It is not like Spirit standing but yes it is gonna be powerful perk with the combination of IW. What really makes me both happy and sad is that while BHVR did a good job changing the useless Lucky Break to something nice, the part that saddens me is that now we all gonna see survivors with LB+IW combinations and it is gonna be stereotypical build for every survivor at certain ranks. Moreover no marks,no bloods and no voice combination is a dangerous mixage at some maps and 90 secs is quite a time. 60 secs would be much more perfect in my opinion or the timer wont pause even you healed.
Time for me to play legion again or wraith

But now with that in mind I wanna think about Nemesis, which was the main reason I asked this said question, would you say that would be enough to stun him? or at least stop him in his tracks for quite a bit?
If a car that is going mb 30mph can move him off his feet then yes a almost 300lb pallet can momentarily stun him
I'm referencing the part where he gets rammed into a wall in the parking garage

Thx for helping clear it up a bit. so that could mean they weigh around 275 pounds, and say they move at a speed of .9144m/s. How much would that be? God this should be a video for game theory
Answer enough to give anyone a concussion if they get hit by it

Funny enough that's the whole reason why I asked this very question. I wondered how would Nemesis be stunned by a pallet, I then wondered well how much does the pallet actually hurt. I do think the pallet doesn't way over 1.5 tons Yui wouldn't be able to pick it up, I'm guessing its around at least a hundred pounds in weight
That seems more reasonable considering that the killers take a while to pick up a surivor and the average person around 5,10 is about let's say about 165 (btw I'm bad at guessing weight)

But there are way more 4 leaf clovers compared to 3 leaf ones

If not, that's what i found:

Clover studio was made by capcom and directly connected to RE 4 release.
What do you think? Part 4 Leon confirmed?
Funny I was think the map could be from re 4 if there is a map

Or how PH can be, Poor Hag she is ######### dead. ALthough this might not entirely be accurate
Still let's say the survivors and killers have insane strength by the entitey anything would be stuned by that even someone like nemissis

Thats at least 1 ton and a half, yeah survivors can't throw that down
That explains how oni can be stuned
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
A typical wooden pallet is around 35 pounds, but these seem to be much heavier so I'll throw in an extra 5 points for 40 pounds. I'm too lazy to calculate with angular momentum so I'll just take the highest part of the pallet and assume it goes straight down. Survivors are probably around the 5'10" mark, and since pallets are taller than them, we'll say a safe 6'2". The pallet drop animation takes about .2 or .4 seconds (starting from when the pallet starts to move, not the actual animation), just by eying it. So it travels around 1.9 meters in .2 seconds. 9.5 meters per second. That's about 861.8 newtons, which is probably horribly wrong because we don't have any exact values, but still enough to cause a concussion.
The lesson is that the entity better have some damn good employer health insurance and I should take physics
Also aren't pallets hallow and these aren't
-
@Dabihwow said:
So I'm not sure if anyone thought about this, but to kinda understand what I'm talking about I'll give you a scenario. Say I'm looping the killer near a pallet, killer gets to close to me and I throw the pallet on their head and that stuns them. I want to know how much pounds of force is being used when I throw down the pallet and how much pounds of force am I applying to the killer? If you confused for what I'm asking, basically I'm asking how hard does the pallet hit the killers' head
Well considering that normal pellets are hallow and weigh I'm guessing 15lb these aren't hallow so at least 40
(The weights are guess not accurate) edit ingore my numbers I was thinking of cary size pallets these are clearly not cary size

This is a bit of offtopic but since a lot of times people discuss extremely powerful or eldritch beings as potential Killers this it always comes into play, people misunderstand how hard and durable pallets are in real life, especially when as thick as the ones we have in this game, real life pallets are constructed by nailing wooden planks to wooden beams, they have a lot of empty space, what we have looks very solid, more of a bunch of planks tied and nailed together with almost no air in between, making them much heavier and potentially much much more durable.
I work in an oil refinery and we use pallets to avoid putting heavy machinery on direct contact with the ground to avoid humidity and dirt, those things can be loaded with a couple of tons of steel machinery without even flinching as long as they have enough surface to rest in more than 2 wooden planks and they rest on top of one of the strong interior beams, old pallets that the repair teams forget must be disposed off, those things weight A LOT (and ours are probably lighter than what we have ingame) usually must be either pushed by 1 or lifted by 2 and to break those things we use hammers unless they are extremely old and starting to rot or dried after rotting, if thats the case the wooden planks can be smashed by kicking BUT the beams must always be broken with hammers, about throwing them is not that hard even by small people because you just need to unbalance them a bit for them to drop, thats the most realistic thing about pallets in this game.
Onto the topic, I can perfectly picture anyone in this game being stunned (or outright trapped under if of small and weak frame like Jigsaw, Hag or Nurse), even Oni or Trapper which are massive by human standards (but so are the pallets) but things like Nemesis and Mr X who can break concrete walls with their body and withstand an helicopter crashing into them, the Xenomorph which is bigger, stronger and more agile than any current Killer, Pinhead has more power than most of the cast combined, IT is more close to The Entity than to the Killers, I cant picture IT being dominated by The Entity and do its biding, for them to put such juggernauts they would have to make them increasingly weak compared to their original IP counterparts.
If you get Nemesis its not going to be that 3 meters mass of meat crashing around everywhere, breaking everything on its path, eating more bullets than a Hongkong film action hero, attacking with his bazooka and tentacles killing everything on sight, it would be the size of Trapper, with a ranged attack similar to what Pyramid Head has, who would get blinded by flashlights, bodyblocked by a conga line made of small chinese girls on pink rabbit hoodies and stunned by pallets, all of this while it gets streamed to the world while someone laughs at you, he would be pitiful compared to RE3 Nemesis.
P.D. something like Predator wouldnt make sense either mainly because Predator main thing is his ability to jump and stalk from trees while taking pot shots at unsuspecting prey, his game would be too vertical and this game has none of that and its not prepared either, also lorewise Predator only hunts strong prey not scared, weak and defenseless victims.
Thank you I'm no wood worker but the had to cary hollow pallets these aren't hallow

A few days ago I got into a discussion about how the weaknesses and limitations of killers (not in gameplay but as a character) don't matter. This really stood out to me as the big issue with people who don't understand why killers like Pennywise or Nemesis can't be added to the game. Some people are so adamant to have Mr X added to the game that they forget to picture him being stunned by a 6 inch thick pallet of wood. Some people in the community don't understand the reason why killers like Freddy and Demogorgon work in the game and characters like Pinhead and Nemesis don't. I really would like to clear this up if anyone is confused about this.
So oni can be stuned but mr x cant got it Ps bullets stun them in the games why wouldn't a 7 in pallet do that

I like the TR dependent perks, but Unnerving Presence definitely needs something more than what it currently does. It currently only serves Doc best for blatantly obvious reasons.
I was thinking about how we sometimes still see posts about how Ruin was nerfed (which i strongly disagree with), and wish old Ruin was still in the game.
What if, on top of Unnerving Presence current function, hitting great skills with in the killers TR granted NO bonus progression, and hitting good skill checks within the killers TR had a penalty? Nothing as oppressive as old Ruin’s 5% regression for hitting good skill checks. Maybe 2%?
Thoughts?

Yeah, due to the luck it requires though it's kind of inconsistent :/
As I said, some Spirits will know how to play around it and some bad ones can easily get screwed over by that.
Yeah that's why iron will in needed to tip it to your favor

Def Chris and jill both stars members and nemissis the stars destroyer makes sense of there is a map probably something from re 4 0r 5 if they ate trying to include as many players a possible like silent hill

Anyone can play Spirit. Only mediocre Spirits would fall for her counters (no offense to anyone). Also, Iron Will only helps against her, it doesn't completely counter her. Stridor exists as well which completely removes the help of Iron Will.
By your logic, I have destroyed all of these "good red rank survivors" that tried to dodge my Spirit for more than 1 minute, and I don't even play Spirit because of how boring and easy she is. Blight and Clown are way more fun. No Stridor either. Red rank killer btw
And holy ######### how many times are people going to acknowledge gen speeds, they're literally fine. The only bad thing about them is BNP. I main killer as well so don't try to talk ######### about me.
The counter play is risky and inefficient
But in order to do this you need a good setup
1 ironwill with or without stridor this makes this happen
2 another loop in nearby distance
3 luck
She stands still run to another loop and watch her if she dosent move crouch because it reduces noise you make. then this is the luck part if she keeps going in phase to the loop you need to run back to your loop you started at if she ends up behind you run to the other loop
This dosent work 100%of the time but its the best results I've gotten

So with the new RE dbd chapter, some people have been speculating that the new killer could have to do something with zombies, considering you can hear zombie-like noise in the background of the trailer
Some people think the new killer's power could have AI-controlled zombies around the map attacking surv if they get in range.
how do you guys think that would work in DBD, you think it would be to overpower or just plain to hard to program.
Technically there is basic ai in dbd in the tutorial if I rember correctly the trapper trapped behind the entitey wall will follow you and hit the wall if close
And if re team is helping they may help with the coding they use for the zombies in the games

You don't get scared in a RE game.. unless you are easily scared, they are made to put pressure on you just like DBD, gore doesn't mean scary. If you are an old gamer like me saying that Jack its the most memorable villain in RE universe its a blasphemy 😅. Im not saying RE 7 is bad but come on there are many villains in past games with more trajectory of the franchise that earned their place above him.
I think the most memorable villain of all the franchise is Nemesis, specially in the original game, were he would follow you everywhere and make you feel true panic.. when you cross a door and hear Nemesis music in the background it instantly make you say "Oh #########". Not many games achieve that.
Yea I started with 5 but 3 and 2 are my favorites

The main 4 (Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire) don’t really fit in DBD. It’d be weird to see them running from the Killer.
I’d be down to see Ethan, even if we don’t see his model ingame there is an official model made for him and he’d fit the style of DBD more.

The map in particular promotes a stealthy approach, which I like, but it also mandates a stealthy approach. You CANNOT afford to loop on this map... or do any kind of chases. It feels impossible to lose Killers if they're too close, which is problematic if Midwich is a "stealth" map.
I would love it if it got reworked tbh.
I like stealthy approaches but how are you supposed to approach stealthily as oni?

I believe that games like 5 and 6 were the series beginning to die, but I feel as though the only thing that caused 7 to be so successful was the fact that it was from a big company, had a recognised title, and exploited the fact that VR was all the rage at its time of release. I think that the only thing that actually tied it in with the rest of the series was the fact that a virus created the enemies. Had it not been for these factors, it could have passed as a completely different title altogether.
Yeah deffently 6 I can't be sure with 5 because that's where I started

Something I always found funny was that for how much Nemesis is considered to be the most iconic RE monster, the original RE3 is the least grossing game in the franchise.
I mean, don't get me wrong, it was a good game, but as I said it's just something I always found amusing.
Least grossing at what year because if this is of all time I can see why with the remakes being out and not being able to be played on certain console's anymore

Is he though? In my eyes, Nemesis in my eyes is just a hulking piece of meat that just says stars and that's it. Sure he has a rocket launcher, but do you honestly think they will allow that in DBD, without nerfing it to the ground? What about his tentacles you'll ask, we have Deathslinger, and what if he uses them as he does in Resistance, we have PH. Basically, the only thing he can do is bust through a wall, and that's it
I made an entire power related to nemissis and I personally think it works quite well
And personality is nice but Myers is literally just a guy with a knife that stares at you and people love him the only time he isint is when he is killing you with mori

I think Biohazard is representative of what was a dying series, I can't think of any other RE game that isn't as representative as 7, particularly with what the series was becoming so in a way Re 7 saved the franchise from going down that path
The only re game I didn't like was 6 I've played 2 and up and I'm saying nemissis is best pick with mr x as the second one

Get into cornfield, head to gen I suspect survivors spawned on and am correct find em all, two start clicking their flashlights at me and butt dancing in my face.
I leave. Get a mountain of abuse in the post game chat.
Now it doesn't upset me or hurt my sensibilities and I realise that this (in game) behaviour may not have been inherently toxic but it is immersion breaking, can mean tedious people to play against and frankly at this point is tiresome.
I know I can catch these people but I just don't want to play with them this way.
The vitriolic post game chat tells me I made the right choice, as these are not people I want to game with.
I really really enjoy this game, I often really despise its players.
That's me done for the evening find another killer to play with and enjoy the 20min survivor queues.
Yeah my nemissis idea would require simple ai so I woul like that
