I think some specific powers (The Dredge) can show lockers & almost 1 (old) add-ons (for the Huntress) could do that as well. Everything worked well as far as I know. But it is true, they - the Devs - have added (many) lockers on the maps since more killers can use it for many things…
So who needs to see the lockers location from your point of view ? -
'I just played a game agasint a Billy where he slugged me and one other person'
That is probably because you've reached the sup.level in the MMR.
Take 'unbreakable' or this kind of perk because you will never know when it will happens again (bleeding out on the ground)… but you know it will happens again tho'. Just care of it & keep an eye on the HUV… -
@Vishlumbra :
My best advice for your problem 'Tired of the complaining against killers' :
close your internet browser…When you speak about 'competitive', high MMR & things.. Are you speaking for yourself too ?
'cause I ngl but I certainly have a low-mid MMR (probably below 1100) and I swear: I'm so often be slugged, camped & 100% killed bleeding on the floor (by my own fault & mistakes or not) that in soloQ these fancy stats are absolutely unreal: I am 100% dead 9 games on 10 in this way ! And sometimes (I can't tell how often it happens) these 'strats' start since the beginning of the trial (at 5 gens) and not at the all end…How can we find that so 'fun' ? It requires no effort for killer to stay in the same place & to incitate randoms in soloQ to lack of coordination. And now, they have all the reasons to do so…
So you can complain about complaining against killers but I can complain about the fancy things that everyone can tell about statistics, gameplay or whatever else in contradiction with the main lines… -
We can hope some improvements about that but honestly I know BVHR doesn't want to care about that in any way…
You just have the 'block' function that it isn't optimal at all (it literally doesn't nothing against anonymous mode & about all players on different platform as you - planet players). And BVHR justifies that by refusing to face everyone regardless their ping, gameplay or whatever else is called an 'unsportmanlike behaviour'.
Problem solved from their side. -

Yeah I know how it works. The question is not like "why it's working like that?", the question is why BH, WHY?! UE5 for what reason? What was the problem to make it like glass?
Because they - the Devs - don't think one single second a ranged killer will try to shot through it. You know, that is only by watching players playing their own game that the Devs make 'balance', edit/remove & update many things for the gameplay.

True, but as I already mentioned, there are wooden windows on Grave of Glenvale where I can shine trough. And you mentioned Huntress, her hitboxes are so big and inconsistent that I wouldn't be surprised if she could do that XD
These static meshes are probably designed in different times & in different way. Their characteristics & collisions aren't similar.
On Glenn Vale, if you can export the entire map in a 3D Unreal Engine & if can do the same thing with Haddonfield, you probably will notice the difference between these 2 stuffs… -
Sad we just have a nice castle in the background and no dedicated map for The Dark Lord (like Decimated Borgo but just better)…
-
If it is a Scary Movie's reference, I'm glad to notice people already have forgotten this turnip !
-
Do you think like me all this happens since the basekit Mori ? I sincerely hope Devs have noticed that too…

Just curious - what is an acceptable level of effort that the killer is allowed to exert to try to win so that you won't complain? Should killer players complain if survivors complete the gens and escape too quickly?
Also - what killers are humping survivors for 4 minutes? If killers are doing really that, then it seems like it should be easy for the rest of the survivors to complete all the gens and escape.
Yes, they DCed when they failed quickly. And after that, it comes the complains about meta perks & other things…
-
'Hatch is not a victory'
This is true: 3k or 4k is probably more or less the same reward at the end for the killer (BP + MMR increase).
To escape by the hatch for the surv' is more or less the same reward (BP + draw match).
But to slug is the easiest strat' to do… -
Same here when a DC happens.
-
'Everyone likes moris' when it happens to others probably, yes.

I think you missed my point. Fatalities are something that the MK series has been known for pretty much since its start. Moris are much the same (even if some of the oldest ones are pretty ass and desperately need updates.) They've taken out almost every gameplay aspect of them (remember when you didn't even need hooks?) and they're basically just cosmetic finishers now to close out the match. There are very few situations where you will be getting hit with the finisher mori when you could have wiggled off if it wasn't in the game, so the end result is generally the same. Hell, a lot of moris are quicker than the pickup/walk/hook/sacrifice animations, so you actually get out of the match faster.
Sure, you have right on many points. I was exagerated.
But on your last sentence, you can be partially wrong if you watch generally how it happens in games:
when the two last survivors remain in game, the killer chases one, slugs him to avoid the hatch to spawn, go after the second & last survivor, finds him & down him too. Then he will hook one of them, he will wait until the last stage of the sacrifice (it could be long if the survivor doesn't give up) & finally he can mori the last with this pretty nice mori.
I don't know but in my mind, to hook both of them should be quicker…
But whatever, time spent in game is mainly just some details… -

This is like saying Mortal Kombat players should never use fatalities and just look them up online and watch them there instead.
Exactly. I have never used fatalities in PvP Beat'em'up & they never missed me.
But if you like it in DbD, feel free to do it, it is actually the good time. I will not surprised if BVHR removes this ability in the future tho'.
But is it this feature justify this thread ? I don't know. Make a poll instead. -
In the Void, after a missing M1 from an high platform, the killer can even land on a dropped pallet, on the edge of the zone. Funny moment.
-
I can be wrong but as I know VERY WELL the Bugs of Daylight, I think this bug is linked with the hidden cursor ingame. I explain myself: when you look up in the menu, perks, offerings or whatever some list of items, you can sometimes noticed a glitching/blinking effect when your mouse is hovering edges of two different items in the list.
I can't be 100% sure about this 'odd about doctor's 'snap out' mechanic' but as the action bar reacts in the same way, I think that is the same kind of problem but that during the game… -
'now the last survivor can give the killer a Mori.'
If you like so much to watch Moris for free, you can play all of them as much as you want directly from the Store. -
Amazing catch mate. This game is sooo funny: if it did not exist, it would need to be invented.
-
It will be a good thing yes. But this forum needs many other improvements first. And I don't think this is the priority of devs so…
-
'but it looks like a bug'
New bug of the UI, happens to me previously, randomly. Happens for someone else in my game. Was surprised when this person was unhooked bc the UI displayed different hook's stage of the survivor. I don't have noticed that at the first look… -
If you are up for some 1v1, I think to do some custom matches first is the best way to remove millscale on muscles.
-
Don't share 'Positive DBD Experiences', just live them.
-
'But as mentioned by @TragicSolitude, are you sure you want to take the risk adding an additional point of failure in the game? '
Lovely sentence… I will replay 'Yes, we want it'
because Bug by Daylight will not be this unique game without all these specifics & imperfections. So this 'little risk' is worst it I guess -
You are right and as the title of the thread is 'You gave killers a lot of adventages in the void', I'm not convinced the 'advantages in the void' are enough for anyone to go in.
Anyway, this event is weird, this added zone is strangely designed. It could be so easy to add a gen inside & to let all the other mechanics to work inside this zone. I don't even know if you can sabot hooks into the void & I have noticed any locker, any chest & any totem… -

Void contains no objectives for survivors
Wasting the killer's time is one of the most important objectives a Survivor can have
Yes but this isn't specifically the goal of this zone I guess. If someone is slugged in the Void, he is probably already dead if killer doesn't want to pick him.
The Void contains a different - and 'infinite' - ressource (a offensive projectile for killer, a defense weapon for survivor) as long as you have spent time to collect enough Energy. -
@NarkoTri1er said:
even with all of those "advantages" killer has in the void, here are survivor advantages even if we take in mind broken and exhausted status effects while inside of it:
- there are spots where killer can't even hit you;
- void is a huge vacuum for killer's map pressure because there are no objectives inside of it, meaning forcing killer into the void is beneficial for you
- you have strong tiles in the void as survivor.
And no matter the fact that there are significantly more advantages in the void for survivors, just play the event queue for the sake of event objectives and having fun with them. Even though i know void is just a map pressure vacuum for me when i play killer, i still go regularly inside it.
And tbh, i'm having even more fun as survivor, since those smoke bombs are the most fun thing this event has brought
Killer knows if someone is in the Void.
He can reach platforms without using the vault (just using a M1) as survivors have to do.
Void contains no objectives for survivors, killers is rarely following/chasing someone in the Void…
Funny thing, even if survivors have a lot of pallets here, I usually think the tiles are short, square-shaped where a hit can easily from the top & the most of them results a free hit. The only 'safe pallet I've found here is between the 2 big strairs in the middle. All the others are meh. -
Calm & he has always a great game sense.
-
So survivors don't need to be nerfed, pallets need it, right ?
After been hit recently 3 meters away (almost 20 times this last week), I know what you feel and yes the pallet hitboxes has been buffed, it is obvious. That is to compensate the failing Validation Hit I guess… -
Oh no, not this thread again… Let me out !

Isn't it easier to just take a quick glance at your bloodweb before pressing the button? lol
No because 'everything has been done to make mistakes' :
- a lot of bloodpoints to spend every Events now
- many similar colours in the web
- a auto BP-spender that has his own logic (different of your personal goals) !
So you see now, this system is guilty & it requires a lot of improvements for the Entity Sake ! -

Hey I never said it was a problem for me, but when it comes to janky animations, its just somethin that irks me yknow? Just personal preference.
I understand. But I feel that funny that some players know well enough the game and the broken stuff to do it when it is absolutely not required…

The animation? thought that was pretty clear.
And why is it need to be fixed ? Is a REAL problem for you, chasing a survivor doing that just by timing very well these keys combinations ?
I repeat myself but it affects in any manners the chase, gameplay or whatever else. It's just like pointing, emoting, moonwalking, humping or t-thing… -
Noice !
-
Try another mouse just to be sure isn't the problem.
Maybe remove your GeForce Experience (as it shouldn't be used to record your games as far as I know) or try to force the dx10.
I'm bad debbuger & a bad technical engineer tho'... So please, wait advices from someone else if anything works… -

They still haven't fixed this?
What do you want 'to fix' here ? It is just a trick without impact in any manners.
-
Very short duration for the sceptic (more or less 6 sec) & works like a 'Dead Hard' or like a pocket 'Borrow Time'. It can work fine if tunneled out of the hook or when the last gen is done.
Sceptic can works well out of sight of the killer (bc the medkit deplet can't be noticed instantly) with 'Bite the bullet' for instance (no heal sound), 'Iron will' or with an audio occlusion (like behind a rock or a wall, on the peripheral side or one level below).
But in my opinion, the 'Anti-Haemorrhagic Syringe' seems better (long-very long duration until the auto-heal but best effect). -

NASA don't have enough employees to fix this messy code.
Thanks for the smile & laughs :P

Omg I'm so far from 20ms !…
So when I play killer with the same ping, survivors should complain about my hits all the time ! -
Thanks for the xplanation.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
If you slow it down to 0.25 Speed you see that you are leaving the trail basically right before it hits you. Considering that you both had high Ping, I guess this lets it seem closer than it actually was.
WHAT ? I thought 68ms wasn't too much to have an impact in the gameplay… Geez, how many ping have you to consider it as a decent ping ?
Thanks for the analysis in slow motion. I'm convinced that kind of miss should be soooo frustrating for the killer as much as it had surprised me. -
Excellent screenshot. Indeed, this game is the biggiest unsolved mystery since decades !
-
I'm not enough photogenic during his Mori to talk love about Ghostie 💔
-
XD thanks
-
so then u agree on fixing crouch bug since its a free missstill dont think its unfair? It can be frustrating for the killer, it can be nice/fun for survivor to avoid a free hit (or an instantdown). But it is not bugged (surprisingly) & it is not unfair.
Everybody don't use it properly/constantly. And it probably can be anticipated as a common Dead Hard & it can be countered. -
@Eleghost said:
Hubris is 20 seconds, Starstruck is 30 but you don't get information with it. So would you prefer to just take away the aura read and give you 30 seconds exposed?
I play Hillbilly with this perk & from my point of view, his aura reading duration is the best thing about this perk (more duration than with BBQ perk). But indeed, I rarely use this perk to instant-down someone (and more, I don't even try bc I have a chainsaw. And tbh, when I do a instant-down, it was unexpected…).
-
I think when you are broken, you have a little crossed heal icon near your nickname, like if you have used Deliverance to self unhook you.
If you look video, you don't have this & no heal action are available when you are close to the other injuried/crawling survivor… -
@Doxie said:
I can't argue that. Once it hit I couldn't play anymore. Then I got a new nicer computer.... I'm still having issues
Your computer isn't guilty, that is just a 'Technical Issue'. So call the NASA's engineers to fix it because nobody can do that but BVHR !
They previously admitted the stutters/rollbacks but they automatically close all new reports about these 'fixed & solved' problems… -

This is getting so annoying, we did not need these breakable walls added, the one on Macmillan had the breakable wall near the generator, but the last photo is the new breakable wall which pretty much makes the upstairs building a trap for survivors, and a guaranteed injure or down for the killer. ( Both of those walls spawn at the same time).
As if the Asylum wasn't bad enough, why in the world was this breakable wall added? After countless feedback from us, they continue to mess with the maps.
I'm very upset, the patch has so many bugs, hitboxes are messed up, there's been multiple cases of crashing, multiple killer bugs, and they prioritized adding these breakable walls that no one asked for.
Do better BHVR. I'm not doing this to be rude, but I'm doing this because I care about the balance and health of the game. Listen to your community.
Lol indeed. But thanks for these screenshots ! Now, we all are aware this change…
-
Not new bug but not fixed tho' (contrary to that closed report claims here: Can't heal and be healed )
Video of the actual bug:
Recurrent bug: can heal survivors (Youtube)
