  • I didn't know skill checks made noise for quite a while. I never payed attention to the bing so I was always on edge for skill checks.

I also thought you had to have a medkit to heal teammates which led to some very angry people I'm sure.

He is literally like a perma tier 3 myers, but you get a speed boost he can just match if he wants. Good legions will bodyblock you during the unfrenzy animation.

Billy is super easy as well, but at least you can dodge the chainsaw if you telegraph your moves and then make a juke.

Legion has no counterplay for the first hit. You have to bait him, which is a massive outplay, because he can just vault over pallets or window straight after you for it.

You are injured the second he sees you, or when he sees your team and you are nearby.

Then you throw on spirit fury / enduring , which is another borderline uncounterable perk set, and then brag you get kills with it?

I'm not bragging I'm getting kills. I'm saying Legion brings out survivors stupidity more than other killers and I'm having fun because of it. By all rights, I should not be winning all the games I have been. Survivors tend to do really stupid things when they go against Legion and it's pretty funny to watch.

Bodyblocking with Legion is very similar to Wraith Bodyblocking. Unless you're caught out in the open you can sometimes get to a window or the other side of the pallet as a survivor. If it's an unsafe pallet then you're dead anyway no matter what had happened. If you drop the pallet and he vaults over and cancels then just run around to the other side, you get plenty of time with the stun. You know what most people do though? They try to revault the pallet and just stand in your face or they just run in circles before going down. Hilarious to watch but definitely not the play.

Again, he does get easy early hits and then what? It's like going against Plague, don't overly heal and do gens and he's going to get destroyed because he is very loopable. Not only that but as long as the team stays apart like they should anyway, he'll never get more than one hit with his power in the first place. Heck even if you're in range, just running in a straight line away from him can get him to use all of his frenzy without getting a hit off. You know what most people tend to do though? They group up allowing easy chain hits, try to hide in bushes or lockers, and mend in your face or out in the open letting you get easy downs. All very bad ideas.

Spirit Fury/Enduring being borderline impossible to counter in what world? It's good for one surprise attack and then after you just drop pallets slightly earlier. The Perk combo is now dead to rights.

We seem to have very different opinions here on Legion. I think he's weak but fun while you think he's strong and braindead. I'm willing to debate more on this but it might be better for us to just agree to disagree as I don't think were going to find any common ground in each others opinions.

I just want to point out how braindead and easy it is. There's plenty of other killers who are much worse, but keep playing legion.

So what's your complaint then? He's OP? Normally when people complain a killer is braindead and easy it's about Billy. You get early hits with Legion and some map awareness and after that he's no different from any other standard killer. He can be looped for days and Spirit Fury is easily countered by dropping the pallet earlier.

Legion is not that great a killer but he is good at making people mad and getting them to screw up more than normal.

  • @Shocktober said:

Wow, you get a free hit with legion and then a free down with spirit fury? F tier killer, injuring the entire survivor team in the first 30 seconds of the game is terrible.

It's comments like this that make me love playing him all that much more. <3

  • I think the only challenges I farmed were the get 6 traps one because he's my least favorite killer to play and I got sick of it after around 6 attempts of getting 5 traps. I also farmed the triple blink and get a grab trophy because no thank you. I think that's it as far those things go. I normally try to do all the challenges and trophies in the way they're meant to be done though I will take shortcuts if they present themselves like trapping an AFK person over and over for example.

I'm a sucker for survivors that do something cute or just give up. If a survivor does something that makes me laugh I'll probably give them hatch or maybe farm depending on how the game went. If survivors just give up then I'll farm unless I'm doing a challenge/daily or I'm feeling sweaty.

I'll farm if there is an early DC or AFK person. Well, I'll backpack the AFK guy around and try to down the other people.

I'll also farm if they drop their items or just walk up to me and stare. I rarely take this game seriously so I'm very quick to drop normal gameplay and just mess around if another survivor starts to mess around as well.

I will say though that I would only farm twice in a row and not more unless it's extreme circumstances. I had three games in a row where the survivors either had an early DC or an AFK all game and the third one I just didn't feel like farming again. I didn't go super try hard but I did play rather normally.

And thats 175 is what is not okay, let's Say you play like 4 matches a hour, so basicly he needs to spend 44 h to game in a week to complete a rift, and he was still playing before. Devs forget dbd is not the only game people play, and Its really borning to experience the same thing and encounter the same killers because of archives. Also I believe most people who already completed 70 tiers before 4th part already play dbd min 4-5h a day. So its easy for them rift is alright.

Sure, that's a lot of time to play in one week but it's not a lot over the course of 70 days which is my point. If he had played even one more game or kept track of his tier progress better then he would be in better shape with a lot less games needed.

This is a commitment no doubt and a lot of casual players won't be able to finish it but for people who do want to do it, I think it's pretty fair.

  • I think the rift is fine simply because it's meant to be done over the entire period. At level 57 that means you have 13 more tiers or around 175 games or so. This would have been about 2-3 games extra everyday or when you have free time you would have been able to catch up on some of them. Sure, having to do 13 tiers all in a few days would be (is) devastating but if you had spread it out over the entire time limit it would have been a lot more doable. In the first tome I had 20 tiers left after finishing everything and struggled to do it. This time around I just tried to play a couple games here and there everyday and I'm at 69 now with a lots of time to spare.

I think it's very fair actually as long as you properly spread it out through the 70 day period. Most games are around 10 minutes so even if you did 1 game extra a day that number would have gone down a lot.

As it is now, I don't think it needs changing.

Lol most TTVs have a problem with everything. I wonder why, its not like having TTV is like a sign saying, "please tunnel and embarass me in front of my viewers" or anything

I mean, I've had both good and bad experiences with them not doubt but it just seems like all of my bad experiences with them happen when I'm playing Legion. I just find it super strange he can still cause such chaos even after all his changes.

  • @Deadeye said:

I also noticed once that the wiggle bar regresses during the carrying, but at a rate like the Oni's passive power build up. It is so hilariously useless XD

But don't worry, it took me about a year to notice that the sound at the beginning of a chase only comes when you chase your obsession. And that it tells you "This is your obsession" XD

    I actually also only learned the Obsession thing like 2 months ago or so. I think I might just be bad at picking up on the subtle(ish) things in the game. ^^;

Heck, I didn't even notice skill checks made noise for my first couple weeks of playing the game so I was basically playing with 5 stack lullaby every game, lol.

  • I personally go Myers. I like playing him more than Plague and Save the Best for Last is a pretty good perk on everyone. Infectious is nice on some killers and Corrupt is also not bad so I don't think you'd go wrong with either of them.

Been playing for 4 years, (since beta) learned that the wiggle bar regresses around the iron grasp and agitation meta

So it's been around a while huh. That's so strange I've never come across it besides now. I noticed it after having a game and getting slugged after being picked up once and I thought it was a bug tbh. My buddy didn't know about it and the killer in the game when I asked him didn't know either.

    Thanks for answering. ^_^

  • Filing a police report won't really do anything in this situation. If it was a message on the after game screen, report it then follow up using the DBD support system after taking some screenshots/video.

If this was on console, report the message itself and PS4 or Xbox should take care of it.

  • I don't really hate going against any killers but there are definitely some I have more fun with. These are not in order as I'm really not sure for most of them.

    Annoying

Trapper: Definitely my least favorite. I'm just awful going against him and he can have traps right out in the open and I will be stepping on all of them.

Clown: I also just can't do well against him no matter how I play and it tends to annoy me because I know I can do better. I just see the clown and I'm already going "Welp, I'm going to mess up."

Freddy: I don't mind Freddy with a team that can try to play. With normal people you get in solo sometimes he is just awful. He has a lot going for him and you can't mess around much against a good Freddy.

Spirit: Same as Freddy. When you face a good one, you can not afford to mess around too much and you better hope your team is doing something.

    Neutral

Ghostface: On ps4 it seems like every Ghostface is laggy and can hit through windows a mile away. They also tend to teleport while looping and it ruins my enjoyment of the killer. When I face one that has a good connection then I enjoy it but as 90% of the GF I go against seem to have bad connections I get meh when I see one.

Myers: Myers is a weird one. I do have fun with him but other times I don't. I'm not really sure why and it's more in the moment.

Hag: Very close to being annoying. If my team is dumb, then definitely on the annoying side. She's so rare to see though that I actually get a bit happy sometimes when one shows up.

Doctor: Don't mind him besides the frame drops on console.

Wraith: Love playing as him, meh going against him.

Bubba: If he's campy then boo but if he plays normal then yay!

Oni: I enjoy him sometimes, I just don't want him a lot in one gaming session. Goes for any killer really.

Deathslinger: Not really much of an opinion on him yet.

Plague: Just meh. I have fun in some games against her but I'm never excited, I'm more like "Oh, it's a Plague. Neat."

    Fun

Nurse: Ton of fun to go against on ps4, good or bad. There's like 2-3 really good nurses I've seen and they're so much fun to try and juke.

Pig: Very close to neutral. If she's campy then extreme meh on her but otherwise, I enjoy going against her and I don't mind the traps. Booping the Snoot is also fantastic.

Billy: I have a lot of fun trying to dodge his chainsaw and the games are normally pretty hectic which is great. He can be annoying at times but for the most part I enjoy going against him.

Huntress: Same as Billy. Good Huntress's are fun to try and juke out.

Legion: Most hate him but I actually have a lot of fun getting chased and looping Legion.

Demogorgon: Favorite killer to go against by far. He's got a little of everything going without being overkill. Good Demo's can end you quick and it's fun to try and fake them out. I also think he's the most balanced killer in the game and it leads to fun as against a good Demo, games can seem like they'll go either way.

  • I've done this so many times to people on accident that my buddy says I have a built in bond. It always happens to be him 90% of the time as well which is pretty funny.

Running Bond, Spine Chill, or even Empathy can help you run away sooner if you notice them coming. Quick and Quiet to fast vault in a locker before they get there, Sprint Burst to run away if they catch you off guard.

  • Seems like the Meg didn't have a great connection. When he lunges at her, she ends up moving just as fast as he does and when she vaults the window you see her reappear for a split second. At the beginning she also takes off pretty fast randomly from the car to the street.

Not saying this game isn't buggy and that the stalk issue on dedicated isn't a problem but this seems more an issue with that Meg.

  • Here's a little list of some random meme games.

Chest Protector: Guard basement chest, only attack if they try and open the chest. If you down someone take them out of the basement. You can attack other people if they come down while carrying someone else.

Stay off my Lawn: Go to strode house or the killer shack and chase people off if they come into your territory. You can't leave your lawn. Just sit on the porch and watch people.

Conga Line Trapper: Get all traps and place them in a line. Then you can play normally.

Shy Ghostface: Just run away from survivors when they notice you. Try and stalk them without giving yourself away

Redlight Greenlight: You can only chase them when they don't look at you. If they turn their head you have to stop until they get behind cover. No moonwalking.

AFK Wraith: Have insidious/distressing and beast add-ons. Just hide and mess with people, can wait in front of exit gates with noed.

Insidious Nurse: Wait on other side of exit gates using Nurse with Noed/Insidious.

50/50 Pig: Use proper add-ons and then bodyblock a box.

Mad Grit Backpacking: Can only hook someone after downing someone else while backpacking a survivor.

Item Hunter: Use Franklins and trap/camp items.

Never-Ending T-Bag: Goes around as Ghostface and play normally but never stop t-bagging.

Totem Protector: Have all hexe perks with one of them being thrill and do your best to protect them all.

  • Beach DLC!!

Are people getting sick of the monotony? Let's throw modestly dressed survivors and a speedo Clown at everyone!

Honestly though, Crossplay and the Matchmaking change before anything else. Let's get those first so population is increased for everyone and people are in proper(er) playing situations and then from there others things can get added.

I think some kind of 2ndary objective would be fun but I have no idea what. I don't like the idea of having to grab special tools before you can do gens which I see people throwing around now and then.

I think some kind of early game stall would also be nice. Very minimal of course.

Various customizations besides hook/pants ornaments would be great. Things like a different basement appearance or gen appearance, etc.

  • If we're talking everything and not just entire chapters, I'd say Ash is the worst dlc to come out.

All of his perks are awful except one which got nerfed hard soon after release.

As far as chapters go, I guess the Legion one? I never really had too many issues with them but I also didn't play them all that much and I do like Jeff and some the perks for the Killer/Survivor.

  • Watch how they play is the biggest one.

Some doctors over zap which will let you get a lot more rounds on a loop because they'll just be zapping you all the time.

Some will never zap which means you can play the loop normally. Run around it a few times and drop the pallet.

The ones that only zap perfectly are most dangerous and I play them similar to huntress and just drop pallets early or you're going to get hit. If their aim isn't perfect you can dodge away from the loop to avoid the blast and then run in to drop the pallet. The doctor can't swing instantly after shocking so you do get a very little bit of time.

Edit: For snapping out of it, if you're having a hard time doing it because of the impossible skill check build (or in general) you can just tap the button over and over and you'll never get a skill check similar to how old ruin was. It takes longer but is guaranteed.

Well the Devs said themselves that if a killer locks down 3 gen for 10 minutes when 1 generator is left, it's considered bannable. Which honestly is like what?

    Completely dumb imo

Do you have a screenshot or a link to this? I've seen a lot of people bring up the 10-min lockdown is a ban but I've never actually seen the vid or screenshot where they say this.

They did something that was ban worthy, which you are either not telling us, or they didn't tell you. It's as simple as that. The devs require an act of recorded murder with a confession, and a pinky swear that they ACTUALLY meant to do the bad thing, before they will even consider banning.

Honestly, the thought has crossed my mind and I'd probably be more inclined to believe if OP didn't have as many posts and going through their history they don't "seem" the type. Most people when they do things like this it's on some alt account or they have a history. There's definitely something more going on here no doubt but I'm hoping OP isn't just leading us on for the giggles. :/

  • @Chatkovski said:

By playing this way, it is possible that survivors never meet the killer, or rarely meet him. They fix generators, maybe run into the killer once, go fix other generators, open the doors, and go out.

From their point of view, it's like a killer refusing to play.

The objective of the survivors is to escape, not to enter a house guarded by a killer. And the killer's goal is to slow down the repair of the generators, to hunt and kill the survivors, not to defend a house.

This could be an idea for a new game mode, but today DBD is not made for it.

Sure which is perfectly fine if you don't like it. Meme games are meant as a way to have a little fun from the monotony of search map, chase people, finish game. It can be a good stress reliever to just mess around as well after a super sweaty match.

If the group of survivors don't want to meme which is perfectly reasonable then they can do gens and leave or the killer can realize this and start playing normally. This has only ever been an issue if someone is being targeted which I think is the case here, though not intentional. It's like Farming, it's allowed as long you don't only target someone who doesn't want to do it. The same would certainly apply to meme games.

  • @dbd_noob said:

    Thank you!

    No problem. ^_^

  • It means you have a bad connection to the server you're playing in and may experience issues.

    Untitled Image

Edit: In your case it was likely just a hiccup in the connection either from your internet or the server in general.

  • I think in this situation, he was banned more for targeting a player then the meme game itself or at least that seems like how it was put.

Kind of like if you go to farm in a match and one person doesn't want to farm so you kill them and let the others go which is a bannable offense. In this case depending on how the video looks, it might appear like he was specifically targeting that one person only to let the others go.

Seeing as to my knowledge this is the only instance ever of a meme game ban even with the tons and tons of youtube videos of such things, the report must have been pretty detailed and the video must have seemed like your friend targeted that guy out of malice.

I have no intention myself of stopping meme games even if the devs announce they're all bannable but as a note for when I do them, I never hook or kill the players unless it's something where I can move freely and get everybody. I've done basement protector and get off my lawn games but I always leave the person slugged or I just pick them up and drop them elsewhere. I'm not saying this ban is right, far from it but unless we could see the video which isn't possible, from an outside perspective it could appear to be player targeting which would be just bad luck for your friend. 😕

Wouldn't spine chill be better than iron will? You already have self care to heal when injured.

Depends on how you play. Spine Chill can let you hide sooner to avoid more chases while Iron Will can let you hide mid chase or while injured before you have a chance to Self Care.

If you're a more "aggressive" Blendette then I'd choose Iron Will. If you want the pure immersive build then yeah I'd switch out Iron Will or even Sprint Burst for Spine Chill.

Edit: I think Sprint Burst would actually be the better choice to remove for Spine Chill if you plan to go full Immersion. So Iron Will, Spine Chill, Self Care, and Urban.

  • Iron Will, Sprint Burst, Urban, and Self Care.

Urban to sneak with Sprint Burst if you're found. Iron Will for if you're hit and Self Care as you can't legally be considered a Blendette if you're not self caring in a corner.

Corrupt, and... that's it, really. The only one that deters the M1 button strong enough is the one that prevents M1 entirely.

The simple fact that there are 4 Survivors and 1 Killer means that unless you play someone with high map pressure like Oni, Demo, or Billy, they can collectively curbstomp any and all of your gen slowdown as soon as you take half a second too long to find and down someone.

I don't really thing corrupt is much better in that regard though? You either just hide the entire time rendering the perk useless or you just go to gens that aren't blocked while someone gets chased. It's true you have less gens to patrol in early game but you can't be in 4 places at once and gens will still get done just as fast unless the survivors aren't doing anything for the 2 minutes.

I'm just not seeing how you can consider it good and the others bad when it has just as much counterplay and can be completely denied like the others.

  • @Demogordon_Ramsay said:

So a useless Perk is slightly better than another useless Perk. Wow.

Pop won't extend the game to any decent time if the Survivors just hold M1, so I'd rather bring a Perk that lets me have fun in those 3 minutes instead of extending those 3 minutes to 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Out of curiosity, if you consider Pop to be a useless perk, what perks in the game do you consider not useless?

  • @Mandy said:

With regards to the mori spamming @NMCKE is quite correct, that it is still bannable as it's griefing @bobcat946732 .

Slugging is not something we ban for, especially as there's been the recent challenges to down survivors etc. There's options for the survivors, if the killer is waiting by the survivor to down them and their rescuer - then go work on a gen for example, And as the survivor does bleedout within 4 minutes of being downed, it doesn't hold the game hostage.

Okay, thank you very much for the explanation. ^_^

  • @NMCKE said:

@Gay Myers (Luzi) is a Community Coordinator, not just a moderator.

She knows a lot more than what a moderator would know, I'd assume.

Anyways, slugging can become bannable if done to extend the game to a point where survivors have to DC to move on to the next game. If you're making survivors DC because you're wasting their time, that's considered griefing and unsportsmanlike behavior. Imagine the killer told you (s)he will bodyblock you for 30 minutes, of course you're not going to wait 30 minutes so you can leave the game and report him. You're likely going to DC once you find out that the killer is serious about wasting 30 minutes of your time and report them.

I'll wait for their response on the Mori thing then. ^_^

Back to sluggin, let me put my point in another way since I'm not saying this quite how I'd like. You can report in game for Harassment, Griefing/Gameplay Abuse/Trolling, Exploits, and Unsportsmanlike at the endgame screen. These reports will do nothing however unless one follows up with evidence in the proper channel where it will then be determined if it breaks the rules of DBD.

Point being what do the Devs consider as Griefing or to be more precise holding the game hostage to mean? Sure you and me could agree that if a killer can slug a game out for 30 minutes then it would probably be griefing. Would the devs consider it griefing though? I've only ever seen the devs talk about holding the game hostage in body-blocking scenarios where the survivor has no choice but to dc or the game goes on forever. That is not the case in the 30 minute game, it's drawn out for sure but the game does eventually end.

Plenty of people consider normal slugging, camping, tunneling, t-baging, etc as Griefing/Unsportsmanlike things worth reporting but the devs themselves do not. I'm just wondering if the 30 minute slugfest or even OP's situation would fall under that same category.

  • @NMCKE said:

Mori spamming is bannable if done for prolong periods of time.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/216/1L3BGJM6WWRS.png

If you're slugging people and the game lasts half an hour, then yes, it's considered griefing because any killer who does this is trying to waste as much time as possible. The game shouldn't last longer than half a hour, that's ridiculous! 😁

Fair enough for the Mori spam one though that is a Mod reply and not a Dev. I'm not saying you or them are wrong but I'd feel more satisfied with a Dev directly stating it.

As for Slugging I disagree. I just don't see anyway a Killer could slug that long unless it's a ring around the rosy situation with only 1 slug at a time and no one else is ever doing anything. Time limits are also always brought up by people and while I agree that 30 minutes is a long time and shouldn't ever happen, where do they say such a thing is bannable?

Holding the Game hostage can mean different things to different people and it really should be expanded upon.

  • @NMCKE said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1169979#Comment_1169979

I think either OP was slugged for 4 minutes or it was a drawn out game where survivors traded downs.

Depending on the killers intentions, it could be reported, there's a lot of ifs involved.

I'm almost positive you can't report for any kind of slugging even if they do it on purpose to waste your time. Downing everyone and then letting them all bleed out is only morally wrong as far as I'm aware. Heck, I think even if you constantly pick someone up, drop them, down them again and rinse and repeat isn't bannable as EGC will kill you eventually or you'll find hatch if the killer hasn't closed it yet.

Mori canceling might not be bannable anymore because the timer goes down now. They just seem to be adamant that as long as the game will end it's a-ok. Especially since proving the killers intentions can be rather difficult as well.

The biggest situations I can think of for game stall banning (besides body-blocking which might not be accepted anymore due to EGC) is when survivors play hide and seek and when a killer 3-gens against 2 people for a stupid amount of time. I don't think the Devs have ever been public about any of these specific situations and whether or not they're fine which is where so much confusion comes in.

I wish they'd make an updated list of what is bannable and what's not with more specific guidelines.

  • You don't as far as I'm aware. The props doesn't do anything as of right now either. There were plans to use it as a sort of reward system for people who had a lot of props but I don't know if they're ever going to do anything with that.

Same with reports. If the report goes through then you know as you'll be temp-banned or warned but if it's just people being silly then it'll get dismissed and you'll never know you've been reported.

  • Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one on ps4 who doesn't have issues playing killer. Like, yeah I'll lose games now and then but I win the majority of my matches. Some games are tough and gens can go by super quick but I just power on through and I do alright.

  • I have the platinum but I'm not bothering with the 100% as of right now. Maybe the urge will strike me some day but I'm pretty happy just having the plat.

I wonder fi you can bodyblock when not outside of a pallet but in the middle?

Kind of? It's more of a sweet spot. If you're too far in they can get the prompt but it doesn't seem like you have to be super far out either. I tend to line myself up with the edge of the pallet and it normally works fine to block. I'm not sure what the exact location is where they're finally able to get the prompt.

Your collision box changes as you change your direction(i mean the direction you looking into). No?

I don't think that's the case. Killers have a pill shaped hitbox so it should stay the same size no matter if you're standing still or moving.

  • Um there is? Just press your run button and they'll stop healing you.

  • It's because you're only using your power to reel them in and then hitting them with a basic attack after. The swing he does after a survivor gets close enough is your standard attack. If you damage them by letting them break out themselves, that counts as a power attack and is a different animation similar to Pig and Legion also having different animations for their power attacks.

  • What Fibijean said. As killer it was pretty fun because you could switch targets or get grabs really easily without much worry.

As Survivor it was rather annoying because unless you're on comms with the entire team or running Spine Chill, she could potentially grab you at any time you were on a gen. There was very little counterplay to it and after the first few times you get jumped scared it just became annoying.

  • That's what I call a nice little outfit. 😀

There was a fan outfit I saw where he was wearing a toga which was pretty cool. There was another one where he was bald which looked good as well.

I haven't really looked at too many fan outfits but Adam seems to have a lot of nice ones.

  • As others have said, T-bagging at the exit gates is a straight up haha you can't get me taunt. No idea how one could consider it not a taunt. There are certainly times you can t-bag at the killer in a communication like way but yeah, t-bagging at the exits is a straight up you suck at the game and can't get me taunt. Personally it doesn't bother me when people do it because why would it?

Making a list though? That just seems overly vindictive on their part.

  • As survivor I almost always do the same little things every game. I'll t-bag other people when we meet or they heal me, if a gen gets blown up I'll stop and just stare at the person, nodding sometimes which gets them to stare back once in a while which is pretty funny. Little things like that make me smile when playing survivor.

A funny example being on the game map, I spawned in next to a guy and he went to do a dull totem so I nodded at him and I started to protect him as if it was a lit one. He finished it and started t-bagging me and we just started crouching in a circle nodding and pointing. My buddy comes over and joins us and then so does the last person. At this point we're all just nodding at each other doing circles and the killer comes up and sees us and just stops. We all stare at her and she just kind of does a double take and then we all just start walking circles around her which led to us just farming and messing around. All of that from me protecting a guy doing a dull because I thought it'd be funny.

As Killer, I'll just meme around now then using one of the various Killer games. Right now it's been the never-ending t-bag Ghostface which has been pretty fun. Lord have mercy if you don't struggle as I'll start backpacking you for the rest of the game even if it means I lose; assuming I wasn't feeling the sweat at least. Backpacking is one of my favorite things to do in this game.

  • There's nothing wrong with linking videos and that's not peoples issue here, to a degree.

The issue is that people love to pick one game out of many showing a streamer having a hard time and then use that to call balance into question even though said streamer will still win a majority of their games.

It makes it look like you're mad the streamer was unable to steamroll people like normal and then when they get a 4k anyway it makes it even worse.

It's not your intention by any means but that's just how it comes off and it can annoy people. Streamer wins 75 games out of 100, streamer ties in 24 more games, streamer loses 1 game or has a really really hard time so people pick that one game and then complain about it.

It just makes one roll their eyes because balance talk, early game changes and other things like that are great and interesting subjects to discuss. Showing a streamer having to work slightly harder for that 4k and using that to call balance into question and then argue for early game changes is not. There are just way too many uncontrolled variables in such an example to be of any significant use.

If you wanted to share a video and talk about early game changes, you would have been better off showing a video of a streamer directly talking about early game changes and various things that could be done to switch things up. It would have likely been a lot more effective and got people to talk more on the subject you wanted instead of just about the streamer.

Yeah we are in the process of doing that now, because I play with them in all their survivor games they don't do anything punishable ever; and when they play killer they don't mori spam or hold a game hostage. They are the kind of person that if like, they see a teammate sandbagging the team they will tunnel that person and let everyone else go, they are not an exploiter by any stretch of the imagination. This is the only thing they have done they could think of.

They opened a ticket with support and asked if that was the case, support just responded with a copy and paste response saying it was for "Griefing and exploiting game mechanics" and they don't do anything that is exploiting.

They are trying to get a reply back with more info still because like, if they DID do something they would happily stop, but they don't even know what it was- all they did that anyone even said they would report them for were the meme games.

I can update if we get more info, but the last response we had when they asked if it was the meme games or not was that copy/paste explanation. If we hear anything different back I'll update the thread; but currently it looks like they are punishing the odd meme game if people make a big enough fuss over you doing it.

The only other thing I could think of is maybe he got mass reported and it was an automated thing, that or he's just really really really unlucky. I mean, even straight up farming isn't bannable and that's the complete opposite of playing the game. Very very strange.

Edit: Okay, just saw your update post. That makes a lot more sense. Sorry he got banned for it but at least the meme thing has been solved.

  • Slugging is probably at its strongest when you have an instadown/fast moving killer and can chain downs using something like Infectious. Killers like Oni, Billy, Spirit, Nurse, and Doctor can slug really well if they have a build around it. Doctor seemingly being the odd man but because of tier 3 madness, ppl can't pick up slugs until snapping out of it which can work really well if the person your chasing is the one trying to pick up the slug.

Slugging just to slug will have very mixed results depending on the survivors and what they do.

Slugging when you see someone else nearby can be 50/50 depending on whether or not you can down or injure them quick. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

if you hold a 3 gen hostage as a killer for more than 10, i believe that is bannable

I think that one is more a gray area and depends on whether or not the killer intends to kill everybody. It's all about intent and sometimes you just end up in a stalemate with a lot of back and forth which I don't think should be bannable. A Doctor with a 3-gen and two people left and only shocks them to keep them in tier 3, kicking gens to keep them from being done but never attacks, that I could see being bannable.

  • I feel like there is more going on here then what we know. People do meme games all the time on both sides and I've never heard of someone getting banned for it. Youtubers/Streamers have a ton of videos of them doing such things as well and aren't banned so I'm definitely thinking something else is going on.

First off did he get banned from just DBD or on whatever platform he's on? It's also possible he did do something in the game that could have been considered an exploit? Without seeing the game it's hard to say.

Honestly, unless they changed their policy recently, I find it very hard to believe it's as simple as "I played a meme game and got banned". If I was your friend I'd have him try and dispute it and get more details to why he got banned.

Outstanding. An actual comment not crying about being a killer? 🤯 my mind is blown. Killers are OP as hell. One shots and Mori’s are OP because we can’t one shot or Mori a gen in return can we? Nah. Gen speed just got nerfed due to toolboxes and plenty of killer buffs. If I see anymore I might just stop playing as a solo survivor. I’m also asking for refunds from Microsoft for the micro transactions 😂 fraudulent purchases I believe 🤘🏼 I don’t want to fund a game where killer reigns supreme and crys when he can’t get consistently get his 4Ks. From a solo perspective I see that happening often. Killers don’t need Mori’s. They don’t need insta kills of any kind just as we don’t need toolboxes that are actually useful anymore right? Right.

Once again, keep on topic. You are adding nothing to the discussion and at this point it's becoming more akin to spam since you're saying the same spiel in multiple threads.

  • I don't think it's "bad" on Leatherface because his instadown requires survivors be in a bad position or he's running PWYF/Nemesis so he can catch up really quick. On most maps if the survivors know what they're doing, it can be hard to use your chainsaw for anything other than breaking pallets which makes his instadown pretty bad.

His instadown is at its most powerful by defending hooks or camping. Not so much in the 1v1 chase.

Either way, I think Noed is fine even if you do use it on a better killer. It's a strong perk that has lots of counter and I don't care if you're a god tier killer, you'll have games where all the gens get done. I personally don't use the perk unless I have nothing else or I'm doing a daily and want an easier time but I have no qualms towards people who use it all the time.
