Recently my games have been going a lot smoother (on xbox one) than I'm used to. Hoping it's not just a fluke
-
Twins because being a ferocious pouncing baby just makes me laugh so much, still hasn't gotten old for me :')
Plague is my 2nd go to, for similar reasons, I'm just so entertained projectile vomiting over everyone I see. And when I've had a bad game as her and all 4 survivors are doing the t bag at the exit thing I get so much catharsis out of just standing there and vomitting in their general direction for the remainder of the EGC. It makes me feel like I get a proper chance to telegraph my displeasure at how the match went haha
-
Lmao what. We living in a world where you can be murdered by police for being black, and this is the hill someone's dying on. Some people really have no perspective... blackface is a societal tool used to explicitly denigrate and prevent black people from participating in their own representation. A fictional video game character who wears peoples faces? I couldn't think of a bigger waste of energy and platform, completely misses the mark. Outrage on behalf of others while it can come from a well intentioned place, can really highlight how little that person understands the struggles and priorities of marginalised people lol

In return your power reads, "All Survivors are Broken forever and cannot hide because they are noisy and glow green in the dark."
It is a fine trade off.
Believe me, unless you are fighting commando swat teams at the highest ranks, Survivors have a much higher win chance cleansing than not cleansing.
Maybe I'm doing plague wrong but my matches go a lot more smoothly when they cleanse and constantly give me corrupt purge, when they don't sure they're easier to find but my ranged ability is essentially gone so those chases I do get into go on for and obscenely longer time than they should coz I'm forced into M1 chases

No, that only works for god level players who can loop a killer for 5 gens with one arm tied behind his back.
For normal players cleansing is the correct play. Stop spreading around misinformation. This "don't cleanse against plague" nonsense is BS killers try to spread around to give Plague easier matches.
Well... as a Plague lover nothing is more frustrating in her matches than when survivors deny me my corrupt purge all my easy downs are impossible. But yes let's tell the survivors cleansing is the right move so my matches as her can feel less like pulling teeth XD
-
Excuse me leave my vommy mommy alone
-
Um. Look I do tend to go easier on survivors when there's a DC, but you shouldn't expect to be coddled in a PvP game.
-
I'm not exactly for Dead Hard, but I find Sprint Burst to be the perk that extends chases to the point where they may as well have a 3rd health state. When I play survivor DH is useless (I'm on last gen console) so it's Vigil + SB for me, constanting 99ing of it too. You can literally regain SB mid chase and it's so disgusting lol

Personally, as i said up there. I dont actually lose due to it. I just think its bypassing the most fun part of dead by daylight. the EGC.
How is it bypassing if they still have to open it anyways, I'm a bit confused, like hatch bypasses EGC but 99ing gates just delays it? What am I missing ><

Where you been? This thread seems to come up at least once every three months since EGC was introduced.
Clearly, I'm so bewildered by it what the hell haha
-
I reckon Vigil, Windows, Breakdown, Babysitter are my fave off meta survivor perks
Dance with me + Quick n quiet + Deception when I wanna try and be cheeky in chase but usually fail at it lol
-
Can't say I've ever heard someone complaining about 99ing exit gates. What's next you gonna complain about Mike Myers 99ing his power, it's strategy
-
Same reason everyone acts like jerks online, be it games or social media, anonymity brings out the worst in people. Historical war crimes come to mind for me, people felt indistinguishable from their peers when apart of military factions which imbued them with enough confidence to commit atrocities against civilians at their mercy, just coz.
-
I play on last gen console this is my DBD experience lately in a nutshell :'(

Base survivor with coms is op. Just look at otzdarvas latest experiment where he won 85% of his survivor matches with no perks. Perks are the icing on top that tip it over the edge.
Without items it was 56% so the average ended up being 70%.... which was the exact same percentage killer without perks was. If anything Otz showed it is items, not necessarily perks, that tip survivors over the edge. He also spent the back half of the video discussing how people dismiss the advantages us killers have in regards to winning & losing and how his stats reflect that \o/
-
Lol I know this is not at all the point you were trying to make but what's stopping you from running Dark Sense and an exhaustion perk o.O

Hi there ^^
I'm someone who currently lives in a third world country who got continuosly screwed over by western powers, so much so our country isn't even a century old. We literally had our independence during the end of World War 2.
And I think this kind of thinking and mindset doesn't help anyone at all. Are we as a society using a lot more energy than we need? Yes, but as individuals what we contribute are only a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the amount these megacorporations and crypto exchanges use to power themselves.
I don't think criticizing someone who lives in a first world country for being more environmentally and morally conscious about stuff like this helps. If anything you should encourage them to, you know, help vote away companies like Boss Protocol from being able to operate considering what they do. Because as you said it yourself, we're Islanders whose country was already wrecked by climate change.
Does that mean we should be shooting ourselves more in the foot by discouraging and putting the blame on individuals trying to fight for change?
Sorry for the vent it's just you probably understand why I'm so angry and exhausted about it better than most here

I used to wildly agree with your sentiment and appreciate it, but at this point in my life I'm very tired of well meaning westerners with empty words and lip service when the ocean is literally in my house. You know what the Australian government told my prime minister when the islanders got together with them to beg for more climate change action? They told us we should be happy with the prospecy of having to migrate to Australia and pick their fruits. What the hell. You can probably guess why I've gotten to such an angry place about it now

i think they were more referring to the idea that by playing in a certain way you deserve abuse.
Yeah they were, but it's waaay too tone deaf for my liking ><
Like people need to be careful about using issues with serious historical and systemic contexts as allegories for comparatively minor issues such as internet toxicity because it detracts from the gravity of something as serious and deeply rooted in society as sexual assault
-
Can't help but scoff tbh. Seeing people from first world countries get so outraged about NFTs while simultaneously enjoying the privileged comforts afforded to you at monumental environmental cost for the rest of us in the world, just rubs me the wrong way. BHVR is indefinsible in this regard, but neither are a lot of you guys. Sincerely, a very bitter islander whose country was already wrecked by climate change before NFT's even existed.

This is on the same level as "Its your fault for dressing that way" lmao. Thats stupid as hell dude and you know it, we should not excuse the behavior of these jerkwads and work towards creating a less toxic community.
Hmm I'm not so sure this is anywhere near on the same level as sexual assault and it's kinda insulting to suggest that lol
-
I think the lack of transparency BHVR has demonstrated here is indefensible. But I do find it hard to take people's outrage with this in regards to climate change too seriously, my country (more aptly archipelago) has already began to disappear over the last decade because of rising sea levels. NFT's are deplorable for the environment but so are most of the long standing capitalistic practises that give you your first world status that have already resulted in my nation drowning. I guess I'm just completely burnt out of my climate injustice rage at this point idk
-
I like to change it up but I usually play best when it's:
Killer - Tinkerer + Bamboozle + Coup + Corrupt or Oppression
Survivor - Iron will + Sprint burst + Vigil + Windows or Breakdown
-
Bunny Fengs and bright haired Neas D:
-
Whenever I get out of my depression slump and get back into my real life hobbies lol
-
It's one of my favourite ways to play but sometimes I miscount and accidentally kill someone :'(
-
Are you new
-
Sucks for you. I've barely noticed a difference and still having loads of fun stomping survivors
-
I do love throwing games to jump scare survivors constantly. I put cats eye on Victor and creep up to them in silence when 3-4 of them are on the same genny. Always hilarious when you make your move and then hear the multiple missed skillcheck explosions coz they are panicking and all pacman away in different directions
-
My main, Twins. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, I force myself to refrain from the Victor slug+camp hooks playstyle to give the survs a fair go.
-
Thats a hard ask where repetition is involved, nothing is scary once you've spent hundreds of hours exposed to that stimuli.
-
I compulsively buy so many dumb cosmetics that I'll never use I love em
-
This game is not very friendly to new players. I was dragged into this game by friends and almost quit forever too, the first 10 hours of play were torture, I genuinely didn't enjoy dying in 2 minutes and then sitting there watching everyone else play every game. The only reason I stuck with it was because my friends were obsessed and didn't wanna play anything else lol. Then eventually I tried out killer and discovered the fun I was looking for and never looked back.

Everyone gets mad at this game im sure of it but wouldnt it just be better to move along? Does it really give people better feeling when you can call other by names and yell at them? When i get frustrated i just press leave game button and move onto the next match. Or i take 5 minutes and go get something to drink. It wont make my day better to start lashing out.
When I was younger and much less further along in my emotional healing it did genuinely make me feel better which is very unhealthy :/ I'm not the proudest of it coz I now have better coping mechanism (well just got into drugs but that's a different conversation) + want to avoid causing unnecesary harm to others these days coz you're right, at some point I started to realise it would do me better to just move along and not perpetuate cycles of hate but when I was full of anger I just didn't care it was like "######### you if im hurting i want others to as well." It's hard because people shouldn't treat others in such a way, but I also get how some people can get themselves to that point where they take any opportunity to output their hate. Before I started to just get high if I'm in a bad place mentally I couldn't find a meaningful way to channel those feelings, so online toxicity was where I did it.
Overall while I standby sticks and stones, I do agree with your sentiment that ideally people shouldn't have to use that phrase in the first place

So in your mind everyone should just be tough and shrug it off when someone calls them names for no reason and is nasty? No its not ok.
I can take an insult and i can deal with bullies but when it happens multiple times a day it will take a toll . Not everyone is emotion free person.
Some people might have scars from school bullying some people tend to be softer at heart like i am. We are not all tough as rocks and nor should we be.
I just think its ridiculous that you give people who act like this a pass and say oh deal with it. Noone has the right to call anyone names or be racist towards someone else!
I get what you're saying but unfortunately I must agree with sticks and stones. Growing up abused I have trouble understanding how people can get so bent out of shape by words from internet strangers. That's probably a me problem, but it's also why I'm pretty calloused about the insults I hurl at others online. It kinda makes me feel better about my childhood in a sick spiteful way. Not really sure what my point is just some insight for one of the many reasons why people are toxic in general to others.
-
I'm also not sure body blocking is a "bad behaviour." That's an optimal play if the one being chased is dead on hook.
-
Who the hell taps to avoid skill checks?? Hitting a great one means faster progress I can't see why anyone would handicap themselves like that lol.
In any case, why are you so certain the 4 man escapes happened because of skillcheck avoidance??? It sounds more like they were coordinated, tapping is the least of your problems there
-
2ks against SWF comp teams sounds ideal to me? Am I missing something
-
BAMBOOZLE!! I'm not the best at shutting down strong loopers, especially with non ranged killers, and this perk has given me the upper hand more times than I wanna admit aha
-
I haven't heard that one the last 4 years in a row or anything lol >.>
-
As Twins at the end of a hard match for survivors where I 3 genned them and dragged out the game for way too long I reward them for their efforts at the exit by letting everyone kick Victor once
-
If I'm playing as survivor and mess up a pallet stun or flashlight save I find the nearest corner/wall and face it in shame, then wait for the killer to come and down me coz I'm so embarrassed and deserve to be hooked for my mistake lmao
-
If I could date any killer it would be Plague
-
I'm not too sure as many players would vote dislike as people here think they would. On just the forums and related sites, yeah, but majority of players are casual and don't bother with this forum or the subreddit etc.
-
I just continue playing normally and focus on my tome/daily challenges, it takes a lot for me to get tilted
-
This post just makes you come off as a bad sport
-
Hmmmm I used to have this problem a lot more than I do now, I got used to running like ONE second sooner than I feel like I safely can and it usually works out

i have no problem waiting 10 minutes more if im guaranteed to have fun, waiting to have fun is better than waiting for not having fun. thats the reason why i play this game. its a great solution actually, maybe so it doesnt get out of hand make it so you cant ban the same killer twice in a row or something, otherwise nurses and spirits would never get into a game (i wonder why, and maybe devs should adress why)
Your problem is your mindset. You already believe you are guaranteed no fun if the killer is spirit or nurse, no wonder it's getting to you :/
No match is a guarantee, but it is if you resign yourself and spit the dummy upon discovering who the killer is
-
@Kira4Evr said:
Am I the only one that doesn't give a ######### about MMR, as long as I can have fun? Like, why should I use my brain when I can throw pebbles at the killer?
And why should I try to get a 4k when I can stand still and miss my Huntress snipes :)
Agreed. If your fun in any type of game is entirely dependent on the other players and impossible to derive from yourself, you're doing it wrong lol
-
Same reason why people t bag your body after killing you in other games, for the lulz
