  • I've been asking for the devs to look into Doctor for a year now. >.<

He's got a pretty decent kit, but he's very weak in engagements. Because he needs an addon to even use his powers in a chase. Similar to how the Pig was before she got a mini-update.

He only needs 5-10% more range so that he'll be able to use the shocks in more areas other than just super unsafe pallets. Then adjust the addons from there accordingly.

I would also hope that they take a look into Clown after they're done with the Leatherface update and the Nurse/Billy addon rework. As others have been saying for years the Clown with no mobility, no game slows and pressure tool makes him very prone to just getting gen rushed.

After those four then they can honestly update or rework any other killer they feel like if they believe they have to.

Hope the Plague's buff is soon tho.

  • Clown would be more garbage than him. Because Clown ONLY has the gass.

Clown is in a sad state because of it, the ability is buggy as hell, doesn't last long enough, reload is insane without addons and he has no mobility, slow down or map pressure.

Freddy will have the hindered effect on top of the mobility for pressure and the micro sleeps for stealth.

If anything Freddy is a pseudo-Pig with movement and hinderence.

After Leatherface I hope Clown gets looked at next.

  • Shirtless David = 85% chance of getting a hatch escape.

I don't normally give people the hatch, unless they got screwed over by their teammate or they were very respectable in the game.

  • Brats me. I'm leveling my Freddy up RN to get ready for the rework. But I'm not getting any. Last time I haven't owned a dlc chapter id encounter at least two of them before p3.

  • Wouldn't say he's anywhere near close to op. But I personally find stalking killers irritating to play against.

  • Pig.

I'm assuming you're buying the whole chapter and not just unlocking the character.

+ Pig has a decent base kit with the added benefit of being able to slow the game down with her reverse bear traps.

+ Pig isn't as addon reliant as Clown, in which the clown is pretty bad without equipping them.

+ Tapp arguably has slightly stronger perks than Kate's.

The Pig is criminally underrated by the community for the most part, often being ranked really low. But she's just got a soft learning curve to her. She's very good and probably one of the more balance killers in how well you do will depend on how well you utilize all the aspects of her kit.

While the Clown may have two very strong perks (PgtW and Bamboozle) compared to the Pig's two decent one (MYC and Surveillance), he's very problematic in other areas.

Clown is buggy af atm and many have said that he's actually very boring to play as or against, this is largely do to him having only one real use for his ability. Pig can chase, she can ambush, she can pressure and she can has built in slows.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/67853/40-bugs-unique-to-clown-is-this-a-joke-devs

So while the Clown may on paper be able to end chases faster than her, he's still going to get gen rushed real hard because he has no real way of pressuring the survivors.

I would hold off on him unless you're getting the chapter for the perks alone. While I wouldn't personally rank him as being in the bottom of the barrel in terms of how well he ranks with the other killers, as I personally do well enough on him. But he's not too far above from Leatherface. There are just way more fun and viable killers to choose from.

  • Nurse, Billy and Spirit are obvious ones.

They're mostly fair and balance in their default power. But addons are what can make them borderline broke, at least to the level that survivors are used to. Seeing as how much weaker most of the killer roster is.

Secondary killers I would say that do mostly fine without addons are; Huntress and maybe Pig.

Huntress is mostly fine as is. Pig sadly has bad addons that don't really do anything since more than two thirds of them rely on RNG.

  • They could just bring back the plants and let the killer mori a survivor after the gates are powered if they don't kill the plants.

  • I think survivors were always able to hear it. It was just not showing up or playing for the killer at times. From my games at least.

  • It's been three years and they still haven't managed to figure out a way to temporarily disable a perk or character in situations like this, hot fixing it is not possible?

  • Plague doesn't need an update or anything as dramatic as a rework.

She is like the spirit when she first cameout. Weakish but with a few soft buffs it really helped her become a strong killer for the mid-highish ranks.

Once they figure out on how they can actually let the Plague be able to use the other half of her powers without getting denied so easily by the survivors then she'll be in a much morefavorable spot.

Clown probably need to get a big update though. He's terrible in his current state. Bugs everywhere and his kit is not only boring but he also has very weak pressure and stalls.

  • 96% girl it was tough i had to take a guess for maybe 3 of the questions especially the not queen one

  • I play doctor with agitation and mad grit. They seem to hate that and my mother.

  • I would assume the Entity views time in a way that's similar to Dr Mannhattan, in that time is relative to perspective and all that jazz. Existing in every time and in every realm. While being able to interact with them.

So while the plague may be the oldest killer picked up we don't know for sure how time works jn the realm to know how long she's been there. But. She's a safe bet in most people's books.

  • I wouldn't say that he's the defacto worst killer in the game, there's still Lf, GF and Fred after all. But he isn't in a very good state either.

@Nephs nailed it right in the head with the clown. The thing is he could be good. But right now he's just boring and too one dimensional. He still doesn't end chase as fast as most of the top killers can, and he comes with the con of not having any map pressure or slow downs.

If he can end chases faster or has a passive way of slowing down games and give pressure then he'd do way better. Plus having no movement on top of that.

There's a just way too many better reasons to pick up any other killer than him.

they said they didnt wanna give her Vile Purge any debuff's because "it would be too much like The Doctor"

that being said, i disagree wholeheartedly,

Huu interesting. Doctors only debuff is the exhaustion status.

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

They would have just omitted the fountains from being effected by Blindness. Just like they did with the Pig's Boxes.

I wouldn't want to see that. The fountains should stay visible. They're a way to get rid of the status afterall.

  • When I actually manage to get all four stacks of my BBQ & chilli stacks without the survivors DCing on me.

Anything with more than 2k would be fine, but if the survivors were toxic then even a 4k would've pissed me off.

As a survivor its when I don't get catch first and I actually make up the bp lost from theitems and offerings that I brought into the match.

  • The game just peaked last free-weekend. If the numbers keep up, I'm hoping it'll help persuade them to do so.

I really just play for BPs often time that means I get ranked up faster than I'd like, getting stuck in the red ranks where the only options are 1. play only the meta killers so that you actually can catch the survivors and have the survivors tell you that you'rea tryhard and that you should just #########. 2. play whatever you like and not getting any BBQ stacks by the time they gen rush you and stomp you, while the survivors are being rude to you in the chat telling you you're worthless. 3. they'd be rude to you for no real legit reason.

  • lol i just had a group get mad at me spamming ez because i had the audacity to use rancor. i don't understand lol, i didnt camp them i hooked everyone once for my bbq stack and i let them leave but they act like i arn over their dog.

  • people being mad at you in the chat, going on your steam and leave hateful comments, using slurs/hatespeech because you didn't follow noneexistent rules or let them have an easy win, or extreme cases where they harrass you and your friends on social media.

I was thinking about this last night about why the date was taken out.. I still think it was because it was wrong.. and the whole is it going on PTB.... but we forget... this will also have the Freddy rework.

Wonder if it will goto PTB and the PTB will have both Ghostface and the new Freddy on it.

    That might happen.

New Freddy comes after Ghost. In his own midchapter patch.

  • Great if he could have all three but I'd be fine if the snares were only an addon. It just doesn't fit thematically with the kit or his playstyle.

  • @BoredByDaylight said:

I was really hoping they would release it tomorrow as part of the livestream as a thank you and congrats to 3 years! I have my 9000 shards and 1,000,000 ready and waiting!

Didn't they make Licensed character only purchasable with real money? Which was why people were so mad about Mettle of Men because it was paid only.

  • It'd be way too strong because survivors would be able to get instant healing in the middle of a chase if they combined it with Spine Chill and Botany.

  • bump+

That's a great suggestion. It'd be nice if Windows of Opportunity got the same treatment.

  • Nah fam plague is meh and weak af because so much of her power are at the hands of the survivors.

  • Why go through all the trouble of having a set created for the trailer as well as another character and wasting it on a teaser when you guys could've included it with the chapter? Hope the set gets used for a map and the character in the future shame if they were wasted like that.

  • Because they used to just be temporary offerings for events. But they decided to just keep it for everyone because they got a lot of good feedback on them.

The question is now. Why are the 75% and 50% bp offerings so expensive. Survival category barely works and Sacrifice category is a mix bag if survivors dc left and right most of the time these two don't even make up for their initial cost.

  • As much as I dislike Legion.

Legion's kit is surprisingly strong at the moment after the rework,

    • great stall mechanic
    • decent map pressure due to easy hit application
    • normal chase capabilities due to the ability to gank up on survivors who are already injured.
    • smoll killer so earier to sneak up on people
    • playable on any map that isn't Lery's Institute.
    • decent perk synergy after the rework
    • next to doctor makes it very easy to collect bp

The Plague has a great perk on her but her kit is just lack luster at the moment.

    • Her stalling is surprisingly weak if survivors choose to ignore it.
    • bad at collecting bloodpoints
    • Her pressure isn't as good as it could be since she takes way more time than Legion to apply it, so she'll just get looped like any other m1 killer as every survivor above purple ranks chooses to simply ignore the sickness. So for 90% of the game you don't half access to half of your power.
    • Curing sickness fully heals a survivor unlike Legion who you need to heal on top of the mending.
    • Half of her power relies on survivors giving it to her.
    • Way more reliant on map than Legion. Being a lot of maps screw her if they have a lot of tall loops and tall walls, or she gets a big map.
    • below average perk synergy, cleansing healing the survivors being just one of them.
    • plague also has a problem of not pipping properly for some reason since she can't use the corrupt purge as much.

Legion is an easier Plague/Freddy hybrid that's actually kinda decent and good when played with certain builds.

Plague has the potential to be a great killer, but they were afraid of making her too powerful I supposed that's why they had to water down so many aspects of her kit as well as nerfing parts of it, they likely didn't wanna risk having another launch day Wraith/Freddy/Legion debacle where survivors review bomb them on line.

But there's hope. With some small tweaks to her numbers and once they figure out a way to have the survivor cleanse against her more she would be a way stronger and fun killer.

One of the ways I hope that they can do is when survivors are doing an action like repairing/saboing/healing the survivors actions get interrupted when they are Vomiting (think of it like the Poisoned Status in RE2.) Helping slow down the game down a bit for her as well as actually being able to use the other half of her power. You could probably even be an evil mofo and have them slowed too or not move at all if you're feeling some kind of way. But personally the interruption should be more than enough for me.

Sadly there's just not a lot of reasons to buy her over legion

  • But she can. thought the hitboxes are pretty insane and takes a lot of puke.

  • MoM is more a kin to Borrowed Time than DH or DS for me. Which is what feels irritating to deal with, because with DH a survivor still has to make the active choice of activating it at the right moment. Even then most of the time it just extends the game to one more pallet loop if the killer manages to wait for the survivor to activate it at the wrong time.

MoM can extend a chase way longer than DH, since it has a more powerful speedboost attached to it.

DS and BT are there to punish certain unfavorable game tactics by killers. Also even then the survivor still has requirements to activate it and the killer has options on if they'd like to pursue their targets or change it up by "not being toxic" towards the survivors.

Mom has the benefit of some the perks it gets compared to without any effort put into on the survivor part to activate it or options for the killer to properly deal with the perk, with its only real downside being that it is a one time use perk.

I do hope that *Perform 3 Protection hits* are its requirements, that sounds way to harsh. Two safe unhooks would be way nicer, since I liked that about old BT.

Ash is my horror movie hero. Evil Dead 2 is my favorite movie. I'd have bought and mained him if his perks sucked.

ED2 was my favorite. I wanna get into the show, which canon does the movie follow? (Each movie is basically its own canon with how each one retcons the last one)

  • Still plan on buying him even without mom being a god tier perk. I like the character and the voice lines are cool. If Bill was paid I think most people would buy him just based on it alone without the cool perks.

  • @Mr_K said:

I feel bhvr is going for quantity over quality. The three month release schedule is weighing too much on the health of the game. I don't know how anyone new can hope to catch up to this massive grind.

Yeah the bloodweb needs another overhaul. I have like close to 4k hours logged in and I'm really burned out with trying to collect all of the perks on my characters. Because I actually use most of the perks even if they aren't meta.

With the other roadmap the game's grind is going to get so much harder.

  • What @LCGaster said. the rights to the mask and the rights to the character/robe/costume as well as the film are held by different people. It was a big part on why the MTV Tv series had to use their own masks.

  • I really dislike Ruin, regardless of what side I'm at.

As a survivor I hate seeing that the perk not only has the good skill check penalty but also the regression penalty stacked on top of it, whilst I can do great skillchecks just fine. Most people cannot. So its super frustrating seeing the other survivors running around who can't do that wasting time.

As a killer I absolutely loathe feeling like I need to use the perk on every killer (I think pig can do without it with the rbt) because there's so many other perks I'd rather be running than something that is my inconsistent with how effective it is. It can last 15 seconds or it could maybe last for a hook or two.

There's just no middle ground with perk, it either becomes a none factor when a survivor spawns next to it or it becomes an annoyance that lasts for too damn long.

hag Kinda is d tier. She’s very add-on, Perk and map reliance. She’s slower and struggles on loops, you can also mind game average hag players fairly easy with her own traps. Swfs absolutely destroy her.

Struggles with loops? On what planet? Look I love the guy and I've sub after the quality of his content was corrected again. But the rank list was heavily flawed. Putting Hag that low for being add-on reliant when you've put Shape and Cannibal in the above average when cannibal is absolute ######### to play with without adding and half of his addons are still bugged is absolute bs or a massive oversight.

  • @Chi said:

Literally about every situation? These are some of my favourite addons, you don't need to play a specific style with it, it is just nice to be able to teleport to a tripped trap on the other side of the map, especially if you haven't found a survivor.

those are completely different set of addons. the ones i mentioned increase the radius of the traps not how far you can teleport to them.

  • From my games the fengs and Meg.

But it's mostly ash players now that are toxic in game and chat now since they have mettle of men to help them be toxic. Recently had a Dwight who told me I was ######### when he got a hatch because mom activated. I was an m1 killer not like I had a choice on when I can outplay the perk.

  • I swear the people who handled the make up for her and Kate did a homophobic job, like sis for real I haven't seen lines that harsh since miss Coco's run on S5.

I'd be fine if it also didn't look bad with the games homophobic lighting.

  • @Coriander said:

I really wanna make a joke here, but I think most people won't realize I'm just joking... I do feel your pain, and wish it wasn't magnificent Ash that got the powerful perk, so people give undue hate to him for that reason. Although Buckle Up is pretty weak, so maybe they thought it would balance out? I don't know, I'm just a big Bruce fan.

  • DC rates and percentage for all the killers. Mainly Freddy, Nurse and Legion.

  • Ive been playing with 5he Clown a lot recently.

Bbq, run, m&a and interchangeable with noed, stbfl and bamboozled.

  • The estate is hell to play on.

As a killer the foliage is insane and makes no sense with the size of the map and the amount of loops that's available on it. If I playing that isnta spirit, hag, Billy or nurse I'd just leave the match half the time because moving around without a movement ability on the map is bs on top of the stealth andloopingi options the survivors have.

As a survivor it's also be because the way some of the tiles and foliage are laid out are nonsensical. You'd look at something and it looks like you can pass then bam it's none passable. Or there are times where the logs and the bamboo would look like there's a vault there. Then bam it's just a normal log. It's almost as bad as the old Game with those fake stairs. XD

  • @gantes said:

This should be determined by where the fountains are.

If there is a fountain away from most of the objectives she has to patrol, there is no reason not to cleanse. The worst thing for a Plague is deciding between travelling across the map to get her power and losing all the objective pressure she has or to just not grab her power at all.

Cleansing in a fountain close to where all the action is tends to be a no-no though.

Ooof I try to cleanse like that too, because I know as a Plague a corrupt fountain near an objective is very powerful because you can easily catch survivors by surprise and if there happens to be two people repairing on a gen its a deathwish.

Then they can hide the whole lobby it is their choice to stream, they can make changes themselves to completely remove people from being able to snipe them is they wish too, again refusal to use what they can is on them not the others.

OOh perhaps like blocking the screen or blurring it while in lobby? i think obs has a tool for that.
