Yooo you press too hard haha, I understand because I also apparently grip very very hard when playing games. Idk how to ease up on it but it's defs us, and not the controllers themselves

I don't think any other healing mechanic should stack with COH, other than teammates healing you.
I think so too, I don't play survivor as much but the few I've done with my mates and CoH it started to feel pretty gross in the matches we had beefy medkits to boot
-
I feel like maybe the medkits shouldn't stack with the effect and it would be nice if maybe after you snuff the same boon twice then it cleanses and survivor must find another totem. I'm not an expert though and dunno whether that would be too oppressive or not

It's 4 bullies on discord, coordinating via voice chat to bully a lone player.
It's impossible for anyone to beat a good coordinated SWF group. They will communicate your location to each other and gen rush you. You can't even waste time chasing someone down, because as they loop you, he's telling the others where he is looping you, while they safely fix gens.
SWF should only be allowed in Custom matches. Go bully your friend Killer. Leave the general public out of your bullying,
Damn my SWF is trash we get beaten all the time lmao

Then I apologise if my words were confusing, or outright misleading.
All I have to compare to is my time playing the game. And that was what I was trying to say. Glad we (sort of) agree then 😃
I gotcha now no need for apologies! :)

I stand by what I said. Saying the game is better now than at launch is irrelevant and not the point I'm making. I'm saying it is worse for killers now than at any point on the last two years.
I have yet to hear a considered argument to convince me otherwise, as your points again fixate on "the early days".
I can agree with that, the wording of it made me think you were saying it's harder than it's ever been EVER! Since MMR killer has been a bit dicey for me more than usual :/
-
Sucks to be you, I'm a Twins main and you bet your ass games are still like shooting fish in a barrel. Perhaps that speaks for itself, you gotta be in 2 places at once to be OP ;)

Been playing for two years. Killer main the whole time. This is by far the worst and hardest time to play killer. So many nerfs, and so many survivor buffs.
My experience speaks for itself. The game is much harder than it used to be. Fact.
Not a fact, @MrsGhostface is correct. 2 years is not very long, you don't know the pain of the early days. Infinites, no window blocking, toolboxes with charges for days etc. Killer is definitely in one of the best places it has ever been, boons have made a little dent in that, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
-
Never gonna happen unless custom games allow you to earn BP and complete challenges. I do wish at the end of the game you could see who was in SWF, it will highlight how most SWFS are dog ######### lmao
-
I THINK we can change the bindings?? I feel your pain, though I've never changed the buttons because when dumb stuff like that happens to me it's usually pretty damn funny and I get a good giggle out of it hahaha. My favourite is when you try to pick up a downed teammate but they are lying under a pallet and instead of healing then you slam the bloody pallet down and the killer starts wandering over XD

"I'm happy people continue to support a game run by developers who deceived their community and are in support of objectively harmful technologies, such great people :)"
Aaahh but you see, people can't be deceived if they don't even know about the whole debacle. Most DBD players are blissfully unaware of this entire debacle as most gamers are casual and don't bother following the companies who make the games they play.
-
I am. Mostly because getting a 4k usually isn't my aim when playing, it's to have fun. Those few matches where I do try to kill everyone has been admittedly harder than I'm used to lately, but then I just go back to having fun and messing around instead of worrying about the results.
-
It's true that getting someone out of the game asap is a good way to get a foothold on the match. But then half the time while I'm focusing on getting that survivor out the rest of the team slam gens while I do it anyways? I'm a Twins main so the only way I mitigate that is by using Victor's mobility to harass people off gens WHILE focusing on one person to kill as Charlotte. I dunno how people pull that off with killers that can't be in 2 places at once D;
So nowadays tunneling is my last resort only if they've already been pounding out the gens, otherwise I tend to be better off sharing the harassment between the survivors to stop them from getting the exits powered before my 2nd hook (which is again only really possible for me using Victor). Halp :'(

Same can be said about your smartass response.
I legitimately always eagerly await @Clownings smartass responses because they are too funny
-
Not any weirder than r/dbdgonewild pairings. Love that sub tho
-
When I cleanse what I think is ruin but it's actually haunted grounds and the person currently in chase goes down immediately ><
-
It really is to just chill if you wanna go lower, try and bother all the survivors evenly without going out of your way for a down + hook. Juggle evenly between them, they'll usually still be able to get the gens done and escape and you will still get decent BP and interaction without any kills

Let me ask a question. Showing my middle finger when an elevator door closes is a rude or a toxic action?
For me rudeness is just kinda being grumpy, toxic is purposefully go and annoy someone to get under his/her skin.
Also, if I would create a post saying T-bagging is rude. People would justify it regardless, doesn’t matter how you define it.
Do you think if the devs would create popping up text bubbles with cursed words wouldn’t the T-baggers use those instead?
Middle finger when an elevator closes? That's just rude man. It'd veer into toxic if you scream out "too slow ya fat b itch lose some weight!"
Yeah you're right about people justifying it anyways, but how you define it really does matter. Everyone throws around toxic to the point that when people actually display toxic behaviour it gets relegated into "oh whatever it's just a game" because people aren't differentiating it at all.
Again, toxicity by definition in this context is extremely harsh/purposefully malicious/harmful, in game movements are not and never will be toxic by definition because they are not extremely harsh/purposefully malicious (purposefully rude + bad sportsmanship YES but not MALCIOUS) or harmful actions. Unlike personal attacks and harrassment, which are toxic

So it means I can hit the survivor on a hook and I can t-bag with ghost face it won’t be toxic.
The issue with this mentality that it’s all about bragging, and t-bagging is toxic. I have never seen people T-bagging in the open field against a T3 Myers or Bubba.
Why?
No no no, people on DBD really seem to have gotten toxicity confused with BM or rudeness.
Merriam-webster: 3. extremely harsh, malicious or harmful... this is the definition of toxic in this context. That would be referring to, you know, endgame chat stuff/personal attacks/twitch brigades etc. Teabagging? Does that sound extremely harsh, malicious or harmful? Same goes for hitting on hook, sure can be feel a lil rude but toxic is reaching so far it's not even funny. The term toxic is thrown around so willy nilly here it's mind numbing
-
I use coup and usually down people at the end of their dead hards anyways it's so dirty muhaha

Don't get me wrong I'm not disagreeing with the statment that the more you play the less scary it gets. That's very true and very applicable to DBD.
Ask yourself why is it hag can make you jump. It pops out at you and can be very unpredictable. Its a good jumpscare which peole always say are cheap but you inevitably get desensitized to the non-jumpscare aspects.
The more unpredictable things are the longer shelf life it has to be generally scary.
Also the point you make being injured not being a death sentence kind of plays into what I'm saying, its really not a death sentence but it really should be because that creates the fear of getting injured and the need to heal up or potentially die. Being injured isn't severe enough to make it scary.
So how does the game keep you on your toes, unpredictable high threat. Not really achievable with the very mundane m1 loop and mindgame elements that we are all desensitized to.
I get what you're saying now, yeah people may say the jump scares are cheap but I'm glad they still get me coz they remind why I started playing in the first place. I usually main killer but last night had some friends wanna SWF and we tried out CoH and jeeeezzzz..... it really did dampen that "aarrggh i needa find a medkit or teammate" panicky feeling because I could just go to the boon. Killer kept snuffing it but I would literally just relight it every time I had a chance, must have done it about 4 times??? I'm not usually one to think things are too powerful in this game but man.....
-
Oh yeah and survivors hiding behind pallets to smash them over your head when you are mindlessly patrolling, that still jumpscares me sometimes lol
-
Sorry but I don't think theres anything this game could ever bring that has me feeling like I did when I was new and inexperienced. The only thing that still gets me jumping sometimes is hags traps. You say it's not about how long you've been playing for and it's about "tension" but how am I meant to feel any tension as either killer or survivor when I've been playing this for years? Like yeah....there was a lot of tension back when I thought getting injured was a death sentence or that losing a gen meant game over. That's long gone with experience and desensitization no matter how you wanna slice it

Be careful the killers may start complaining about sprint burst + new vigil buff 😉
Haha I'm lowkey hoping people don't pick up on it so DH can stay the target of the vitriol
-
Never use dead hard, I'm on last gen console. Tried it once and it messed up my game lol. Nowhere near as good as SB + Vigil imo, once you get used to timing the exhaustion so you can recover it mid chase it's constant getaways

I think he means when the killer is within a certain radius of the survivor, not another survivor
Yeah people would loop around the hook so that the hooked survivors timer would just not run down
-
Coz you find it fun. I know I do, as a Twins main I could do the slug + camp everyone to death on first hook kind of thing but that got pretty boring to me fast because my priority is to entertain myself. If I incidentally score a 4k, even better.
And if getting a 4k is what's fun for you that's okay! Fun should always be the incentive for how you choose to play in games

Idk man, I have loads fun even if I lose. Depends on your expectations maybe? Or perhaps what your goals are in game, mine are 1. Make myself laugh 2. Make progress towards whatever challenge I'm doing. If I get a 4k while doing it well that's just a bonus
-
I started off as a survivor before I switched permanently to killer so when I see sandbagging teamates it's an immediate ohhh no you don't you lil bastards!!!
-
The only killer I hit survivors on hook with is Plague I like to vomit on them because lol it looks so stupid and funny and is kinda cathartic if they looped me really well XD

A better censorship program, one that instead of randomly guessing if a word should be censored or not, it's just a list of censored words. I don't care if people find work arounds by going "fluck" instead of "#########". That's funny.
Taking harassment reports more seriously. More serious punishment for things like bigotry, encouraging suicide, and critical derogatory terms. No more of this hand holdy - wrist slapping punishment.
A band aid fix could be to just add the ability to remove the chat option in settings before and after the game, so you can't even have the option in the before game, and end game lobbies to open it. It becomes too much of a hassle to turn on, and it benefits from "out of sight, out of mind".
That's only 3 things that are easy to implement. Other games have been doing 100x better at stopping toxicity in their games. Square Enix is a prime example of a company that expertly handles toxicity in their games.
We also have to stop blaming the community for being toxic, and start blaming the people that let them be toxic.
Edit; I don't care about teabagging, flashlight clicking, hitting on hook, etc - things you can do in game. I consider that twerking and raving. It's the allowance of the amount of hatred in the game that gets me.
Gotcha now, and agreed, I forgot about chat and was thinking you were referring to twerking and raving!

And is tbagging really toxic? I mean come on people it's a little VG model going up and down!
Hahaha it's definitely NOT toxic imo, same with hitting on hook and clicky clickies and all that jazz. At most it's maybe bad sportsmanship (emphasis on the maybe) but straight up toxic? BAGH!
-
Yeah if I were a survivor and someone is going down to basement with Bubba I am not going down there lol slam gens and get out. Nothing feels better than having an entire team of survivors who have pretty much won blow it tryna save one person XD
-

They could actually look at reports or establish a better system to submit chat logs. After that it's simple, drop racist, sexist, or violent chat and boom insta ban.
Oh yeah true I forget about endgame chat sometimes coz I'm on console, when OP mentioned stopping toxicity I was thinking in game BM like teabagging and wondering how that would be possible?? But abusive messages etc. yeah that's toxic
-
Errr... maybe don't ready up if you're going off to do something else entirely? I get when you go off to pee or quickly doing something and you come back a bit late to the match but it sounds like you just said you are pressing ready and then literally getting off DBD???
-
@UnknownKiller said:

Well there is an easy way for clickiers
Add charges to flashlights like charges but not like now more like bubba does.Lets say max charges are 7 each click consumes one charge.
Each charge is 5 secs if you keep pressing it.You can hold it to consumes charges but once you stop pressing ur mouse the charge is consumed.
I don't think clicking a flashlight is toxic though?
-
I'm curious to hear your suggestion on how they are meant to fix toxicity o.O

I honestly feel like good survivors are the ones to worry about and I am not overestimating them. You are correct that most are kind of bozos and this might help killer more than hurt it in most circumstances. But, the potential is very high. Even if they cannot figure out how to tap into it... Somehow.
Oh yes definitely! I am genuinely nervous about encountering my first group of organised and competent survivors using boons to their full advantage D:
-
Does this mean my mate will stop screaming through the headset about being exhausted on the ground when I'm tryna concentrate??? Hahaha
-
Yall keep overestimating the survivor playerbase. Remember the hysteria over counterforce ruining the game forever? Let's see just how common and useful this really ends up being, my killer matches so far have been largely the same just with survivors wasting more time NOT being on gens tryna do their boons which has been great for my pressure game.

Dead hard is what everyone uses for a reason.
I use it.
Shits broken and needs a nerf, if you aren't using it you are pretty much playing for fun because it's that broken.
I don't use it because Sprint Burst is king. I always used it with Vigil and now with the recent buffs to Vigil I have it 99ed all. the. time. So much better than DH, I use SB at the start of the chase then recover it in the middle of chase and get to use it again. I'm glad most people default to DH instead of learning how to manage SB coz I don't want that to cop cries for nerfs XD
-
I main Twins and refuse the slug playstyle because it's like shooting fish in a barrel. I like the challenge of using Victor to pressure gens/injure and ending chases as Charlotte. The survivors seem to have fun when they realise it's not a slugfest and I like providing that entertainment. Sorry you copped the favoured slimey playstyle
-
Yah I was meh about it for a while only experienced it as killer was very annoying but I wasn't too bothered by it, but played it as survivor for the first time last night and dear god it sucked so much I think I hate it as much as everyone else now I kept running into random dead end rooms in chase and ARGH
-
PIG!!!!
-
I never liked the rhetoric of "x perk is busted because it fixes your mistake." The point of perks is to help you out, no? Sure I definitely get frustrated when a survivor dead hards put of a downing hit, but "fixing your mistake" did a streamer say this or something yonks ago because everyone parrots it like it makes any sense lol.
It feels more like it's a loss aversion thing similar to NOED complaints, you think the chase is over (in the case of NOED, the match) and that you've won and then boop a perk ruins that good feeling. I get the psychology behind it, but for me sprint burst is the real time waster. People don't really complain about it like DH though because the clinch happens early on rather than when you (wrongfully) believe you should be entitled to the hit. Nothings a sure bet
