  • I had a fun one the other day too. Playing oni in blood fury, catch a survivor on the opposite side of a dropped pallet after they vaulted and started running away. There's me, then the survivor, then the pallet.

Go for a dash smash, survivor apparently enters the ethereal plane for a minute, so oni smashes the pallet behind the survivor instead of the survivor. Survivor then re-enters the physical plane and immediately gets to a window. Awesome

  • I'd be fine with NOED being nerfed into the ground in exchange for undoing some of the undying nerf. For instance, say you are running undying + ruin. If the survivors cleanse undying first, it's the same as it always was (undying deactivated). However, if ruin gets cleansed first, it respawns it one time only on an available dull totem. So instead of only having to break 2 hex totems in the worst case scenario, survivors have to break 3 in the worst case. 50% chance of only needing to do 2 totems, 50% chance of needing to do 3. Would be cool with removing the aura reading entirely in that scenario. Would not be as OP as before but would be stronger than it is now

Or alternatively... nerf NOED in exchange for just completely reverting the Billy changes. I couldn't care less about NOED but I miss you Billy boy...

  • I'd be game for just about anything licensed. The last original killer I liked was Oni and even he's oddly obnoxious to play on console

  • Spirit phasing right next to me out of nowhere will always make me ######### my pants

Quick question: can you help me understand how to make a poll? This post was originally supposed to be a "poll" and not something that looks like it was from General Discussions lol

Take this with a grain of salt as I've not done a poll here but I think you just go to "new discussion" button in the top right hand corner of the forums and then click "new poll" and you should have the option to add a title, text, and poll answer options. Might also have to be in the poll area of the forums as well

  • I kind of just ended up farming as windstorm wraith for a few games. Ran around the map until I found the glyph, then just dicked around with survivors until the end of the match before rinsing and repeating. The glyphs are kind of annoying... would be better if you didn't have to be within 5 feet for it to show up

Eh, that might end up looking more jank than vertical portraits.

I'd love if there was an option to choose between the two though. I don't know if that's feasible or not.

True true. Seems like best case scenario would be having some options for HUD element layouts. Even if it's just 2 or 3 options, that would be better than 1

It was the only way to properly display usernames in all supported languages. That's the reason we got.

Thanks, I did miss that detail. That almost begs the question of why it's not possible to just use multiple lines if necessary to display the whole name. Either way, that's a shame if that's the only reason. Seems like most players would prefer the names to cut off rather than lose a sizeable portion of the screen to the HUD

  • As a Jeff main, your description looks very accurate hahaha. I like to run the halo cosmetic and empathy to get maximum jeffsus heals opportunities. And if the survivors are toxic to a baby killer, jeffsus will stay behind to die for the survivors' sins

The o0o change isnt final yet but you do realize that every 30 seconds after bbq the survivor will see your aura?

Thats what i am getting from the perk

True, but I guess the major upgrade here is that:

    • Survivor cannot constantly see killer aura
    • Survivor cannot choose when they see killer aura. It'll either be like an aura spine chill kind of thing, or it'll be once every 30 seconds

It's definitely not been nerfed into uselessness, but it's also not going to be a nightmare for setup killers anymore. Or a nightmare in general on certain maps. You could definitely make the argument that the amount of time between aura viewings should be a little longer but imo this feels fair. Doesn't nerf the perk into the ground but also addresses the major complaints about it.

I think everyone's going to be seeing this perk A LOT less, so that's a win in my book

  • Absolutely love it. It's almost verbatim what much of the community has been asking for. I usually give the devs a lot of crap, so I have to give them major props for this and the OoO change

Yeah, same here. I don't really get the point of doing a code if it's down in less than a day of being announced

  • @Pulsar said:

    Because he is.

Demo suffers from something unique. He can do everything, but he isn't particularly good at anything. He is stuck being either bad at worst or mediocre at best because of it. This also affects his pick rate. If you want someone with a ranged attack, why play Demo when you can play Deathslinger, Huntress or Freddy? Want stealth? Why not Myers, GhostFace or Wraith? Easy map traversal? Spirit, Billy, Blight and Oni.

As for your points, I'll address them.

    • His Shred is easily baitable and is pretty punishing. It also SUCKS on Console, which is where I play.
    • Portals do offer map traversal, but they can be removed. They also give a huge notification that you are using them AND they glow.
    • His tracking is decent, but again, it's only when touching the Portal and tracking without means to capitalize is meaningless.
    • He is good with STBFL.
    • His stealth is REALLY bad. Only really bad Survivors will EVER be surprised by him. He gives not one, not two, but THREE warning signs that he's near. Map wide notification that he is using a Portal, Portal glows and his stomping.
    • He isn't map dependent. That is true.

Demo needs a total redesign. Not only is he mediocre at best, but he is boring to play. He could've been so interesting, he does so much in ST. Have him able to pull Survivors into the Upside-Down. Have his Portals expand to corrupt the surrounding area. Let him pull generators into the Upside-Down. Do something to make him unique.

Well said, I agree with all of that. Only other thing I have to add to the conversation - in the most recent bunch of stats released for red rank kill rates, if we ignore Nurse and Blight since they're much harder to handle, Plague and Demo are essentially tied for worst killer at red ranks by a pretty noticeable margin. Demo was 62.8% kill rate. Clown, for reference, was about 66.2%. Killer average was 68.2%. I don't think that the stats are the end all be all, but it's still telling that Demo was much lower than average there

I'm actually always surprised that more people don't think Demo is dogshit in his current state. He sounds great on paper but it just never seems to play out that well compared to other killers

  • Man... so much. The selective uses of stats (Nurse having lowest kill rate makes sense because she's hard to use, but low plague and demo kill/pick rates is... also cool? No need to make any changes there. Also, Billy at top 1% is too good, so we'll nerf not just the top 1% of billy players, but all 100% of them until hardly anyone plays him)

All of the gameplay elements as survivor and killer where you are just utterly helpless and have no counterplay... A-OK. The design philosophy that frustration = fun, that drives me crazy

Everyone talks about the grind for BP but that pales in comparison to the absolutely stupid grind for iri shards

Long story short, if I wanted to make a list of things I'm happy with BHVR about, it would be about 5 lines. If I wanted to make a list about things that disappoint me, and be really thorough about it... if there's a character limit on these forum messages, I'd be hitting it

  • Slugging to find the last survivor seems boring for everyone imo, so I consider a 3k under any circumstances to be a win. Doesn't matter if last survivor gets hatch or gates to me

  • Pretty much the only positive note I left on the last survey was that the game runs flawlessly on PS5. Genuinely could not find any FPS issues even if I was nitpicking

Sorry to hear some issues are present on the new xbox. I can definitely sympathize with how frustrating that is though - on PS4, I would be hard-pressed to find a span of 60 seconds in game without some kind of serious FPS issues. I have some old PS4 nurse game videos where the FPS during blinks drops to a powerpoint slideshow

I hardly play survivor anymore but I never minded being tunneled, unless it was by like a nurse or spirit.

Getting chased is the most fun part of the game to me. That’s why I mainly play killer, since you are always doing something instead of having huge periods of repairing generators.

I don’t think anything needs to be changed about the game. Nothing really toxic can happen if you turn off the endgame chat. The worst is some teabags at the exit gate or someone wasting a few minutes slugging you to death.

Fair enough, appreciate the discussion. I usually don't mind getting tunneled either since I most likely made a potato play to end up in that situation, but I can see how it would get frustrating after awhile. Definitely agree that survivor is a lot more boring outside of chase

  • @chieften333 said:

One thing I've thought of for survivors is having the use of perks restricted in the exit gate area. Essentially acting as a "get out now, or you're going on the hook for your overconfidence"

I dunno, something along those lines would reduce the amount of second chances they have.

That would be fun. Maybe a blood warden buff. I do love running that perk, even though it's usually a wasted slot

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I mean we've had solutions suggested for just about every "toxicity" problem in the game; the problem is the devs don't really agree with any of them being problems or toxic.

So they won't implement any changes surrounding them.

We can still discuss the matter; but there won't be any action taken on anything unfortunately.

Yeah, excellent point. I guess I just don't understand the rationale

    @SilentPill said:

I'm also kinda sad that the exhaustion addon will be getting removed. it's such a relief knowing survivors don't have a second chance for everything you do against them.

But I guess it's for the better that it gets removed.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to expect with add-ons. Exhaustion one will definitely be missed. Flask of bleach was probably my favorite, so I'll be bummed out if that gets canned

The basekit changes tentatively sound good to me but I have no idea what to expect with the add-on pass. Redhead pinky finger was the only thing that needed removal imo

  • Long live the Clown! I guess I'm... cautiously optimistic, waiting to see PTB. No matter how you look at it, it's a big buff:

    - Just the fact that you have thick cork stopper basekit (2 second faster reload) is massive

    - Even if you're just using the new bottle for map mobility and not using it at all in chase, that's a huge plus on its own

    - Seems like throwing the new bottle right behind a survivor puts them in a lose lose situation. Since it takes a second or 2 to activate, if they stay/run back to get the speed boost, they lose distance and get hit. They keep running, Clown closes the gap. I love that

    - Still seems like insta dropping pallets will be the counter to Clown. Otherwise, you could speed boost at pallet, pink bottle at opposite end of loop, and that would be a near guaranteed hit every time

But yeah, I guess I'm just waiting to see how long the speed boost lasts, how the two bottle clouds interact etc. I was kind of disappointed at first but the more I think about it, the more it seems like this could be pretty solid. All depends on some numbers we don't know yet though, so I'm waiting on PTB

Either way, sure as hell beats the Wraith buff

  • Billy, Nurse, PH. Would enjoy playing any of them in their pre-rework formats but they're just not as fun as they used to be

Oh I totally get it. I'd rather your question be answered than a 'Did it take long for the map to be reworked'. It just feels so insulting that people are asking really good questions, but they're ignored for the safety of no backlash for their answers. I'd actually have more respect for them if they did answer the risky questions because to me, it shows them willing to face the issues, rather than try ignore them and hope they quiet down.

Fully agreed, I would have a lot more respect for them if they did include some challenging questions. Would make for much more transparent communication

I kinda also agree with the criticism that if there's going to be a non-answer like "soon TM" given to any of the questions, then there wasn't really any point in even including it. Seems like it's only safe questions and safe answers

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I wouldn't take it personally. Assuming you've seen their Q&A's, they ALWAYS cherry pick the 'safe' questions to give a simple yes or no to. Everytime I've watched, it's always the most safe and useless question, and they never go into any details.

That's true, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was personally insulted that they didn't take my question, I guess it just seemed like it was a pretty innocuous question to ask from my perspective. Seems like they could earn so much good will with a simple change like that. I guess I'm just more frustrated in that I can't wrap my head around the decision process that goes on for stuff like this

  • @NomiNomad said:

It'd be nice, but it's also kind of a pipe dream. If anything...

Please, just put Iridescent Shards in the free track. Please.

Last Q&A, I put in a question asking them if they'd be open to Iri shards on the free track. Got around 50 upvotes I think, and they ignored it. Soooo... seems like the most charitable they're going to be is some BP or something on the free track

I feel like I'm dealing with the video game equivalent of comcast here

  • So, the main counterargument to this video seems to be "Yes, this game was impossible for the killer with 4,300 hours to win, and yes, that is bonkers that the gens went so fast, but this kind of death squad only appears once every leap year. Since it's such a rare situation, nothing needs adjusted"

Ok... I think that's missing the point. How many red rank matches occur with killers weaker than freddy, where the gens are done in 4/5/6 minutes, regardless of how many slowdown perks are brought in? I think any red rank killer could start recording matches and show you, at minimum, 10 cases of this per week. 2 and a half minutes is rare. 5 is pretty commonplace, particularly with weaker killers. Go play Wraith/Clown/Demo at rank 1 if you don't believe me

I think the point here is that, in a perfect world, a skilled survivor squad going against an equally skilled killer would result in a 2k. If the killer is more skilled, the game ends in 3-4k. If the survivors are more skilled, it ends in a 0-1k. In the current game design, if a killer gets a 4k in under 6 minutes, they were vastly more skilled than the survivors (in other words, the survivors made a lot of exploitable mistakes, which the killer capitalized on). If survivors escape in under 6 minutes, in the current game design, it doesn't mean that they were more skilled than the killer, they have the option of just slamming gens and having one person immediately throw down every pallet. THAT'S a problem, and it's probably why survivor queues are 10+ minutes at peak playtimes and killer queues are below 30 seconds. One role is seemingly less attractive than the other by an order of magnitude

  • Yeah... I feel you. That kind of stuff gets annoying fast. I'm taking a break from the game for awhile. Just got back up to rank 1 again playing clown and demo, but it's just not fun to do anymore. Either get rainbow rank matchmaking and stomp everyone into the dirt, or it's rank 1-2 SWF popping all 5 gens in 5 minutes or less regardless of how many slowdown perks are brought. If every survivor knows how to loop and doesn't care about dropping every pallet, it feels like there just isn't enough time. And then it's every other match with flashlight clickies and t-bags

At the end of the day, playing this game just puts me in a bad ######### mood. Consistently

  • That train of thought drives me crazy. The game isn't good because it's frustrating, it's good in spite of being frustrating

  • Red Forest/Haddonfield/Ormond offering

    59 second DS. Locker DS

Probably what I hate the most - getting dedicated right as you get a grab on your screen, then you just stand in place for 2 seconds while the survivor gets distance. So instead of an instant down, they now have full health and a 10 meters headstart on you. Awesome

And playing solo queue, having a teammate unhook you 1 foot away from the killer without BT. Back to the hook I go, I guess

  • I do like the idea Otz had of just making it so that you can see glimpses of her while she's phasing (kind of like a less frequent version of the passive phasing thing). Even without the mindgame potential she has now, she would still be top tier. Doesn't really nerf her potential much for good spirit players and would give her much more counterplay

Right now, she kind of feels a bit like old ebony moris... I feel bad playing them

  • I agree that it's a must have on weaker killers anymore. Had a clown match the other day where I was running ruin/undying/tinkerer and all the gens were still popped in under 5 minutes while all totems were still up. If you have a weak killer, bad map RNG, and a really solid survivor team you're going up against, ruin/undying is not even going to make up the difference there

Now on Spirit or Freddy... yeah, I think that's probably overkill, unless you're up against an MLG swat team. There are still about 10 other things in the game that are more broken and in need of a nerf though, imo

  • This might be redundant, but definitely make sure you're running rat liver (brown addon). I didn't play demo for a long time after release since I didn't know about it and thought he was too weak. It makes a big difference in terms of performance and fun factor. And it's a brown addon, so you can easily run it every game. Seems to be universally agreed upon that this is his best addon

As far as perks go, STBFL is great for him. I usually swap out some combo of BBQ, ruin/undying, and tinkerer along with that. Seems like none of the other potential perk combinations come close to being as good imo, but there might be some more fun combinations out there

  • @IronKnight55 said:

It is way too grindy if you're trying to get all perks on every character. I feel bad for new players... The Rift? I'm completely fine with that.

Honestly, while I definitely agree that the grind is particularly brutal for new players, I feel like getting all perks/P3ing your characters isn't as bad as the grind of the rift. With the BP grind, your performance actually has an impact, and there's no time limit on it. With the rift, after the challenges are done, it's purely based on how much time you cram into the 70 day period, since emblems/BP have virtually no impact

I guess I'm not a particularly big fan of the amount of grind to either, but the BP grind feels much more forgiving to me personally since I don't prestige survivors and I pretty much only play a rotation of 6 or so killers anymore. Still outrageous, but to a lesser degree than the rift imo

  • Yeah... I kind of just completely ignore the rift anymore. I was fully on board with the first rift estimate they gave of it requiring "around an hour a day" for the duration of the rift. It easily has to take at least 2-3 times as long as that estimate to hit lvl 70, even if you've done all the challenges.

I like the game but I don't have the time or desire to drop 800+ ######### hours into it in a given year. I have never played another game that was half as grindy as DBD is in general

  • She's definitely still arguably first or second strongest killer on next gen consoles, at least (last gen FPS makes her MUCH more difficult though)

That said, most people don't stop playing her because she's weak. Her rework just sucked all the fun out of her. Better to play a weak killer and have fun than to 4k stomp and have a miserable time doing it

  • Hahaha this is the true baby nurse. I like to imagine you were ant sized, blinking around and slashing survivor ankles

Do not concern yourself with the opinion of the sheep. They will whine no matter how you play.

  • @Withered8 said:

Really? Idk the fact that she renders practically any object or defense useless still makes her a top pick for me as i enjoy having the ability to basically free roam the plane. The cooldown as much as it may suck coming from old nurse is definitely justified as well. It helps to stop nurses from just zoning survivors so they can get easy hits/downs and makes them have to use their blinks more precisely rather than just spamming whenether they want.

I do agree that the billy base changes were silly and did make him less fun, but regardless he's still a fun killer I know alot of ppl still enjoy playing, me included. Flick billy was nerfed yes but it's still possible, you don't need charge addons to play flick billy and I can understand why charge addons were removed becaues they were very strong.

Yeah, I used to really enjoy old basekit nurse once I finally got halfway decent with her (easier said than done on console) but I guess playing her now just kind of... feels like work. Most of the time, when I stop playing a killer, it's because I had a horrendous 0 or 1k match. Last match I played with nurse was a 4k beatdown, but I am still always skipping her dailies whenever they pop up anymore. Guess we might have to agree to disagree about old basekit needing changed. I think omega blink and 3-5 blink nurse was ridiculous but old basekit seemed perfectly balanced to me. Extremely punishing if used the wrong way, extremely rewarding if used correctly. High risk, high reward to make up for the dozens of nurse matches where you got bodied by survivors while learning how to play her. Now, the high reward is still there, but the punishment is so much more extreme than it used to be.

Honestly, all my complaints would go away if they would just let dual recharge add-ons give you old basekit nurse. That way, you'd have the option to play old basekit, but you still wouldn't be able to use anything busted on nurse, since both her add-ons slots would be used up. I think there are still several killers in the current version of the game that would be more deserving of a nerf than old basekit nurse

Yep, I should've clarified that - I do agree that flick billy can still work, it just feels a whole lot more difficult to pull off than before. I guess the ideal add-on pass for me would've just been to make spark plug the only charge add-on or something like that. Or just remove the charge reduction from using a single engraving. I do agree insta-saw was an issue

  • @Withered8 said:

I don't understand people who say they "sapped" the fun outta nurse. What did they sap out of you? Unless you were playing extra blinks or old range addons then they were quite clearly busted and deserved a change. She's still by FAR the strongest killer in the game, if the 6 second max cooldown hurts you that much then run double recharge, which is exactly like playing old nurse.

I do agree that billy shouldnt have been nerfed but once again i don't see how he's "unfun" anymore. Do people just find a killer that's harder unfun becaues they can't be bothered to put in the hours to learn?

With Nurse, I think most of the community was in agreement that many of her add-ons were busted and needed to go. It's moreso the basekit changes that drove people crazy, I think. I definitely agree that she's still 1st or 2nd in terms of strength, but having to constantly keep an eye on the blink recharge, WHILE keeping an eye on the survivors... it gets to be exhausting really quick. And even with both recharge add-ons, you still can't get back to old basekit nurse. It's getting closer, but you still can't bypass the recharge system completely. If you charge the blink a quarter second early, you get punished. It demands so much more focus than old basekit nurse did, so that's why I don't find it fun anymore. I can still do great with her, but it just feels miserable to play. Honestly I find pretty much any other killer to be more fun. I'd play 20 matches with Wraith before I play a single Nurse match anymore

With Billy, a lot of people had already put in the time to learn him and bhvr just straight up removed certain things he could do well for advanced billy players, while pretty much taking nothing away from beginners. If you feather for too long, you'll overheat. You can't pair a charge add-on with an engraving to give you more curving capabilities (the only charge add-on now is garbage since it kicks him down to 110 movement speed). So your options in chase are more limited than before. If you were a billy player that found any of those things fun or rewarding, then their removal is going to make billy feel a lot less fun

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I know I’ve never played Nurse but how in the world is Hillbilly so different than before?

More than half of the time my chainsaw hardly overheats. Sometimes I let it overheat on purpose just to see if it’s working as intended.

I think it's just the add-on changes. Overheat mechanic is annoying but is rarely an actual problem. Old add-ons allowed a lot of curving play that you just can't do as effectively with the current add-ons, so it effectively lowered his skill ceiling

Edit: I forgot, overheat mechanic does make feathering much more annoying as well, so that also lowers his skill ceiling because it just removes more options for him

  • Fully agreed. I think Nurse is still really strong, but holy ######### is she miserable to play now. I felt exhausted even after 4king, so I just stopped playing her. And I get that insta-saw Billy was an issue but Billy just isn't nearly as fun to play now that you can't do some version of crack billy. Used to play him a lot but there's not really any reason to pick him over Oni now

I don't think it's a problem to nerf something if it's too strong, but bhvr seems to always find a way to suck all the fun out of the killer with some of these changes. PH might be stronger than before too but I am really bummed out with the way they changed him as well, as it's just not as fun imo

  • Godspeed on playing the bing bong boi. I love wraith but it is important to note that he is pretty widely considered to be in the bottom 3 killers in the game (if not the worst). Against a good red rank squad, there are going to be matches where you just straight up can't win, no matter how good you are. That goes double if you're not running good add-ons. Wraith has too many exploitable weaknesses. Anyways, I'll try to cover some basics here, so I'm sure there's some cross-over with Otz's video. I'd definitely defer to him on any points. I've been to rank one as a killer and have played Wraith at red ranks (I'd play him a lot more if he would get a large buff already), so I'm by no means an expert but I think I can still offer some good advice

    Add-ons

With Wraith, he is probably the most add-on dependent killer (maybe with the exception of trapper). So you'll want to stock up on add-ons and always be running something. Any wind storm is great, and borderline necessary for map pressure. The coxcombed clapper is great, obviously, but bone clapper is a good replacement that's more common. All-seeing purple add-on is fantastic, as it pretty much removes any possible stealth counterplay. That one is probably my favorite add-on because it's just really fun to play with, and also because I hate blendettes. Swift hunt is also good in general for chases. There's a green add-on as well that essentially gives you sloppy butcher for free (can't remember the name), so that's helpful as well. The brown "Ghost" add-on is surprisingly good

    Perks

As far as perks go, ruin + undying + tinkerer is good on pretty much any killer, and that goes for Wraith as well. Same for BBQ. Sloppy butcher + nurse's calling can be a solid combo if you're going with hit and run strategies. Thana isn't terrible for him. Make your choice can also be viable with wraith. If you only have ruin and not undying as well, I'd recommend pop and/or corrupt for slowdown instead. Ruin is great when it's up but without undying, it's pretty much useless because it's going to die in under 2 minutes. All that said, enduring + spirit fury can be a really solid combo for him if you're looking for chase perks. You could also run enduring alone, but I wouldn't recommend running spirit fury unless you have it paired with enduring. Wraith doesn't really have any power in chase (his strength is getting the initial drop on survivors and securing the first hit), so chase perks can be useful for him

As far as training wheel perks go, I'm not sure there really are any that aren't pretty much meta for him. Wraith doesn't have trouble FINDING anyone, he just has trouble downing them. So detection perks generally aren't needed as much as slowdown or chase perks for him (maybe with the exception of nurse's calling). If you don't have many perks unlocked for him, I'd just keep an eye out for any slowdown or chase perks. And remember that if you don't have sloppy butcher and/or don't have room for it in your build, you can always run the mangled status add-on and pretty much have sloppy butcher as your 5th perk, you'll just have to get hits right after uncloaking, but you should be getting those anyways

    Playstyle

Hit and run can be solid for him, but if you're playing more traditionally, I'd just say to keep in mind that:

    • You can use your power to close the distance with a survivor if they're holding W and/or using sprint burst. Also probably a good idea to use your power to catch up after the initial hit, particularly if running windstorm. So ideally, the chase would go like this: Uncloak, hit, cloak, catch up, uncloak, down and hook. Just know that your power is probably not going to immediately get you that second hit, as survivors can use windows and pallets muuuuuch faster than he can uncloak. Your power WILL help you close the gap though, which is not nothing. You'll just likely have to seal the deal at a pallet loop
    • Definitely use bodyblocking to your advantage. If you can bodyblock a window or a pallet, that's really the only way you're gunna be able to secure hits in certain situations, so don't be afraid to do that
    • I wouldn't recommend playing like this, but you should know that the survivor borrowed time perk is based off of terror radius, and the wraith has none when cloaked (so if someone tries to unhook right in front of the wraith but he is cloaked, borrowed time doesn't activate). Please don't abuse this like some rank 20 wraith players do but just keep in mind if you have a cocky survivor trying to teabag and bodyblock you because they think they have BT, you can smack em down
    • Other than having the ability to rapidly close a large distance in chase, the wraith is pretty much an M1 man with machete. So all of the usual skills of moonwalking and pallet play mindgames that work on 90% of the killer roster will serve wraith well too
    • At red ranks, dead hard is everywhere. A good trick I learned from watching Otz is that you can bait out the dead hard by just tapping the cloak button. Wraith will pretty much look like he's about to swing, so the overwhelming majority of survivors will fall for that bait and use their dead hard. Since you won't have lost any distance by just tapping it, you can then smack them if they just used their dead hard, or smack them if they didn't have it. Either way, great little strategy to get in the habit of doing. You should pretty much assume 100% of survivors are running dead hard in any given match (unless you've already seen them use another exhaustion perk). Probably at least half of them actually are
    • If you're looking for a fun map to play Wraith (or just some place to train up on skills), imo, Hawkins is the best map for him currently. Survivors can't see him coming, and the pallets are very unsafe, so you typically don't need to break them in order to get a hit

Anyways, that's all I've got. Hope that helps!

  • With Ormond reworked, I think Haddonfield easily takes this now. The fences are comically long sometimes, and some of the setups with buildings are just plain dirty

Mother's Dwelling is also atrocious due to its size but it's still not as rough as Haddonfield

  • The 10k is kind of hilariously small. Like... hey, thanks, this will cover 1/6th of a single bloodweb

I feel like a kid being handed a nickel. Thanks - if I get 4 more of these, I can buy a gumball!

  • I am cool with any items (keys included) or obvious SWF in lobby. But I will dodge if Claudette is wearing an invisibility cloak. That is 100% of the time miserable to play against

  • @Callmehandsome said:

Yes, but they should have released key and mori nerfs same time. This makes them look obviously very biased.

That's what I can't wrap my head around. If moris and keys were nerfed at the same time, I think it would be pretty universally applauded. Mori change was also announced the day it was implemented, so no mori spam, which is great

Except... now we know keys are up next, so who is going to hold onto their keys now? And how long before that rework comes in? I don't even disagree with the mori nerf. It's just angering when they don't balance both sides at the same time. Should've waited until the key rework was done to implement this, imo

  • Yeah, I played 5 or 6 rounds of survivor last night with crossplay on and didn't see them once either. Seems like either no one got them or no one is playing them anymore. I can't really blame them

  • I think 99% of the time, it's not going to be gg's but just more toxicity from console players. There's a reason a lot of us just turned off messages/friend requests on console when playing this game. I'm reminded of a time I got a friend request with the attached message "reported you f***ing n****r" for having the audacity to get a 0k with Clown, running party streamers, wherein I went out of my way to not tunnel or camp or slug

If you can permanently turn the chat on/off, then I wouldn't care either way
