Why are we running agitation or iron grasp?

You know people WILL die on hook right? Even to just deny you the achievement.

And the lockers are always an issue. Cause you cannot kill them when they are down

I feel like you didn't even read my post or maybe you just skimmed it or something? I'll restate it for you though.

You use Agi/Iron Grasp on The Game map to drop them off at the exit gate lips. They get off your shoulders and with PWYF at 3 stacks, they can no longer make it to a locker. There is also no reason to hook anyone either, not sure why you would bother. This strategy is specifically to counter locker hoppers.

I think the idea is to drag the locker-hoppers to a corner of the map and drop them. Seems like a waste to me, but hey.

    Feel free to read above.

  • Pshh, everyone always talks about 3 gens but how about these 5 gens on one side of Suffocation Pit.

    18a3d38336d31-screenshotUrl.jpg

    That's like three 3-gens.

  • Myers Mori.PNG

My above guide for a semi-consistent 4-man Mori Myers. The drop off with the 2 cars is better but either should work.

  • I doubt it considering they said it's going to be a "Big L" chapter. I would not consider FNAF to be in the same league as Alien. Jason, Pennywise, Chucky, Predator, Etc. are things I'd consider more of a Big L.

I'd also rather have Slenderman for an Indie pick but that's just personal preference.

  • While I feel ya for not being able to get the add-on you want, I can't say I feel it too much considering how strong Iri tape is. That add-on is miserable to go against. -_-

  • PS5 and I have them all done besides the shelter woods gen since I never get the damn map.

I keep up with them every chapter so it's not too bad.

  • Spasmodic Breath (60 sec of normal mov. speed after blink hit but can no longer blink) should be basekit on Nurse and that's the only nerf she needs to be okay.

It keeps her kit basically the same, all add-ons can still be used, she's still strong but now has a weakness. Other perks she couldn't use now have a reason to be used on her and she won't be complained about nearly as much.

  • As killer I'll do it the majority of the time unless I'm doing specific challenges like emblems or kills.

As survivor I see it maybe 1in10 games to give a rough estimate.

Something I have noticed is that people don't slug for the 4k as much as they used to. It used to be about every other game and now it's closer to like 1in5 maybe more. People seem to have chilled out a lot from my personal experience.

  • I'm a bit over 2k hours and I'm very hit and miss with my survivor skill. Sometimes things click and I can run the killer for multiple gens or make a big brain play. Other times I have three bad chases and die almost instantly or make a dumb game losing mistake.

I don't think I'll ever get much better then what I am now because I don't really try to learn higher level play. I just go in and do whatever to have some fun.

Game knowledge wise I try to keep up with what many of the popular perks/add-ons do to not get caught offguard.

Killer wise I don't really try all that often and generally just mess around so I'm very average to below average in that department.

So as far as mastering the game goes, I'm not even a little bit close and I don't think I'll ever be no matter the amount of hours I put in.

Being able to avoid traps set too close to windows has always been a thing, it's just that now the distance has changed. You need to force yourself to set them a bit further than you're used to until it becomes a habit and it won't be an issue anymore.

However, I'm curious because you specified "male survivor", does that mean it's different with female survivors ? If that's the case then surely something is not working properly

Yeah it seems like male survivors are bugged and go a little further.

  • Oh it's certainly possible and it doesn't have to be anything complicated. Give it a diglett-like effect for moving and a unique hooking process like Pyramid Head.

Then for a power you'd have partial stealth where you go underground but your fin sticks up. Give it a fast swim ability similar to Billy/Oni for movement and the ability to sniff out injured survivors blood for info.

    Jaws chapter done.

  • Not in any particular order

    1. Partially stalked survivors slowly recharge.
    2. Change his Tombstone Piece and the faster movement while stalking add-ons to recharge stalk rate add-ons of faster/slower
    3. When a survivor is fully stalked, Myers gets a temp X% speed boost and after X seconds the fully stalked survivor will go back to full
    4. Let him stalk multiple people at once.
    5. Allow him to stalk while in tier 3 to extend the expose timer

I feel like Sadako players might be strongly skewing ppls perception simply because alot of them are spamming her iri addon. USUALLY while holding a tape. You're shown the auras of every TV. You can make a mental note of them for future use, while also keeping an eye on the closest ones to know when Sadako is using them.

The Iri tape isn't just making you run far, but also robbing you of very helpful info. Without that addon, I can basically keep track of everywhere she teleports to.

Honestly, yeah probably. I believe every game I've played against her has been with Iri tape, comb or some other add-on, that and people dc the moment they see her so it's just me and the bots.

I don't think I've had a single "normal" game against her so it's certainly harder to judge then I'd like.

  • It seems like this is talked about a lot in other communities after giving it a google to see what the textbook definition was.

Anyway, I think examples are the best way to show how I personally view the word since people seem to use it very differently. I do think OP goes hand in hand with it but is itself different.

For me overturned is something that is a bit too much in the number/mechanic department but not necessarily strong. While OP is something that is too strong because of a number or mechanic.

As an example, let's take Wraith's blind warrior add-on that inflicts blindness for 60 seconds. Let's buff it to 10 minutes and now it would be way way overtuned but not OP. The number is simply way too high and would need to be toned down.

Now we have something like Tombstone Piece on Myers. This add-on is rather OP as it let's you kill someone for little cost. If you were to increase the stalk cost the add-on would never become overtuned, it would simply cease being OP at a certain point. You could also say the same of old Iri head.

Then we have something like 3-gen Merchant. She's not OP as it's very much a beatable strategy but is instead overtuned as it shouldn't take 30+ minutes to win for either side. You could however say her ability to make people DC is in fact OP.

New Sadoko is an example of something I would consider both overtuned and OP. Her ability to kill you for so little investment is rather OP while her teleport is overtuned since you can use it often and it gives stacks to the entire team.

Just a few examples I came up with off the top of my head and is very much opinion based.

  • If they gave you a little extra BP for it, yes.

  • I'd love to see clips of these so called juicer bots because all I've seen are bots that miss every other skillcheck, run to the corners or get stuck on random stuff. Still love and appreciate that there here though.

The only times I've seen bots sorta mess w/killers is when they try to mindgame them. They have wallhacks so playing the loop normally is the way to do it. That's more on the killer though then the bot.

  • Trapper cause he's scary~

Seriously, I get jumpscared more from him then any other killer and even in the next match I'm checking the ground for traps.

I suppose for actual dislike, prolly Nurse? I don't really have any killers I despise going against but Nurse, 3-gen merchant, and the new Sadoko are my least favorites at the moment.

  • Depends on my challenge. If I have to get kills or something then I'll down and hook them. Otherwise I'll sometimes leave them alone, hit them once and leave or slug them.

All on a whim of what I choose.

  • It seems like not all of the trophies auto-sync. I had quite a few, mostly healing that didn't and the last 3 chapter trophy sets didn't sync either.

Edit: Healing sync'd up after a while but the last 3 chapters didn't.

  • I'm pretty sure 5 minutes is the norm in most cases. When I have a internet hiccup it's usually 5 minutes, though when I get it sorted and hop on it's down to just a minute or so left.

I have had cases where I got disconnected like 4-5 times in a row because of server issues but I never got a penalty for those. Other times I've had hiccups and no penalty as well so there seems to be some kind of hidden thing there with how it detects or doesn't.

Main point though is 5 minutes isn't bad at all. If your internet dies or kicks you then by the time you get it sorted, the penalty is normally done. DCing on purpose and then getting a 5 min penalty to start is also fair IMO. Any less and it serves no point.

  • Hooks permanently breaking after a sacrifice. I'm fine with them being broken for an extended period but I don't think they should ever be permanent. All it does is force you to bleed someone out in a corner.

I hate this take. Great, the almighty "overpowered" nurse only has a power for half the chase now. Soooooo much fun. So much skill expression.

I understand the hate and very much consider it a hot take. It is fun going against though, in fact I'd say Spasmodic Breath Nurse is funner then any other type of Nurse, even a bad one.

It's kind of like a reverse Oni. You could obviously tweak the numbers so it's only like 30's and give her something small for chase but I think it'd be a great way to nerf Nurse while still keeping her kit basically the same.

As is, her power is way too strong for what little downsides it has.

  • Make Spasmodic Breath basekit.

Nurse is now nerfed and fun to play against IMO.

  • I think the penalty should stay but be lessened quite a bit. I see no good reason to have a 72hr penalty and should instead cap to a few hours or so at most.

  • I think bloodlust 1 is fine but 2&3 should go. If any infinites or near ones get made because of this then they can be fixed. I also think bloodlust should go up a percent over time instead of just a flat 5 after X seconds.

I also think MFT should prolly be toned down. You could make it 2% and then have the boon perk be 3+.

  • Winstreaks are fun to see when they get to those stupidly big numbers since you can see the dedication someone has put into it and it makes you want to root for them one way or another.

Personally, I'd love to see someone do a "pro" team only winstreak. Seeing someone with even like a 50 winstreak against the high-end tournament comp teams would be more impressive to me then the 1000 wins on Blight, which for the record is very impressive.

  • If they tunneled you out for not farming then report them. It's a bannable thing to target someone specifically for not farming.

How is someone suppose to know which survivor didn't bring a terromisu though?

If all the offering slots were used then you can tell who used what based on menu order. When you bring up the menu, the survivor order is also the offering order. You can also use this to narrow it down if only 3 offerings were used but it's a 50/50.

  • If you truly went from a 30 minute ban to a 24 hour ban then you should prolly file a report. From the way I understand it, It should go to 1 hour twice, then 6 hours twice, and then you get the 24 hour.

It'll also degrade slowly overtime so I'd try to work out your crash issue or not play for a while because the ban can go up to 72hr.

  • Sadako was the one I had for the rework portion on the survey so this was a pleasant surprise! Really interested to see how it'll play in-game.

  • He's a solid okay killer, similar to all the past anniversary killers. Clown, Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, and Dredge. Hux definitely fits in the same kind of mold of being not for everyone but some people will really really love him. He's a killer that won't be super common but probably seen now and then, similar to the others.

I personally find him fun to play once in a while but not a killer I'd play all the time. Fun to go against and the design potential is great. I'm not super in love with the base design though. Overall, I'd put him above Dredge but not by much.

This makes me excited for the next chapter though since if the pattern continues that'll be the real banger. Those killers being Spirit, Demo, Blight, Pinhead, and Wesker. They're either fairly popular or considered quite strong.

  • Spasmodic Breath should be basekit on Nurse. That's the only nerf she needs.

  • The adjusted challenges are a lot better.

700k for the current (we're at 687k as of right now), then 200k, then 100k, then 75k.

Those numbers seem a lot more doable and I imagine if we still don't hit it they might extend it by a week. I know some people were complaining of bugged challenges and that's what they did last year if memory serves.

  • 20/20

Me and buddy spent a few days working on it. Took around 35-ish games including some where we escaped but did get a door which all in all, could have been worse.

  • Generally this only happens with a farming killer at endgame. The survivors will line up on the outskirts horizontally and wave you on. Once they're lined up, swing when ready. That's about it.

  • Lightweight for survivor and I'm happy it's underrated; I hate going against it.

It's a bit RNG with how it works but I've had killers lose me in normal wall loops. If you get lucky, your scratch marks can just disappear for like 3-4 seconds. Really noticeable on indoor maps if you get good RNG with it. Not sure how well it'll work with the scratchmark changes though.

  • Buff: Myers. No explanation needed. Trapper is a solid 2nd.

Nerf: Nurse. It's a hot take but I think spasmodic breath should be basekit and that would be the only nerf she needs. As far as Blight goes I think his general power is fine, just the add-ons need touching up.

Rework: Sadako. Her condemn ability just seems to be in a weird spot. It's kind of weak outside of the slug playstyle but it's also hard to buff without making it too strong. I think it should be reworked a bit.

Edit: I noticed a lot of people didn't get the question which is interesting. Makes me wonder what you had to choose to get it to show up? For the record, it did show up for me.

  • As killer, I find it fun messing around and not taking things overly serious. I love to meme around when the opportunities present themselves. Like, giving nodders to a survivor when they're a floor up out of reach, that sort of stuff.

I do enjoy some minor taunting as well, like carrying a survivor to the Devour totem before Mori-ing them.

Sweaty games are fine once in a while but I have a lot more fun playing it casual. In fact, a lot of my games I let people go because they do something silly or dumb that made me laugh.

One of my favorite things is when survivors trade items for something, usually their lives. That's probably one of the best interactions on both sides for me. They drop an item and you just look at it, deciding if it was a worthy trade. I've also had games as killer and survivor both where an item hoard was made. When Appraisal first came out, I had a lot of games with like 10+ items just on the floor next to each other. That's the sort of stuff I love in DBD.

Granted, if things like that were every game I'd probably get sick of it but because it's so rare for both sides to meme, it makes it all that more special. Even without those things, I do enjoy playing the game normally as well. I'm a bit of a trophy hunter so I enjoy trying to keep DBD at 100% completion. Though some of the achievements are pretty awful to do, Outbreak Breakout was really bad. -_-

As survivor, I normally play in a 2-man and most of my fun comes from simple chit-chat and playing with a friend. Whether we win, lose, sweat or goof around it's all fun as we work on challenges and trophies. Neither of us take the game overly serious so whatever happens in the match is fine. Even when we do get salty it never goes from one match to another. We treat the game as a game and have a good time with it. We're both sitting at a bit over 2k hours and will probably play DBD till it's end.

  • I've played a few matches against him now and it feels pretty fair IMO. I was still getting EMP's a lot but not nearly as much as before and he's pretty fun in chase depending on the map. I quite enjoy playing him and going against him.

Some maps favor him a bit too much and others too little but overall I think Hux is in a great spot. I wouldn't consider him OP at all.

  • As for the original puzzle, in the icons folder there is another folder called Misc with a picture called Anniversary_Hidden. Nothing else that I can see.

Dang I don't know if I did something wrong with those characters, but says video isn't availible anymore, hopefully I just did it wrong cuz thatd be lame

Taking 3 steps back is the clue to solve it. The video is below though. ^_^

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼
  • This one.

    eq2dqdwomm7b1.jpg

Thrawn also post another one above. I didn't know there was so many puzzles. I wonder if there was more then just those three?

  • No idea for that one. There was another puzzle that was solved that led to a youtube video.

  • I did it by exposing survivors. I think the enduring one only counts if you get stunned by a pallet. Didn't try the others.

  • @Mockingjay_S451 said:

So to the people who are playing these killers to farm the most bloodpoints, are you putting points back into these characters so you can share the Terrormisu love with the survivors? Or are you just going in with a survivor pudding, reaping all the combined points of others and then putting all the points and anniversary offerings on your mains to hoard them?

I always share the love. 2-hook everyone and then just mess around and farm unless they don't want to. I got 240k BP in the match below and have been getting around the same in most matches. I love events 😁

    Screenshot_2023.06.22_17.57.27.719.png

  • Hux is pretty good because of the built in Brutality to break pallets and hit but you also have to run Distressing if you want a chance at maxing deviousness. You get way too little to max out in a normal game unless you're farming it at the end.

Legion can max everything semi-consistently without using any BP perks so he only ever worries about sacrifice. Hux is stronger then Legion so it's easier to get sacrifice so I'd say it depends on how you're doing your BP farming.

If you're going for pure speed, I think Legion is better since it's much easier to max everything and only care about sacrifice when you can, even more so with a BP build. If you're still trying to win all your matches then Hux is better since he's stronger.

Another plus for Legion is that they're very simple to use so you can just turn your brain off; this also makes them great for beginners. Hux needs more concentration and knowledge to play.

They're both great BP farmers though, same with Doc and some others. I think the most important thing is using a killer your comfortable with and is fun to play to make BP farming less tedious.

  • That's been a thing since the beginning of the game. Once you hit a certain skill level, you stop caring about being injured and instead focus on gens, sometimes even running a build around it.

Most of the time, it's just not efficient to heal before doing a gen, even more so against certain killers like say Legion. Of course, it's also very situational.

I've lost games because no one healed when we had the chance and I've lost games from a healing loop. There's no real right or wrong there and it depends entirely on what's happening in the match.

  • Getting a skill check when leaving a gen is definitely something that annoys me more then anything else in the game. I can agree with ya there.

Another one is if I'm being facecamped, a survivor comes over and just sits there the entire time I'm on hook. I'm fine with someone coming to check out what's going on, maybe plan out something or even 1for1 or die trying but it bugs the hell out of me when they sit there for the entire time and do nothing. Commit one way or the other damnit.

One time I had two survivors sitting there, watching the killer watch me from 1st state all the way to death when there was only 2-gens left. I tell myself they must have been doing one of those be next to the killer undetected for X seconds challenge because it makes no sense otherwise when they had plenty of time to get out.

I used to get annoyed about other little things here and there but I've chilled out a lot over the years and not too much bothers me anymore. Even when I do get annoyed it rarely if ever sticks with me outside of the above.

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 32
