The extra bp from barbecue is added on after. You won't be able to see what the total BP is. Only the killer.

During double bloodpoint events, and with the use of multiples party streamers, I've gotten crazy amounts of bloodpoints in single games.

Ah, wasn't aware of that. I thought everyone saw everyone else's total.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2141815#Comment_2141815

As a killer its totally possible. Let's say you get 27.000 BP, with 4 stacks of bbq it's now 54.000bp, let's say you gave a survivor pudding..... You're now getting 81.000 BP.

    It's really not that uncommon

How do you stack a perk? This may be a stupid question but this is the first I've heard of it.

No? With barbeque on killer you get like 60 thousand each game. You still have to unlock all the perks for both sides, if you want ruin you kevel up hag to 40 then grind bloodwebs until you get it. You want borrowed time you level up bill to 35 and grind bloodwebs until you get it. Its the same exact thing on both sides

This is anecdotal but I have NEVER seen anyone come anywhere even close to getting 60,000 BP in a match. 30,000 tops. And even that number is fairly uncommon. 25K seems to be about the average peak, 4K or otherwise.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort, devs. But the amount of lore being put into new characters, it hardly leaves anything to the imagination AND it's getting more and more tiring to read. I reckon it should be saved for the archives and then killers are left slightly more open ended upon release.

Do you guys agree or disagree? Genuinely curious on this one

(tl;dr, lore too long and explains too much, I want less upon release to make killers more open to interpretation)

I honestly like that they put so much work into coming up with character backstories and so forth. Even the simple ones, like Meg (she was a jogger who disappeared, and whose body was never found) give interesting, sometimes creepy insight into who it is that you're playing.

I can understand the complaint that too much explanation ruins the mystique, I've definitely felt that about some things. But in the case of this game I guess you can always just not read it, not accept it as the "true" version of events. If I can do it with the Disney Star Wars trilogy, anyone can do it.

The first DLC I bought was the Halloween Chapter DLC. And yea, I kind of regret it. Because I only bought it because I wanted DS, and I had been waiting for DS to show up into the Shrine Of Secrets. But it never did, so I got the DLC instead, and guess what. One week later, DS shows up in the Shrine

Ugh, that's like buying an item at retail only to see it go on sale for like half price a week later. I know the feeling.

Yeah, but my advice would be stack 2 or more gen regression/slowdown perks.

My build would be: corrupt, PGTW, (spies from the shadows is good, but BBQ or I'm all ears also works) and forced penance.

So 2 gen slowdown perks, a tracking perk (spies is actually really good on him as having around the map pressure means nothing, he wants knowledge of the area he's in) and forced penance is good on him as it punishes one of his counters (body blocking the chain or person shot).

I honestly appreciate the advice but I still have a long way to go before I feel that I'm good enough at the killer side to start playing them regularly. With my crap memory I'll have forgotten all of this by then. :P

Because babies that want easy wins are spitting their dummies out as per usual.

While part of my post was just a self-indulgent and somewhat obscure film reference, yeah, I honestly don't understand the point of getting into such deep back and forth debates about something that the developers have already condemned as wrong, and claimed to be getting rid of. It's kind of a moot point by then, you know? The glitch isn't going to be saved.

I am playing with my second account. It is new. Opening all survivors perks took 5 6 weeks. And yes it is also long time because i played long times and challanges, WGLF, PH helped me with that.

But sadly killer part is harder. Because i just opened teachable perks and then i opened all of them on my main survivor. But now for killer part it will take longer time. Months possibly.

Old players maybe have not problem with that system. But this system is so hard for new players. Because there is so much characters. Devs needs rework this system.

What would you suggest as an alternative?

  • @Northener1907 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2141693#Comment_2141693

But survivors can get so easly all perks. And that is fair?

I think you raise a point worth discussing but I'm not personally going to weigh in on whether it's fair or not. As for the Survivors, it still takes a LONG time to get all the perks you want, unless you get lucky and come across them in the Shrine (remember to check that by the way). Some of the best survivor perks are locked behind the highest teachable level of a character I have absolutely no interest in using, so to get them means grinding with another character I've already BEEN playing as for a long time and then applying all of their points to that other character. I don't know the math but I'd be willing to believe that it takes half a million bloodpoints to unlock all of a character's perks. Maybe more.

It's a slow process for everybody. You have to remember, the people who have been playing this game for years have had time to work on each new character as they came along, rather than trying to work with almost 50 characters at once.

Yeah deathslinger is a B tier killer at best. His map pressure sucks so on most maps he's just plain bad. Those that have stuck to their guns will be Great at him due to the fact they have played him for a long time and are used to predicting strafes ect.

He was the third killer I picked up and enjoyed, used to be an only nurse and hag main. He's just super fun.

He's got a great look and a unique ability, I would think that more people would use him. When I start playing as killer more often he's one that I'd like to get good at.

  • Huh, never saw that before. Were you guys SWF?

Nice to see Lisa Garland, once I start getting around to using Heather I'll have to plunk down the twelve bucks to get her. Which is probably what the entire first Silent Hill game goes for nowadays, lol.

  • @StibbityStabbity said:

Did you mean to post the entire 3 hour session?

Lol yeah no offense but I'm not sure which part I should be checking out.

  • @CornHub said:

You could write a dissertation on why using those strats are okay & people would still ignore it all & try to dictate how "good" people should play.

Like you said, do what you must to win, but some people will never accept a lose.

I've said elsewhere (most recently in a thread where a bunch of killers were complaining that survivors are too stealthy) that the goal of the killer is to kill, the goal of the survivor is to survive, and every player should feel free to go about trying to achieve those goals in whatever way they find most enjoyable, as long as it doesn't break the rules.

This doesn't need to be much more complicated than that, but so many people out there seem hell-bent on making it so.

  • Quentin has such useless-looking perks. He and Ace shouldn't even be in this game. Is he actually the star of the Elm Street remake? The one that literally NO ONE in the entire world enjoyed? Folly on that turd.

I think that's Feng. I don't like her at all but her moans are very sad to listen to.

I'll have to make note of it next time. I'm assuming that none of the agony voices are recycled so I think it's just the one, and I'm pretty sure it's not Meg or Nea or Kate. I'll listen next time I rescue or hook a Feng, I've never played as her yet so I'm not sure.

  • In a situation like this, surely you should be able to contact customer support and provide evidence of your claim, explain your situation, etc. Obviously the system wasn't meant to punish players unfairly so if you can actually get a hold of a human who will listen to you, you should hopefully not have to sit through any more 5 hour bans.

  • @Northener1907 said:

Traps only can activate after gen finish. So in egc your traps will be useless. Devs nerfed that because so many Pig mains abused it.

Yui's cries actually makes me cry sometimes because I love her so much

I can't recall exactly which character does this but one of the women actually sounds like she's legitimately crying at one point, like a little girl would. As a grown man with the father thing going on that really bothers me. Might actually be Yui.

Bill, on the other hand, I get a kick out of facing. I laugh every time I attack or hang him, he sounds like an ogre. His voice is so hilariously fake-old.

  • Music rights are different, and much more complicated, than likeness rights. There are all kinds of albums that haven't been re-released because the entire band doesn't agree on giving permission, thousands of songs that are yanked from Youtube immediately because the copyright holder doesn't want them there, TV shows that have never been put on disc because the episodes had lots of music in them, etc. Even the WWE, when they released twenty years' worth of old content on dvd back in the early 2000s, replaced most of the original wrestlers' theme music with generic new stuff produced by the company because they didn't want to pay the original composer for the rights.

  • Silent Hill, because I'm a huge fan even though I won't be playing as Heather until I've moved through some other, better characters (don't like her perks) and Pyramid Head will have to wait until I get better at simpler killers.

Next came Saw. Haven't used Detective Not Danny Glover yet but I've played Amanda a few times, I like her. Wish she didn't have the pig mask but I understand the several reasons why she does.

Then Stranger Things. That one was a no-brainer. Good amount of content.

Everything else was a sort of case-by-case basis, taking long hard looks at the killers and survivors of each pack. I got everything when it was on sale about 3-4 weeks ago, spending a total of maybe $70 for basically everyone. Not bad for the amount of content. Then I went and did the same thing for the Switch Lite version, lol.

  • The game's got a deeper learning curve than I think non-players are aware of. When I first began playing the game my friend, who was somewhat experienced with it, spent half an hour with me running around a map (just he and I) showing me how things work, explaining the perk system, answering questions, etc. That's a half hour of direct interaction with someone who knew all the intricacies of the game and was patient enough to explain and demonstrate for me. I'd have managed without him, but I would have been a lot more lost. I still needed to browse the wiki quite a few times. I initially joined this forum to ask for other players who are chill and not out to win at all costs.

Then you take the second step and start getting halfway decent at the game. You meet stronger competition, you learn about all kinds of deeper tricks and strategies, you come to understand that most players on both sides hate the players on the other side, etc. It's absolutely a learning experience.

Is it too tough on beginners? At this stage in the game's life, with so much put into it and so many VERY long-time players, I would say yes. Not greatly, but that learning curve requires some tutorials or friendly hand-holding at first. You can wing it, but you're going to suck and make mistakes you don't need to make that much longer. Additionally I think everyone's in agreement that the matchmaking system is a mess and completely imbalances players of less skill with players of great skill.

I don't have the answers but long story short, yes, I think the game is a little tough on newcomers. It would be great if there were some kind of "Fresh Meat" lobby where players under a certain rank, W/L record, total playtime, or some other qualifier could go against other brand new players and learn the ropes with each other with relatively low risk.

  • Last week I had a 16 point rank defecit.

    16 points. On a 20 point scale.

  • Any of the women. I don't like the sound of their cries on the hook, they make me sad.

  • I was behind on several killer rituals today (Ghostface, Wraith, Legion) so I decided to do them all in a row. I was playing just for the ritual points, I figured that there was no reason to get sweaty and overly aggressive about it. As I always say, I play to have fun, not necessarily to win, so I relaxed and just did my chasing and stabbing, lol.

I could have gotten a number of kills and while I got a few hooks I made sure to take off and let the person get rescued. Points for me, points for them. In one match I met the survivors at the gate and while one of them was already starting to teabag and two others were spinning in circles I just stood there and nodded. They all took notice and stopped what they were doing. They were utterly confused. I nodded again. A couple nodded back, so I walked away. In all three games I let them go. I'm getting more than 30,000 points for each of the three matches, plus another ten or fifteen for the chasing and attacking, I can live without the wins. Let them have them.

In all honesty I wish I could have gone one step farther and been one of those cool killers who, after downing someone, brings them to the hatch or the exit and lets them go to make it clear that I'm not messing with them, I'm just being decent. The opportunity didn't come up. All the same, after each of the three matches I sent a message in chat that said "Just doing a ritual today. Enjoy your BP everybody! gg!" Don't know if they all saw it or not but at least one person did, and thanked me. You know, it honestly felt...good. I wish that there was a "Mad Puncher" non-killer in this game who's known for attacking people but being conflicted about what he's done and letting them go. XD

I participated, I played, I just went easy and let everyone live. I got some easy points, they got some easy points. We all had fun. Everyone's a winner.

  • I figured they were not being serious about literally spamming someone with hateful messages all night, lol. That's why I found it funny. :)

  • Just plain old Miketheratguy, unless you see MikeTRG which is my Switch name (Nintendo and their stupid space limits). I play almost every day, usually during this time that we've been talking, and almost always just solo. I'm always looking for fellow survivors who just want to have a fun and fair game.

  • I would listen to anyone's argument for nerfing or buffing someone. Sometimes there are valid criticisms to be found. Just saying "Him too OP, nurf plz" doesn't quite do it for me.

I find Doctor to be a fairly balanced killer, at least relative to some of the others such as Spirit or Wraith. I don't feel like losing is basically a foregone conclusion when I go against him, and I also find him fun to use. Can he spam his powers cheaply? Yes. Is that annoying? Yes. But OP? Nah, he wouldn't be high on my list.

Keep thinking, and go back to me when you play some killer. And now dont say you re a killer main, because i will not believe you.

Unless you have a casual mentality, theres nothing more to say.

I'm not a killer main. I don't have to be to recognize that ascribing negative attributes to someone just because they play within the boundaries of rules in a way that you yourself don't happen to approve of is, itself, childish. It's selfish to play this game expecting everyone to accommodate your own personal preferences. This game wasn't made for you. It was made for all of us. Feel free to go back through my comments, I have never shamed or insulted someone who thought that camping was fair play, even though from the sounds of it people like you are the ones who abuse the concept and legitimately make the game toxic for other players. "I don't like how they play so I'm going to call them names, mock them, and do something that they hate just to get back at them". Very mature attitude.

You're free to play the game how you like, how it entertains you, as long as you're not breaking the game's rules. Killers do plenty of things that annoy survivors. Survivors do plenty of things that annoy killers. The goal isn't to satiate one side, satisfy one specific playstyle. If you want to talk cowardice in terms of people who just hide all match or accuse people of having imaginary friends because they're juvenile enough to teabag and send stupid messages after the match, we can talk. If you're going to act as if someone playing stealthy is "wrong" and shame the people who do it, which inherently means that you're upset that survivors don't behave more recklessly and make your game more enjoyable by giving you more kills, then you're correct - there's nothing more to say.

Fortunately this isn't the norm for me, as I'm hoping that the picture you provided isn't the norm for you. If you ever want to play with someone who just wants to have a fun, relatively chill game feel free to add me!

  • "I will keep you up all night with a long string of messages telling you that you are literally a trash baby killer who needs to use dirty tactics to win"

LOL I legit laughed at that. The pure vengeful spite in that sentence is funny. :)

I also don't get it either. At least he doesn't spam his shots like Huntress and his hitbox at least feels fair. Predicting when he's going to shoot is also fun imo. I'd rather face 10 Slingers than having to deal with a single Huntress.

Unfortunately the opposite is more likely to happen.

That's interesting, Huntress may actually be my favorite opponent. I find her relatively balanced, a solid challenge but not overly cheap (my opinion anyway).

I honestly haven't faced Deathslinger enough to have much of an opinion on him. No one ever picks him. I've gone against him probably ten times or less. The good players made him seem a bit cheap but that's how it always goes. He's probably not much better or worse than most other killers from what I can tell.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ have had similarities. Literally got slugged, and I've just once just put the controller down, made a cup of coffee, had a cigarette, come back and thought "oh I'm still laying there" okay then il go make some lunch ๐Ÿ˜‚ then imagine having a message from the killer like "did you have fun?" ... "tbh mate I wasn't actually paying attention, why what happened?"

    That's the style right there.

"Haha, did you like what I did to you"? - "Huh? You mean your tantrum? You actually gave me the opportunity for a much-needed bathroom break, I can't say that I caught most of it. Maybe next time?"

  • In my opinion the bottom line is that players on both sides should play the game in a way that they find most enjoyable, as long as neither are holding the game hostage or otherwise breaking the rules. I detest looping, so I try to avoid it. I have every right to play that way. I also greatly enjoy the stealth aspect of the game. I put a thousand hours into Monstrum for the same reason. It's what I find most enjoyable. I have every right to play that way too. Killers may not like it, but it's not my job to make them enjoy their game more by playing how they might want me to.

If I get caught, the killer has every right to tunnel me. The killer has every right to drive me into a loop. The killer has every right to camp a genny, or camp me, or leave me bleeding on the ground while he runs off to get the person who just unhooked me. The killer has the same right to play the way he or she enjoys just as I do. I may not like it, but it's not their job to make me enjoy the game more by playing how I might want them to.

If they put the work in yeah they should escape, even if they don't encounter the killer. The survivor that does gens, and hides that's cool. Now I get it, survivors who just hides in a locker and do nothing. Now those survivors are not contributing, those survivors are just annoying.

I feel just fine escaping after having done gens and rescued teammates without getting caught because it means that I did a good job. That's the whole point of the ######### game. What, am I supposed to feel guilty that the killer didn't have a chance to get me and run out in front of him for a sympathy attack? The logic of some people astounds me.

You bet I feel good escaping without having encountered the killer. Just like the killers feel good about quickly killing all the survivors. As they should. BECAUSE ESCAPES AND KILLS ARE THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THIS GAME.

  • @xEzekanarioX said:

Playing stealthy only shows how bad and scared you are from the killer. Do you feel is fair escaping without having any contact with the killer?

If you want to play hide and seek go out with your imaginary friends.

I also camp that type of person if i find him.

"If you play stealthy you're a coward and a child. It bothers me that you don't make yourself available for me to kill. I'm the one who deserves to win this game because there's nothing cheap about playing as a killer, such as camping for example. If you play stealthy you have no friends and are a loser. If you dare to play in a way that makes you less vulnerable and is more entertaining to you I will pay you back, hard, for this grievous personal insult. You should be out playing hide and seek, I want to play tag. This isn't fair."

These are some really cogent arguments, you've given me a lot to think about.

  • I swear, some killers would only be happy if they were constantly chasing brightly-colored survivors with flashing neon signs on their backs that read "I AM HERE, PLEASE KILL ME".

Killers like to hunt and down the survivors. That's their goal. Survivors like to remain unseen and fix generators. That's their goal. That's the whole point of this game for both sides. I despise looping - I ######### hate it, I find it to be a stupid waste of time playing tag in a game that's supposed to be about horror - so as a survivor main I'm going to utilize the tools that were given to me to be stealthy and try not to get caught. Why shouldn't I? Why should I be considered a bad player just because I don't run around waving my arms? In fact isn't THAT behavior hated too?

Similarly I'm not gonna fault the killers for aggressively monitoring the generators or relentlessly pursuing every survivor they see. That's THEIR way of winning the game. They were given THEIR tools for a reason also.

I enjoy the hide and seek, cat and mouse, back and forth gameplay. I always will. That's why I got this game. It may be boring to the people who only want to chase, but as someone who finds it boring to loop and be chased all the time, we have to agree to the middle ground that we have. The goal of the survivor is to evade. The goal of the killer is to find. That's the name of the game.

Now, if a survivor is just straight-up hiding the entire match? Trust me, we hate that too.

  • To be honest I just wish the damn prop system worked. It would be nice to let other players know that I appreciated their game. That said, these ideas are cool too.

  • Whatever the Wraith has. They went and buffed a character to the point of essential perfection. He's invisible, insanely fast, and silent. All he needs to do is rush up on you from an angle you may not be happening to look in and boom, he's uncloaked and hit you. From there it's pretty much just prolonging the inevitable loss.

This is demonstrated by the (anecdotal) fact that I'm now against the Wraith four or five times more than I was before the latest patch, and I usually don't even know it until I or another teammate has been knocked down. It's a pain in the ass. What counterplay is there to someone who just suddenly appears right next to you and can hit you before you have time to get out of their reach?

  • BHVR has already said that this is an unintended mechanic that they feel shouldn't be in the game and they plan to take it out. Why is this still being discussed over and over again? Why? WHYYYYYYYYYY?????

  • Cheaters suck, but don't resort to their level. You'll be just as guilty of rule-breaking as they are, and as the better player, you don't need the possible consequences that come from that.

Oh, I get Trickster a ton. Immediately following his release I saw almost exclusively Trickster, I was easily getting him five times in a row. Lately he's still probably at least 50% of my matches when I play survivor.

But in terms of the maps I've seen him on... I know I played against him on Haddonfield, but I think I mostly get corn maps and Autohaven against him.

Oh gotcha, I misunderstood. Unfortunately I definitely get him everywhere. Not one map has escaped his rancid putrescence. I'd say that I get him most on the Farm, the Estate and the Auto Yard, but that's because those are the maps that the game insists on giving me 7 or 8 times out of 10. While several other killers haven't shown up on several other maps, this guy has "graced" all of them. Every single one. I cannot get away. Sometimes I wonder if I don't get maps that I usually never get (The Game, Hawkins), just so I have to deal with him on them. You can probably tell from my tone and choice of words how quickly this enamored me with the character.

  • I think the killer just gets more points for killing the obsession, unless they're using something like OOO in which case I think it makes the obsession's aura visible.

Freddy got added way later on Switch because licensing issues, so I believe they just forgot to turn the flag on that lets the map appear. Someone already reported it a long while ago, but without the information that its a crossplay off issue. I'll probably should make another report on this

That detail does make sense, I remember some reviewers being hard on the game because Freddy wasn't included (the Switch version didn't HAVE TO include any of the DLC, but I do see how they'd be miffed being that the game was originally full price). That's got to be where the issue comes from. I'll contact them about it too, it's definitely something that they should know about and likely not something that the average Switch user is aware of. Probably not a load of players bought the game for both it AND the PC.

    @TragicSolitude said:

I don't think I can remember ever playing against a Plague on Midwich.

There are probably other killers I haven't played against on Midwich, actually, since Midwich is the map I've gotten the least. I can't remember ever seeing Nurse or Blight or The Twins on Midwich...

There are a crapton of maps I haven't seen Trickster on since he's the newest killer. And there are definitely a metric crapton of maps I haven't seen The Twins on because I don't think the number of times I've seen them since their release even reaches double digits.

Based on your post total alone you've been playing this game MUCH longer than I have so this won't mean much, but I too have only seen the Twins roughly 5, maybe six times total. The Plague maybe a couple more, still single digits. Same with Blight. Those are the three killers I see the least, no question. Oni and Freddy would be next. Maybe Deathslinger. Beyond that I see everybody pretty consistently, with Trickster, Wraith, Huntress, and Spirit being the only ones I can count on seeing multiple times per day.

As I mentioned earlier I WISH I saw the Trickster as infrequently as the rest of you have. I swear, maybe it was because I was playing like a madman during that first week when he was released, but there were times when I'd get him five times in a row. That ######### got old fast.

  • The OP's chart roughly matches how often I see the characters. For example I see Dwight, Feng and Bill all the time but no one in their right mind picks Quentin, ever, and I strangely hardly ever see Ash either. I wonder if there's any confirmation bias here? Not trying to insult or make any accusations, just wondering if some characters seem more toxic because they're more often chosen and therefore more frequently allowed to exhibit toxic behavior. Just a theory.

For whatever it's worth I currently main as Meg and Dwight with Claudette and Nea next in the running and never act in a deliberately toxic fashion. So just remember: the next time you see one of them, they might just be good people. Until they reveal themselves with a teabag I guess.

    Hell yeah, Kate is nice.

Really wish I understood why I seem to get tunneled more often when I play as her, though. Especially since she's my main. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Don't take it personally. She's hot, the killers just want her.

If you play with crossplay off Badham can't appear, not even with the map offering. Only when you play with crossplay on or in a kyf match can it appear on Switch

Wow, that's an odd glitch. So odd I wonder if it's somehow intentional? Couldn't see why though. I always leave cross-play on so I suppose that would explain why I recall getting the map on the Lite. Did you contact BHVR about this?

  • The Nurse I faced on Dead Dawg (yep, only the once) was really good, but I wound up escaping. Knock on wood, I actually have a pretty good escape rate against the Nurse. Not perfect, but she's up there among the least threatening opponents I've faced. This is odd considering everything I hear about her. Same with Freddy - my escape rate with him is lower but I hardly ever see him which is weird given how strong people say he is (or was, but I never saw him much before the update either).

What's the Switch Badham Bug? Killers don't appear? Surely I've gotten that map on the Lite by now (though maybe it's a glitch unique to the Switch? "The Badham Bug Switch Glitch".

I've played against The Huntress in Hawkins lab only twice, I think, and to be fair one of those times was via offering. In fact that was one of my earliest matches, from literally my first week or two of gameplay. It led to one of my favorite little moments of DBD matches so far (don't mind the prattling commentary, I was recording some of these for a friend):

No no, I believe DBD is optimized on the switch to be lower than 720p (at least it looks lowered, not sure how it looks on the lite tho).

I have a Switch and a Switch Lite, tho I haven't tried DBD on the Lite. IMO I prefer the Lite, it's a lot more comfy.

Ironically enough I've gotten used to the A/B button swap, lol.

Actually everything I've read is that the game runs BETTER in handheld mode / on the Lite. I've seen that reported with relative consistency, from both critics and players. I've also read that it's 720, my understanding is that all games on the Lite are 720 but I could be wrong. It's certainly above 480. Granted, everything I've read about the game on the Switch / Lite comes from the initial release of the game for that system, and most of those reviews were average. That's because the game was fully priced but didn't include all available DLC, which turned a lot of people off. Also, the aforementioned worse performance in docked mode. The game was also more imbalanced back then, which earned a lot of poor reviews from people who hadn't played the PC version.

I'm not saying that the game is perfect (though I'm honestly forced to shrug my shoulders and say that I can't report any major complaints, as much as I know doing so would make me sound more objective). I've never, not ever had any problem hitting my skill checks either (I mean, any more than I sometimes do on the PC. The errors are mine, not the system's. If anything I find the timing on the Lite to be a little more precise).

Still hate the damn button reversal though, lol.

  • Ah right right, Unnerving Presence. Sorry about the confusion, I didn't realize that there were two different perks with such interchangeable names.

Wait, yeah. Oh my god I just realized how painful playing Nurse on Switch would be. Not only do they have low fps but the small screen... (unless they're docked but still that 720p tho, probably less)

I believe that the Switch is 1080 but I'm not sure as I elected for the Lite (I play everything else on PC, don't need another console). The lite is 720, it's actually crystal clear and very easy to see. The game runs smooth as well except for just a wee bit of drag when scrolling over bloodweb items or when bathed in light during a match.

Seriously, I know that the idea of DBD on a little portable system may be laughable but it's a surprisingly strong little portable. It's got ports of L.A. Noire, Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, The WItcher, Skyrim, Mortal Kombat 11, Saints Row 3 and 4, etc. It doesn't have any serious trouble running DBD which is a five year-old game. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I can go from it to the PC or vice-versa (which I often do, because they haven't yet implemented cross-progression) without any major issues. The reduced framerate isn't a game destroyer by any means, nor are the reduced textures. They're mostly on secondary objects, obstacles and stuff like that. Character models look great. All the sounds are there. The menus are the same, the Rift is the same, the shop is the same, it plays the same. It's literally the exact same game but with a lower (yet still smooth) framerate and some lower-res textures here and there. I'm actually immensely pleased with it. If anyone wants to see for themselves and looks for it on Youtube, keep in mind that the game has been updated since most of those videos (which, in my opinion, already look great).

The one thing I don't like though? The stupid reversal of the A and B buttons from the 360 controller that I'm used to using on the PC.

Probably doesn't help much but here's a quick picture I took of my 4K to help illustrate what the Lite version looks like. It's a blurry picture of an in-game screenshot because the only way I'm aware of directly uploading in-game screenshots on the Lite is through facebook which I tend to avoid.

  • Doesn't the Trapper have this same perk or something similar? I recognize the name but have never played as the Doctor. Either way yes, I remember it as being kind of lame. I think Trapper's is different though, I remember it as being something about "40 percent smaller skill check zone" or something. Actually that doesn't sound TOO bad, but I think it was another "within terror zone radius" thing which made its practical use pretty minimal.
