (if not all) should be done if you have teammates with a brain. I honestly don't have an argument for this since of my underusage of the perk, but I think it's kinda common sense why it got nerfed.

BL Nerf- 1 word: I N F I N I T E S. Honestly have clue why you decided to bring up BL since it very desperately needed this Nerf very, very badly. It can create infinites especially on Haddonfield, and even with this Nerf, it's still not too shabby.

Just gonna bring up BT real quick- Yes this Nerf is easily exploitable for killers especially with Ghostface so the devs could probably look into that, however it was needed especially since depending on the kind of map and perks survivors have, and I know I'm overusing this argument, the chases could last for a good while and when the chase is finally over and you manage to get to the hook, congratulations! Another survivor was waiting and immediately unhooks them and tea bags in front of you, that basically another whole chase since you have to hit them TWICE. Even instant downs don't work against them, like Billy's chainsaw or Oni's dash attack, so that means you actually have to smack the survivor twice if you decide to go for said survivor you hooked.

Now as for Oni- No opinion. I don't know too much about Oni nor do I even have him so yeah. All you need to know- Billy is the bigger threat.

Remember to use Kleenex brand tissues for your tears. :)

You do realize that the more one side gets nerfed into the ground, the more the game is going to be less fun for both sides. I'm a survivor main and I rarely play killer but I want killers to not be nerfed into the ground cause playing against a good killer with good perks is challenging and fun af. But sure yeah, I'll use some Kleenex to clean my "tears"

  • @ZoneDymo said:

The ruin change was good, because if an entire match revolves around 1 perk then something is wrong.

But it should not stand on its own, it should not be replaced by another perk to then completely rely on.

The gameplay itself needs to be adjusted to grant killers more time and honestly, that is pretty easy to do and MANY suggestions have been made.

It wouldn't revolve around 1 perk though... You can pair up Ruin with Overcharge and Pop Goes the Weasel.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

"So since killers are getting ran into the ground with every nerf, what's gonna happen now?"

And forgets the tons of Buffs Killers received and all the Nerfs Survivors got...

Killers have gotten crap ton more and worse nerfs. Most nerfs survivors got were heavily needed like BL. Now, survivors can escape with relative ease instead of all survivors on a gen and not hiding in lockers.

  • Overall, my favorite is Head On, but on this list, I guuuuess BT even though it's crap against stealth killers.

  • Solo Survivor because if you get paired up with SWF, not only is the killer already annoyed, but if they're toxic SWF, then this killer is already going to be really annoyed and will do ANYTHING to win, and if survivors are able to get gens done, and if the only solo survivor gets down, and this is from personal experience, SWF will not give a single crap, even if they never got hooked once, and will leave through any means possible (which is understandable and perfectly fine, it just kills me on the inside everytime it happens to me).

  • Thanatophobia in concept is good when you're Plague. I'm not a killer main and I don't have Thanatophobia on Plague yet so I can't really test if it is good.

  • I know it may seem toxic since I chose keys, but I like probably broken keys the most because with the ring add on, I have less chance of becoming the Obsession and I always know where 1 person is without having to use a perk slot, and since it's a broken key, I can't be toxic and use it for the hatch.

It's kinda a win-win situation? Can't use the hatch but I can know where someone is.

  • Did you mean Nerf? Why would an op killer need a buff? Also Oni is great as he is and shouldn't get any major changes in the future whereas Bubba Pig Hag Trapper Legion Doctor etc all exist

  • @Hag.is.Dtier said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/904035#Comment_904035

"Muh Urban Evasion destroys Hag..." yes crouch around the whole the match, making the Hags job alot easier.

I mean with current Urban with Blendette, that's not too good for Hag, whereas these Blendette can accidentally step in the Trapper's traps if placed right. And also flashlight negate traps too.

  • Honestly Oni is probably a good A tier for me and he is nice as the way he is. I haven't played him yet so my opinion is based on videos and going against him. Oni's sprint is great and has the added factor of "holy crap he's charging right at me I'm gonna die" unlike Billy who's more like "oh he's charging right at me, oh well". Billy may be better in the end but Oni is the scariest killer there is.

  • I say Trapper is better due to how Urban is rn. If it ever gets nerfed, then Hag would be better.

Also Trapper gets bonus points for being able to injure survivors regardless if they step or disarm traps (I think it's the pink stone add on that injures survivors who disarm traps?)

  • Wouldn't No Mither be a weaker counter to Oni compared to Unbreakable? With No Mither, you start off injured and are forever injured.

Also Oni is honestly good as he is now. He's not extremely op but he's no where close to weak.

DEVS KEEP ONI AS HE IS NOW!!

  • Pretty dumb idea especially if you obviously see another survivor about to go in for the rescue.

Omg you....you hurt my brain. You just said balance landing can't be called balance landing if it doesn't balance your landing.... You just admitted that you're basing how the perk works off of its name.

And if anything let's take it into reality, please. I am pretty sure in real life you can't just repeatedly jump off a one story building over and over again.

But let's also take it into game reality, because it causes exhaustion for balance purposes. I'm pretty sure you have enough common sense to know that games take stuff from reality and change it up a bit to how works in the game for balance purposes

Talking about reality while talking about DBD is, in my opinion, one of the worst things to use in an argument since there's almost nothing in this game that may be realistic. However I do see where you're going with.

Honestly I'm in the middle about this BL nerf/buff/anything about BL. I'm not completely sure what the Nerf is other then no more no stagger, but is that only when you're exhausted or is there just no more stagger reduction in the perk itself. If it's just when you're exhausted, leave BL as it is, it's still not half bad of a perk. If it's no longer part of BL, then maybe make so the stagger reduction only activates when not exhausted.

  • Pinhead would be a very interesting killer and I'd like to see what the devs would do for him.

  • Maybe for Sole Survivor, have something similar to Premonition or Spine Chill built into it.

Look at the date I posted that. Then compare it to when Adiris came out.

Adiris being a Killer has confused me to no end, and I even say on my Killer Timeline post "WHY DID THE ENTITY TAKE ADIRIS??? NEVER ONCE DOES SHE KILL SOMEONE!!!" (you can go look for yourself, it's on the second page of Lore).

I think Khorzad has it right though. She was desperate, and the Entity heard her prayers. She was given eternal life and new powers, in exchange for sacrificing deceivers to her god (Babylon had about a couple hundred, so which one is a bit hard to determine).

Damn I didn't realize you posted that last year, sorry about that.

I promise you that is the reason. If you play her for any time outside of potato ranks you will have a miserable time.

    Sounds like a good time.

  • @VolantConch1719 said:

Like Raven said, he might be violent and aggressive, but he was a debt collector after rugby. You don't get paid for killing people.
Just about every killer has had murderous intent (even Rin and Lisa, Rin being attacked by her father and wanting revenge, and Lisa wanting revenge against her captors). David's just aggressive.
As for the not fighting thing, again, like Raven said (very simply). We don't know how long he has been in the Fog. How do we know he didn't try to put up a fight when he first met a Killer?

Using this logic, then what about Plague/Adiris? The only "violent" attempt she had was cutting off a toe so someone wouldn't be able to get the plague. Adiris never had any violent intentions and actually left her home so people wouldn't get sick since Adiris had the plague. Using your logic, Adiris should be a survivor and not a killer.

It's not about her being strong. She's for sure weaker but that's not the problem I have with her now, it's how unfun it is to use her and how she went from skillful gameplay equals reward to it takes so much skill to even finish the game without force closing it.

Eh I don't really see that issue with her but it could be because I'm not necessarily a nurse main let alone killer main.

  • My favorite killers to play are probably Myers, Plague without a doubt (10/10 puke physics would puke again), and probably shockingly Ghostface. Billy isn't too bad but I wouldn't say I'd want to use him daily.

Survivor wise: Claudette (yes I'm toxic but I'm a crappy Toxic player who hates flashlights :-:) Nea, David, and Nancy.

  • @coppersly said:

    It WAS Nurse.

Now it's just Hag until they breath life into Nurse again (pun intended)

I mean Nurse is still pretty good. Maybe not SS Tier but she's still S Tier in my opinion

  • I mean if you want a healing perk that'll do well with other perks, do Inner Strength Quick n Quiet and Head On.

  • Huntress because she just wanted to protecc in her backstory but she's one of the killers the Entity kinda made into a killer instead of being a natural or close to natural killer like Freddy Nurse Oni and Myers

  • Oni is definitely at a minimum B Tier, and I would rank him up higher, like A Tier, but I think Oni would be Mid to Low A Tier or High B Tier

  • I can sometimes do it. One match I'll be either barely missing it or just not hitting it at all, others I won't even need the totem gone to do gens. I guess it depends on map, lag, and type of killer and their perks, like Doctor with Underwhelming presence or whatever Trapper's perk is.

I don’t trust DH at the moment but it should work if you’re already injured

Oh I definitely don't trust dead hard, especially on dedicated servers cause despite being a console players, the amount of lag I witness in videos and people complain about makes me think either dead hard will launch you +10 meters or launch you right into the killer.

  • Wouldn't Dead Hard kinda work?

  • The amount of times I get 4k but not the merciless Killer is so insane

  • You should have made an option for one or the other if we only like 1.

That being said, I like the new Styptic but hate the new pink needle or whatever it's called

  • @pichumudkip said:

Her add-ons need major rework. Rule Set No. 2 should be base kit and not an add on. Amanda's Secret: Aura reveal time should be 8-10 seconds, not 6. The trap timer should get a slight decrease and to take the trap off should be increased a little. Like being a survivor main, I love pig because it takes around 5 seconds at most to get rid of the trap then you can immediately hop on a gen.

Also I just realized I probably should voted for the "Yes" option but the add ons are my biggest problem with how weak Pig is.

There are 17 killers in this game. You'll rarely run into any individual killer more than a handful of times in a given play session. But you don't need to play against Spirit on a regular basis in order to be frustrated by her.

And yes, she does become more common at red ranks. Streamers run into her very frequently.

"You'll rarely run into any individual killer"

*runs into Myers and Ghostface like 6 times a night* but I get ye point.

  • Pig got slaughtered because of EGC and I hate it. Like I'm a survivor main but my Piggy needs to get a huge buff because she best killer (not really but this game just made me fall in love with Pig for literally no reason at all)

  • As a survivor main: Generators get done so quickly some match whereas every other match feels like the gens are done after an hour. But when I'm killer, oh boi, I understand why killer mains complain so much about gens and I 100% agree.

  • Actually she apparently does have a tell. It's very hard to notice but it's something, I'm pretty sure the glass shards do indeed light up if I'm not mistaken.
