  • Devs should not have removed the cooldown of this perk. No one used it when the 20sec cooldown was on this perk… Nobody except me perhaps…

Me? I'm not out here confusing breakable walls with pallets, that's just a you problem I think.

Yes ofc, I'm just the problem but I never beg a change for this since 2019 when I've started to use it (I don't use it anymore for some reasons).
During the Event with the trash pallets, you can easily confuse a solid one with a trash one 'cause their auras have the same yellow colour (WoO was useless during this event). On Ormond Resort, you can confuse a pallet & a breakable wall (when you are in the main & you look up) and in the Gideon Meat Plant you can make a wrong pathing when you are relying too much over the yellow indication (because you can often go in a dead end expecting to reach the next pallet behind a close way or something).
But yes, I MUST BE the problem nvm…

  • Any Shadow Play or Nvidia Experience installed ?
    DirectX 11 or forced DX10 ?
Can you see your CPU usage ?
What are your graphical settings ?

  • Always funny to read duplicated thread about the same complain over & over. Why does anybody a search on this forum ?
As a killer can deal with a pallet predropper, he (you) can deal with a WoO user without to beg for a nerf…
Fact is: WoO avoid the survivor 'to loop' in a dead zone and as Alert & Empathy do, this perk gives you more info about the actual chase, where are the dropped pallet & where are located the survivor/killer in chase…
And sometimes you - as survivor - can confuse a breakable wall with a pallet… So WoO don't have only good aspects…

  • Nice capture. Thanks.

The window on Rancid Abattoir has a breakable doorway very close to it, and the tile spawns on that map can be complete garbage.

Perhaps you are right about the garbage tile spawns on that map but… I insist: in the main building, whatever the breakable doorway near the windows (center room with the gen), you can see some bots can run very well from the window, go out by the big entry & vaults the window again. Following him, time to make this short race, killer lose his Bloodlust T.1, the window will never blocked by the Entity and if the killer can't use his power in the good time, I'm not sure he can reach the survivor…
To confirm that, a player did the same thing in a public match. He could even take it in slow vault…

So I don't know, maybe I tryhard when I shouldn't, or I just should leave this chase. Or I miss something… But for me, it was the perfectly meaning of 'Infinite Window' and the breakable wall near the window is just a bait 'cause I perfectly remember 'how was' this main building in the first version & I understand the nightmare it was for killers.
I remember it perfectly now !

  • Any video record ?
    But yes.
Same thing in the main building on Rancid Abattoir - Coldwind Farm.
Noticed very well against bots bc not mindgamable or slow vaults abuser (because they are aware of the trick).

  • I have a lot of videos of that yet…

  • This comes though at the downside... his scamper while SnDing is trash, cause it yanks your aim behind you as you vault, so 99% of the time any chance you had of landing a hit becomes none existent...

Just to be sure, by 'a hit becomes non existent' do you mean that ?

Vs. Chucky weird dodge on dropped pallet (Youtube)
If yes, that is just you don't 'see' the Chucky's collision during the hit or maybe the aim assist (for console players) prioritize to hit the dropped pallet instead the vaulting survivor…

Just to illustrate that, you have the same thing facing on Hillbilly: if the pallet is dropped when he is charging his chainsaw, if the survivor quickly vaulting during the charge, the hit by chainsaw will always focus on the dropped pallet & wll not focus the vaulting survivor. Same thing with the breakable walls, as the window & the Wesker's dashes…
I can't explain these 'desync hits' in another way…

  • If i was working for bhvr i would make the game 10 times better

If you want to work for BVHR, I'm not sure these 'few questions' are the best cover letter you can do. Everyone surely would make the game better but apparently BVHR needs a lot of statistics to spot a problem before 'to solve' it in any way.

  • Ping & latency 'issue' from both sides I guess (as you can notice it very often the red bar in the waiting lobby & by pressing 'Esc' key at the start of the game when the cam rotates around your character).
A lot of players experienced the same thing recently & I've read some topics about that.

  • Maybe try this guide :
Change Server Region Dead By Daylight
I've never tried it myself but I sure it works very well.

  • Ping & his fan-shape collision by grab can do that yes.
Annoying but nothing has to be fixed.
Apparently to counter that, you have to look back when Wesker is preparing his power then you have to make him to miss it by dodging when the timing to reach the pallet is too tight…
Easier to write, I know, sorry 'bout that…

    I see a skilled player here…

  • @Poturbowany:
'Maybe nerf only Spiked Boots from 45% to 40/35% and that's all.'
Spiked Boots aren't required to turn in short range, I think they just allow you to turn more after a long rush (2sec).

And the reduced Overdrive frequency/charges suits me very well.

  • just opened the game and was unable to play killer normally

wdym by that: 'was unable to play killer normally'?
So you was 'forced' to play Chaos Shuffle because you have no problem with this mode ?

This! Most based and true comment in this whole discussion.

Ressources are somehow designed to be used. And if the killer wants to chase the WoO user for so long ('cause a WoO is easy to spot if he plays as @NerfDHalready described), it's up to him.

  • I've made another test about that as killer this time and I can claim yes, I think sounds work in the same way for killer:
depending of the direction where you are looking, you can or cannot hear a survivor during or out of chase. In this way, it is always easy to lose someone (missing the footsteps/groaning sounds) if you don't look at him all the time or if you try yo use your loudly power (like a chainsaw for the instance).

I don't post the video of that because it is not very interesting to watch but you can imagine the problem on a simple loop with a pallet between 2 rocks, or a tile with a big wall & a window which the survivor can fast vault it quietly if you look in a wrong direction. And losing chase in this way because you have to look at it 2 times, just to be sure, can reset the window block by the Entity (speaking of my personal experience here).

I have 1957 birthday cakes on my main . I just have had to stop using them otherwise i will only play erye, badham and ormond all night long .

You are so lucky with the maps offerings bc with the boosted maps rotation, I more often have Lery's, RPD, Dead Dawg & Hawkins.
An offering to avoid a specific realm should be a nice thing instead to remove Maps Offerings definitively…

  • SOLO QUEUE IS UNPLAYABLE/ SWF IS BROKEN
Hrm. You probably have right yes. As right as @I_Cant_Loop says trustful things.

  • The only surv's perk that it increases the stun duration is the 'Chemical Trap' but I don't think this was it neither.

  • More infos needed.
No pallet has a different stun duration. I don't know a survivor perk that it can do that neither.
    Don't you use the Vecna's perk ?
The only 'glitch' I know can be done by the killer (hitting the pallet with M1 & maybe 'Enduring' resulting no stun at all).

BHVR, we need a Pig theme. I've gotten so desperate for a pig theme I had to make my own in the meantime. One can only dream…

    Good one. Thanks for sharing.

I literally said “at the time the graph was released”.

As in, I literally used this graph back when it was released.

Sorry, I've just read it diagonally…

  • Old graph & stats I guess @Coffeecrashing .

This graphic shows the amount of DH users when it was really OP (I mean, when this perk gave you invulnerability + distance) 'cause today Unbreakable is more used as it was...On the graph, you can clearly see UB is ridiculously low.
And Self-Care reaches the 25% at 'High MMR' (& that would be huge).
Same thing for Borrow Tme that it should reach the 50%.

IMO this graphic is probably showing stats from 2019 or from 2020 (because of the Boon: Circle of Heal. stat. & before the Spine Chill's nerf).

how do you know you're in high mmr in the first place? no offense, I just don't get how people always assume they're high mmr on this forum

if you are, 2-3k on average sounds pretty good? if you're supposedly this good killer then you can expect to match up against good survivors? I wouldn't expect chill games if I was matching up against comp players consistently

High MMR is probably depending of the gameplay time that you often can check in the waiting lobby. And I think above 4-6kHrs., your opponents certainly have a high MMR. But it is only my personal feeling.

Sorry I only saw it now, you should probably tag the message you're awnsering to xD

I've never seen a huge difference between them to be honest, most of the time they play pretty normal I think. Like I said I ignored them completely, maybe they were the survivors that always annoyed me with hiding? xD

Maybe yes. You are probably right, I can't tell neither. Except at low MMR, I just don't play against one of them…

  • So thanks to share this good catch with us.

  • No idea but usually I don't like to face on a key holder (avoiding to be chase or lurking for the hatch as last survivor).
But you are probably right, bringing a key means nothing…

  • OR you can put it in a secret place at the beginning of the match until the hatch spawns for you.
The broken keys & all other keys have the same 3D model. they should be modelized in a different way.

If you bring a key in the lobby killer AND teammates should know you have this item.
That because keys & hatch are designed in (approximatively) at the period when the hatch can be spawn closed on the map as soon as the number of survivors still alive are equal of generators waiting to be repaired +1. In this way, coordonated survivors could all escape by the hatch. Now hatch works in a different way.

So the killer should know if he needs to focus a key holder in priority. And teammates have to know if they need to pick your key on your hook where you are sacrified.

Dropping repeatedly an item avoid to scare crows & it is sometimes 'useless' to be sneaky when the killer is looking for you…

  • Video erro. Can't watch it.

  • @Grigerbest said:

The only thing I don't like about the mmr - is when I have in my team: 2 completely new players, and 1 6k hours "sweat lord" mixed with "average" skill killer. The matches like that are always a… Circus…

Mandy said it's happening when players dodging lobbies.

Yeah naturally, MMR system doesn't work bc players.
More seriously, if this system can be break so easily, maybe this system should be changed again into a 'reliable' system. If devs forget such simple feature like the 'cancel' button, I think they have to go back to the basics…

  • Very good catch !
You didn't manage to get it but you did it twice in the same match & you tried to take advantage of it. Honestly, we probably did the same thing but whatever…

  • All that know is: when you have his cam on your back, you can force him to tp behind you. If you have a window in front of you when The Singu will tp, he will be forced to tp outside, behind the window.
    In disorder:
    - If you have to drop a pallet bc he is close to you, the best is to pre drop if you have enough time or if you have his stuff on your back because depending to his add-ons or something else, if he turns pink in chase, he will insensible to the stun the few next seconds and he will probably M1 regardless the pallet. So you can faint & to hope he will miss but dropping anyway is a waste of time & resource. The best counter seems to be using the vaults as much as you can do…
    - The Singu uses (sometimes? often ?) 'Coup de grâce' (The Twins' perk) to have an extended lunge during chases & to hit you during a vault or close to a pallet.
    - He usually lurks his cams after all hook to spot survivors on gens or in open areas… You can anticipate this & to sneak behind rocks, logs or structures in the environment to avoid his next tp on you.
    - If you don't have his stuff on the back, you can make him to miss his spy shots with faints behind cover or disabling the Pod during chases (or someone else can do that for you when you are playing in SWF).

I'm writing all this but I'm not a decent player countering The Singu but I'm used to watch some good players doing a very good job against him, so I know it is feasible.

  • So you remember as me the time where the pallet stun can be broken for some reasons. Thanks for your answer.

  • Maybe you shouldn't ask to control too much the quality of the matches to BVHR…

  • Damn. So shame for the Artist, the Contest & for DbD…

  • Not convinced at all.
During a previous old event, survivors had trash pallet a new tested feature. These changes aren't very good during loops.
I don't think your suggestion is really the best kind of feature that DbD actually needs…

  • An artist without signature ?
Weird that BVHR accepts the submissions for a contest without a verified email or another confirmed way to contact them back…

  • Wondering about her perks or about her appearance & cosmetics ?

I only say unfair as of now because I’m not sure what the counter would be? If there is a counter then my answer changes but based on the clip I’m not sure what that Cheryl could have done. Can someone tell me what the correct play here would be?

I think this Cheryl wanted initially to loop around the pallet+wall but she noticed she was late hearing the chainsaw's sound, then she hesitated or changed her plan, try to vaccum the pallet but was too far to do it properly & got the first free M1 before the pallet-stun. Then probably she noticed to be on the wrong side of the pallet, attempting a fast vault but her timing was bad or something bc she received her second free hit during the animation.

The counter of that is probably to double-back after to drop the pallet, then instantly to fast vault it with Lithe or Finess (probably the only ways to avoid the hit). Some players avoid very well my hits in this way, or I sometimes fail it. So it is possible…

  • @Marc_123 said:

    Aura reading is unintuitive.

Especially for newer players. It is natural that you try to hide if the killer comes.

You don´t expect to be seen when you are in a good hiding spot. That is the reason new players often think someone is cheating… like "how the hell did he look there… he must be cheating"

And this is gonna get worse with this update.

'And this is gonna get worse with this update.'
Really ? What is in this update gonna get worse ? I should have missed the point.

  • Yes but… As survivor, we can think a double hit (as a Knight can do) is like an 2-tap/instantdown.
I mean, I could think that: no counterable.

1 2 3 4 5 … 14
