we've got anime visual novels on Xbox now, the console that was the most allergic to that sort of thing. Dunno why BHVR wouldn't want to release for as many platforms as possible...
unless it's too spicy for console? 🤤

I feel like only the killer should have access to a map offering, but really I think they shouldn't exist at all.
When you think about it, Killers are birthday party clowns who exist to please survivors. So it makes sense that they should be able to rehearse some kind of act/performance. Without this ability, niche builds like Scratched Mirror Myers die out completely.
As fun as that hyper-optimization can be for a unique experience, I feel like that optimization is a double edged sword. DbD is a random and chaotic game by its very nature so in a way, map offerings kind of violate the spirit of this.(In a way you could say SWF does too, but I disagree and think that's another topic entirely)
-
i feel like i sometimes get better value out of a hatch offering by baiting the killer into camping it meanwhile I just immediately bee-line it for a Gate.
-
Not necessarily killer power related, but I miss Thrill of the Hunt. A crappy, gimmicky build I enjoyed was what I called "Totem Wars" Mikey which was just Tombstone shenanigans but with 4 hexes.
Some games the survivors seemed absolutely hell bent on playing Capture the Flag with me.
I started during the Twins era so I don't really remember many legacy powers. There was DC salt-mine Spirit and Forever Freddy aka Sweaty Freddy but thankfully he's 6 ft in the ground where that setup belongs. Shame for Elm St. fans, though. Boring killer with bugger all for cosmetics.
I do remember Pyramid Head being more smooth when I first bought him. I regret getting bored with him so fast, because he got even more boring after they gave him arthritis. Deathslinger has arthritis now too but that change didn't bother me as I was never confident in my quick shots to begin with.
-
Right now I'm preparing for the endurance meta by hoarding as many Judith's Tombstones as humanly possible. Once this new web hits, it's gonna be such a huge PITA to get good addons for him, I'm not looking forward to it.
-
Thanatophobia and Dying Light are such boring perks.
-
tbh as somebody who loves short bursts of aggressive stealth(and as somebody who never runs BT...heh), the loss of Iron Will hurts so much, there is simply no replacing it. I'm gonna notice it on my Feng, Jane, Bill, Claire and Jill. But something had to give I guess
That being said, I think I'm gonna switch over to Bite the Bullet.
-
There's literally no pleasing people, so stop trying. It's the only way to maintain your sanity.
On the flipside, I've gotten hatemail and reported for giving hatch, because apparantly that's teaming. That was when I realized that you can't argue with stupid, or please stupid, so don't worry so much about it.
There's something funky in the water by the campfire, I swear

If you're looping at all then you're playing Mirror Myers all wrong. Just leave and find the next oblivious survivor.
it was more of a theoretical question. those t-rex arms can barely reach a sandwich on the kitchen table

Sorry but you can't actually get bloodlust in evil within tier 1. IDK why
it's because of the undetectable, right? that's how he gets infinitely looped
-
if we aren't going to show Rank/Grades anymore, what about just displaying Relationship status?

Or, we bring back the 5 second stun and make the perk actually useful again.
that would be more preferable for sure

have you played RE1??
i cant tell if this is bait or not..
the only person in the RE chapter that was done right is Leon... everyone else got butchered.
im still waiting for my beret
-
For once I'd actually be useful to the team besides just perma saboing hooks, I'd support it
-
I looooooooooove Legion but Thana can get bent
-
It's just how Event Dbd is
-
I just read this as "chances of going to Shelter Woods has gone up"
Cant say I care about Coal Tower
-
Hes far more useful than Sadako
-
It combos great with other perks like Tinkerer, especially for killers like Plague.
Cantsafely sit on gens and rely on DH and IW
-
I don't really run BT tbh, so I think this is a great change, even though it realistically will change almost nothing. But still, something's better than nothing.
-
the BT changes are good. My sanity can't take no BT no more, even though I'm a filthy hypocrite and never run it myself. BT is going back to its or iginal 15 second value right? I don't think it's going to change how I play much
-
I run Ruin and Retribution on Tombstone Myers, but that's because those perks slot themselves perfectly with the playstyle that Tombstone encourages. I couldn't care less if you cleanse them, it's basically my version of Haunted Grounds, with Ruin being the bait. It's a guaranteed 30 second slowdown, which matters for Mikey more than any other killer.
Anyone else...not a huge fan tbh except maybe Demo. I like Ruin on Demo because it's easy to proxy Ruin and Basement simultaneously..
-
I tend to run light on the gen defense, these changes are overall amazing. The 2.5% kicking and the +10 seconds are going to be a huge help. I actually love the Corrupt changes, they kept it good for the killers that need it but kinda gave the finger to Nurse and Blight.
I'm also happy that survivors get some kind of base BT.

Put plaything on him for the maximum spook
never considered that one before tbh, good idea
-
Can't say I enjoy Oni specifically because the few times I see them, they are blatantly PC players with cracked out DPI. Don't really give a rats butt that it's "skillful", I don't like blatantly losing to something that I physically can't replicate.
-
@TeabaggingGhostface said:
Play oni, equip both speed addons and go zoom
i love his speed build on Lery's, which people generally consider one of his worse maps. Throw on some aura reading +Tinkerer and you will get legit jumpscares from survivors haha
-
broken pin is terrible. Thana encouraging survivors to heal is a slowdown unto itself. if it's slowdown you want, the purple knife is the way to go. it's easier for us to injure all the survivors than it is for all of them to heal.
I already want to die just imagining going against this
-
this does come up once in a while. someone Really wants a 4k, and won't close the hatch. Tbh I think they should go even higher with the gen speed, I mean why not right? Have it be 400% or something for shits and giggles
-
because some people have nothing better to do than to try and get under random strangers' skins.
If everybody has made it out, I might heal but then I'm out. I value and respect other people's time but that's just how I was raised.

Actually a good chunk of people use BBQ and Chili specifically for the aura, not the bloodpoints. There have been a few polls about this over time and it seems like something like 40% or so of killers who use BBQ said they would use it even if it had no bloodpoint bonus just because they like its auras. (I’m not one of those killers, I like other tracking perks better, but it’s a playstyle preference.)
At first i only cared about the BP. But as time went on, I got sick of only having 3 perk slots since I didn't value the aura reading, so I weaned myself off BBQ even though I wanted the BP.
I quit BBQ for a long time, but it was Starstruck and the No Way Out changes are what got me back on it. I wanted a tracking perk that keeps me on the hunt looking for more stacks or easy downs. Then Mikaela came out and nobody cleansed anymore, so Noed, another perk that I had weaned myself off of, came back into my rotation as well.
-
you never know with solo q.
you could get a God Nurse, but that God Nurse could end up getting clowned on because they were unfortunate enough to face the Blendette/Nea Urban+Self Care Spine Chill in a corner squad and they just get absolutely ghosted.
The biggest issue I run into with Nurse is managing survivor morale. Teams seem to break down rather quickly. At least with a Bubba, more often than not people will stay on hook to give their death some meaning to help the others escape, but with Nurse it's like "nah i'm out"
-
I never bothered too much with the DMS combo, I used Starstruck more anyways so im not too bothered by it.
I will say though that I will miss the screaming especially with Doc. Pain Res+Iron Maiden is like a symphony of pain
-
Well, there goes one of my builds for Nurse :/
What an awful change.

Wait... you don´t watch your phone while going gens?
can't be assed to disinfect my phone regularly; phones be nasty
gaming makes me want to touch my eyes/bite my nails so the thought of that is revolting haha 😅
-
DCing at first down- sad, thanks for ruining the game for everybody else
DCing at the end of the match and giving up all the flan BP- hilarious(when unwarranted ofc, I try not to intentionally antagonize people)
-
dredge seems to be primarily a macro killer
-
Yeah, people struggle to not throw a childish temper tantrum. Some people absolutely cannot stand being "told" to do something, so they'd rather die to make some kind of point.
It's not merely a solo q issue. At 2am you can find SWFs fall apart because their Nea is allergic to Pinheads, and will send you messages calling you a sweaty tryhard despite having thrown up a Badham offering and the entire SWF has purple+pink Med kit addons
-
I don't get what 3 seconds is supposed to do. That sounds worthless, actually.
The perk already requires killer interaction to work, and even at 5 seconds already some killers still just run you over in their honda civics(nurse, blight, bubba)
I think I'd rather take my chances with Lucky Break or Shadowstep.

A true secondary objective for survivors would've been a better change, or some balancing of larger maps. But instead of that we've got more dull, un-interactive m1 simulator... yay 🙄
I try and give survivors a secondary objective with Pinhead and they don't seem to like that...at all. I think maps are the only hope we have..
-
im just happy about the iframes!
i cant wait to play Sadako and Spirit
-
hiding in a locker isn't a conspicuous action.

It's the end of an era, boys

Generic xbox namesare a great way to stay incognito
People assume I'm a legion main cuz my name is Swift Joey; nah man, Xbox has a kangaroo breeding issue

they srsly need to bring back the BP bonuses for WGLF
i always ran it & always gave me a reason to always take a hit or go for the unhooks
it promotes players to be a helping hand + more BP
its scummy since it really does feel like they just took it out just cause like ??
Thank God, I was sick of being farmed
-
Not sure about gens, but I'm pretty sure Sloppy will fail an invisible skill heck if you let go now basically.
It's superannoying when a survivor moves a centimeter repeatedly...
-
Bhvr could literally introduce Robert Englund as a survivor lmao. Maybe that would convince the Nightmare on Elm Street rights holders to quit being so stingy with their licence.

I like Otz but I’m not inclined to watch a one hour video about this. If someone wants to do a TLDR post with his bullet points that can be read in 5-10 minutes that would be useful.
he's the kind of guy you gotta pause and come back to another day; it's nice background noise when i'm eating
-
Self Care was always more balanced in principle over CoH; this is honestly such a gross change. If anything, Self Care should be the one spared because if you want the heal....you have to actually RUN THE PERK!!! Strange concept, I know.
Self Care can be really clutch, but if 4 survivors are running it, I don't have anything to be upset about. I'll take 12 perks +infinite slow med kits tbh
-
even if dead hard is "better", I think everybody is forgetting that old Dead Hard was absolutely terrible. Being able to dodge Doc blasts and such is complete bologna.
I can tolerate DH being better in some instances if it means it's less BS. The new DH does seem a bit tricky and powerful, don't mistake me, I'm sure I'll experience some frustration with it, but I don't believe this is a step backwards. Besides, survivors have had fat in other areas trimmed. Solos in particular are quite boned; let's worry more about that and questionable perk changes such as Self Care. Self Care is actually gonna be a huge loss for the casual playerbase
-
She'll at least have a slightly more...consistent experience...that's worth something, at least.
I'm happy for Rin. Dried Cherry Blossom will probably fall out of relevance now. Won't even need Stridor. The fact that there is no more Iron Will to worry about is more than enough. Time to run people down with sheer numbers addons.
