The answer lies in interaction.
You can hear when Nurse charges up, determine how far she will go based on how long she charges up for, and see the direction she blinks in. With this in mind, you have a lot of indicators and information to react to what she is doing.
With spirit on the other hand, you have no indicator and no information other than how her power works. So with no information on your end, it just feels like you are mindlessly guessing and hoping for a favorable outcome.

When you start to get to a point where things stagnate in the game, try playing for the memes / challenges.
Learn a difficult killer like Nurse which is really rewarding. Or follow the killer around with a beamer and try to make meme plays.
If the mentality is to win / only do objectives then you'll start to burn out.

Loool glad you liked it. Spent a few minutes on IDE writing the shitpost :).

Leaked code of DBD Map Generation:

So what you're saying is, you want survivors to gen rush you????
-
Stealth is actually the most effective strategy at top levels of play. Only balanced by the fact that it's extremely boring so good players usually don't do it.
-
This basically rewards you for sitting in a locker the whole game waiting for your team to die. You're basically guaranteed an escape if you are uninjured.
-
Corrupt Intervention and Ruin / Undying. Use one or both.
Also don't try to go for a 12 hook game. You'll lose if you try to play too nice.
-
Deathslinger can't be turned into an interactive killer without completely gutting him. And since he's already released, he's here to stay.
-
Increasing movement speed by 5% is not a tiny buff. It's a massive buff.
Also, how much have you played hag? Because if you teleport immediately and M1, you should almost always be able to hit the M1. And Hag faces the direction of the survivor when teleporting....
-
I thought this was going to be another type of thread from the title.
-
Congrats. Would you like a medal?
-
But then that would turn my BK Myers into a Mcdonalds Myers.

Mods for having the thankless job of navigating through a dumpster fire of flame every single day.

It's easier to blame external factors than to blame yourself for a loss. Creates an endless shitstorm where it was always someone else's fault and the mentality gets passed around and around.
-
As if this offering wasn't annoying enough with a 4 man SWF key squad.
-
It's not. But it also doesn't make you any better at killer. And it's a pretty boring strategy imo, since you basically will be dropping chase every 10 seconds.
It works well in low ranks because survivors are afraid of terror radiuses, but in higher ranks, unless you get a map like azarov's it's probably not going to work.
-
Someone must have had a rough weekend getting that fixed.
-
Good counterplay to me requires interaction from both sides. Where either side has the chance to "outplay" the other. A good example of really well designed counterplay is Blight's rush. Survivors need to know where blight can use his rush to avoid it, while blight has to predict survivor pathing to land it.
Technically, the best "static" counterplay to killer is to gen rush every game. And the best counterplay to survivor is to tunnel and camp with NOED every game. But both requires no interaction so to me it's not good counterplay.
-
Hag rewards unfun playstyles for survivors. Essentially not getting into chases and camping hooks.
-
Too much to balance. You'll just have everyone running two survivors.
-
Because despite how much players try to convince you that the game is survivor or killer sided, it's really not that imbalanced. Losses in 99% of games could have been prevented with better play.
-
Or the devs could just

Burger King healthier than Carl's Jr. confirmed
-
You played well. Most players in this game have no clue what they are talking about.
On a side note, that killer was a bloodlust tier 10 Andy.
-
Looks like a hack. There was a killer using something similar on Dave18's stream. Basically it's a hack that makes it look like you're lagging but you can tell it's not a lag switch because he's clearly speedhacking at 0:26.
-
Mechanically easier killers have higher win rates. Which is also why you see Freddy / Doc / Bubba at the top. It means people that don't main these killers can easily play a few games and win without learning a ton of mechanics.
Another way to look at it is, if you have someone who doesn't main huntress and plays her for one game, that player will probably get a 0K, which significantly drives down the huntress average. Whereas, someone who only plays Freddy once probably still gets a 3/4K.
Also pig is very good at slowing down gens, which can be devastating in solo queue. Probably also why Freddy and Doc are at the top.
-
To be fair, Nurse and Billy were both considered very strong killers with Addons.
Myers on the other hand, isn't considered a strong killer, and arguably is on the same tier as Bubba before his buff. Much like Bubba, they could buff Myers addons. I honestly doubt they would nerf Myers given that he is a C tier killer and given how popular he is.
-
Press E to die? No counterplay. Nerf.
-
From a anecdotal standpoint, my undying usually gets cleansed first.
From a mechanical standpoint though, the only way that undying could have a higher cleanse rate than other Hexes is if the totem that's cleansed is calculated AFTER the cleanse, and doesn't load in when you spawn. This doesn't make sense though because we know for sure that NOED spawns randomly after all the gens are done. Likewise, a Undying totem that spawns in the beginning of the game will never change into a NOED totem.
From a balance standpoint, Ruin / Undying is busted.
-
This seems to be a result of long queues on the survivors side.
Essentially, matchmaking looks for players with a base range depending on your rank (e.g., making this up, but let's say it's +- 4 ranks of you. If you are rank 3, then your base range will be 1-7). For every X amount of time, it will increase that range if it can't find players within that range.
When queues take too long, the range expands really far, and it will essentially match you with anybody. Since survivor queues are really long compared to killer queues right now, you will get matched against the first killer / survivors that can be found.

I thought you were actually talking about mobile.

I cross-played with a bunch of PS4 friends yesterday and they were super salty at the fact they couldn't 360 me because I play on PC.
Off topic I know but it's pretty hilarious tbh. 360s shouldn't even be a thing at this point, it's technically an exploit anyway.
Exploiting people being bad.

The instant ADS however requires some FPS experience to be pulled off successfully with the frequency some people claim it's being pulled off.
And that's what I meant about learning what he can shoot through/over. So many people try to run him like they'd run Huntress, as if they believe doing so will suddenly change his ability.
Your average Deathslinger player will probably need about as long as a regular Huntress to ADS and shoot, the whole 'just have the surv in the middle of your screen' argument is pretty nonsensical (again, only pans out if someone has massive FPS experience).
And even giving him a definite wind-up time wouldn't do anything about the second point: people blatantly ignoring what his power can do. Like, the know he has a set range, the see the reload animation go through, and still they stand there as if they expect him to walk up and try to m1 them instead of using his power.
How does creating 5 threads with the same topic change anyone's mind about whether they think deathslinger should belong in the game?
Edit: Honestly feels like a bait at this point. You ask people why they don't like slinger, they explain. And then you use that as "evidence" to start a new thread about people disliking slinger. Endless cycle.
-
How many deathslinger threads are you going to make?
-
Agreed with this. At the bare minimum, I don't think it's too hard to tweak ratios and it would be healthy for the game. Although I will say that the forums community is pretty terrible when it comes to changes. No matter what gets changed, someone will find a way to mald over it.
I would like to see more iterations of changes backed by data. Yes, people will find a way to be angry, but it shows that the devs are trying.
On a side note, I play nurse and agree that she's OP, but I don't want her to be nerfed.

I swear to god I'm the only ######### person who find nurse fun to play as and against.
Nurse is extremely fun. Nobody wants to spend the 15 hours it takes to learn her to a playable level.
-
Gotta balance nurse with bugs

Going to be hard to take away if it is a mess-up.

PSA: Log into the game and check store for Free 1K AC.
Presumably because Halloween Event is linked to Rift Pass which costs 1K AC. But this is better because you can use the currency for other stuff if you don't want the pass.
Thanks BHVR.
-
My guess is because T1 Discordance was better than T2 and T3.
Edit: Should increase the range though.
-
It's possible to hit Rank 1 on any killer. Focus on fixing your mistakes when you lose.
I would slap on Ruin / Undying and play with stalk addons every game if you absolutely want to win.
-
As long as you're not slugging everyone at 5 gens, and you win, you should be able to pip on her.
-
Maybe wait a few days for confirmed information before you get the circle jerk going?

I started playing it.

According to the devs, it's not cheating. And I don't blame him, especially with how dark the new map updates look.

Never.
