  • Huntress would be interesting because I'm picturing her as a human killer Bambi. She and her mother lived out in the forest by themselves during ww1 (or was it ww 2? Someone correct me if I'm wrong), then her mom dies (forgot how, I think it was due to being sick but correct me if I'm wrong), and then I believe she starts luring children to her so she can act as a Mama Bear.

  • So I'm not a killer main but when I do play killer, I try not to camp and I try not to tunnel, but I always end up tunneling someone because when someone gets unhooked, I immediately go back there, but I always find the hooked person and not the unhooker which sucks but oh well. I recently played a game a few days ago as Leatherface and I found a Claudette immediately. I hooked her and I just see out of the corner of my eye literally everyone trying to get her. After the match the same Claudette messaged me saying "CAMPER"

  • No0b3 is pretty God tier, especially his toxic series.

Monto and Puppers are also 10/10

I don't watch Otz too often but he seems good.

  • A habit of mine I desperately need to break is feeling guilty if someone is hooked and the doors are open. 9/10 I always end up dying because I feel guilty for letting someone die so I save them but get down in the process.

Fair enough. And now the big question is, would he have done it? Is there any way that your actions could help lead to a resolution of the match? If so, then there’s nothing wrong here.

Bad situation for you, I admit, but, not reportable as far as I can tell. I would have tried to get him to fully attack with his chainsaw and make him bump into something. That’s your shot at freedom during his stun.

He's only in the wrong if he’s standing at the top of the stairs to block your access down, and then decides to go make dinner and binge watch Netflix.

My friend decided to attempt to leave after the gen but he got smacked and the Leatherface had NOED, so I tried using head-on but since I used it before, he knew to not get close to the locker. The only thing I could of done was get the 4% but that failed

  • @yobuddd said:

Would the killer have attacked if you got near?

    • Yes? Then he did nothing wrong. Strategy. You would have been downed to either bleed out, be hooked, or wiggle free. Game ends, so not a hostage situation.
    • No? Then it’s hostage taking and reportable. If you’re trapped and he won’t hit you to progress the game, then he’s at fault.

It was a Bubba so he just threatened us with his chainsaw if we ever got close, he wanted to down both of us at once.

Regardless he didn't move from the spot until you did the generator... and if you didn't.... its LF.... he'll down you because that room has nothing to help you with EXCEPT the lockers... but... that didn't work out...

    Yeah

  • So keys is a pretty interesting issue right now, but as far as I'm aware, there's a formula to keys, kinda? It used to be you'd have to do a certain amount of gens to open the hatch via key (amount of alive survivors + 1 gen, IDK if it's still the same now), and it didn't seem to be an issue pre endgame collapse. If we were to stick with that specific formula, theoretically the last survivor would need to have at least 2 gens done (assuming no-one did any gens) to open the hatch, but now the hatch spawns everytime it's only 1 survivor left and that's where keys get over powered because it allows a survivor to escape via hatch with a key with no gens done. Maybe they could have it so survivors can't open the hatch after endgame collapse? All I know is that in my opinion Ebony Mori is the worst thing in this game, but the other Moris are fine.

  • HOLD UP I JUST REALIZED I FORGOT A PRETTY IMPORTANT DETAIL.

The only reason why we were both in the house was because my friend was hooked there and I came to unhook him.

So... you DC'ed before that end result could be met or?

Cause i'm not following with what you're telling me...

Na we stayed in the game.

But something I did forget to mention, after my friend finished the gen, he had the "bright" idea of going straight to the Leatherface for no reason and he got down, so I resorted to attempt to use head on but that didn't work since I previously used on him and he had learned.

  • Can there be an option for a combination of Myers and "Amazing" teammates?

  • I never get the snoot booped or get the chance to boop the snoop :-:

it was a thing for her during the PTB (though they already said this was a bug).

she is only able to see fresh bloodstains uppon equipping the "Father's Glasses" (Ultra Rare) add on, which does not remove scratch marks though - i messed that one up, sorry.

so yeah, she is able to see both, scratchmarks and bloodtrails, but only after equipping an Ultra Rare add on.

Okay you just shined a whole new light to me and made me realize that Spirit isn't that op even with Prayer Beads. I'm glad she could only see Scratch Marks without the add on. Thanks for the info.

  • Honestly they should of added Nancy Thompson rather than Quentin Smith, I honestly forgot what Nightmare movie Quentin was from.

  • There are bumholes out there who will purposely not ready up because they're bumholes.

she cant see bloodstains without an add on that removes the scratch marks though...

(yeah, she can see old bloodstains, but new ones will not be displayed to her in her base power)

Wait really? I thought it was in her base kit... Did she get Nerf or was it never in her base kit?

  • Honestly I do feel bad for not voting the Spirit is fine since even I'm willing to admit us survivor mains complain sooo much, but the ability to see blood trails AND scratch marks seen a bit op, and TBH the ability to see scratch marks should be made into an add on

  • I'm not expecting anyone to mention this or agree with me, but the Preschool map. First of all, we don't need 3-4 variation of essentially the same thing but slight different placements. 2nd of all: 8 times out of 10, hatch is always in preschool basement (which I'm not complaining as a survivor main but I'd like it to be harder and a little fairer for the killer). Those 2 are really just the main reasons why the map should be reworked. Sorry if it doesn't make sense or not enough reasons compared to Haddonfield and Coldwin Farm.

  • Honestly people kinda sleep on Plague, she has very great potential. If you slap Thanatophobia on her with maybe Sloppy Butcher and Nurse's Calling (those 2 are debatable but main focus is Thanatophobia), she can be very op. With Thanatophobia, you're forcing survivors to make a decision, heal and let Plague get stronger or endure the penalty for Thanatophobia. Her puke physics could be worked on a little but she's overall fun to use and the concept (cause I'm a survivor main and don't level my killers up so I don't have Thanatophobia) seems to be smart enough to work. If anyone wants to try this, let me know what other perks and add ons you use and how it goes.

  • Plague TBH. Puking on everyone is 10/10 would puke again. But seriously Plague is honestly fun to play as, especially if you too her off with Thanatophobia or whatever Nurse's perk is called. Honestly I think the Plague should be a lot higher in most people's rankings especially if you are running Thanatophobia, it basically forces the survivors to endure the reduced speed in stuff or to let the Plague get stronger.

  • Honestly I'm kinda in the middle. Maybe if the killer isn't running Thrill of the Hunt then yeah skill checks on Hex totems. At the same time, it would be really annoying since both sides are constantly complaining about one thing or another (especially us survivor mains so our apologies killer mains)

  • It helps get me my adept killer achievements faster since I S U C K as Killer (also I give props to y'all killer mains, I really didn't think the gens were that fast until I played killer)

  • I was gonna say have it somewhat built into her basekit (but that low-key be op). Maybe the devs could incorporate it into the base kit but it'll be a silent phase for like 2 seconds and then the rest is very obvious audible phasing noises.

Now, here's where the rule gets tricky.

Holding the game hostage refers to a Killer or sometimes a Survivor... keeping you or another player in a specific small room or corner in which they can't escape from...

The Survivor doesn't move at all, and the Killer doesn't hit you with his weapon. It's less likely for a Survivor to pull this off since the Killer will just hit you both when he sees the crows and notifications... but if the Killer is on board with this for some reason and doesn't hit the Survivor off you... than it can technically be considered "Holding the Game Hostage"

Now, here's where the main part of the rule comes in. For the most part, this rule applies to Killers except for the rare circumstance above... which is highly unlikely to ever happen in-game.

Anyways, for a Killer to trap a Survivor in a corner or a small room and not moving until the Survivor is forced to DC... than that's holding the game hostage... If the Killer doesn't move from that spot for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or even 30 minutes... than that's holding the game hostage... regardless if the Survivor DCs or not.

Now, in your case, the Killer didn't move from the staircase what-so-ever... and in that time you had an option to activate the last generator and power the exit gates. If the Killer proceeded to move after that generator was activated, than that's not holding the game hostage... It's just bad sportsmanship which you can still report them for.

If he still didn't move for say... 5... 10... 15 minutes... but than downed you all and killed you... than that's holding the game hostage.

The reason the 1st part where he moves after the generator isn't holding the game hostage... is because he allowed you to do the generator and didn't stop it... that's his loss... than he moved because of NOED or his chainsaw for a free down or whatever... By doing so, he's only going to get one down most likely, and if he downs both of you than that's unlucky...

It's not holding the game hostage since he moved and the generator was done... which progressed the match... in any case, he was going to down one of you anyways upstairs... so by moving after the generator was done... basically fed you points and possible an escape.

I suppose you could report him for trolling or bad sportsmanship... but if he moved after the generator was done... than that's not holding the game hostage since he progress the match by downing one of you...

If he didn't and stood there for a decent length of time, than it IS taking the game hostage since he's wasting time for everyone... and not letting the game progress.

It was only my friend and I both left in the game, and we were both trapped in the house, and even though my friend did finish the gen, the killer had NOED so we were dead regardless of what happened.

  • I'm gonna say Hag purely because of Ruin. Other than that, honestly could be anyone, including Leatherface/Bubba, but odds are, most likely Spirit. Honestly just prepare for any killer to be "unfun" to play against.

  • Jeff has the dog so screw everyone else dogs are the best henceforth Jeff has the saddest backstory.

But in all seriousness, I'm surprised no-one said Jane yet. She grew up without a mom, and her dad struggled with his job as a visual artist. Yes her teenage life was good for the most part and she was successful, however, she invited her mom onto her show, where the mom revealed that they weren't actually related, on camera, in front of the audience. Now that not only seems embarrassing, but just imagine how Jane felt during that moment. Her mom, who wasn't in her life, who Jane thought was this popular actress for all her life, weren't actually related. So Jane goes to New Jersey (bad mistake) to see her dad, only to get sleepy and end up in the entity's realm. All her success and whatever family she had, all gone. She didn't even get to see her dad one last time.

  • I'm assuming it may be Benedict or Vigo's since those 2 are the main important npcs in the game.

  • *Spoilers, kinda*

If that is the case, then shouldn't there be something mentioning Steve? Steve's background info mentions Dart so why wouldn't the Demogorgan's background mention Steve? As far as I'm aware, it could be just a reference, since I believe one of Demogorgan's add ons is like a rat or something, but rats have nothing to do with Demogorgans or the Demodogs, but they do have something to do with the Mind Flayer. So as much as this Demogorgan being Dart, the mew's guts is probably just a reference.

  • I think he may be from NJ despite majority of the population calling it gas and not petrol, however a few gas stations call it petrol so who knows TBH.

  • So I find 2/3 of the mories fine, but the ebony mori should have a small rework. Since survivors get 3 hooks max until they're dead, they should have the survivors be in phase 2 in order to mori them to make it slightly more fair. On the other hand, I do see why it's hard enough to do that already but honestly, neither side is going to ever be happy so there's really nothing the devs could do to make both sides happy.

Also Clown's jiggle physics should be able to damage survivors if close enough.

To all the people who don't understand why it's like this:

Survive With Friends had an issue where after you were in a game with your friend(s), you would go back to individual queues, have to back out, then go back to survive with friends, invite your friend, and start all over. It was extremely frustrating. They combined SWF with Play as Survivor because they were essentially the same thing. As Peanits said, if you could use that button in a lobby you could become a killer while your friends were survivors. It might take some time but I'm sure they'll add a way for it to work so just be patient.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/696107#Comment_696107

That was actually changed this patch as well. You can use those while waiting now. Well, not Character Info specifically, or daily rituals(and character info was actually removed from the screen when waiting), but you can use your BPs, set up your build, etc now.

What do you "had" it's still there. Literally whenever I try to hop on with my friends, stuff occurs. Either they show up but one of us don't see each other, an error would occur for no reason, cannot connect to host, etc.

  • Honestly I think the devs should look more into this. It's honestly such a great and fantastic idea. And if they did this, being a survivor main, I personally would be excited and wouldn't care if they added a survivor or not.

  • I don't know what's worse, groups who are too altruistic or groups that are under altruistic

  • So despite being a survivor main, I try to understand both sides. Now I wouldn't say NOED doesn't reward bad gameplay, but it also, well, doesn't reward bad gameplay. It's a perk that's in the middle for me. And if anything it rewards killers on good gameplay on top of bad gameplay. If you close a hatch on survivor, boom NOED. Survivors finish all gens, boom NOED. Honestly the only thing I recommend is make tier 2 NOED the one that instant downs survivors.

  • It feels weird reading everything going against survivor mains and them complaining so much, but being a survivor main myself, all the top tier killers don't need to be nerfed at all, in fact a few of the killers (Wraith mainly) need a buff.

  • I agree DS does reward bad plays, but so does NOED. I try to remain neutral despite being a survivor main, but you gotta admit that there perks on both sides that reward bad plays

  • As someone who's a survivor main, I completely agree that survivors are definitely a lot more toxic than killers, but not by much TBH. I respect killers who play an honest and respectful game, unlike an interesting game I got with a killer being pissy that I kept "looping" him (just FYI, I don't think I'm good at this game at all, I really do suck).
