my buddy pallet slammed an Oni at the edge of the Swamp boat and the Oni teleported to the other side and got launched off the boat entirely.
-
It's a tough choice between Call of Brian and Surge.
-
I've had more obvious blowouts at 5 or 4 gens but I'm still having to work my butt off. i'm getting creamed every 2-3 matches, and I've been getting utterly destroyed by random stuff. I'm enjoying seeing what survivors try
The most important thing for me is that I can commit to my bad first chase slightly longer, or give up and try to recover and it's not completely hopeless.
-
Solo Q is a little more bearable when your team at least sort of tries. The anxiety levels of survivors have gone up, so in one weird way I've been finding some really awesome solo teams since the update(like, full on Endgame Heroes), but they are just so spread out because morale is at an all time low. It's a weird dichotomy
-
BBQ is a pretty good slowdown/pressure perk in todays meta.
Survivors don't have a whole lot of leeway to be goofing off anymore, so a perk like BBQ which minimizes your downtime and keeps the pressure going can really help grind the game to a halt.
BBQ has always had synergy with Lethal Pursuer, but that relationship has only gotten stronger now.

I'm already starved for iridescent addons for Sadako and Myers...
I'm addicted to the video tape, man.
-
I've seen all of 2 Spirits since AoT dropped. 1 of which was a Warhammer Titan but a salty teammate DC'd in loading screen when they saw me take an RPD badge.
I want to play more Spirits :(

This is not happening. Nice try.
some of us are actually enjoying this update a bit, and are pissed off that people are sandbagging, giving up, DCing, suiciding and throwing even harder than before.

They should be hidden if anything.
I disagree only because if I see an openly racist or disgusting name I dodge or decide to just tunnel that person into the ground.
Even other survivors will try cooperating with the killer to get racists killed, I would be ashamed of myself if I gave a racist dirtbag Hatch.
-
You lost me at "I'm at the highest MMR"
There is no way to know that.
-
When games arent lost at 5 gens, my teams have been slightly more competent because none of us trust each other to do gens LOL
That's why I'm so angry because I am also getting survivors who come in looking for an excuse to give up, and I'm tired of dying for "The Cause"
I'd rather die due to a self caring Blendette than to be used for some kind of statement.
-
As somebody who used to dabble in Pinhead, and has always loved Legion, sadly this is nothing new.
I'm not perfect nor do I claim to be. I was malding so hard when Boil Over released, I admit I had a game where I gave up and stared at a wall. As lame as it is for a killer to give up, since everybody gets bored, giving up as survivor is 100x worse because you drag your entire team down with you.
The fact that people are advocating to mass suicide to make a point to BHVR is really pathetic.
I've lost so many games because people spawn in looking to die or immediately play for hatch, like BRO c'mon just take a break.
-
I wish wed get a steady stream of decentish perks rather than constant garbage with the occasional God perk.
Like, release Boil Over was literally apocalyptic levels of terrible. I'm glad that's gone forever. But I dont hate the fact that survivors have strong perks. I want even matches where we both try our hardest.
-
I couldn't notice a difference but maybe I wasnt trying hard enough
-
Humans are primates, and primates are sadists who indulge in casual sadism for no real reason.
People ruin everything. I'm loving the no DH, faster breaking and slower gens because I feel like I can goof off a bit but some people see these changes and go "How can I ruin more peoples day?"
-
I've literally seen 2 legions since the update.
-
I'm happy I'm not the only one who has done it.
-
Perks like Deadlock feel like they encourage camping, meanwhile perks like Ruin which encourages you to walk around and spook people gets dumpstered
-
before the update was bad enough. Plague? Give up. Legion? Give up. Pinhead? Give up. Found first? Give up. deliverance? Give up. Found with Distortion? Give up. Franklins? Give up.
It's crazy now

DS needed the end game change, but the stun duration is a joke
the end game change is fair imo. If it doesn't work in the end game and still requires a skill check, I think it's absolutely fair for DS to be 5 seconds

@Jago said:
It's a deadzone, so it's a down.
New DS requires strategy and to think where to go down / hide in a locker to avoid... What you just showed.
I caught this girl with her pants down with my power, she didn't really have the luxury of choosing where to go down.

@fulltonon said:
this time it doesn't seems to be a DS issue.
You can't even make it to a vault now, let alone make any meaningful distance against an M1 killer. Every survivor I've ran across with DS has only gotten ran over mercilessly.

Stealth deserves to be OP tbh, it's been chasing meta for so long, why not make stealth meta!
with the death of Iron Will, it's nice to see that they tossed us some bones. People laugh, scoff and ridicule at stelff but against Killers like Nurse, the joke tends to be on them.
-
I'm so happy to see this perk not be a meme now. Lightweight for some reason catches the eye of lots of new players, and now it's actually throwing killers off, I couldn't be happier to see it.
Both Lightweight and Lucky Break have destroyed me.

It's more efficient to separate when the slowdowns aren't in play but if you have slowdowns stacked up it's better to repair in sets of 2 because the repair speed buff will actually save you time compared to trying to do a 3 minute generator by yourself, so I guess you would say early on it's better to start separate but then team up after your first gen pops and to negate the pressure that pops up from slowdowns, but that's just my opinion we all have different one.
It's better to push through Thana gens with a buddy? Maybe I'm psyching myself out watching that red bar take ages to fill up haha
-
is that not normal? Because during the day, everybody wants to play DbD, but then when it dark and scary, it's time to put DbD down unless you're playing with the Bois after work.
-
I'd say overall....the balance is ok...but everything's on a razors edge and that's why Solo Q is floundering a bit. You don't got time to twiddle your thumbs anymore, so I think Kindred really ought to be basekit and that feature where you can see what all your teammates are doing.
Solo Q staring contests need to die...
-
Sadako does not need anything mindblowing for a buff.
All she literally needs is to eat some of her addons and have them fuse into her base kit. In particular, the faster Movespeed after Teleporting, her brown/yellow Chase addons, and her Iri Videotape addon.
Imo I think it's gross that her Video tape isn't base kit. I don't think this is like Pinhead's Engineer's Feng where it's simply a top tier addon that's good, I think the Video Tape is actually a CORE part of Sadako's kit and I'm tired of it being locked behind BP.(with the new Prestige, good luck finding any tapes...)
Chaining BBQ and Teleports can create a gameplay loop where you're constantly pressuring Survivors with chases, and exerting your pressure around the map, all while slowly building up condemned. You likely won't Condemn anybody, but the threat of it coming up will be there.
Sadako already has the tools she needs to grow :(
-
Killers have been in an overall miserable state since the Witchy Woman dropped- it's not a surprise that Killers pretty crowded. Spirit has entered the new Golden Age, gimmick joke builds like Skill Check Doc and Wraith got funnier and more usable.
I could choose to interpret the queue time as "gaem dead!" but I'm choosing a more positive interpretation for now.
A lot of us killers felt pressured into playing Solo Survivor these past few months. Now we're migrating back.
-
I wanna marry the new hatch.

"best Meta we ever had", only if the Slowdown-Meta would have been nuked as well.
When you play crap like Enduring and Spies from the Shadows, it really is the best meta right now. It's a shame that cheeseball killers are trying to ruin it.
-
it's really clutch, I'm using it a lot more now. But still I try not to coop gens if I can help it, even with the speed boost I feel like it'd be more efficient sometimes to just find a new generator.
-
@CluelessWanderer said:
All Ive notice is everyone is running Prove Thyself including me. I never used to run it but now it's necessary.
I'm actually split on Prove Thyself. The gen speed is nice, but gens feel even slower to coop imo, I'd almost rather be doing a generator by myself.
I'm loving it for dealing with High Priority generators though like the RPD Main Lobby
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
I've seen a lot more of sprint burst and lithe. Prove Thyself is rearing it's head more frequently too.
Borrowed, circle of healing, adrenaline, unbreakable are still meta.
So many exhaustion perks haha. I'm trying to succ as the Armored Titan but everybody sprints away from generators or windows at Mach 5 haha. I need to actually start paying attention to windows now because the amount of Lithes I see is insane
It's a little rough but it's the good kind of rough.
-
idk im just running random crap. Sometimes a spellcaster build, sometimes a Breakout build. New Distortion is pretty cracked. Alert is good. Second Wind is neat. Lucky Break can be powerful
With Iron Will being taken down a notch, you might start to see more Bite the Bullets.
-
ds needs to go back to 5 seconds
-
I'm still running BBQ
-
tbh Attack on Titan was the only thing I really wanted to see.
But I suppose I wouldn't mind a cosmetic of Shinichi from Parasyte

"They spent alot of time experiencing these same problems" is my exact point. If its bad and unskilled for survivors to have second chance perks, then why is it only okay for killers to have strong second chance perks? Its hypocrisy.
hypocrisy...? you know this is an asymmetrical game?
-
in this meta I'm relying more on just chasing and maintaining control of the last couple generators.
I can actually horrifically lose a chase and ONLY lose 2 generators! I've been using more gimmicky perks I enjoy like Enduring and I've been having a lot of fun
-
im having tons of fun on both sides ^^

@Omans said:
Don't know what these people are talking about. Stealth can't consistently buy you any meaningful time against a killer who actually knows how to play.
If you can't find survivors well, that's fine, but all the top killers would love it if you spent more of your time trying to stealth.
The key to stealth is to hide while simultaneously making the killer look for you.
Hiding for the sake of it is obviously pointless but if you keep making the killer proxy your Last Known Location, that's almost the same thing as looping.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
Stealth is the survivor equivalent of camping and tunneling. It's not interactive, and it's not fun for the other side. It's the reason why camping and tunneling need to exist. Why should a killer leave a hooked survivor if the other survivors are so difficult to find? If the game wants to force killers to spread hooks instead of tunneling, it needs to hard nerf stealth so that killers can reliably find someone if they leave a hooked survivor.
Killers dont owe survivors anything, and the reverse istrue. A survivors job is to survive by any means necessary, the killer experience isnt relevant to them.
Plenty of people enjoy stealth, and plenty of people enjoy looping. You'll never get a consensus on which the game should cater to, and imo it never should.
-
Seems strong af for Survivors, but balanced I guess. Good for them.
OTR seems like a nice pair with Deliverance
-
The new Spine Chill is useless on multi storey maps now isnt it?
-
@DBDVulture said:
Once upon a time in 2016 stealth was the best option too. Back then however the game had mist.

Iron Will is hardly dead. You just cant use it with an exhaustion perk. Old IW with sprint was better but thats not an option. I do better with IW and no sprint than I do with sprint and no IW.
But then again I am an OG stealther.
I dont careabout Exhaust, I only cared about the 100%. The 75 isstill powerful, but Icant do the same Special Forces shenanigans I could at 100%
-
Stealth is a ton of fun and I'm glad it's stillviable with Iron Will being dead.
The job of a chased survivor is to BUY TIME. It just so happens that the way I enjoy doing so is by aggressively power walking with Fixated Haha
when a God Nurse/Blight who downs survs in 10 seconds gets absolutely stumped by Going Dark, to me that is ecstasy.

@Coffeecrashing said:
Spirit was miles better before her nerfs. People used to say she was better than Blight. Think about that for a moment. Better than Blight.
For sure.

Also I love how I just see the word Spirit on a thread title and just click mindlessly before actually reading the whole title.
Itll be a strange day forthe forums whenever you stop answering the Spirit Signal xD
