The vampire girls being a killer would be the biggest letdown in DBD history, this coming from an RE fan.
I know, which is why it's got a good chance of happening

Devs could easily prevent the stretch resolution issue
how do you know?
-
- killer vs survivor is a completely different game, it's not like different sides on LoL at all
- you can only co-op as a survivor
-
Survivors: Leon & Jill
Killer: one of the vampire girls in RE: Village
Map: mansion in Louisiana
-
If the pyramid head "clue" was any hint, I'd say it's one of the witches(daughters?) of the big boob vampire lady. Idk I never played any of them, but they carry a scythe that's very similar to the stylized 5 in the teaser.

This is by far the most iconic match of DBD ever, no one can convince me otherwise
-
Yeah take a break and play PoE or Fallout or something
-
Came in here thinking it would be stupid, but these are great solutions to obvious problems. Given their track history - they won't be implemented though. I suggest saving your money, and only play when it's fun!
-
yeah who could forget a face like that?
-
for people who are as confused as i was - currently breakdown is bugged and the hook doesn't respawn.

After a literal page of topics on the PTB Feedback forum, there was not so much as a simple reply.
"Yeah, it's going live for a bit to see what happens."
"We're slightly adjusting it by doing x."
No idea why we couldn't even get something as simple as the examples above :(
Do you think they read this forum..??

this is what I think will happen

Because they're checking skill. It doesn't matter if the threshold is pretty low, it's still a check. Like when paramedics ask a patient if they know what day of the week it is.
True story if a patient gets that question wrong there's an explosion and the killer is notified
-
It should come to no surprise that they can't code/implement a chat filter correctly, given their history
-
You're so right, that's why nurse is at the bottom of every tier list. It's why every tournament has NO ONE picking or banning nurse because she's just so weak..... LMFAO
jesus listen to yourself

OP, I could point out every sentence I disagree with in your post, but I want to hone in on why you're so upset and frustrated:
"(borrowed time change is good...) but its interesting how most of these changes to things on the killer side are nerfs or come with drawbacks but everything on the survivor side is a straight up buff. Also interesting how borrowed time seems to have had more buffs than any other perk the past few years or so."
You have a skewed perception of what game balance is and what it's aims are. Buffs and nerfs are not points towards some scoreboard somewhere. Say a perk gets buffed 10 times. WOW TEN TIMES IN A ROW?? But what is the buff? The perk is "Gain a 1% speed boost for 5 seconds at the start of the match". And each buff has buffed the duration for 1 second. Now it's been buffed 10 times and lasts 15 seconds... but it still sucks!!
This is why you have to stop thinking of every buff or nerf as "the other side winning now". One patch can be full of killer nerfs and survivor buffs, and that can be a good thing. Why? Because there are things on the killer side that are too strong, and stuff on the survivor side that are too weak. Is it the other way around though? Of course! There's so many things in this game that are able to change, start looking at the whole picture of what is balanced and what is too strong/weak.
-
"stealth based Legion"
LMFAO WHAT? Legion is good for injuring multiple survivors and then getting looped by one survivor over and over because all he can do is M1 at that point. Wraith is good at ambushing one survivor at a time..
Your post is like saying "Wraith is a stealth based Trapper without bear traps" ... lol
-
go in for the save right after he shocks and you can get them
-
I think you can drop the Q&Q from the original build, I've found (with comms talking to the killer on KYF) that it doesn't matter if they know i vaulted or not- You'll make so much distance that they can't track, that if you time it right you'll just disappear. Iron Will is still a necessity though
I'll have to try just DWM on it's own though, I always thought it was useless without the combo
-
It's not for me, but I'm glad you are enjoying it
-
Can we all pause for a moment and appreciate.. THERE'S GUN RECOIL ON THROWING KNIVES
-
It's a nice change of pace, everyone is SO QUIET in DBD. At most there's a laugh when you hit someone, but the survivors don't even talk to each other. In another universe this game could have a chat wheel where your character says something that nearby survivors (and killers!) can hear. Something like.. "help me repair this", "go save them!", "let's get out of here!", etc.
-
The PTB's main function is NOT to have patches that arrive balanced and optimal. It's about 2 things:
- Generating hype for the game, giving streamers something to do and talk about
- Minimizing game-breaking bugs (they still go through most of the time though lol)
Funny enough, it's very similar to forums like this one. Do you think they're clamoring for ideas on how to balance the game or care what enfranchised players want? If any game dev that's even close to making choices within the company reads this forum on a regular basis, I'll eat my hat. Their goals are to keep people playing/watching by releasing new content occasionally, and bring in new players. Best not rock the boat when you could risk an exodus of players

inb4 @TricksterisUnderrated starts posting here every day LOL

yeah mine was a joke thread, i even thought he was terrible with 115% move speed, but he's actually worse than I thought....

HOLY ######### NO WAY HAHAHAHHAHAH
I actually had to google that, I thought for sure he's at least 115... wow.

People are salty ^ but I just remind myself how Deathslinger was perceived when he came out.

Dunno who you mean, I'm watching gameplay on mute and laughing my ass off just thinking if he was any other killer how he'd get hits in by the time the lacerations build up

Why would you grind for useless perks???

Audio bug is a free space in the post-patch bug-BINGO game

I think he's the most balanced killer in the game. Not too strong, not too weak. He's fun to play against because you can actively counter-play him by choosing to close the seals or not, dodging his shred, as well as paying attention to his sounds. He's fun to play as killer as well because STFBL is very easy to build up stacks, and feels so good to M1 into shred before they can get away. He's also a monster, which makes him unique in DBD.
-
Why are killer addons in the game? I think we should answer that question, because I don't think BHVR knows, they certainly don't tell us.
- If they're there to counter a good team that you'd otherwise get crushed by... then why can you only pick them before a match, when you have no idea how good the survivors are?
- If they're there as training wheels, to make it easier when you're learning... then why are they so abundant that you can keep them on all the time?
- If they're there to balance killers... then why not make them base kit and remove the broken ones, and get rid of all addons once balance has been established?
- If they're there to customize your build to your liking, then why so few of them actually do that, and the ones that do are much more rare? Best example is scratched mirror Myers, turning the game into something completely different, but almost all addons are just strictly upgrades, or (for some reason) strictly downgrades. And if they were a customization thing, why not have them permanent like perks?
So far their best function is Bloodweb-Fodder and a way to guarantee a win if you're having a bad day or something. A lot of this applies to survivor addons as well of course, and survivor items. Why not bring a purple medkit every chance you can get? It's up to the community to balance the game by choosing not to "try hard"...
-
I'm a PC blight player and I think it's a stupid exploit. They designed the killer to have limited turning, but you can flick if you've got high enough sens? It's clear they accidentally programmed it like this and can't understand how to fix it or just can't be bothered. It's the same thing with Billy. If he came out now people would laugh BHVR out of the room with how weird and ######### up his turning/flicking is... but everyone's just got used to it because back then it was a janky party game from an indie dev.

I'm not looking for a free pip. I just worry that people may depip for it .
right but if you just do 1 gen and escape - do you still black-pip? I don't know offhand
-
If you de-pip for doing gens and escaping, then it's a problem - you should at the very least black pip for escaping an AFK killer. You SHOULDN'T pip up because it was a free win... no challenge in that
-
Ah... I can see into your mind... you like Castlevania, don't you?
-
Outplayed! Clearly they're just better gamers
-
It's pretty funny how obvious certain killers need to be nerfed (Freddy, Spirit, Nurse) and certain need to be buffed (Legion, Trapper, Wraith) but the changes are glacially slow.
-
Zesty are your arms tired from moving the goalposts so many times?

and then .. and then he kept crouching and standing repeatedly and using his flashlight to make noises!!! SOMEONE BAN HIM PLEASE I CAN'T TAKE IT!

holy ######### i lost it when the Plague was dribbling Claudette like a basketball in a looney tunes show

My friend really wanted to play so I updated the game and finally tried it out. It's unplayable as survivor right now. You have no idea where the killer REALLY is so you're just guessing when to slam the pallet. And even when you slam it early, the hit still gets through. I'm not going to bother with the game for a while, because I know when they fix this problem (which somehow isn't the highest priority), new bugs will be added.
Honestly, it's just embarrassing.
-
Interesting change, it would need a lot of tweaking. With your method you can still get quick shot if you're out in the open - punished for bad positioning. Only thing I'm afraid of is that it could be impossible to shut down certain loops because you'd be just like the huntress where they could duck in response to your aiming.. but you couldn't hit over pallets like she can. It might make it more fun to play against, but deathslinger is already not a fantastic killer, and this would be a straight up nerf.
-
Google what "asymmetrical" means please
-
I also hope that the nerf isn't simply adding a 1 second animation to unlocking... but there's no reason to believe that is the nerf.. so why worry? We will just have to wait and see :)

Don't be such a killer main. Crazy right?
So if you think a killer is too weak and needs a buff... you're a killer main? Seriously?
This is your brain when you only play 50% of the game..

anyone else can't stand the ADHD editing? Just show the gameplay ffs

If you are waiting you aren't getting anything out of the bottle AND you used it poorly. It takes practice but saying your bad play with it shows it isn't effective is a poor argument.
Please re-read my post... I haven't played Clown since the rework, so your insults missed the mark. The gameplay I've seen is from Tru3talent, Hexy, and Otzdarva.

Every Clown I've seen thus far since the update still only use the purple tonic gas.
From the gameplay I've seen, if you don't time it perfectly (which is extremely hard and only works in very open stretches of space) it's pointless. If you have to stop moving for a second or two for the gas to speed you up, you've done nothing but lose a bottle. When it works, it saves you a few seconds which is nice, but that's 1 less bottle
Turns out all he really needed was a buff to his reload speed.
